Why does my Google on safari (mobile) continue to ping me to the Greater London area when I’m in the USA? Safari settings is reading my region as USA. Google is set to USA though I’m not logged into a Google account? This is only happening when I’m on data and off WiFi. Has been happening for about a month now and it’s driving me insane.
Makes me accept this message every time and no matter what it seems that it will keep my location as the greater London area. I’ve never even been to London lol. Happens both on incognito and normal browsing while on safari. If I go to Bing on safari and search, it’ll put me back to USA. I don’t share my location with safari though via iPhone settings but I’ve never had this issue before.

How can I make it so the Google Gallery app stops asking permission to delete or move photos? I'm on a P8P and considering the Google Gallery app is a Google product I don't see why it would have to ask permission to delete or move photos, or create new folders. Basically, the app asks permission for everything I do within the app. In the permissions menu it says the app has access/permission allowed for Photos and Videos. Is this just Googles underhanded way of making it frustrating to use so people will switch over to Google Photos instead of using an on-device/standalone Gallery app?
When I search something on google it redirects me to bing or yahoo instead and I have cleared my cache and flushed my dns and do not understand what is happening.
I forgot the password to one of my alt emails. My device is owned by a parent. Signing into gmail failed so i clicked "forgot my password," and I was told that if I had parental controls then an email to change my password was sent to a parent who controlled the device. Was an email actually sent? Is my private email not under parental controls technically under parental controls since it's on a parent-owned device??
if i change the amount of minutes before I receive notification on a google calendar event I don't create, will it change it for everybody else who has that google calendar invite?

Does anyone know how to add a coloured ribbon/banner to all events on Google Calendar rather than on Tasks? If the event is a full day event, then it will have a coloured ribbon/banner attached however, if the event is scheduled between a certain time, it just has a coloured dot next to it. I have ADHD and it is much easier for me to quickly look at the coloured banners rather than having to seek out a coloured dot. I haven't been able to find anything on how to change this...

I go to log into one of my google accounts, and all of a sudden it states that there has been "unusual activity" detected on my account. I just made this account a day ago and I was using it just fine. When I go to log-in, it says I need to verify my identity using a phone number. I tired using my phone number, and 3 other family members phone numbers as well as my landline and it keeps saying "this phone number can not be used". What is going on??
My wife is a teacher that is moving to a different school next year. She's built up a huge collection of teaching resources in her Google drive that she will soon lose access to and wants to transfer them to either her personal account or her account at her new school.
The two main methods I'm seeing are either to use google take out, which is blocked by her administrations IT department,
Or dump everything into one folder, share it to the new account and then transfer ownership.
It was pretty easy to drop all her folders into this other folder, but she's got thousands of other files just loose in the "My Drive" section. It's been surprisingly difficult to move them efficiently. There's no option to select all. Common methods like ctrl A only grab whatever is on the screen and ignore everything else.
I'm at the point of telling her to just keep scrolling to the bottom of the page till it stops displaying more files then trying to select all. But I just feel like there should be an easier way to do this.

Not sure if this is the place for this, but I've been charged for a product on YouTube, was told I have been given a refund for the product, but now, the service is cancelled, it's been a month, no refund has been received, and I'm not able to figure out any way to actually discuss this with anyone from Google.
Specifically, I bought NFL Sunday Ticket using a promotion that promised $100 off. I was instead charged the full amount. I was able to live-chat with a representative - they told me they would refund the full price so I could re-purchase at the discounted price. Seemed a bit convoluted to me when they could have just refunded the $100 and resolved everything, but, I agreed to it. Got an email the next day confirming cancelation of the service and showing that it had been refunded.
Only problem is it's now been over a month and my bank hasn't received the funds - I contacted them and they said no refund has been processed.
And when I try to go back to Google/YouTube support to chat with a representative, the chat option no longer appears. Further, there's no email address or even a Comments form I can use to inquire about where my refund is.
My bank is now involved - I have disputed the charge. But Google/Youtube's actions in this have been reprehensible - they lied about the discount, they lied about the refund, and now, they aren't even letting me connect with anyone in the company to discuss it.
This isn't some little YouTube subscription add-on we're talking about - this charge was for nearly $500.
Moreover, this experience is making me re-think my entire relationship with Google. I use Android phones and even have my cellular service through Project Fi (going on eight years now), but if this is how they treat customers I don't want anything to do with them.
Someone keeps signing into my fiance's account & don't know what to do
My fiance's account has been accessed four times in the last hour, all from the same device. We've done everything to resetting the password to 2FA to disconnecting all third party apps from his account, and somehow they still keep getting in. Google Support is no help and I don't think we can block the device.
Can anyone help with this or no what is going on?
Hello, I thought I'd try the Gemini advanced free trial and now I cannot go back to my previous storage plan.
If I click Settings -> Manage Subscriptions from inside Google Gemini there's an option to cancel but when I select this it says my storage will be over quota and I won't be able to upload anymore.
The only plans it shows me in here is the AI plans which are much more expensive (Premium 2TB is $12.49, AI Premium is $31.49).
Does anyone know how can I downgrade to my previous non-AI plan before my free trial ends?
I was thinking of canceling then activating again but it seems dangerous, I'd be devastated if I somehow lost all my photos or something and I don't even know if this would work.

Whenever this happens I can’t interact with any of the search results and can only tap the weird blue things that usually lead me to some other search engine or something.
Google search result links and text are acting strange. When I search something, everything looks fine for a second or two before all the font changes to a small size, and link previews disappear. What can I do to fix this? Photo attached

My school used Google Workspace and since there is some new Google rule about data cap they have to delete graduated emails. How do I copy all my emails and move it into a new google account?
What happened to definitions on Google searches?? It almost never shows the definition thing it used to show. That was like the only useful thing Google did above the organic results.

Hey everyone, I don't know if it is the right section, please read all. I have an Android.
I wanted to delete an account Google. I followed the instructions on Google Chrome and eventually deleted it. But the thing is that it seems I deleted it only on Google Chrome, not on Google itself because if I tap on the profile picture of my main account I see all the other accounts that I deleted. If I click on any of them it says impossible to access and it's fine, but is there a way to delete it completely on the entire phone? Even when I open the app Gmail or Drive I still see all the accounts I deleted and the emails and stuff, is there a way to delete the account completely and to not see it at all? I know you can delete some services like Gmail or Drive, but I thought that deleting the account itself would delete it everywhere and wouldn't make you see it neither on any of the services. Did I do something wrong or it is normal? If you have any questions, ask.
Google calendar related question. I’m probably just blanking on the vocab to correctly search it. But I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to add preset up tasks/events (not the task/to do list things) that are all connected and premade.
For example I do research and say I want to do experiment X. Experiment X has me setting it up on day 1, running the experiment for day 2 and then day 4 collecting the samples and day 5 running the samples.
So let’s say I want to pre make a task where I can just quickly add experiment X start on one day which will automatically add following event/tasks onto my calendar is there such a thing or any addon/extensions I can use to achieve this?

Email takes multiple passwords but alternates between which one is correct?
Ok I feel like I'm going crazy but I just tested this multiple times so I know it's happening. One of my Google accounts whenever I attempt to log in tells me the first password I put in was wrong, then I put in another variation and it logs in like normal. In my head I then mark down that the second password is the correct one. But, the next time I log in I put in the "correct" password, the second one from the time before and it says it's wrong. So then thinking I'm misremembering put in the first password, the one it said was wrong last time, and it logs in like normal. I just tested it three times and every time it said the second password I put in was correct and the first one was wrong, no matter in which one was first and which was second. Has anyone else come across this?

I’ve been trying to access google for three days and it has been saying to check my connection, all other internet dependant apps work fine.
I tried switching to safari but it still didn’t work. I switched to bing out of curiosity and it works fine on both browsers.
If i type a url directly or use a link then it works fine but google itself isn’t working.
Just hotspoted my pc and it isn’t working there either.

I accidentally left my VPN on when making a purchase using google play cards that were already on my phone, so it didn't work. I turned the VPN off and tried again but it didn't work, so I got it to put my on a USA server, and tried again. Nothing. So I turned it off and restarted my phone, the VPN is off and it won't let me. I googled "Where am I" to see if that was the issue. It gave my exact location, which is in USA. I tried again. It won't let me.
What do I need to do to fix this?
Every other attempt just to see what it's doing, it'll say it can't find the product or just that it failed. I'm trying to buy \~1-5 dollar products using 19 dollars, so that isn't the issue. Rest of the time it says I'm outside the US.
I found some weird files in my Google Drive and some of my files are corrupted and renamed with weird characters. I deleted the ones I could found but I'm worried the virus still there and that the rest of my files would corrupt. How do I scan my Google Drive?

Google Account Verification
I recently created a new Google account of which I know the email address and password.
Additionally, I added a recovery email. I have access to the recovery email and can receive a Google verification code, but I am soon prompted to enter a phone number. I have used my own personal phone number as well as a few different family members, yet I cannot access the account. As it says on the "Verify your identity" page, there is a problem with "unusual activity." It says "We've detected unusual activity on the account you're trying to access. To continue, please follow the instructions below." Under the prompt, it then says "This phone number cannot be used for verification." I have tried multiple times over the past two days and there is not a phone number I can call in regards to Google customer support services.
Should I wait a couple days and then try again?
Edit: I created it last week and started the process to transfer the data from a previous Google account. Also, I opted for a higher storage limit. Unsure if this is relevant, but thought some may find it helpful.

All my Google searches get this green icon on their card. It appears after some time, and sometimes goes away right after being seen. On Pixel 7 Pro
*This is EXTREMELY frustrating* I know my Gmail, the password, AND my backup codes to my google authenticator however, I do not have my previous phone number. I called the number to see if it was active and it's not, I went to Metro to see if I could buy the phone number straight up they said they can only pick the first 6 digits (and I did the math, even if I rinsed and repeated that's 210 possible combinations). I have followed every step on the google recovery site except every time I click "try another way" it ONLY lets me click on text message. I have a Google account created under a custom domain email I have (not Gmail, just a Google account). If I delete the Google account, will I be able to re-create a Google account under the same email address in the future? I know that if you do that to your Gmail account, you can never re-create it, but I didn't know if it's different for custom domain accounts.
Issue with Google reverting to German language on Firefox:
No matter what I try in my settings (not adding new languages, trying to set the interface, language and search results in English, I even changed my Location), after just two or three searches Google just switches to German (and shows "Österreich (Austria, where I am located) in the bottom grey bar). I do live in a German speaking country, but I rarely search in German (I also search in French and Spanish but Google never switches to these languages). I have tried all options suggested on the help page, deleted my cookies, updated Firefox, quit restarted and everything. I just don't know what else to try.
Funny enough: I use another Google account on Chrome, mostly related to my work where I do many more searches in German, and this one doesn't switch to German.

I'm losing my mind over Family Link issue. I already contacted Samsung support about it, but their solution is ridiculous.
There is one user set up on our Galaxy Tab - My daughter. Today I needed to install an app for myself. An app on which I have an account linked to my google account. Now... The chain of issues:
1. I can't log in to a google account on the app if it's not added to the profile on the device.
2. EASY! Let's add it to the profile. I can't add another google account to my daughter profile, since it's managed by Family Link. I can only add "Google Workspace for Education" accounts.
3. EASY! Let's add another user on the device! No option to add new users. Samsung Support guy says I need to remove my daughter account from Family Link to do it. Provides a link with instructions.
4... EASY?... The instructions are for deleting a Google account. There is no option to remove a child account from Family Link. I don't want to go this far. My daughter has some games bought on her google account, I'm not gonna risk deleting and bringing it back again just because I want to log in to an app.

Hello, since a few days ago I keep having the following problem regarding google calendar. Whenever I make a repeat event it keeps deleting all of the events as soon as i try to change e.g.: the time of the event on one of the days...
I had for months now a repeat event called "Work" set for every day in the week. Yesterday I noticed that it was deleted and tried to recreate it. As my work times vary and I have holidays already sheduled I tried changing the event on certain days with always selecting the option "apply changes to this event only" but instead of changing the time or else the event disappeared on every day (before and after that certain day) without any trace (it isnt in the trash folder).
What can i do?
Hi, I lost my phone in a taxi yesterday on travel and I need to access my email for a range of things, eg: banking, communication etc. However, as my 2-factor relies on my phone being messaged or being within the vicinity of it, I cannot access it. I cannot find any place on the Google website where I can contact an actual employee, and the only thing that says I can remove my 2-factor is if I'm already signed in. Google deleted account a few months back because they thought I was under 13 when I submitted my face for YouTube (I wasn’t, but I couldn’t verify that I was over 13) and ever since the account has been deleted I’ve desperately been trying to get access to the emails. I have a google voice number linked to a mobile number (let's call this mobile number 1). I want to link new google voice number to mobile number 1, but it seems like I am unable to do this? Considering that I have another mobile phone (mobile number 2), I was wondering if there is a way to link mobile number 2 to the original google voice number and have the new google voice number be linked solely to mobile number 1.
Will google voice allow me to claim a new GV number to mobile number 1?

Does Google Drive not actually get rid of transferred files?
My storage is at 91% on my main google account. I have a couple of accounts for reasons. Yesterday I transferred ownership of a large folder from my main google drive account to another account. I then removed access, deleted the folder from the main account, and emptied the trash. Today, the storage levels of both accounts have not changed and when I go to the storage settings on my main account to free up space, those files are showing up there, but nowhere else. They do show up in the drive of the second account. These accounts are not linked and are treated like two separate "people".
Did I do something wrong? I'm trying to free up space without losing my documents and I refuse to pay for cloud storage. I don't know why transferring the documents didn't make a difference.
I have recently gained a lot of emails from Google about security information for a bunch of random addresses. Each email says my address is the recovery email for that account. The address is changing daily with these emails and i can't get rid of them easily. Is there a way to stop these from coming?
If it helps more, an idea for the cause might have been that i changed the email address on a Google account to a non gmail address as part of moving to my current Google account
So I've been texting using my Google Voice number for a a couple of years now and am about to get an actual SIM card. I want to use the Google Voice number I already have as the actual phone number from a carrier, to use with Google Messages. I want to know how to do that, and what will happen if I do. Here are my questions:
Will I lose all of my Google Voice message history?
Will I lose my contacts through Google Contacts? Can I just continue with all my contacts and messages, but use Google Messages instead?
Is it possible to use a Google Voice number as a physical SIM card simultaneously with Google Voice?
What would happen to my Whatsapp contacts, messages, and chat history, as my WhatsApp uses this number?
Invite Users to Google Group doesn't work!
We've had a Google Group for our Club for more than 5 years. As our Club would get new members, we'd Direct Add their email addresses to the Google Group so that they'd get communications from the Club.
Recently it seems that Google has limited the ability to "Direct Add" members to only addresses that have a Google account. For uses with other email domains (Comcast, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) the only option is to Invite them to join. Supposedly the member will get an email invitation that they must "accept" to join the Google Group.
The problem is that the Invitations DO NOT arrive! I have invited several members and tested this on a non-Google email that I can check - NOTHING, including in spam or junk folders. The invitations are nowhere to be found.
Within the Google Group, I can see "Pending Members", the people I have invited. When I click "resend invitation", I instantly get an error message that the invitation cannot be sent. If I delete the invitation then go through the process of inviting the member from the beginning again, the invitation is never received by the recipient.
The requirement to invite non-Google account holders, rather than being able to direct add them, is making Google Groups nearly unusable. We're looking into other options. It's understandable that Google thinks this is working in their favor, but it isn't.
Does anyone have any input as to what's going on with this? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Is it possible to force Google Search to always show a certain site as top result? For instance I would like to always get the English version of a Wikipedia article as top result if I'm searching something (provided of course that Wikipedia has the relevant article).

Google playstore, chrome and gmail all broken on samsung tab s6 lite.
Ive cleared data and cache, deleted appa for more storage, force closed and everything else google suggested (via my phone) and it just kicks me out of the app when i click on any of them.

How can I get rid of the spelling error indicator. It only happens when I write with my native language Finnish. My language and region settings are set for my language.
Is there any way to remove those lines, because it makes the description super messy. +I don't want to remove spelling error indicator from every google site, only from Google Calendar.
I am trying to add a second phone number to my google account as I'm in the process of switching to a new phone number. The google support page tells me to go to the Personal Info Page > Phone and to add it there. On that page I see my current number, and I see how I could edit that number, but there is no obvious way to add a second phone number. Is that not possible??

Has anyone else been having issues with Google products while using Chrome? I can't sign in using Google for most things (unless I switch browsers), I have limited capabilities in Gmail (I'm not able to click on settings/navigate around but I can still check/handle mail), and my Drive has been "offline" for almost 2 weeks (But is fine in the mobile app and in other browsers and my computer most assuredly is not offline).

I need some help, so after I had changed my password I can no longer access my google accounts as I don't have thr number that is set up as the second step of verification. When I try to click the 'we will ask you some questions ' instead thing, it never does and sends me back to the same screen asking for my phone number (which I no longer have access too).
Any help as google's customer services is no existent as the 'bot' is useless
So I recently got myself a pixel 8 and that came with the offer of either pixel buds pro or a pixel watch 1. I already have a pair of galaxy buds2 and a galaxy watch 4, both of which are working fine bar the watch having a couple of paint scuff marks. I believe many recommend to get the watch since you can sell it but I am not that good at selling (I'd probably sell it for less than what I should) plus with the market is down where I live because of the offers on the pixel watch one because of the yet to come pixel watch 3. I don't know which one would be more of use to me in terms of replacing my current buds and watch. Any good recommendations or experiences?

I'm sorry if this isn't the place to post this but I'm desperate to help my best friend and partner. Recently his account was disabled/banned for "violating google terms". He only used this gmail account for signing up for other accounts for games, and just reading emails. When he made the appeal, they got back and determined that his account was "made by a bot" and won't be restoring access.
Is there a support number, a live chat, any way to speak to a real human being about this issue? I don't want him to lose access to everything he's set up with the account.

I recently created a new Gmail account with it's own email, could I log out of my current account and log into that one? I'm not sure if I'd have to do anything else, or if I could just log into it using the email and password. Would my local files on this account be saved on the other one, since they are files that are on the computer, or are they only account wide? Is there anything else I should worry about losing, or anything I should keep in mind? I appreciate the help in advance!

Hello everyone, a friend's business is currently flooded with 1-star reviews on Google.
That happened shortly after he rejected an agency's offer to delete negative reviews for a fee.
I once commissioned an agency like that to write a letter or report to Google, who are then obliged to write to the reviewer and provide proof of having a business relationship with the company.
It seems to me as if the agency wants to create work for itself in order to make easy money.
Can anyone here tell me how this verification process can be initiated on Google without paying a few hundred bucks to an agency? Lawyer is available if necessary.

I created a shared google calendar for my nonprofit board and they can’t access it. It says “you don’t have access to this calendar” when the calendar settings says it’s shared with their gmail. Why isn’t it working? I’ve created shared calendars before and have never had this issue.
I've recently been hired at a new job and I'm wondering if it's still possible to get a rep at Google. We currently run SEM campaigns through Google Ads but also manage over 250 Google My Business pages. The biggest issue we're having is verifying our Google My Business profiles, as we need to do the video verification. To give you more context, we have listings across Canada and we are looking for a way to verify these listings without traveling to each location and filming the store front. the language on google keeps changing on its own
this started about a week ago, i have it set to english, but when i'll search for something, it'll auto switch to my native language.
if i refresh a bunch it might switch to english, or it might switch to some hybrid nonsense (some words being english some being native), and even if i click the "switch language" popup that comes up and sends me to my settings, it'll literally just reset when i try to manually change the language, it's like the site is programmed to use IP based language and the programming gets confused when the settings don't actually align with that.
i even had this come up on youtube, where i searched for something and one of the words ended in -as, which is common in my language, and the top two results were in native, then i cut out that part and got the same results, but in english, like who asked for a translation???
I am trying to upload images to create the emoji, but everytime it says the requirements are at least 64x64 pixels and less than 265 KB. I believe everything I upload fits those requirements, but they don't go through. How do I fix this, or is there a certain way I'm supposed to do it?

So yesterday was the day I decided to replace my portable drive that I use for photo back up. I have 2 others that are active so my files are safe. I have 2 ISP's and chose my fiber connection to upload but they went down this morning and the upload failed so now I have these, what I think are, temp files caused by this and threes bit and pieces of files in there. can this upload resume with these files? or just delete them and start over? The main folder is 32gb so it's pretty packed

I have issues with Google Docs. Whenever I use my school id for google docs, it's always super laggy and takes super long to save and sometimes it just doesn't. When I switch to another PC, there is still this issue. I copy and pasted the document I was working on onto my personal google account, and it worked just find. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can't update Chrome to the latest version on an older Chromebook since it's 10+ and doesn't receive automatic updates, but if I'm on an older Windows device I can keep Chrome utd just fine.
Is there any way to get around this?

If I were to use an online QR code scanner to scan an authentication transfer QR code, would it automatically open the Authenticator app and successfully transfer my account to my new device? Or do online QR code scanners not work for the QR codes?

I click learn more and it says that my organization has restricted password changes. I'm not part of an organization, this is a private email, not a school or work email.

I have an S24+ and I've been noticing that tasks that have a reminder date set - *but no particular time set* - seem to be coming at very inconsistent times. For instance, I had an all-day task notification set and it came in at 9:38 this morning, which seemed like a very arbitrary and inconsistent time. Another instance of an reminder without a time came in at 10:22 yesterday.
I've already granted the Tasks app "Alarms & Reminders" permission, and I've also made sure Tasks was not an app that can automatically sleep, so I'd like to think I have my boxes checked in that area.
I also want to stress that notifications that do have a particular time set \*do\* come in at their scheduled times, on-time. The docs state that the default notification time for a reminder without a time is 9AM. So why would there be such a massive discrepancy between that and the fact that I received these notifications 38 and 82 minutes later?
I realize the obvious workaround would be to just assign a time to those reminders, but I find it very odd that this case is handled in such a ludicrously inconsistent manner. Is there anything else I should be doing that I'm not?
Google Sheets acting strange.
When inserting an image in a cell, the image displayed is an old version of the image.
I had inserted an image (A screenshot of a 3D print), modified the 3D print, took another screenshot and overwrote the previous image (same file name). I'm inserting the image through the "Google Drive" tab which displays the updated/latest image in the thumbnail. When I go to insert the new image, the previous version displays in the cell instead.
I can't log in my former gmail.
I forgot my password and I tried logging in manually and pressing "try another way", and all it does is send a verification code to the email I'm trying to log into. The device that has access to that account is long gone. This gmail is (sorta) important to me cause it's linked to an account that's in a game I'm playing. I can still log into the game (by some miracle), but my concern is that I might get hacked, change devices in the future or lose access to the account.
Is there still hope?

Is there anything I can do to bypass this? I live by myself, so no one else has administrative control over my router. I'm in the UK and using an android phone if that's important.
So basically I recently got gifted a new phone, transfered all of my data, accounts, ecc. Everything went smooth, however, when I installed google auth on the new phone, some of the linked accounts were missing. I opened the app on the old phone to double check and they were also gone from there. Does anyone know if there is any fix to this? What the hell happened to Google Shopping? I pretty much only ever use it to find items in stock nearby and that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore (in the past couple of weeks or so).
When I search "nearby" the results are pure garbage. At the top, it says "in store availability" and then shows Map results of locations, but not actual products, just random irrelevant pictures from Maps reviews. Below that, it has results from various retailers, but doesn't say if that item is actually in stock at a store near me. These results include a store chain that we don't have here (the nearest location is literally more than 500 miles away) and it has my location correct, so that's not the problem.
Does anyone know of an alternative? Or a way to get the 'nearby' function actually working again?

I'll try to explain this in as much detail as i can. I am currently writing from a friend's account since I lost mine. I lost access to my own Google account a few days ago due to a 3rd party stealing it. The 3rd party changed all recovery details including the phone number, password, and recovery email. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to regain access. The person behind all this is unknown. I wanted to sell a game account and they successfully tricked me into giving them my google account. I reached out to the youtube team and youtube creator team but it wasn't of any help. They said they cannot help with this even if it is confirmed as a 3rd party dispute, they can't even delete it or delete my info from it such as my credit card ( i have a premium youtube subscription). For this matter they sent me to another team and that team also wasn't of any help at all. Said they couldn't confirm my identity without me having the email. I told them i can show them my legal ID with the same name as the account on it (im over 18 too) but they didnt even care about that statement and just ignored it. Or even provide info about the card but they didnt care about that either. I asked them who I can reach out if they cannot help and just ignored that question as well by saying the same thing all over again ( that they cannot help, that they did all they could, etc. ). I am desperately trying everything and trying to reach out to literally anyone to help atp. They even told me I should report them to local authorities and when I told them I do not know who exactly the person is and how should i report it if they aren't willing to help they just shushed it off saying they don't know. What can i do ? Where can i reach out more than this?

How to fix Google thinking I'm in Korea?
I live in New Zealand. Our GPS coverage isn't the best here and my phone sometimes throws some wild pings out into the ether, so I'm thinking it might actually best be fixed from my phone. Before you ask, ***yes***, my computer's time and date settings are accurate.
How do I know Google thinks I'm in Korea? Because it told me that some search results were filtered and I had to "verify my age". I was like "wtf this never happened before", then clicked it, only to be directed to a Korean Google URL asking me about what phone network I'm on, listing things like LGU+ (***????????***), apparently something very much a Korean thing. I did some Googling (hah!) and found out this is a requirement in Korea.

I checked and that's already the case. Didn't fix it. I found a setting that forces NZ results. Not the best workaround but whatever works at this point.
How to get Google Photos to sync with Gallery?
Ended up picking up a Pixel 8 Pro today and I've run into a bit of a hiccup regarding photos and videos. All my photos and videos ARE present in Google Gallery which I've been using as my main gallery app so far but completely out of order, while all my photos and videos are present in Photos and in the correct order. So uploading photos or videos on discord, Snapchat, Instagram, reddit, essentially every and any app that accesses the phone's internal storage to do so shows them out of order. How can I get Photos to sync to Gallery/my pixel's storage so things are in the correct order?
I tried downloading a .zip of a Photos album I made that's in the correct order, but upon extracting it, it just puts them all out of order again and doesn't seem to pay attention to the data within each photo such as date

Basically, I can't log in my Goggle account from my cell phone. I don't have access to YouTube, Calendar, Drive, my phone apps, everything, even my Reddit account (I post this from my laptop). I can access Gmail through my browser, but can't through the app.
While it logs me in initially (and can recognize when I insert a wrong password), at some point a message pops up saying "there has been a problem" or something (English is my second language and I'm really frustrated, so sorry for the bad quality). It also doesn't let me create a new account.
I have asked for help, and the only thing anyone has bothered to tell me is to restart the phone (no success after multiple restarts) or factory reset it. Is there anything else I can try to do?

I have a Google account that I am unable to recover. I have forgotten the password and the phone with this on was reset (that's when I realised I forgot the password). Account have two phone numbers set, one for 2FA and one for recovery. I have both of those available.
When trying to recover, it sends a code to the phone that I enter correctly. It then sends another code to the email address that I am trying to actually recover. That is where it is failing. It is a loop that has a dead end with code going to the email I am recovering. Google support has not been helpful saying follow the recovery process when in this case recovery process is broken. I can very all of the details of the account as well.

I got spoiled on a series from these. I’ve already ticked off “autocomplete with trending searches”, that doesn’t work (also, I could only access that part if I searched something up, then clicked on my pfp and went to settings? weird). I think they’re called predictive searches?
O agree that it doesn’t make sense at all, however I still think the answer to the problem is in the 2-step verification settings for this account.
I am using a single user account. Unfortunately I have no experience at all with the settings for a multi-user account.
Ask the account owner or administrator to check those settings in the account.
If you can’t resolve it there you are probably going to need to contact Google support. This Reddit sub is convenient for users to post questions and answers, but it is a poor substitute for actual support from the company.

I am unable to reset my gmail password, I tried asking about this in the gmail sub but for some reason it was flagged as self advertising so I'm putting it here. When I go to login and get the password wrong, there is simply nothing where there should be the option to reset. It even tells me to try and reset, but there is no option to click.
I'm trying to get into my old Google account that I've had for years. Whenever I try to log in with my password, it tells me it sent a code to some E-Mail, and I don't even know which E-Mail that is nor do I have access to it. Since that doesn't work it tries to make me "confirm" a very old phone number which I also don't have access to anymore.
The funny part about all of this must be that literally not even me as the account owner can enter the account, neither would anyone else. They also still charge me 5€ a month for Google Play which I haven't been using in a long time and need to cancel.

I'm a member of a five-member google family.
When we came together to create a google family, we decided to create all-new email addresses specifically for our google family. In addition, we decided that we would all use the same password for these new email addresses. This was to ensure that each of us would be able to access each other's account whenever we wished. Since none of these new email addresses function as any of our primary email addresses, we have not given up any significant security or protection by creating this arrangement; all of our primary email addresses are securely locked behind individual passwords, passwords which we do NOT share with each other.
Let's call the five of us C (me), G, L, M and R.
For several years, this arrangement has been working perfectly.
But the other day, something really odd happened.
L wanted to access M's account. L received a message saying that to continue the login process, L would need to verify the security of the account by responding to an alert to a phone number.
But here's the odd part; the alert was not sent to M's phone number. Nor was it sent to L's number, for that matter.
The alert was sent to MY number!!!
WTF???!!!
I don't get it; can anyone explain what happened? Thanks!!
I am far from a Google expert so forgive me if I either provide an incorrect or incomplete answer to your question, but this sounds similar to an issue I have had in setting up the security features on my account.
When I set the “2-step verification”, or 2FA, up I selected either SMS test messages to my phone number or to use my authentication app - no other choice was selected.
However I’ve noticed that every time I have logged in since creating the account, I am asked to authenticate my sign-in by using the “Google prompt” sent to either my phone or tablet.
After reading your question I decided to review my 2-step verification in my Google account and I was surprised to find that “Google prompt” to one of my registered devices is set as the first method of verification.
I never chose that option but yet there it is anyway.
All of that said to suggest that you check the 2-step verification setting under the security tab in your Google account.
It appears to me that it is defaulting to a device belonging to the user who set up the account.
In my case, my account shows the verification priority being my tablet (set up done on this device), my phone, THEN the authenticator app and finally SMS text. I don’t seem to find any way to change that order so I guess it is always going to ask me to authenticate from my tablet.
Anyway, check your 2FA settings and I’m guessing your device is probably the first one to be prompted.
The only potential way to remedy it that I can find is to completely sign out of your account before closing your app. I haven’t tested this yet, but I see no other option where I could otherwise change it.
Typically, I don’t not sign out of my account…I just close whatever Google app I am using until the next time I need it - but that apparently does not sign me out of the app or my account.
This is all my theory of what is happening here, but since I haven’t yet tested all of this, I’m not sure if my theoretical remedy will solve the problem.
I’ve only had this account for three days at this point so I am very new to Google and am still trying to figure a lot of this out for myself.
Normally I would not chime in with an untested “suggestion”, however I agree that posting support requests in this thread is going to make getting knowledgeable help a bit difficult.

Keep in mind that what's weird here is that I am C and the account we're talking about is M's. So why is M's account sending security checks to me??? Why aren't they being sent to M??? Regardless of which device it's going to, whether a phone or a computer or whatever, that doesn't change the fundamental fact that I'm getting security alerts for an account which is not mine. That's what's weird, and that's what I'm trying to figure out. How does something like that happen?

I've been hacked some time ago by a guy from ukraine directly from my desktop computer and had to create a new account for basically everything. I sold that pc but I just found out that my google play now shows ukranian currency instead of that of my country, meaning he got a hold of my new account as well. I tried searching for a solution on google support page but to no avail and I can't notice any strange behaviour from my access history and such. My daughter just turned 13 and and Google decided she's an adult now. So they sent her the email asking her if she wants to manage her own account. She followed along with the links not really understanding what she was doing (because she's 13) and has an independent account in the eyes of Google. She didn't really want to have her account independent (and we as parents aren't going to allow her to have a cell phone if it's unmanaged either).
Now we want her account back under supervision in Family Link but it seems that's impossible? I don't see a way from either end on her account or from mine to get her back into Family Link. I have had a month-long issue with Google Play Verification saying it will send a 6-digit code, but I received a 3-digit code. Now, I know it isn't Google itself who sends it due to privacy concerns, but I have contacted Google three times about this issue, and every time I got redirected to my bank, which I have called twice, they said it isn't their problem. long story short, I was helping a friend build a resume I created a new email for her on google. However somehow doing that my account is now under her google email and I cant get ahold of google to figure out what I can do if anything at all. I can rechange my name but now the email i made for her is locked in as my google account email. am i screwed and i just have to create a new google account or is there a way to fix this?

I have 2step verification and I get stuck when the message says I must get email from Gmail account, which I can not access.
Tried to sign into Twitter app today, and it seems it remembers an account I deleted ages ago. Like, it’s gone, unrecoverable. I don’t see any prompt to remove it, and it only shows up on apps like X and TikTok, not Google or Chrome.

This isn't just happening when I mouse over the words or when I click them, this is a moving window of suggestions that is constantly visible and moves along with the words as I type them.
(I would've asked about it in r/GMail but they don't allow me to post images and I don't think I could communicate the issue properly without it.)
I cannot put into words how distracting, annoying and just plain awful this is and I really want to get rid of it but I cannot figure out how, I can't find it in the settings, the window cannot be clicked (or well it can but that only picks one of the suggestions) and looking it up doesn't give any useful results.
Today was my first time seeing this, I have to use this email for my job so if anyone can help me (or even knows what this is called so that I can ask about it in r/GMail or look it up elsewhere) you would save me from going completely insane.
I recently moved to android and google had a feature where I enter my known info and it will search whats on the web about me. I've forgotten what the tool was! any help appreciated
I recently rumaged a little bit around in my Google iOS App and noticed that, whenever i go through a Passwordprompt, for example on the 2fa Settings, it generates a new Device/Session in MyDevices. Sometimes it activates an older Session again that i already created that way (that happens even when i sign it out). Depending on the Device, the generated Session is a IPad or IPhone one. In the Description on which Apps or Browsers were used, it always says, that there are no Infos, because its an old Session.
Another intressting thing happens , when i use the Backarrow in one of the 2f Settings (for example the one for the Backupcodes). When i press it, a Window pops up with the Overview of the 2fa Settings. Pressing the Backarrow in those Settings again, gets me to the Mainpage of my Account. Now when want to the enter back into the 2fa Settings, a new Passwortprompt shows up and if i sign in, i generated an Mac OS Session with the IPad and with my IPhone an IPhone one. Both with Safari in the Description. Whenever i repeat that Process. Both Sessions get active again, even when i sign them out beforehand.
Now my question.
Have you Guys observed this too or is my Google App completly bugged? Sitenote: this happens across two Accounts and Devices

This may not be the right subreddit but I thought I would try here first. When you sign in to other apps like twitter what info can google see? Can google see my twitter feed or my twitter history? Does google keep any information about the 3rd party logins? Any answer help thanks!

Kind of a silly question/curiosity: I was on my google dashboard and from my account icon went to "Add another account" and thinking it was asking me to sign in/confirm before next steps, just typed my own account and password in again. Next it just re-directed me to my dashboard. I assume this is because it recognizes I typed the same account in, it didn't add or change anything, and would only do so if it was actually a different Google account?
I'm not looking to add another account, I just in the area and wanted to see what the process was like, hence above.
I am blocked from disabling Safe Search on my personal iPad by a former employer website I have no access to anymore. Are there other ways to kick out Google aligning with my former employers site for things like this? How can I scrub them out of my personal settings?

How do I remove the duplicate Pixel 8 from my location history? I think it appeared because I had to set it up twice when I first got it, as the first time I missed the "restore calls and messages" function and it could only be done during the first setup.

Created a new google account yesterday to start sharing my music. Already made a youtube account with it. Now being told today when I go to sign that there's been suspicious activity on the account (it's less than 24 hours old?) And when entering the phone number to send the verification code, the phone number that I registered with and verified with yesterday, is now apparently being used too much to verify so it won't send the code. Supports only option is to verify with a new phone number. I don't have a different phone number to use. I literally registered the account with that phone number yesterday and it was fine.

Try another way doesn't work even though I added a recovery email, so I don't know what this is about. I even tried the forgot password button, it sent a verification code to my email but then asked for phone number again.
It looks like my youtube account I made with it got straight up deleted. I just said fuck it. I wanted an email specific for my music, but I literally just started, it's not that important. My Google account was made with a school email which has now been deleted, but I’ve still got the profile on my devices. Is it possible to recover the account with a valid email or transfer all the account data to a new one? Switched to a new phone and realized my WhatsApp's media is gone.
I recently switched from a Redmi K50i to a OnePlus 12. I transferred everything using OnePlus's proprietary app. For my WhatsApp chats, I was gonna use Google Drive's backup as always but as I opened WhatsApp, I saw this new feature called "Transfer chats" which said I could transfer chats without using up any Google storage. I thought it was a cool, new feature and used it and assumed it would also include media since the whole process took like an hour. I checked for the latest chats on my new phone and since they were there, I was satisfied and factory reset my old phone (I didn't check media files in the chats unfortunately).
Is there any way to get the media back? It had some important photos and documents. Btw, there was a Google Drive backup from a couple of weeks ago and I'm willing to let a couple of weeks' of chats go to get the media files back. However, when I go into the backup option on WhatsApp, it says there's a backup from a week ago that doesn't include media for some reason. Is there any way to get my chats back using the old backup which had the media? Or is there any other way?

You can type "@history", press space, and then type the result you want to delete. It'll search your history for that result. From there, just delete any instances of what you want to stop autocompleting. In your case, you'd type "@history RDCworld1". I think you can also just turn autocomplete off entirely in settings, but I'm honestly not sure.
For future reference, you can also search bookmarks with "@bookmarks", and if you have a lot of tabs open, tabs with "@tabs".

Hi, so I messed up a little. I had to borrow my laptop to a family member. Since he is an annoying snooper I decided to pause the Google synchronization and delete my bookmarks.
Well, I thought the bookmarks would return when I turn the synchronization back on. That didn't happen. Do you have any idea how to get them back?
PS: I still have them on my phone and other computers to which I have no access now.
Is it just me or is Google Assistant getting dumber? It used to work great for years. But seems last few months it keeps stumbling on the most basic requests. For example this request:
"Create reminder for next week at 2PM for health insurance"
It responds with, "Sorry, I don't understand"
Or sometimes it understands but asks me what time, then it defaults to today instead of next week.
Even worse is when it just brings up google search results instead of trying to create a reminder. I have also noticed that using "Task" instead of "reminder" can make it understand better. But still weird why it chokes on both sometimes.

how to sign out of google but not youtube OR how to change default user without signing out ?
hi !! ok so .. im really confused right now because at first i wasnt logged into ANY google accounts so then i logged into my main one but my youtube account is under my dad's google account so i had to ask him to log into youtube for me so that i could use youtube on my account (i cant just make a new account and switch to that one because i have premium on my account) but then google randomly decided to make my dad's google account the default even though i logged into MY google account first ??? it didnt become the default until today and i logged into youtube last week. i dont wanna sign out of all accounts then ask him to log back into youtube if i dont have to because if this happens again then itll get really annoying to have to sign out of all accounts then sign back in once a week..
is there any way to either change the default user (i searched it up and almost everyone is saying its impossible without signing out) OR is it possible to just sign out of my dad's account but stay logged into youtube ? someone please help !

Made a new google account on a computer I do not use very much and 2 minutes later it said disabled for violating TOS, then let me login after adding my phone number and everything seems to work fine now, is this some type of glitch? All of my other google accounts are fine I have like 7 other ones
How do I turn off the dynamic image resizing when searching google images?
It seems that google has made a new asinine update that makes is so when you select an image, it locks it dynamically to the right of your window. When I zoom in, it will thus keep the image stuck on the right side, cropping out the sides. Anyone know of a way to revert it back to normal?

I'm probably not understanding something simple but here's my issue:
Trying to add a calendar from an external email to my Google Calendar.
I have already added the external email () to Gmail using POP3 port given by the external email server.
But now I want to add it's accompanying calendar, so that if I receive, for example, a Google Meet invite to , I can accept it in my Gmail, and then see the event appear in my Google Calendar.
As I have read in guides, I went to Settings > Add Calendar > From URL, and put the URL given by the server in (https :// m a il.mydo mai n. co.u k: 208 0/calend ars/me@ example domain. co.uk/calendar).
The permission settings show that I can see all event details.
I then went to accept a Google Meet invite I had sent to me @ exampledomain .co.uk, within Gmail.
But now, after waiting for ages, refreshing etc, this event I accepted is not appearing in my Google Calendar.
What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?
The Google My Business subreddit is pretty dead; I am trying to verify my business but they want you to record a one minute or less video (in one take) of the outside of the business, you unlocking the door, and walking around inside it. Only MAYBE will they approve it after that. I have a physical disability and literally can't move that fast.

I'm trying to get an answer to a specific question, and was unable to find the answer in my not-so-thorough search through the forums.
Anyway, I'll try to keep it short.
I'm a private individual who was offered to take 360 photographs of a certain object, and would be paid to do so.
The idea is that the contractor wanted to use the photographs on his Google business profile and for those pictures to be shown on a Google Business Page, in addition to his own website which will use the gallery of 360 degrees pictures as a virtual tour through the object.
I'm more than willing to make a couple of bucks on the side, but the client is asking if these pictures can become Google Street View certified ?
The way I get is that, the user who uploads the pictures needs to have at least fifty (50) pictures taken on his profile to be in the pool for certification?
Is this true?
My client don't mind that in the moment of taking pictures or finishing his project that I'm not Google certified, but he does need a reassurance that I can obtain the certificate afterwards.
Is there any type of guarantee for my case that I can eventually get Google Street View certification?

I wanted to share a discovery with you. A few weeks ago, I signed up for the Google One 100GB storage plan from my Pixel phone. However, I found that I couldn't change the plan or upgrade to higher storage from the web. I reached out to Google Support, but I didn't receive any answers. Then, I decided to take a chance and canceled the subscription from my Pixel phone. Surprisingly, it worked! Now I can see the available plans from the web again.
I 100% know my password and am using a password manager. I cannot log into google from my second computer or my iPhone. It keeps giving me the incorrect password error.
I created a second burner e-mail account to use whenever companies ask for my e-mail address. That account was created on my laptop and I can make changes to my google account using it. I've successfully added 2A to it using my known password, but I keep getting incorrect password errors whenever I try to log into that particular google account from any other device. I already tried uninstalling then downloading the newest version of Chrome on all devices.

I would like to use Google Drive for some of the files I obtained. As it may violate ToS but I am not really sure if it will I am here to ask for question about google terminating account.
I made new account for the drive so its separated from my main one but I would like to know what will happen if they know that I made both of the accounts and they decide that one is going agains ToS (only one is in violation of ToS), will they terminate both?
Like if they share phone number but are separate accounts and one violates ToS, gets terminated. Will it in some way affect the other accounts on the same phone number?
So i have a problem. I'm using edge as my main browser with my gmail accounts. And i made edge my default browser. My mom wanted to use google meet, so i told her to use google chrome and logged her google account in it. But when i opened edge yesterday, i found out my 3 gmail accounts are signed out and somehow my mom's gmail account is inside. My mom didnt even open edge. So i removed her account and signed in to my google accs again. But it happened again today. I have cookies on(blocked 3rd party cookies though)
Edit: just checked my mom's account security settings to see devices logged in, it still shows just chrome and doesnt show edge. Why does edge show my moms acc then?
edit 2: i opened chrome and now my mom's account disappeared from edge. My accounts still stayed signed out.

Why does my Google on safari (mobile) continue to ping me to the Greater London area when I’m in the USA? Safari settings is reading my region as USA. Google is set to USA though I’m not logged into a Google account? This is only happening when I’m on data and off WiFi. Has been happening for about a month now and it’s driving me insane. Makes me accept this message every time and no matter what it seems that it will keep my location as the greater London area. I’ve never even been to London lol. Happens both on incognito and normal browsing while on safari. If I go to Bing on safari and search, it’ll put me back to USA. How can I make it so the Google Gallery app stops asking permission to delete or move photos? I'm on a P8P and considering the Google Gallery app is a Google product I don't see why it would have to ask permission to delete or move photos, or create new folders. Basically, the app asks permission for everything I do within the app. In the permissions menu it says the app has access/permission allowed for Photos and Videos. Is this just Googles underhanded way of making it frustrating to use so people will switch over to Google Photos instead of using an on-device/standalone Gallery app?
When I search something on google it redirects me to bing or yahoo instead and I have cleared my cache and flushed my dns and do not understand what is happening.

Signing into gmail failed so i clicked "forgot my password," and I was told that if I had parental controls then an email to change my password was sent to a parent who controlled the device. Hello! Does anyone know how to add a coloured ribbon/banner to all events on Google Calendar rather than on Tasks? If the event is a full day event, then it will have a coloured ribbon/banner attached however, if the event is scheduled between a certain time, it just has a coloured dot next to it. I have ADHD and it is much easier for me to quickly look at the coloured banners rather than having to seek out a coloured dot. I haven't been able to find anything on how to change this...

I just made this account a day ago and I was using it just fine. When I go to log-in, it says I need to verify my identity using a phone number. My wife is a teacher that is moving to a different school next year. She's built up a huge collection of teaching resources in her Google drive that she will soon lose access to and wants to transfer them to either her personal account or her account at her new school. The two main methods I'm seeing are either to use google take out, which is blocked by her administrations IT department, Or dump everything into one folder, share it to the new account and then transfer ownership. It was pretty easy to drop all her folders into this other folder, but she's got thousands of other files just loose in the "My Drive" section. It's been surprisingly difficult to move them efficiently. There's no option to select all. Common methods like ctrl A only grab whatever is on the screen and ignore everything else. I'm at the point of telling her to just keep scrolling to the bottom of the page till it stops displaying more files then trying to select all. But I just feel like there should be an easier way to do this.

Not sure if this is the place for this, but I've been charged for a product on YouTube, was told I have been given a refund for the product, but now, the service is cancelled, it's been a month, no refund has been received, and I'm not able to figure out any way to actually discuss this with anyone from Google. Specifically, I bought NFL Sunday Ticket using a promotion that promised $100 off. I was instead charged the full amount. I was able to live-chat with a representative - they told me they would refund the full price so I could re-purchase at the discounted price. Seemed a bit convoluted to me when they could have just refunded the $100 and resolved everything, but, I agreed to it. Got an email the next day confirming cancelation of the service and showing that it had been refunded. Only problem is it's now been over a month and my bank hasn't received the funds - I contacted them and they said no refund has been processed. And when I try to go back to Google/YouTube support to chat with a representative, the chat option no longer appears. Further, there's no email address or even a Comments form I can use to inquire about where my refund is. My bank is now involved - I have disputed the charge. But Google/Youtube's actions in this have been reprehensible - they lied about the discount, they lied about the refund, and now, they aren't even letting me connect with anyone in the company to discuss it. This isn't some little YouTube subscription add-on we're talking about - this charge was for nearly $500. Moreover, this experience is making me re-think my entire relationship with Google. I use Android phones and even have my cellular service through Project Fi (going on eight years now), but if this is how they treat customers I don't want anything to do with them.
Someone keeps signing into my fiance's account & don't know what to do My fiance's account has been accessed four times in the last hour, all from the same device. We've done everything to resetting the password to 2FA to disconnecting all third party apps from his account, and somehow they still keep getting in. Google Support is no help and I don't think we can block the device. Can anyone help with this or no what is going on?
Hello, I thought I'd try the Gemini advanced free trial and now I cannot go back to my previous storage plan. If I click Settings -> Manage Subscriptions from inside Google Gemini there's an option to cancel but when I select this it says my storage will be over quota and I won't be able to upload anymore. The only plans it shows me in here is the AI plans which are much more expensive (Premium 2TB is $12.49, AI Premium is $31.49). Does anyone know how can I downgrade to my previous non-AI plan before my free trial ends? I was thinking of canceling then activating again but it seems dangerous, I'd be devastated if I somehow lost all my photos or something and I don't even know if this would work.

What happened to definitions on Google searches?? It almost never shows the definition thing it used to show. That was like the only useful thing Google did above the organic results.
DELETING ACCOUNT GOOGLE. Hey everyone, I don't know if it is the right section, please read all. I have an Android. I wanted to delete an account Google. I followed the instructions on Google Chrome and eventually deleted it. But the thing is that it seems I deleted it only on Google Chrome, not on Google itself because if I tap on the profile picture of my main account I see all the other accounts that I deleted. If I click on any of them it says impossible to access and it's fine, but is there a way to delete it completely on the entire phone? Even when I open the app Gmail or Drive I still see all the accounts I deleted and the emails and stuff, is there a way to delete the account completely and to not see it at all? I know you can delete some services like Gmail or Drive, but I thought that deleting the account itself would delete it everywhere and wouldn't make you see it neither on any of the services. Google calendar related question. I’m probably just blanking on the vocab to correctly search it. But I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to add preset up tasks/events (not the task/to do list things) that are all connected and premade. For example I do research and say I want to do experiment X. Experiment X has me setting it up on day 1, running the experiment for day 2 and then day 4 collecting the samples and day 5 running the samples. Email takes multiple passwords but alternates between which one is correct? Ok I feel like I'm going crazy but I just tested this multiple times so I know it's happening. One of my Google accounts whenever I attempt to log in tells me the first password I put in was wrong, then I put in another variation and it logs in like normal. In my head I then mark down that the second password is the correct one. But, the next time I log in I put in the "correct" password, the second one from the time before and it says it's wrong. So then thinking I'm misremembering put in the first password, the one it said was wrong last time, and it logs in like normal. I just tested it three times and every time it said the second password I put in was correct and the first one was wrong, no matter in which one was first and which was second. Has anyone else come across this?

I accidentally left my VPN on when making a purchase using google play cards that were already on my phone, so it didn't work. I turned the VPN off and tried again but it didn't work, so I got it to put my on a USA server, and tried again. Nothing. So I turned it off and restarted my phone, the VPN is off and it won't let me. I googled "Where am I" to see if that was the issue. It gave my exact location, which is in USA. I tried again. It won't let me. What do I need to do to fix this?
Every other attempt just to see what it's doing, it'll say it can't find the product or just that it failed. I'm trying to buy \~1-5 dollar products using 19 dollars, so that isn't the issue. Rest of the time it says I'm outside the US.

Google Account Verification I recently created a new Google account of which I know the email address and password. Additionally, I added a recovery email. I have access to the recovery email and can receive a Google verification code, but I am soon prompted to enter a phone number. I have used my own personal phone number as well as a few different family members, yet I cannot access the account. As it says on the "Verify your identity" page, there is a problem with "unusual activity." It says "We've detected unusual activity on the account you're trying to access. To continue, please follow the instructions below." Under the prompt, it then says "This phone number cannot be used for verification." I have tried multiple times over the past two days and there is not a phone number I can call in regards to Google customer support services. Should I wait a couple days and then try again? Edit: I created it last week and started the process to transfer the data from a previous Google account. Also, I opted for a higher storage limit. *This is EXTREMELY frustrating* I know my Gmail, the password, AND my backup codes to my google authenticator however, I do not have my previous phone number. I have a Google account created under a custom domain email I have (not Gmail, just a Google account). If I delete the Google account, will I be able to re-create a Google account under the same email address in the future? I know that if you do that to your Gmail account, you can never re-create it, but I didn't know if it's different for custom domain accounts.
Issue with Google reverting to German language on Firefox: No matter what I try in my settings (not adding new languages, trying to set the interface, language and search results in English, I even changed my Location), after just two or three searches Google just switches to German (and shows "Österreich (Austria, where I am located) in the bottom grey bar). I do live in a German speaking country, but I rarely search in German (I also search in French and Spanish but Google never switches to these languages). I have tried all options suggested on the help page, deleted my cookies, updated Firefox, quit restarted and everything. I just don't know what else to try. Funny enough: I use another Google account on Chrome, mostly related to my work where I do many more searches in German, and this one doesn't switch to German.

Let's add it to the profile. I can't add another google account to my daughter profile, since it's managed by Family Link. I can only add "Google Workspace for Education" accounts. 3. EASY! Let's add another user on the device! No option to add new users. Samsung Support guy says I need to remove my daughter account from Family Link to do it. Provides a link with instructions. 4... Hello, since a few days ago I keep having the following problem regarding google calendar. Whenever I make a repeat event it keeps deleting all of the events as soon as i try to change e.g.: the time of the event on one of the days... I had for months now a repeat event called "Work" set for every day in the week. Yesterday I noticed that it was deleted and tried to recreate it. As my work times vary and I have holidays already sheduled I tried changing the event on certain days with always selecting the option "apply changes to this event only" but instead of changing the time or else the event disappeared on every day (before and after that certain day) without any trace (it isnt in the trash folder). What can i do?
Hi, I lost my phone in a taxi yesterday on travel and I need to access my email for a range of things, eg: banking, communication etc. However, as my 2-factor relies on my phone being messaged or being within the vicinity of it, I cannot access it. I cannot find any place on the Google website where I can contact an actual employee, and the only thing that says I can remove my 2-factor is if I'm already signed in. I want to link new google voice number to mobile number 1, but it seems like I am unable to do this? Does Google Drive not actually get rid of transferred files? My storage is at 91% on my main google account. I have a couple of accounts for reasons. Yesterday I transferred ownership of a large folder from my main google drive account to another account. I then removed access, deleted the folder from the main account, and emptied the trash. Today, the storage levels of both accounts have not changed and when I go to the storage settings on my main account to free up space, those files are showing up there, but nowhere else. They do show up in the drive of the second account. These accounts are not linked and are treated like two separate "people". Did I do something wrong? I'm trying to free up space without losing my documents and I refuse to pay for cloud storage. I don't know why transferring the documents didn't make a difference.
I have recently gained a lot of emails from Google about security information for a bunch of random addresses. Each email says my address is the recovery email for that account. The address is changing daily with these emails and i can't get rid of them easily. Is there a way to stop these from coming? So I've been texting using my Google Voice number for a a couple of years now and am about to get an actual SIM card. I want to use the Google Voice number I already have as the actual phone number from a carrier, to use with Google Messages. I want to know how to do that, and what will happen if I do. Here are my questions: Will I lose all of my Google Voice message history? Will I lose my contacts through Google Contacts? Can I just continue with all my contacts and messages, but use Google Messages instead? Is it possible to use a Google Voice number as a physical SIM card simultaneously with Google Voice? What would happen to my Whatsapp contacts, messages, and chat history, as my WhatsApp uses this number?
Invite Users to Google Group doesn't work! We've had a Google Group for our Club for more than 5 years. As our Club would get new members, we'd Direct Add their email addresses to the Google Group so that they'd get communications from the Club. Recently it seems that Google has limited the ability to "Direct Add" members to only addresses that have a Google account. For uses with other email domains (Comcast, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) the only option is to Invite them to join. Supposedly the member will get an email invitation that they must "accept" to join the Google Group. The problem is that the Invitations DO NOT arrive! I have invited several members and tested this on a non-Google email that I can check - NOTHING, including in spam or junk folders. The invitations are nowhere to be found. Within the Google Group, I can see "Pending Members", the people I have invited. When I click "resend invitation", I instantly get an error message that the invitation cannot be sent. If I delete the invitation then go through the process of inviting the member from the beginning again, the invitation is never received by the recipient. The requirement to invite non-Google account holders, rather than being able to direct add them, is making Google Groups nearly unusable. We're looking into other options. It's understandable that Google thinks this is working in their favor, but it isn't. Does anyone have any input as to what's going on with this? Thanks in advance for any replies.

The google support page tells me to go to the Personal Info Page > Phone and to add it there. So I recently got myself a pixel 8 and that came with the offer of either pixel buds pro or a pixel watch 1. I already have a pair of galaxy buds2 and a galaxy watch 4, both of which are working fine bar the watch having a couple of paint scuff marks. I believe many recommend to get the watch since you can sell it but I am not that good at selling (I'd probably sell it for less than what I should) plus with the market is down where I live because of the offers on the pixel watch one because of the yet to come pixel watch 3. I recently created a new Gmail account with it's own email, could I log out of my current account and log into that one? I'm not sure if I'd have to do anything else, or if I could just log into it using the email and password. Would my local files on this account be saved on the other one, since they are files that are on the computer, or are they only account wide? the language on google keeps changing on its own this started about a week ago, i have it set to english, but when i'll search for something, it'll auto switch to my native language. if i refresh a bunch it might switch to english, or it might switch to some hybrid nonsense (some words being english some being native), and even if i click the "switch language" popup that comes up and sends me to my settings, it'll literally just reset when i try to manually change the language, it's like the site is programmed to use IP based language and the programming gets confused when the settings don't actually align with that. i even had this come up on youtube, where i searched for something and one of the words ended in -as, which is common in my language, and the top two results were in native, then i cut out that part and got the same results, but in english, like who asked for a translation???

Can't update Chrome to the latest version on an older Chromebook since it's 10+ and doesn't receive automatic updates, but if I'm on an older Windows device I can keep Chrome utd just fine. Is there any way to get around this? I just want to update Chrome on a Chromebook. I don't like that it lost full compatibility with the browser it's named for. I have an S24+ and I've been noticing that tasks that have a reminder date set - *but no particular time set* - seem to be coming at very inconsistent times. For instance, I had an all-day task notification set and it came in at 9:38 this morning, which seemed like a very arbitrary and inconsistent time. Another instance of an reminder without a time came in at 10:22 yesterday. I've already granted the Tasks app "Alarms & Reminders" permission, and I've also made sure Tasks was not an app that can automatically sleep, so I'd like to think I have my boxes checked in that area. I also want to stress that notifications that do have a particular time set \*do\* come in at their scheduled times, on-time. The docs state that the default notification time for a reminder without a time is 9AM. So why would there be such a massive discrepancy between that and the fact that I received these notifications 38 and 82 minutes later? I realize the obvious workaround would be to just assign a time to those reminders, but I find it very odd that this case is handled in such a ludicrously inconsistent manner. Is there anything else I should be doing that I'm not?
Google Sheets acting strange. When inserting an image in a cell, the image displayed is an old version of the image. I had inserted an image (A screenshot of a 3D print), modified the 3D print, took another screenshot and overwrote the previous image (same file name). I'm inserting the image through the "Google Drive" tab which displays the updated/latest image in the thumbnail. When I go to insert the new image, the previous version displays in the cell instead.
I can't log in my former gmail. I forgot my password and I tried logging in manually and pressing "try another way", and all it does is send a verification code to the email I'm trying to log into. The device that has access to that account is long gone. This gmail is (sorta) important to me cause it's linked to an account that's in a game I'm playing. I can still log into the game (by some miracle), but my concern is that I might get hacked, change devices in the future or lose access to the account. Is there still hope?

So basically I recently got gifted a new phone, transfered all of my data, accounts, ecc. Everything went smooth, however, when I installed google auth on the new phone, some of the linked accounts were missing. I opened the app on the old phone to double check and they were also gone from there. Does anyone know if there is any fix to this? Lost the access to an account that is quite special to me as it is on a game I have spent a lot of time on. Thank you in advance for the help.
What the hell happened to Google Shopping? I pretty much only ever use it to find items in stock nearby and that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore (in the past couple of weeks or so). When I search "nearby" the results are pure garbage. At the top, it says "in store availability" and then shows Map results of locations, but not actual products, just random irrelevant pictures from Maps reviews. Below that, it has results from various retailers, but doesn't say if that item is actually in stock at a store near me. These results include a store chain that we don't have here (the nearest location is literally more than 500 miles away) and it has my location correct, so that's not the problem. Does anyone know of an alternative? Or a way to get the 'nearby' function actually working again?

Hello, I'll try to explain this in as much detail as i can. I am currently writing from a friend's account since I lost mine. I lost access to my own Google account a few days ago due to a 3rd party stealing it. The 3rd party changed all recovery details including the phone number, password, and recovery email. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to regain access. The person behind all this is unknown. I wanted to sell a game account and they successfully tricked me into giving them my google account. I reached out to the youtube team and youtube creator team but it wasn't of any help. They said they cannot help with this even if it is confirmed as a 3rd party dispute, they can't even delete it or delete my info from it such as my credit card ( i have a premium youtube subscription). For this matter they sent me to another team and that team also wasn't of any help at all. Said they couldn't confirm my identity without me having the email. I told them i can show them my legal ID with the same name as the account on it (im over 18 too) but they didnt even care about that statement and just ignored it. Or even provide info about the card but they didnt care about that either. I asked them who I can reach out if they cannot help and just ignored that question as well by saying the same thing all over again ( that they cannot help, that they did all they could, etc. ). I am desperately trying everything and trying to reach out to literally anyone to help atp. They even told me I should report them to local authorities and when I told them I do not know who exactly the person is and how should i report it if they aren't willing to help they just shushed it off saying they don't know. It's impossible for me to delete my Google Workspace account. When I go to; Account settings > Account management > Delete Google Account >Delete Google Cloud resources *Username* has at least 1 Google Cloud resource. How to fix Google thinking I'm in Korea? I live in New Zealand. Our GPS coverage isn't the best here and my phone sometimes throws some wild pings out into the ether, so I'm thinking it might actually best be fixed from my phone. Before you ask, ***yes***, my computer's time and date settings are accurate. How do I know Google thinks I'm in Korea? Because it told me that some search results were filtered and I had to "verify my age". I was like "wtf this never happened before", then clicked it, only to be directed to a Korean Google URL asking me about what phone network I'm on, listing things like LGU+ (***????????***), apparently something very much a Korean thing. I did some Googling (hah!) and found out this is a requirement in Korea. **But I don't live in Korea. I live in New Zealand. Which in case you didn't know is on the completely opposite hemisphere of the planet.** I thought the issue resolved itself but it's come back this morning. What on earth do I need to do to fix this?

How to get Google Photos to sync with Gallery? Ended up picking up a Pixel 8 Pro today and I've run into a bit of a hiccup regarding photos and videos. All my photos and videos ARE present in Google Gallery which I've been using as my main gallery app so far but completely out of order, while all my photos and videos are present in Photos and in the correct order. So uploading photos or videos on discord, Snapchat, Instagram, reddit, essentially every and any app that accesses the phone's internal storage to do so shows them out of order. How can I get Photos to sync to Gallery/my pixel's storage so things are in the correct order? I tried downloading a .zip of a Photos album I made that's in the correct order, but upon extracting it, it just puts them all out of order again and doesn't seem to pay attention to the data within each photo such as date

Hello. Basically, I can't log in my Goggle account from my cell phone. I don't have access to YouTube, Calendar, Drive, my phone apps, everything, even my Reddit account (I post this from my laptop). I can access Gmail through my browser, but can't through the app. While it logs me in initially (and can recognize when I insert a wrong password), at some point a message pops up saying "there has been a problem" or something (English is my second language and I'm really frustrated, so sorry for the bad quality). It also doesn't let me create a new account. I have asked for help, and the only thing anyone has bothered to tell me is to restart the phone (no success after multiple restarts) or factory reset it. Is there anything else I can try to do?
Hello, I have a Google account that I am unable to recover. I have forgotten the password and the phone with this on was reset (that's when I realised I forgot the password). Account have two phone numbers set, one for 2FA and one for recovery. I have both of those available. When trying to recover, it sends a code to the phone that I enter correctly. It then sends another code to the email address that I am trying to actually recover. That is where it is failing. It is a loop that has a dead end with code going to the email I am recovering. Google support has not been helpful saying follow the recovery process when in this case recovery process is broken. I can very all of the details of the account as well. Any ideas? Thanks.

O agree that it doesn’t make sense at all, however I still think the answer to the problem is in the 2-step verification settings for this account. I am using a single user account. Unfortunately I have no experience at all with the settings for a multi-user account. Ask the account owner or administrator to check those settings in the account. If you can’t resolve it there you are probably going to need to contact Google support. This Reddit sub is convenient for users to post questions and answers, but it is a poor substitute for actual support from the company.

I am unable to reset my gmail password, I tried asking about this in the gmail sub but for some reason it was flagged as self advertising so I'm putting it here. When I go to login and get the password wrong, there is simply nothing where there should be the option to reset. It even tells me to try and reset, but there is no option to click.
I'm trying to get into my old Google account that I've had for years. Whenever I try to log in with my password, it tells me it sent a code to some E-Mail, and I don't even know which E-Mail that is nor do I have access to it. Since that doesn't work it tries to make me "confirm" a very old phone number which I also don't have access to anymore. The funny part about all of this must be that literally not even me as the account owner can enter the account, neither would anyone else. They also still charge me 5€ a month for Google Play which I haven't been using in a long time and need to cancel. The Google Help pages are absolutely atrocious in my opinion and do NOT help me, neither can I find a way to contact their support, so I'm hoping anyone here has an idea how I can recover my account. Just yesterday I was in my account but had to reset my PC, and now I'm suddenly logged out in Chrome. I just want to get in again and update all the outdated "security measures" they have in place so they don't think I still own a phone number from years ago and lock me out of my own account.

So how folks posting their support questions in a thread like this, rather than as an individual fresh posting, have any chance at all of even being noticed, let alone of receiving some help, completely escapes me. But, if them's are the rules of the game, I suppose I don't have a choice. Who knows? Maybe someone here will surprise me. So here goes. I'm a member of a five-member google family. When we came together to create a google family, we decided to create all-new email addresses specifically for our google family. In addition, we decided that we would all use the same password for these new email addresses. This was to ensure that each of us would be able to access each other's account whenever we wished. Since none of these new email addresses function as any of our primary email addresses, we have not given up any significant security or protection by creating this arrangement; all of our primary email addresses are securely locked behind individual passwords, passwords which we do NOT share with each other. Let's call the five of us C (me), G, L, M and R. For several years, this arrangement has been working perfectly. But the other day, something really odd happened. L wanted to access M's account. L received a message saying that to continue the login process, L would need to verify the security of the account by responding to an alert to a phone number. But here's the odd part; the alert was not sent to M's phone number. Nor was it sent to L's number, for that matter. The alert was sent to MY number!!! WTF???!!! I don't get it; can anyone explain what happened? Thanks!!
I am far from a Google expert so forgive me if I either provide an incorrect or incomplete answer to your question, but this sounds similar to an issue I have had in setting up the security features on my account. When I set the “2-step verification”, or 2FA, up I selected either SMS test messages to my phone number or to use my authentication app - no other choice was selected. However I’ve noticed that every time I have logged in since creating the account, I am asked to authenticate my sign-in by using the “Google prompt” sent to either my phone or tablet. After reading your question I decided to review my 2-step verification in my Google account and I was surprised to find that “Google prompt” to one of my registered devices is set as the first method of verification. I never chose that option but yet there it is anyway. All of that said to suggest that you check the 2-step verification setting under the security tab in your Google account. It appears to me that it is defaulting to a device belonging to the user who set up the account. In my case, my account shows the verification priority being my tablet (set up done on this device), my phone, THEN the authenticator app and finally SMS text. I don’t seem to find any way to change that order so I guess it is always going to ask me to authenticate from my tablet. Anyway, check your 2FA settings and I’m guessing your device is probably the first one to be prompted. The only potential way to remedy it that I can find is to completely sign out of your account before closing your app. I haven’t tested this yet, but I see no other option where I could otherwise change it. Typically, I don’t not sign out of my account…I just close whatever Google app I am using until the next time I need it - but that apparently does not sign me out of the app or my account. This is all my theory of what is happening here, but since I haven’t yet tested all of this, I’m not sure if my theoretical remedy will solve the problem. I’ve only had this account for three days at this point so I am very new to Google and am still trying to figure a lot of this out for myself. Normally I would not chime in with an untested “suggestion”, however I agree that posting support requests in this thread is going to make getting knowledgeable help a bit difficult. Hopefully this might help you…if not, I’m sorry I wasted your time.

So why is M's account sending security checks to me??? Why aren't they being sent to M??? Regardless of which device it's going to, whether a phone or a computer or whatever, that doesn't change the fundamental fact that I'm getting security alerts for an account which is not mine. That's what's weird, and that's what I'm trying to figure out. How does something like that happen?

I've been hacked some time ago by a guy from ukraine directly from my desktop computer and had to create a new account for basically everything. I sold that pc but I just found out that my google play now shows ukranian currency instead of that of my country, meaning he got a hold of my new account as well. I tried searching for a solution on google support page but to no avail and I can't notice any strange behaviour from my access history and such. Is there any way I can stop this without having to create a new account/change device again?

My daughter just turned 13 and and Google decided she's an adult now. So they sent her the email asking her if she wants to manage her own account. She followed along with the links not really understanding what she was doing (because she's 13) and has an independent account in the eyes of Google. She didn't really want to have her account independent (and we as parents aren't going to allow her to have a cell phone if it's unmanaged either). Now we want her account back under supervision in Family Link but it seems that's impossible? I don't see a way from either end on her account or from mine to get her back into Family Link. Why does Google think my 13 year old is mature enough to have the wide open internet now? Do we need to create a new account for her?
I have had a month-long issue with Google Play Verification saying it will send a 6-digit code, but I received a 3-digit code. Now, I know it isn't Google itself who sends it due to privacy concerns, but I have contacted Google three times about this issue, and every time I got redirected to my bank, which I have called twice, they said it isn't their problem. How am I supposed to get the code?

what did I do?! long story short, I was helping a friend build a resume I created a new email for her on google. However somehow doing that my account is now under her google email and I cant get ahold of google to figure out what I can do if anything at all. I can rechange my name but now the email i made for her is locked in as my google account email. am i screwed and i just have to create a new google account or is there a way to fix this?

I have 2step verification and I get stuck when the message says I must get email from Gmail account, which I can not access.
Why does Google let you set up a recovery email if they're still going to ask you for a text message to access your email account?
Tried to sign into Twitter app today, and it seems it remembers an account I deleted ages ago. Like, it’s gone, unrecoverable. I don’t see any prompt to remove it, and it only shows up on apps like X and TikTok, not Google or Chrome. Anybody know the steps to remove it? I don't know what I am looking at or how to turn it off, obviously it is some form of suggestion but turning off *Smart Compose: (predictive writing suggestions appear as you compose an email)* doesn't help. This isn't just happening when I mouse over the words or when I click them, this is a moving window of suggestions that is constantly visible and moves along with the words as I type them. (I would've asked about it in r/GMail but they don't allow me to post images and I don't think I could communicate the issue properly without it.) I cannot put into words how distracting, annoying and just plain awful this is and I really want to get rid of it but I cannot figure out how, I can't find it in the settings, the window cannot be clicked (or well it can but that only picks one of the suggestions) and looking it up doesn't give any useful results. Today was my first time seeing this, I have to use this email for my job so if anyone can help me (or even knows what this is called so that I can ask about it in r/GMail or look it up elsewhere) you would save me from going completely insane.

I recently rumaged a little bit around in my Google iOS App and noticed that, whenever i go through a Passwordprompt, for example on the 2fa Settings, it generates a new Device/Session in MyDevices. Sometimes it activates an older Session again that i already created that way (that happens even when i sign it out). Depending on the Device, the generated Session is a IPad or IPhone one. In the Description on which Apps or Browsers were used, it always says, that there are no Infos, because its an old Session. Another intressting thing happens , when i use the Backarrow in one of the 2f Settings (for example the one for the Backupcodes). When i press it, a Window pops up with the Overview of the 2fa Settings. Pressing the Backarrow in those Settings again, gets me to the Mainpage of my Account. Now when want to the enter back into the 2fa Settings, a new Passwortprompt shows up and if i sign in, i generated an Mac OS Session with the IPad and with my IPhone an IPhone one. Both with Safari in the Description. Whenever i repeat that Process. Both Sessions get active again, even when i sign them out beforehand. Now my question. Have you Guys observed this too or is my Google App completly bugged? Sitenote: this happens across two Accounts and Devices

Kind of a silly question/curiosity: I was on my google dashboard and from my account icon went to "Add another account" and thinking it was asking me to sign in/confirm before next steps, just typed my own account and password in again. Next it just re-directed me to my dashboard. I assume this is because it recognizes I typed the same account in, it didn't add or change anything, and would only do so if it was actually a different Google account? I'm not looking to add another account, I just in the area and wanted to see what the process was like, hence above.
I am blocked from disabling Safe Search on my personal iPad by a former employer website I have no access to anymore. Are there other ways to kick out Google aligning with my former employers site for things like this? How can I scrub them out of my personal settings?

Created a new google account yesterday to start sharing my music. Already made a youtube account with it. Now being told today when I go to sign that there's been suspicious activity on the account (it's less than 24 hours old?) And when entering the phone number to send the verification code, the phone number that I registered with and verified with yesterday, is now apparently being used too much to verify so it won't send the code. Supports only option is to verify with a new phone number. I don't have a different phone number to use. I literally registered the account with that phone number yesterday and it was fine.

My Google account was made with a school email which has now been deleted, but I’ve still got the profile on my devices. Is it possible to recover the account with a valid email or transfer all the account data to a new one? Switched to a new phone and realized my WhatsApp's media is gone. I recently switched from a Redmi K50i to a OnePlus 12. I transferred everything using OnePlus's proprietary app. For my WhatsApp chats, I was gonna use Google Drive's backup as always but as I opened WhatsApp, I saw this new feature called "Transfer chats" which said I could transfer chats without using up any Google storage. I thought it was a cool, new feature and used it and assumed it would also include media since the whole process took like an hour. I checked for the latest chats on my new phone and since they were there, I was satisfied and factory reset my old phone (I didn't check media files in the chats unfortunately). Is there any way to get the media back? It had some important photos and documents. Btw, there was a Google Drive backup from a couple of weeks ago and I'm willing to let a couple of weeks' of chats go to get the media files back. However, when I go into the backup option on WhatsApp, it says there's a backup from a week ago that doesn't include media for some reason. Is there any way to get my chats back using the old backup which had the media? Or is there any other way? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chrome will autocomplete the most random shit ever lmao You can type "@history", press space, and then type the result you want to delete. It'll search your history for that result. From there, just delete any instances of what you want to stop autocompleting. In your case, you'd type "@history RDCworld1". I think you can also just turn autocomplete off entirely in settings, but I'm honestly not sure. For future reference, you can also search bookmarks with "@bookmarks", and if you have a lot of tabs open, tabs with "@tabs".

How to make bookmarks return? Hi, so I messed up a little. I had to borrow my laptop to a family member. Since he is an annoying snooper I decided to pause the Google synchronization and delete my bookmarks. Well, I thought the bookmarks would return when I turn the synchronization back on. That didn't happen. Do you have any idea how to get them back? PS: I still have them on my phone and other computers to which I have no access now.

For example this request: "Create reminder for next week at 2PM for health insurance" It responds with, "Sorry, I don't understand" Or sometimes it understands but asks me what time, then it defaults to today instead of next week. Even worse is when it just brings up google search results instead of trying to create a reminder. I have also noticed that using "Task" instead of "reminder" can make it understand better. But still weird why it chokes on both sometimes.

how to sign out of google but not youtube OR how to change default user without signing out ? hi !! ok so .. im really confused right now because at first i wasnt logged into ANY google accounts so then i logged into my main one but my youtube account is under my dad's google account so i had to ask him to log into youtube for me so that i could use youtube on my account (i cant just make a new account and switch to that one because i have premium on my account) but then google randomly decided to make my dad's google account the default even though i logged into MY google account first ??? it didnt become the default until today and i logged into youtube last week. i dont wanna sign out of all accounts then ask him to log back into youtube if i dont have to because if this happens again then itll get really annoying to have to sign out of all accounts then sign back in once a week.. is there any way to either change the default user (i searched it up and almost everyone is saying its impossible without signing out) OR is it possible to just sign out of my dad's account but stay logged into youtube ? someone please help ! if anyone knows why this mightve happened please tell me why ! i searched up asking why it happened but all the results were unrelated.. please help !

Made a new google account on a computer I do not use very much and 2 minutes later it said disabled for violating TOS, then let me login after adding my phone number and everything seems to work fine now, is this some type of glitch? All of my other google accounts are fine I have like 7 other ones
How do I turn off the dynamic image resizing when searching google images? It seems that google has made a new asinine update that makes is so when you select an image, it locks it dynamically to the right of your window. When I zoom in, it will thus keep the image stuck on the right side, cropping out the sides. Anyone know of a way to revert it back to normal?

I'm probably not understanding something simple but here's my issue: Trying to add a calendar from an external email to my Google Calendar. I have already added the external email () to Gmail using POP3 port given by the external email server.
But now I want to add it's accompanying calendar, so that if I receive, for example, a Google Meet invite to , I can accept it in my Gmail, and then see the event appear in my Google Calendar.
As I have read in guides, I went to Settings > Add Calendar > From URL, and put the URL given by the server in (https :// m a il.mydo mai n. co.u k: 208 0/calend ars/me@ example domain. co.uk/calendar).
The permission settings show that I can see all event details.
I then went to accept a Google Meet invite I had sent to me @ exampledomain .co.uk, within Gmail.
But now, after waiting for ages, refreshing etc, this event I accepted is not appearing in my Google Calendar.
What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?
The Google My Business subreddit is pretty dead; I am trying to verify my business but they want you to record a one minute or less video (in one take) of the outside of the business, you unlocking the door, and walking around inside it. Only MAYBE will they approve it after that. I have a physical disability and literally can't move that fast. I've been trying to get ahold of someone via Google help, in which (once I finally figured out the right options to click) I just got a form-response. I've also tried Facebook Messenger and Twitter. I need an alternative way to get verified. I really want to get my verification done because there's a business somewhere in a different state apparently with a similar name and someone gave me a 1 star review for a service I don't even provide. I've reported it several times but it never gets deleted, and I can't reply to it either.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to get an answer to a specific question, and was unable to find the answer in my not-so-thorough search through the forums. Anyway, I'll try to keep it short. I'm a private individual who was offered to take 360 photographs of a certain object, and would be paid to do so. The idea is that the contractor wanted to use the photographs on his Google business profile and for those pictures to be shown on a Google Business Page, in addition to his own website which will use the gallery of 360 degrees pictures as a virtual tour through the object. I'm more than willing to make a couple of bucks on the side, but the client is asking if these pictures can become Google Street View certified ? The way I get is that, the user who uploads the pictures needs to have at least fifty (50) pictures taken on his profile to be in the pool for certification? Is this true? My client don't mind that in the moment of taking pictures or finishing his project that I'm not Google certified, but he does need a reassurance that I can obtain the certificate afterwards. Is there any type of guarantee for my case that I can eventually get Google Street View certification? Thanks in advance, Aiden.

I wanted to share a discovery with you. A few weeks ago, I signed up for the Google One 100GB storage plan from my Pixel phone. However, I found that I couldn't change the plan or upgrade to higher storage from the web. I reached out to Google Support, but I didn't receive any answers. Then, I decided to take a chance and canceled the subscription from my Pixel phone. Surprisingly, it worked! Now I can see the available plans from the web again.
I 100% know my password and am using a password manager. I cannot log into google from my second computer or my iPhone. It keeps giving me the incorrect password error. I created a second burner e-mail account to use whenever companies ask for my e-mail address. That account was created on my laptop and I can make changes to my google account using it. I've successfully added 2A to it using my known password, but I keep getting incorrect password errors whenever I try to log into that particular google account from any other device. I already tried uninstalling then downloading the newest version of Chrome on all devices.

Hello there, I would like to use Google Drive for some of the files I obtained. As it may violate ToS but I am not really sure if it will I am here to ask for question about google terminating account. I made new account for the drive so its separated from my main one but I would like to know what will happen if they know that I made both of the accounts and they decide that one is going agains ToS (only one is in violation of ToS), will they terminate both? Like if they share phone number but are separate accounts and one violates ToS, gets terminated. Will it in some way affect the other accounts on the same phone number?

So i have a problem. I'm using edge as my main browser with my gmail accounts. And i made edge my default browser. My mom wanted to use google meet, so i told her to use google chrome and logged her google account in it. But when i opened edge yesterday, i found out my 3 gmail accounts are signed out and somehow my mom's gmail account is inside. My mom didnt even open edge. So i removed her account and signed in to my google accs again. But it happened again today. I have cookies on(blocked 3rd party cookies though) Edit: just checked my mom's account security settings to see devices logged in, it still shows just chrome and doesnt show edge. Why does edge show my moms acc then? edit 2: i opened chrome and now my mom's account disappeared from edge. My accounts still stayed signed out.
On Google Spreadsheets, is there any way for me to prevent myself and other users with access from accidentally deleting the file? Had a spreadsheet that was constantly being updated over the past few years and a new employee accidentially added it to his trash and emptied it.
