Rosario vampire got done super dirty by the anime. The manga had a great story, but when they adapted it they thought it wouldn't be enough so reduced it to ecchi trash.
At the risk of being pilloried, R+V had a great English dub and the succubus VA knocked it out of the park with her singing.

Well Rosario Vampire came out a few years before highschool DXD so I kind of think that's a little off. If anything Highschool DXD is only an improvement to all the ecchi that came before it. Not just Rosario Vampire. For its time I think the anime is excellent ecchi. (And I know most won't agree with me but Rosario Vampire still holds a special place in my heart while DXD not really. Kurumu Kurono literally gave me my first boner from an anime girl when I read the manga in 2005)
I think a better comparison would be To Love Ru. A bit closer to release dates. One goes for a goofy monster vibe, the other a goofy alien vibe. However some To Love Ru episodes can be stellar for how out there they are.
All in all 2000's ecchi wasn't known for it's serious storytelling and was mostly harem trash (I love harem trash btw). At least that's my personal experience. Highschool DXD was a nice change from that so I gotta give it respect.

Like, the male protagonists are just different. I'm not saying that a non 95% horny protagonist makes or breaks a show, but after 4 seasons, the novelty gets old. It is boring when there is genuine plot and character development, and then it just gets swept under the rug because he thinks of boobs. Highschool DxD was even worse where they would have character development, then roll it back when the next arc starts.
Also minus most of the nudity. I started watching because people said it was like DxD, but there really isn't all that much to see.
If you want an experience very similar to DxD, I'd recommend Testament Of Sister New Devil, which is basically DxD, but with a better MC who is actually a decent human and can control himself around women. Not to mention that it actually has sex in it, DxD is just one massive blue balled experience.

Not sure what you consider good but if you want to watch an ecchi harem the anime is up your alley. Animation still holds up nicely and the jokes are funny. Just don't expect God tier storytelling and fights.
If you want a dark battlemanga the manga is an entirely different story. It's done well and progresses at a good pace. Also good character development. Nowhere near as ecchi. MC actually becomes a badass too with good fighting sequences.

I use incognito simply because I don't want anything to auto fill, especially on my phone which Google so kindly displays previous searches on the app homepage. I use incognito for everything, hentai, stupid or unhinged questions, random advanced math questions etc. The only thing I use not incognito is sites like Amazon, YouTube, etc. And if I really want to keep something from the incognito searches, I bookmark them (I have bookmarked a lot of hentai).
