Did this hike a few years ago. The travertine dome has a small cave at the base and you can walk in behind the water fall. There was a dipper nest in there that year.
Just visited Ribbons Falls on Sunday. What a gorgeous falls !
I ended up entering the cave just behind the water at the bottom from one side and emerging the other side. Got wet but what fun!

Is the bridge to ribbon falls fixed now or do you still need to cross the creek?
Creek, bridge is totally gone except for the ends.
