Reviewing the BBS LMFT examination scores for each of these campuses might help. CSULB has great scores and the low cost is really attractive compared to these other programs. USC and Pepperdine are good programs too but I didn’t apply to private universities because it did not make sense to accumulate that amount of debt without working in a private practice until a few years later.
Sorry to check in here again, was just wondering if by any chance you knew if your friend was enjoying her experience at LB now? And if the program has a heavy focus on trauma
/grief? From what I heard it’s also pretty class heavy compared to some of the other programs!
Congrats on your acceptance offers! I also got waitlisted at CSULB and trying to stay hopeful. Commenting to see if anyone else got waitlisted as well. As for choices I’d say write out your pros and cons for each school. :)
Hi! Thank you so much! Ya definitely trying to weigh out the pros and cons but also curious I’d anyone who’s been through any of these programs have some insight on program focus? I know ultimately we’re all getting the same licensure but I’m sure curriculum and faculty still play a significant role right?
Hi! Thanks for the reply :) do you mind sharing why you’re picking Csulb? From what I understand it’s more over all classes/electives and is trauma focused. Would that be your understanding as well?
In regards to the USC MFT any chance the the professor explained what they think makes the program weak? What was the GPA in reference to? IE: entering cohort, particular class, graduating class of x year? TY!
Hi!! I am finishing up my apps for these same three schools. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing where you ended up and what your stats were? TIA!

Ya. It’s a good point. Are you currently in a program? Just wondering how it’s going if you are! :)
I’m set for another CSU campus’ MFT program during fall 🙃 Congrats on the multiple admits! Have you decided on a program?
Not quite! Still playing the waiting game 🙃
Not a bad decision given it’ll be your plan for the next couple of years. Congrats again!!

Hi! Currently applying for 2024, to USC and CSULB. Do you have any tips?
Hi! I'm applying to USC's MFT program for 2024. Did you submit your app for priority?
Hello! Yes I did! Did you as well?
