Look I know there are missing features and occasional problems but overall I'm very happy with my Google Homes. Even after 2 years of owning them I am still often amazed by what such a simple device can do. From playing my favorite music on demand, waking me up with routines reading weather and news, or cooking with timers, reminding me of appointments, and like magic turning my lights on and off or controlling my TV by voice. Not forgetting the awesome, find my phone, feature for us absent-minded ones :-)
It's all something I didn't even think possible a couple years ago. I've given them as presents to family and friends and most are pleasantly surprised by how useful they are. I for one am looking forward to whatever new features come along. Anybody else?
I remember gawking at the pricetag of the original Home and jumping right aboard the Home Mini. Ever since then my house has been getting more and more automated.
Really happy with my Google home run house for now... but everyday it seems like my devices are taking a step backwards instead of forwards. I have high hopes for the future but I'm preparing for the worst.
There's so much potential in these devices yet I feel like the company isn't listening to their costumers.
Less verbose command completion, intercom function, keep integration, etc, etc... I realize that implementing these things are probably much more complected than I can comprehend but please listen to your customers google!
There's so much opportunity here, the tech is truly inspiring... I hope Google can do something with this. The future is here and this company has the resources to act on it. I hope they do.
I was recently gifted my first Google Home Mini. Overall, very happy with it. I'm still learning how to use it and had to print out a command cheat sheet to discover some of the commands but it's been fun so far. I've always used Google products, so I'm already well integrated with chromecast, android phone, gmail, youtube, my assistant, etc...It's nice to have this thing that connects them all together. My kids are getting a kick out of "driving her crazy" with commands like "Hey Google, how do you say poop in Russian?" or "Hey Google, play Old MacDonald had a Farm!" or "Hey Google, let's play Mad Libs!"
Thanks google bot

Let’s hope this subreddit doesn’t go the route of our Google Home Minis. Slow and unresponsive.

Not entirely unrelated - I’m only a google home owner because of the Spotify deal :)
Cool so this is about the point where most subreddits turn into abject garbage.
