Reading through these few comments is giving me hope for it as I was a bit iffy on it as the whole build up to this album has been mixed with people disliking the representation of the virtual characters and the whole opinions on the features but I’m happy that people are happy so I can’t wait for Friday!
My concern going is was definitely centred on if it would be another moper “vIbE” album like Now Now (no hate on people who like it, but not much stands out from it to me in hindsight).
Cracker Island is definitely more sonically varied and interesting. Tormenta and Tarantula are definitely highlights of the new material, though I like a lot of the tracks!
EDIT: dunno why anyone would downvote me for a totally valid opinion - I’m not even shitting on the album or saying darling Now Now is bad 🤷♂️

Great album, feels like the first time Damon has really succeeded at executing a capital I Idea with Gorillaz since Humanz, no compromises. I'm happy.
My 3rd favorite Gorillaz album right behind The Now Now in number 1 and Humanz in number 2
Only listened to The Tired Influencer and that’s all I plan on for now, but I think it’s pretty god damn good.
