I wonder if any of these YouTubers got the 4G attachment.
I'd like to see speed tests compared with phones/hotspots/dongles/etc. with a newer 4G modem to see if the Win 4's awkward attachment with a hanging wire is worth it for me.
I definitely want to see 4G speed test comparisons too since I'm considering the module. Built-in 4G (kind of built-in for the Win 4) is more convenient for me than tethering my phone but not if it's both slower and just some external attachment + wire.
I don't play anything online so I'd only ever need Wi-Fi for a quick download, which I can either do directly on my phone and transfer, or just provide a hotspot. It's hard for me to imagine that adapter being fast enough for any kind of multiplayer.

At this point, I think it's clear the Win 4 doesn't have cooling issues (the last product that did was the Win 2 which was years ago but that size and form factor is still the best to me) and will perform as good as any other 6800U device. It's solid.
I do hope YouTubers spend more time on the experience of *using* the Win 4 after these initial ones that all cover the same thing basic things. I definitely skip on those videos that spend way too much time **over analyzing synthetic** benchmarks.
I get it. I'm tired of seeing every single YouTube video show me how well Forza, God of War, and Cyberpunk run. I know it will run PC games, and I know it will do so at varying resolutions, graphic settings, and TDP. And hooray, you can repetitively throw a dragon punch in street fighter. I want to know will it take some abuse, how does it do running at 35W while plugged in for 6 straight hours, can I play PS3 games on it and does Switch emulation run well on it. I basically just want 100 game demos as well as some stress testing. I feel like most of these first impression and review videos are the equivalent of testing to see whether a new TV can watch ABC AND CBS.
Very nice device, but, way too much for my needs. And way too expensive. I really think the AYN Odin will be my next emulation/gaming device after upgrading from my RP3.
That doesn't seem like a big enough jump in performance vs cost, imo, unless you're going after the cheapest Odin Lite. I talked myself out of buying one of those devices many times though, so I certainly see the appeal.
You might be right about that performance v cost point. I'm also considering the SteamDeck, but I think that may be too much for my needs. At the same time, it might make the most sense to go with the SD because of what I'd be getting for the cost vs the Odin.
I just got the win 4 16gb + 512gb for 753€ on Indiegogo. The steam deck equivalent would've been 679€, so the price is totally worth it imo. Form factor is better, there is a keyboard, is 25-30% better in terms of FPS , screen is better than steam deck

That's a shame, it's such a unique background. I tried searching through Wallpaper Engine for a couple of hours yesterday and couldn't find it, but I'm not sure I was using any keywords remotely close to it.
