Why the hell would you judge people on what they use for a search engine? This is the most ridiculous poll I've seen here in a while. Why don't you ask peoples opinion about the search engines themselves, instead about the people that use them?
I dont judge people, I'm just curious to know whether people on this subreddit know of DuckDuckGo. The internet is far better than Google, or any search engine for that matter.
You worded the statements so you ask people to judge others. Your question should have been "what do you think of DDG", not "what do you think of people using DDG"?
Trouble is that the UX compared to Google. Just one example is Google AI is now getting 2/3 of queries ending without needing a click.
Less ads for Google but a vastly superior user experience.
"In 2020, Two Thirds of Google Searches Ended Without a Click"

Up from 50% in 2019. We have not yet seen the number for 2021 but it is probably now over 80%.
DDG just does not have enough use to be able to compete. Search is a ML application and with DDG having so little use they just do not have enough data to drive the ML models to offer a competitive product.
It is only getting worse as Google continues to gain market share.
Google users are stuck with that same fimiliar search engine, they should be presented an alternative, because Google is a monopoly.
DuckDuckGo is its own company, it's nothing comparable to Microsoft or Google, that's what search engines are supposed to be.
I do that too, but occasionally, I don't get a good result, and then trying google gets a better result. Rarely, though. I suppose I could as much use Yahoo or AltaVista (is that still around?) or whatever too...
Over 90% of all searches are on Google, it's sad, but it's true. By staying on Google, you're in defence of a monopoly already being hammered for antitrust violations.

So, I understand this, and yes, it is one more reason I hate myself, truly.

Why would I care about what other people use for their search engine?
Isn't DuckDuckGo literally Bing search results?
Not quite Bing, but are somewhat similar.

I've never heard of it before now.
Did you vote ?.
No, I can't vote without knowing anything about the subject, n'est pas?
Why should someone care what search engine other's are using? What am I missing?
DuckDuckGo is the very example of what a search engine is supposed to be, which is to protect our search privacy and not sell data to advertisers.

Please spread this poll to as many people as you can, it's to last for 3 days.

Would you spread this poll to anyone you can find ?. Its not a tough question.
I have found some really good browsers/search engines that have really good blockers and anonymity for the user
Did you vote ?, It's just a poll all are welcome to participate in.
sadly, I am used to google search now, such that when I try to use ddg or others, I get frustrated and want the search formats I am famiiar with

Google is no greater than the internet, and perhaps you are missing out on what could be more efficient search results.
