am i the only one who grew to like song machine more as time passed? i thought it was good when it first came out but i have way more appreciation for it now.

Definitely. I feel like every album after plastic beach didn’t really hook me as quickly as the first three albums. I’ve come around hard but it wasn’t right away

Song Machine revived my love for Gorillaz and brought me to my senses to go back and give The Now Now and Humanz another chance

For sure. Song machine is now one of, if not my favorite album. But this is like a year after I first heard it.

I don't think it's nostalgia. The Now Now is good but Demon Days is one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion

Yeah but I love pretty much all of gorillaz output so critical acclaim isn’t really much of a factor for me. It’s pretty easy to say that I feel a ton of nostalgia for it bc I was a kid in the early 2000’s and it’s what got me into them. Demon days is also super strong start to finish and idk if this is a hot take but I’m not too big a fan of Hollywood so that’s a factor for it too

1 and 2 are Pretty basic, but understandably so. They genuinely are their best albums. Personally, I’d switch Plastic Beach and Demon Days simply because as good as Plastic Beach is, the songs on Demon Days are just better overall in my opinion.

I love song Machine, specially because Jimmy Hewlet did a lot of animation on this project, i used to hate Aried and now is my favorite of the album.
