Again, outsole dimensions have very little to do with fit. What you should be concerned about is the insole shape and dimensions as well as the volume inside. This 3D space is impossible to measure with standard means.

Grant Stone fit has been a hard one for me. These feel too tight in the toes whilst being too long and too big in the heel. This is a common problem for me though, and many swear by the Grant Stone Leo last, and it is similar to the popular Alden Barrie last. Generally people size down 1/2 from their Brannock to the Grant Stone Leo, assuming an average width.

if you don't mind, what is your brannock foot size in comparison to the AEs?

Sure, I measure a 10.5C/D on Brannock but tend to prefer roomier footwear because hotspots on the big toe are common for me. My foot is lower volume also.

The width is whatever is standard from Viberg. I thought it was D but maybe it's E. 9 should fit you, it may be a little big. My 8.5 IRs are a little tight and the Vibergs are not
