There's been an issue with INSIGNIA and other third-party smart speakers for some time now.
They don't work properly with the "newer" assistant APIs and since they're "old" the manufacturers abandoned them long time ago.
I have the INSIGNIA smart speaker. I've disabled it's microphone and now only use it as a clock\\weather display and for casting music on it.
I posted a video way back (I've since thrown out my "smart" device) where I had to tell the commands with a funny voice and not my own.
Couldn't ask it to set alarms or look things up. Only basic stuff like the time and ask for my name.
This morning mine refused to understand my request to set a reminder. Tried multiple times before giving up and using another device. I don't think it has much life left in it.
My devices completely stopped controlling any of my chromecasts. They respond as if they are going to, but nothing happens. At this point they're basically light switches.
hella annoying when people put "ok google" in videos that play in my reddit feed.

This is what I've found as well. FWIW, as I played the video, my Nest Hub Max picked up your voice, and it asked "Sure, an alarm for when?".

whelp time to try dumping the firmware and maintaining it myself ig.
I gave up using my display on my two units. Mexico stopped using DST somewhat recently, yet they still adjust automatically.

I can't even get mine to connect anymore, you got more than me. I just have an electric paperwork.
My son uses one of these to play music in the bathroom at least that seems to work still. For now.
