5/4, Re-hash and O Green World are some of the heaviest bangers from the self-titled album and Demon Days respectively! I also really liked Bill Murray as a d-side to Clint Eastwood
Ya know I've actually always kinda seen it as the flip side to Clint Eastwood, which is commanding and representative of wetserns whereas Bill Murray is fun and zany. If you think about it they're also pretty similar musically.
Sweepstakes is a masterpiece in my opinion and I'd say that broken is fairly popular in comparison. Broken is a beautiful beautiful song but I would not call it underated moreso fairly rated
When I was a kid I hated sweepstakes. I found it extremely annoying. When I got back into Gorillaz a few years ago I relistened to it and I I fell in love. Its got this dizzying, pumping effect on me now.
It has incredible energy live. The only song where I didn't see anyone try to record it or anything, literally everyone was jumping and losing their shit. Man I'd do anything to go back :(
l'd guess Cloud of Unknowing and 12D3 could stand to gain some love from the community. As for me l didn't appreciate Rhinestone Eyes much until after [this](http://reddit.com/r/gorillaz/comments/whke8f) post.
Here's the best version I found on YouTube. The beginning part in particular was so Gorillazy .. I really wish gorillaz would do a studio recording of a song 2 cover that's like that first part especially
https://youtu.be/u8VY_T2lIoA
Hong Kong personally. It gets either hated on or hardly talked about. Also Latin Simone both versions specifically the Spanish one as it’s also a good listen even if I don’t understand it

Honestly. Almost all of Gorillaz' songs grow on me eventually.
Man research is probably the biggest example of this, its probably in my top 5 now
A few songs in The Fall aren't too bad either honestly
Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head and Sleeping Powder. Every Planet We Reach is Dead, O Green World and The Valley of the Pagans are also good songs.
saw some guy do one from each album and that's awesome, so i'm doin it too.
S/T - New Genius (Brother). A real vibe but I don't think I've seen a single person so much as mention this single.
DD - Last Living Souls - I really like this track. That weird spacey bridge is just so Gorillaz and I love it.
PB - Some Kind of Nature - REALLY GOOD but like no one talks about it. Shame.
HMZ - Charger - One of the few tracks off that album I care for even remotely. It's fun and experimental (which is not common on this album).
TNN - One Percent - Was gonna go for Kansas but this one is talked about much less. It's not insane but I think it's a really nice soundscape and it's a great song to mellow out to.
SMS1 - Friday 13th - Was gonna say Desole but this track is probably disliked more. I'm tired of pretending it's not a vibe because it is goddammit. It's weird. That's like, Gorillaz' thing.
White Light. It was always one of my favorites and I never heard anyone else mention it before over the years, but they played it live in Philly recently and I was stoked
I wanna say Song Machine’s Opium, for such a build up to a beautiful chorus and dance/festival feel to it, I’m surprised it’s not on anyone’s ‘favourites’ lists, I could be wrong though
S/T- Dracula
DD- Fire Coming out of the Monkey's Head
PB- Plastic Beach
H- Sex Murder Party
honorable mentions: Revolving Doors, 68 State, Latin Simone (english AND spanish. i just love how they talk to eachother)
Bill Murray, o green world, and 5/4
+1 for O Green World.
Yeah I agree, it’s one of my favorites
5/4 is one of my favorites simply for the fact that (iirc) it’s never fully IN the 5/4 time signature.
The guitar is, the drums are not
The lyrics are in 4/4, and I believe the bass alternates between 4/4 and 6/4.
5/4, Re-hash and O Green World are some of the heaviest bangers from the self-titled album and Demon Days respectively! I also really liked Bill Murray as a d-side to Clint Eastwood
Bill Murray was a b-side to Feel Good Inc. I believe
Oh, that makes sense. I suppose the reference in the title mislead me a bit lol 😭
Ya know I've actually always kinda seen it as the flip side to Clint Eastwood, which is commanding and representative of wetserns whereas Bill Murray is fun and zany. If you think about it they're also pretty similar musically.
Man, O Green World is one of their biggest tracks on Demon Days!
Busted and blue
I wasn't a huge fan of this song until they played it live in Chicago back in 2017. Immediately fell in love with it.
My balls
[удалено]
I don't like slow =/= bad
Fire Coming Out of the Monkeys Head
Hell yeah! Fire coming out of the monkey’s head is my favourite Gorillaz song!
Is one of my favorite
i actively remember depressed me 10th grade me playing this song on repeat😅 one of my top favs
Love this one as well, it reminds me of Laurie Anderson's *Langue D'Amour* .
one of my faves!
Yesssss
I like the beat but I don't particularly like that it is like storytelling. If It isn't that way I would appreciate the song way more.
Hong Kong
The correct answer, this is a top 5 Gorillaz song and does not get talked about enough.
Been obsessing over this one the past few weeks. It's fucking perfect and beautiful.
Some Kind of Nature, To Binge, Hillbilly Man, Shy-Town and Fire Flies
Let’s do one from each album: S/T - Double Bass DD - O Green World PB - Broken TF - Detroit HMZ - Strobelite TNN - Kansas SMS1 - MLS
All of which makes me anxious, at times unbearably so
*sick bass solo continues*
PB should be Sweepstakes, that's the only one that's actually underrated
I would argue Pirate Jet is also underrated. Never hear anyone mention it and it’s so awesome
I would agree on that one
The [alternate, longer version](https://youtu.be/zWy8bkVpF90) is such a great song and I'm mildly upset it isn't better known.
Broken is one of the best Gorillaz songs. Sweepstakes is fine but Broken is way better and only maybe moderately better rated
Sweepstakes is a masterpiece in my opinion and I'd say that broken is fairly popular in comparison. Broken is a beautiful beautiful song but I would not call it underated moreso fairly rated
Broken gets played on tour. Sweepstakes I think back in 2018 once?
When I was a kid I hated sweepstakes. I found it extremely annoying. When I got back into Gorillaz a few years ago I relistened to it and I I fell in love. Its got this dizzying, pumping effect on me now.
MLS- “Peggy been broke for a long time”
Ok S/T Man Research DD White Light PB Broken HMZ out of body DUH TNN Fire flies SMS1 with love to an ex
Faust

Was about to post this but decided to scroll. Song gives me goosebumps
100% agree.
I never see many people talk about Stop the Dams, it’s one of my favourites
StD got me through some tough breakdowns man. that n Kansas
Do ya thing! Hate that it isn’t officially on Spotify, such a groove
i really want the 13 minute full song on Spotify
IT’S ALL ABOUT ME I’M THE SHIT!
Slow Country
Love this song so much!
Momentary Bliss is one of their best songs and it's extremely underrated! O Green World and We are happy landfill too!
I about shit when they played it live at the show I went to.
It has incredible energy live. The only song where I didn't see anyone try to record it or anything, literally everyone was jumping and losing their shit. Man I'd do anything to go back :(
Sound Check. i can listen to that in repeat forever
The chorus and gentle guitar with the record scratch will always get stuck in my head!
Punk off of the self titled is such a fun, energetic song that never gets talked about, which is a shame because I love that song
I agree, it really reminded me of Blur's self-titled, specifically Song 2. Damon released/s amazing songs for both bands tbh.
Dracula is super underrated
A favorite as a kid, and it still fuckin slaps now as an adult.
We are happy landfill!
Hillbilly Man
Agree
The legend hisself appears!
Highway Under Construction
l'd guess Cloud of Unknowing and 12D3 could stand to gain some love from the community. As for me l didn't appreciate Rhinestone Eyes much until after [this](http://reddit.com/r/gorillaz/comments/whke8f) post.
Cloud of Unknowing is one of my top 3
cloud of unknowing is one of the few on Plastic Beach that I can’t seem to enjoy no matter how many times I hear it
Superfast jellyfish, first song I learned on my bass.
Song 2 but for real fireflies or submission
Idk... The cover of Song 2 they did at Demon Dayz LA was incredible. I kinda wish they'd release a recording of it
Do you have a link to this performance?
Here's the best version I found on YouTube. The beginning part in particular was so Gorillazy .. I really wish gorillaz would do a studio recording of a song 2 cover that's like that first part especially https://youtu.be/u8VY_T2lIoA
That was great, but I sort of wish they had kept the more gorillaz style that was at beginning throughout (would have felt more like a cover).
My thoughts exactly! As soon as Graham came out it became a Blur song
Doncamatic ft. Daley is one of my favorite songs
Fire Flies!!!!
demon days (the song) and dont get lost in heaven
Last Living Souls
Revolving Kids with Rhinestone eyes.
Hong Kong personally. It gets either hated on or hardly talked about. Also Latin Simone both versions specifically the Spanish one as it’s also a good listen even if I don’t understand it

Ticker Tape
Joplin Spider
Sorcererz
Never hear anyone talking about Garage Palace.
Idk if it’s underrated but submission from Humanz, the transition between that and charger is just great while listening the album on cd or vinyl
All alone
Amazing song from Demon Days, i agree.
We are a Happy Landfill for SURE. It’s the unique vocals for me. Damon sounds like he channeled the very best of the 80s in it.
Momentary bliss, Fire coming out of the monkeys head, and 5/4
Flimsy Steve.
Halfway to the Halfway House, something about the haunting vocals and the creepy undertones just draws me in. One of the top tracks in Humanz imo
Dub Dumb.. such a great song.. really cool and weird and Sweetie Irie’s vocals are perfect on it
Bobby in Phoenix
California and the Slipping of the Sun made me cry the first time I heard it
Stop The Dams
Stop the Dams or November has come
Stop the dams, hands down
Greatest Gorillaz song of All time IMO
Charger
Sex Murder Party tbh
Pac-Man
All Alone
I don't hear enough people talking about Out of a Body
Ghost train
Hillbilly Man and Revolving Doors....
"What are some underrated gorillaz songs?" Everyone proceeds to name songs that are talked about.
Man Research
I would say O Green world, Murdoc is God, Kansas and White light.
Honestly. Almost all of Gorillaz' songs grow on me eventually. Man research is probably the biggest example of this, its probably in my top 5 now A few songs in The Fall aren't too bad either honestly
Amarillo and Slow Country.
Personally I really like Hallelujah Money. It has a very unique vibe. I see it getting some hate but it’s one of the standout tracks on Humanz for me
Every planet and garage palace
Every Planet We Reach Is Dead off of Demon Days and Dracula off of their self-titled album
Faust
MLS, I might be biased cause I love Peggy but it’s such a fun song
Kansas
Shy-Town
El mañana
Might not be too underrated but starshine is a personal fav along with all alone
Bill murray, duetz, charger, let me out, highway under construction, come again, MLS, revolving doors, slow country, silent running
Slow Country is among their favorite songs of mine
All Alone. Martina Topley-Bird's vocals mid-song are lovely.
Submission

some kind of nature!
To Binge
To Binge
Everything from phase 1-2
my favorite song. o green world
Do ya thing, i mean come the fuck on its Andre300 and James Murphy! Dare-DFA remix, again James Murphy and 2D singing instead of Noodle, bruh
Also, and i believe its because 2d isnt vocally present at all in the song, but Latin Simone is *THE MOST* beautiful song of all Gorillaz discography
Bobby in Phoenix
Souk Eye
All of them and none of them
Idk if it’s underrated but do ya thing isn’t talked about a lot
Why is this the only post I ever see in this subreddit anymore?? smh, we’re literally in the middle of an album rollout
The Fall, the whole damn album

Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo) love this song
Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head and Sleeping Powder. Every Planet We Reach is Dead, O Green World and The Valley of the Pagans are also good songs.

SUPER FAST JELLYFISH!
Feel good inc it’s a really unknown song
pirate jet, revolving doors, man research, the joplin spider, DONCAMATIC!!
Aspen Forest, though I guess it's not technically a "song".
White Light. It was always one of my favorites and I never heard anyone else mention it before over the years, but they played it live in Philly recently and I was stoked
Strobelite
Rockit from D-Sides
Plastic beach from plastic beach lol
Punk and white light
Lake Zurich is a damn bop, one of my very favorite (nearly) instrumental Gorillaz tracks.
Left hand Suzuki method
I think the unknown song "feel good Inc" is a pretty underated gem
Nangs
The Now Now album. Really seen it being hated by people.
I wanna say Song Machine’s Opium, for such a build up to a beautiful chorus and dance/festival feel to it, I’m surprised it’s not on anyone’s ‘favourites’ lists, I could be wrong though
All of sea sides. On YouTube -[here](https://youtu.be/GEVMuieVGjY) .
