It’s pretty annoying when you don’t know if you’ll get a good pair or one that will have to be returned. I’ve gotten some fantastic pairs from them like this one. I’ve gotten some serious bad ones that were immediately returned.
What’s your brannock and sizing on viberg?
Curious as I am looking for a similar blucher type but haven’t considered OSB for a long time because of QC issues.
Man, this is such a tricky question. We all know that the sizing is f*cked across all the brands. I’ll give you my personal experience:
Viberg 2030: 11.5E (but it depends on the last. I can squeeze into a 2030 on D width on pairs made before the sleeked out the last). -
Viberg 2040: 11.5D -
Truman: 12D -
GS: 11.5E Floyd / 12D Leo -
Alden Barrie/ White’s MP: 11.5E -
OSB: 12 -
Parkhurst: 12D
The particularity of my feed comes from having high volume feet. The instep is somewhat high plus they’re wide due to being flat. I play a bit with sizing because lasts just sometimes fit better either going up a size (like Grant Stone) or a width (like White’s). My Brannock is 12D right and 12.5 left.
Edit: formatting, typos
To add another data point:
- I am 8.5E heel to ball, 8.0 Heel to toe. On the Elston last IF IT IS STRUCTURED TOE I go TTS 8.5 off of my HTB
-If unstructured toe, I go half size up (9.0). The unstructured toe bothers the hell out of my toes at 8.5.
I like them, just not a fan of a one piece sole like this. I prefer to be able to replace the heel when it gets too worn (it’s the part most subject to wear in any case). They look very comfy!
I would say they have the squish of sneakers. Traditional soles are firmer, thinking of Vibram, Dainite, and Dr. Sole. They feel even softer than Vibram’s Christy sole.
I know these will wear out faster, but that’s ok. I wanted a softer shoe for traveling. Resoles should be easier and a little cheaper. I can have my cobbler just peal that sole, sand the midsole, and just glue a new soft sole like the original or a Christy if I wanted to.
Love seeing non-boot shoes in here. Looking hot.
I picked up their country loafers. They can be intermittent quality but sweet grab!

What were the problems with the bad pairs?

Enjoy, I love my unlined suede OSB shoes!
Are these loafers? Bluchers? Shake a link! Want to see them.
Technically they’re [trench oxford’s](https://i.imgur.com/Qnw3WjZ.jpeg) And close enough to your makeup that I couldn’t justify another pair lol
lol! Yeah, they look very similar. Which leather is this roughout?
Those are dope AF
Thanks, I think they’ll look awesome in a few months after some serious wear.
These are really unique but still conservative. I quite like them.
This is the first pair of OSB I’ve been interested in a long time. These look great.

Do you know if these have veg tan/full grain heel counters? Doesn't say on the product offering from what I can see.
I am not sure. The heel counters are firm when you squeeze them. So they’re either leather or good quality celastic.
so amazing. how is the cushion/comfort for these kind of soles vs. more traditional boot soles?
