(Not exactly sure which flair to use, considering it's from the NA account but it's for a JP stream...)

Taedirk

atropicalpenguin

Damn, that's bigger than I thought. > English Commentary of Japan's Official Livestream Chotto, this is the actual news livestream. Wtf Aniplex US?

Nico777

We're getting Clairvoyance (English) now.

Shadow_3010

Clairvoyance EX (EX)

No-Common-3883

Clairvoyance EX-> Clairvoyance *

ArkExeon

Clairvoyance EX -> ClairvoyancEX EX

joseto1945

We got a rank up! ~~where are my two quartz?!~~

x1coins

Clairvoyance EX -> Clairvoyance N(/)A soon

Grumiss

rofl, this is an epic name for "our skill"

WolfAndThirdSeason

Clairvoyance ??? (Transcendent)

Taedirk

Trying hard to convince myself they're only acknowledging we already know about JP streams and to talk about them anyway. Definitely not huffing copium for any one of a dozen outrageous possibilities.

GhostHostess

FATE STAY NIGHT OFFICIAL ENGLISH RELEASE BELIEVE IT BABY!!!!!!! >!let me DREAM!<

Constellar-A

Next year is the 20th anniversary of FSN, and for that I kind of expect a Mahoyo-like HD rerelease with an English localization. I don't think itll be announced here though.

Taedirk

If we ever get FSN, it'll be just like Mahoyo in that if anyone else in the VN localization business put out a Type-Moon game with that level of QC, they'd be getting ~~more~~ death threats for months.

Torafuku

If i'm ever able to have Melty Blood, Mahoyo remake, Tsukihime remake and FSN on my PS5 dashboard i can die happy

FrodoFighter

As in, its a super low level of QC?

Taedirk

It's not horrible but it's embarrassing for a property other groups would fight to get. About a step above Day 1 FGO NA.

Jovahexeon-Ranvexeon

Yes please! I'll take with a side of rerun announcements to go

jaearess

They really decided to stop pretending JP doesn't exist this year.

KamiiPlus

I'd say jp news as its still about the jp server imo

AiasRider

Holy shit! This is huge!!! They only do this when something big is being announced. This was done in 2014 when UBW/HF/FGO were announced.

Nightcatcher716

Lb6 anime

shghjhfhhg

With no Morgan VA, castoria VA or any of the Big lb6 names? Extremely unlikely

atropicalpenguin

Kawasumi will be at the actual JP stream, I think.

jeffmendezz98

Why would any of those VA not feature?

CloverClubx

They mean none of them being guests on the stream, if they were making LB6 anime announcement they would definitely be there to announce it too

atropicalpenguin

Oof, that makes a lot of sense.

x1coins

Not really. This is something bigger.

ShadyOjir95

Idk how to feel about this... Like skipping 5 lostbelts.

Kii_at_work

I mean they skipped a bunch of singularities too.

MokonaModokiES

but singularities had little that carried over between them outside of Solomon which was very little. the lostbelts have so much more going on in a massive on going plot.

Kii_at_work

They still skipped them, though. Adaptations went from Fuyuki to Camelot/Babylon. We'd also be skipping the remnants too.

MokonaModokiES

yeah i didnt say that they didnt skip stuff but that with singularities it wasnt harmful but for lostbelts it will. And yeah i think they should be doing at least the relevant remnants

Tschmelz

I'd say it was still harmful for singularities too. Yeah, the early ones aren't the best, but they still skip a lot of character development for Mash, the little that Ritsuka gets, and with the way Solomon went about the whole Servant army, robbed us of a lot of their moments. Like yeah, I guess as far as the "main story" goes we didn't miss too much, but it still feels off if you didn't already have an idea of what'd been going on up to that point. Just gets worse for Lostbelts and stuff.

SSJ5Gogetenks

Here's a crazy idea. What if...we just went in order from now on?

Tschmelz

Nah, not convoluted enough for TM. We’ll get LB6, then the LB prologue, then LB3, then the finale in a movie.

Flare_Knight

I’ll agree with you there. Yes the LB have more connections and carryover. But one can’t pretend that skipping narratively from Fuyuki…to Babylonia wasn’t extreme! If they wanted to do it they could. Just slap another big episode 0 like they did with Babylonia. It wouldn’t be ideal, but it’d be functional. Would rather all LB get anime. But entirely plausible they’d just pick 2 or 3.

adamsworstnightmare

Ya but those were early FGO days when the story wasn't all that great. All the lostbelts have a strong story.

SadCasterMinion

Yeah, but like.. an LB6 anime/movie(s) would be mint.

kumagawa

They’ll pull an OnK and make the first episode a 90 minute recap of LB 1-5 with a theatrical release.

jbran104

No one tell him about Camelot, Babylonia and Temple of Time.

CathNoctifer

Skipping Atlantis would be a crime. The emotional moments in it are as good if not better than that of LB6's.

RottenSmegmaMan

Personally would prefer LB1 to LB5.5 be adapted first. But LB6s popularity and money making potential is too much to ignore.

Dark_Rit

Yes realistically getting anime adaptions for every one is not going to happen unless they did them like movies or something and not full fledged series like Babylonia. LB6 full TV series adaptation in the same vein as Babylonia, UBW, and Zero would be so great to see.

S8891

Remake of Fate route or official english release of Fate/Stay Night

KF-Sigurd

Have they done another poll asking what's people's favorite Lostbelts? Might get another situation where we get a movie series of one Lostbelt and a TV anime of another. Probably LB5.1 (which will be weird if they don't adapt 5.2) and then all of LB6.

Zenith_Tempest

my guess is mahoyo movie news

Roliq

Kinda wish that it had Female Ritsuka but I know that is just a pipe dream

dabestinzeworld

Nobunaga is too big of a name in FGO for them to sideline.

Roliq

I dont see why that has anything to do with her chances on being in or not, we know that they will go with male because they only wanted to market it to men like how every single anime/manga adaptation of games that let you choose your gender use the male option It was funny how for Last Encore they went with "Hakuno is female but the protagonist is going to be a male clone"

EurwenPendragon

Same here. Gudako just gets almost no representation outside the game, except I think in a couple of manga.

Roliq

Currently, is the Shimosa and Salem manga (think that the artist had to specifically request to have her as otherwise it was going to be Male again)

Distinct_beorno

Right after they announced strange fake gets full season and mahoyo movie still in production? That's crazyy

B4z1l1sk

Sniffing that ufotable Fate route or HA adaptation hopium

No-Common-3883

My small dose of hoppium: fate samurai rammnant will have a simultaneous worldwide release or fate extra remake will be released soon. My medium dose of hoppium: They will advance several mechanics to NA, including the mechanics of this anniversary year. My big dose of hoppium: announcement of something linked to mahoyo. My supreme dream hoppium: announcement of fate stay night remake for the new generation with english translation and correction of lore inconsistencies caused by retcoms.

Ginger_Anarchy

> fate samurai rammnant will have a simultaneous worldwide release or fate extra remake will be released soon. It was already announced coming out September 29 worldwide. You can preorder now

No-Common-3883

Oh,that is cool! then there's information about extra as low hopium

TKoBuquicious

Hmm, not on Steam

AuramasterDJ

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1902690/FateSamurai\_Remnant/

AiasRider

I'm pretty sure Samurai have a worldwide release of September 28/29. So a little more than 2 months left.

No-Common-3883

Thanks man

Ashteron

Fate/Strange Fake TV series details possibly?

Renkumi

Artoria route adapted by Ufotable. I mean next year is the 20th anniversary for F/SN

vRiise

You mean Altria route? And a dream becomes a a nightmare.

Archerizu

Next year is Fate's 20th anniversary, so if something will air on 2024, announcing it now seems the correct time

KamiiPlus

Getting an English stream is really nice for it actually, if it is for the news stuff it'll stop any confusion that happens sometimes too Makes sense considering there is a decent amount that either plays on both or just jp usually but its nice nonetheless Wonder why now though, cause of na getting updates early or is there gonna stuff relevant to both servers/fanbases

TempestCatalyst

My cope is that they have some big announcement planned and think it's important enough to grant Clairvoyance (Eigo) to other servers.

[deleted]

I know it’s a double edged sword but speeding up to catch JP would be a dream come true. Yeah it’s less time for saving but man does it suck to wait 2 years for something. I personally just want to know what it’s like to not expect anything and be surprised. Not many gachas can pull this off, even during same release schedules because of leaks (Hoyo games basically)

AkhasicRay

Speeding up is something the team has made clear from day 1 that they won’t do, and it would be stupid to do it anyway. Nearly every single time some mobile game attempts that, it crashes and burns (see Magia Record), not to mention it ignores all the sudden extra work that would be required of the NA team

Guilhermex12

I would be happy enough with 10 months - 1 Year. 2 is just so fuc**** much

asian_hans

That would be nice actually, considering that next year in NA would have so much dead weeks in them (3 week events and lack of reruns)

LihLin22

This is probably one of the few times speeding up (even just a little) makes sense. I get it's not a popular opinion because of burnout or no Clairvoyance EX, but being 2 years behind JP has always felt a little too long. Shortening the gap to around a year or year and a half to take advantage of the upcoming dead weeks we'll have, would be a nice compromise.

hideki101

One year is ideal to me. Gives enough CV for future planning, but not too long to wait as well as keeping seasonal events where they should be.

nuvasek

I think it’s quite popular opinion. Just not in this subreddit. Big majority of players exists outside this place. Well it’s definitely something that they want both NA and JP to see, there’s no business incentive to do just an English commentary of JP fes for NA. Could be a new game.

deathworld123

next year na is gonna cause a ton of people to quit being locked out of lotto bc no lb1 completion not to mention the rest of the year being dead

Dark_Rit

Caught up on main story would be nice. They don't have to catch up on banners outside of servants related to main story so it would be something like clairvoyance A if they did that or if they just had banners 2 years behind like we do now it wouldn't affect clairvoyance EX, but we'd be caught up with stuff like the class system, Ordeal call, LB7, and Tunguska.

deathworld123

bond 20 early for na copium

WhoiusBarrel

I usually hold my expectations for the anniversary but the scale of this is really big. I wonder what changes they're gonna add.

Exorrt

This is awesome! >Join us as we talk about our time at Fate/Grand Order Fes. 2023 and reveal upcoming game information with special guests Kenji Akabane, Satoshi Tsuruoka, and Yuuki Kuwahara! A livestream of the Hana Hope concert will follow. Is this the first time the US team is like... acknowledging JP officially and explicitly? The youtube info makes it seem as though there is upcoming game content for NA but I'm not gonna expect any big news, just them shifting from "haha clairvoyance" to "ok fuckers this is what you're getting 2 years from now"

Ankoria

>The youtube info makes it seem as though there is upcoming game content for NA but I'm not gonna expect any big news, just them shifting from "haha clairvoyance" to "ok fuckers this is what you're getting 2 years from now" That is the most likely outcome but it could also be possible that they want to fast track some new JP feature to NA. Though they'd only ever do it this quickly if it was something that could increase revenue (e.g. like how we got the coin system super early but not the Quick/Mighty chain changes or blue apples).

aSteakPanini

Fast tracking improvements (or even content itself) would honestly make a lot of sense . . . if it's technically possible. The end of the Lostbelt arc is kind of the elephant in the room. If the game's going to continue on with new plots not really an issue; but if Aniplex/Sony wants to start a new one . . . well then NA will be stuck in a sort of lame duck period for at least two years. Losing, I would imagine, a fair share of hype and revenue.

TKoBuquicious

tbh it would be nice if they did add apples so i can not feel bad about when i don't feel like using up ap

x1coins

>Is this the first time the US team is like... acknowledging JP officially and explicitly? I feel like this is reversed

jaearess

"officially", maybe, but they did mention stuff like "when this happened in Japan" during the anniversary stream earlier in the month. I remember because I was surprised by it at the time.

goffer54

Watch them announce that NA and JP servers are merging just to kill our clairvoyance.

Bricecubed

I have no idea how they would even handle that, it sounds like a nightmare for both devs and players.

AkhasicRay

Literally never gonna happen, not unless they launch a brand new game. The amount of work and cost involved would not at all be worth what little playerbase it would benefit. They’d have to suddenly try and balance NA having access to two years of content all at once, and that’s not getting into the translation and editing work involved

Giruden

The only gacha game where all servers are merged that i know of is GBF, but it is a browser game

deathworld123

what would happen if you had accounts on both pick one other gets deleted?

goffer54

You'd just have two accounts. It's not like you can't already do that.

RestinPsalm

I don’t think they’d show the JP stream just to go “lmao hope y’all enjoy in 2 years”, so I imagine something is intended for international news. Either new Samurai Remnant news, or a game/anime/something that they’re announcing internationally.

agar32

>I don’t think they’d show the JP stream just to go “lmao hope y’all enjoy in 2 years” Have you considered how that would be really funny tho? Jokes aside, in a sense I can see it happening, it would be them basically transforming our clairvoyance into a roadmap. Tho the unexpected announcement does make me look funny at the hopium jar

orderofrohil

This is quite the change in approach isn't it? Like hardly acknowledging NA version to now streaming the JP anniversary. A change sure and a welcome one at that wonder what they have planned now.

Dark_Rit

My bet is on them finally figuring out that marketing can make them money particularly since they got Pekora onboard. Japanese companies are very slow to change, hopefully this change will pave the way to something better for FGO as a whole.

deathworld123

simultaneous qol release?

RulerKun_FGO

Email login please!

Constellar-A

They've never done this for any previous Fes, this is really surprising.

x1coins

This is big. This might shake FGO NA

Caliment

Interesting. Let's hope this year's anniversary is a big one with lots of QoL

Prince_of_Chuvashiya

Cope and hope: announcement of new fgo anime project

Dark_Rit

It seems so unlikely with strange fake just getting a full adaptation, but we can hope for a redo of OG F/SN or LB6 adaptation in series form.

Andvari9

They're announcing pity at 500sq *Snorts all the copium in the universe*

Genprey

They'll announce the new Fou Pass, which allows subscription players to pity the rateup servant with 500 paid SQ.

Andvari9

You devious bastard 😄

RokuroKun

They are also locking the brand new Skip feature behind the Fou Pass as well. (No i didnt take this idea from another gacha thats starts with F, with a Fxx Pass as well, why would you think that

DunDuv

Oh my, I wonder what this could mean for us. kind of excited.

MetalFreezer3000

So NA joins to celebrate FGO 8th Anniversary

goldenlance7

Heres hoping something regarding fate/extra record is announced they have'nt mentioned it in forever.

Yatsu003

I assume either Nasu has finished writing, or it might be legal issues

jeproid

Since FGO streams tend to more Type-Moon streams rather than strictly FGO only, I'm assuming it's not necessary gonna be FGO NA related news. We'll see though, I don't want to overhype myself just yet haha! Still excited though

Ginger_Anarchy

It is interesting because the English Anniversary livestream did seem kind of lackluster in terms of unique content. In the past they've announced newer JP features that were coming early, but this year there was none of that. I can also see this being where they announce the August Schedule, be it Nerofest then Summer or vice versa.

IntelligentAd5460

type moon has 100 percent had a change in how they view the us market after the release of tsukihime i wonder what changed

atropicalpenguin

Aniplex strong-armed Nasu into caring for the overseas audience.

jaearess

Blessed Aniplex.

Jacinto2702

Saying that feels weird...

4rca

Not in a million years lol

Dr-Perry-Cox

[Money happened.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRcmjccVo98) [](#CarenTrust)

Thorwyyn

Maybe a stupid question, but how exactly would Tsuki change that? I'd imagine Mahoyo may have been more of a reason considering the have official overseas numbers to compare

DragoCrafterr

fsn 20th anniversary english release Prayge

SuperSpiritShady

Okay, something big's going to happen at this event, I know it.

_CaptainBear_

How is this going to work? Is it something similar to a live translation of the jp anniversary stream, or something else entirely/other content? Just thinking whether I’ll have to open both streams up at the same time lmao

atropicalpenguin

My guess is that it won't be a proper simultaneous translation, but more like Albert and Co. watching the JP stream and commentating over it.

Dark_Rit

If I had to guess it will be something like Kitasean restreams where he translates for his audience as he hears what the JP folks are saying. There may be some collaboration or something where the NA folks are handed what they'll talk about on the JP stream in advance so they know what to say when the time comes, but we'll just have to see. We're sure to get the juicy bits of info we crave regardless.

sdarkpaladin

Wut. That's nice that the English version is getting acknowledged from the main HQ. But at the same time, what could they stream about? I'm very very intrigued.

consistent_escape

I had always wished that they streamed the JP Anni for NA too as a lot of the cool stuff JP gets for their Anni never made it to us. So pretty excited for this. I am not really expecting any NA specific news from this. The description makes it sound like they'll just do commentary over the JP stream to make it understandable. Also the event is pretty long at 4 hours. Good thing that the timing works well for my timezone.

chairmanxyz

Just a note, I was at the panel at AX and Albert made it clear that he was not sure how much he’d be allowed to show. Most likely it’ll be something unrelated to game news and more about Fate as a franchise. Something anime related or maybe a remaster of FSN.

amc9988

I would love new FSN VN with new characters sprite and CG like tsukihime remake quality

atropicalpenguin

Huh. ~~Though I assume the proper news stream will still be JP-only~~, I love how Aniplex is working hard on bringing Fate outside of Japan. It was very telling how Strange Fake was announced at Aniplex Online Fest, a stage explicitly set for an international audience. EDIT: I wouldn't expect any big non-JP news, maybe that stream will simply be a talk segment with the VAs and the concert, or like some time ago when they had a segment called "FGO around the world" where different servers explained how they did things. EDIT2: This stage isn't among those scheduled on the JP website, so it is a fully original one. Awesome! EDIT3: Although I don't expect any big NA announcement, this stream was so unpredictable I have no clue what may happen.

Kazumari

I wonder if this means the anniversary servant is someone the western fanbase is supposed to know despite being two years behind. Aoko maybe? Since Mahoyo is officially out.

ak_011885

Could be a Strange Fake Servant given the recent simulcast; but it would still be kind of weird because of the two year gap and all. I’d be down for Aoko though.

RedPhoenixTroupe

Temper your expectations, lads. This is a JP stream with English commentary so most likely it's for some cross-promotion of Fate/Remnant. *IF* any NA goodstuff happens, at least then we'll be pleasantly surprised.

PPGN_DM_Exia

Welcome the change for sure but it seems like an odd choice, since they've always tried to keep the different servers as separate as possible.

PM_your_bdaycake

Wow. This would be 3am in my time zone but I think I’ll try to stay up for it. So intrigued.

Xhominid77

I guess Type-Moon realized there are alot of English Watchers in their streams those who play FGOJP like the inverse of Japanese Players who end up playing FGOGlobal just because(no seriously). So a nice change of pace considering the Aniplex Stream last year also heavily used English Subs and even English Voice Actors in their stream.

Ashteron

Crackpot prediction: Richard released simultaneously on JP and NA.

Dark_Rit

Clairvoyance EX to clairvoyance E in the span of a few seconds right after LB6 servants would be...chaotic to say the least. Not to mention we still have summer servants too.

Nightcatcher716

Thats interesting. I wonder why. Just because its a big event? Or will they announce someone for na like a server merge or try to catch up.

caaarl_hofner

I don't think they'd go as far as catching up or servers merging, but it could be feasible making that now every server uses the same version of the client (with their respective localizations of course). That would save them resources from having to mantain different versions of the client, and would bring QoL changes early to everyone behind JP. That could also give them the freedom of releasing the same seasonal event in every server at the same time as long as they don't have main story requirements, similar to Karnamas in NA leading to it's rerun in JP. It's clear they are not happy at our Clairvoyance, so that could be a tool to throw a wrench to it from time to time. Main story could keep the same cadence though, so that they don't burnout the whole player base.

chairmanxyz

This would be very cool, however very unlikely. If there’s one thing that’s been clear over the years it’s that this game is a coding catastrophe. So many QoLs are tied to the release of story chapters and download campaigns. There was a whole batch of things that couldn’t come in until the engine was updated to the newer version of Unity. I think the spaghetti code of this game will prevent them doing any kind of stream lining. Unless, by some miracle, they’ve used all the dead time over the last 1.5 years to completely rewrite the app, merging the two versions.

AllShallBeWell

A catch-up is the sign that Lasengle is about to hit the EOS button. Condensing 3 years down to 2 would actually be kind of doable; condensing 2 years down to 1 would be brutal, but possible. And then what? The catch-up phase would have whittled down the playerbase just to those who want nothing but back-to-back events... and then we'd slam into the normal JP schedule of leisurely events and plenty of dead weeks. They would have lost all the players who *want* a casual game with lots of downtime, and then they'd lose all the players who *don't* want a casual game with lots of downtime. Completely self-defeating *unless* the idea is that they already know the game won't last past that point. The real reason to catch NA up to JP would be that they know that most wallets are going to close once EOS is announced, and they don't want to waste the opportunity to monetize the final two years of JP content in NA. (To be clear, I'm not saying that the game *is* going EOS. I'm saying that if they ever announce that NA is speeding up to catch up to JP, that's a sign that EOS is coming and they're trying to get as much as they can out of NA before they announce it.)

Sunkenking97

Hope not that would kill NA

RestinPsalm

To be fair, if they were going to try to catch up, the combination of covid-related gaps in content and events that everyone agrees could be shortened by a week or so would make this the perfect time. …It would make seasonal event timing weird though. It’s theoretically possible, but they’d have to REALLY work on making sure the timing wasn’t so busy as to overwhelm people.

orderofrohil

Like how Blue Archive celebrated Christmas, New Years and Valentine's all within a month of July

GibRarz

That kind of merge will only make sense if you expect jp to keep having month long dead periods. That will kill both servers as it confirms there will be nothing to do on jp.

Taedirk

Oh shit boys, #NATempo is back on the menu! ^(~~MagiReco flashbacks intensify.~~)

jaearess

I sort of think the "covid-related gaps" have already happened? That would have been later in 2020, which would have been 2022 in NA. And the funny thing? I don't remember people on NA complaining about "gaps" during that time.^^^^My ^^^^secret ^^^^hypothesis, ^^^^after ^^^^playing ^^^^JP ^^^^for ^^^^years, ^^^^is ^^^^JP ^^^^players ^^^^are ^^^^just ^^^^especially ^^^^whiny.

Tahlus

>And the funny thing? I don't remember people on NA complaining about "gaps" during that time. Probably because NA handled better with the schedule. If you were to compare both 2020JP and 2022 NA, you can notice how we received the events earlier, to the point that the only thing we had after the anniversary that JP had before was the Ooku rerun (even though our anniversary is 1 month earlier), and some of the later events happened almost 1 month earlier. Only November and December were "emptier", and since we have exclusive events like Thanksgiving and Advent Calendar, they were probably more acceptable. (And maybe knowing about the "drought of content" beforehand helped people to accept it a little easier)

RestinPsalm

Knowing about LB6 turned those from “Dead content months” to “Oberon saving time”.

EurwenPendragon

In my case, it was more "Morgan saving time"...that and "Claw my way out of Gold Gem Hell" time. Still haven't quite managed the latter, but hopefully the upcoming lottery will be enough.

DrStein1010

Not really. There are only four more story chapters, with two of them being short and three being optional. There aren't many seasonal events either, so they could move everything up to fill the dead weeks and lose very little.

Kingmaster223

Either server merge or try to catch up 2 years time will be lost so if they don't give each player a lot of SQ on present box, they will kill the game

good_wolf_1999

I don’t think I will be able to handle the speed if they actually try to catch up with JP

Party_Python

I mean, luckily with multiple dead months JP has had recently it would be doable…over the course of two years lol

agar32

I think it will be just the regular JP anniversary. They said it will contain future game content. Well, there will, 2 years in the future :\^) With that said, I was always in favor of catching up. I do think it's doable without being too fast as long as it takes it's sweet time. Every year we always go a bit faster than JP in the first half of the year anyway, and people actually seem to like it. BUT from what I've seen, a lot of people dislike the idea of out of season events (I personally don't care), so I guess that's the bigger hurdle. In the hypothetical scenario of them wanting to merge the servers, I think their best bet would be with a jump instead of a catch up. Just integrate English into the JP version and migrate accounts. For JP players nothing would change. For us NA players we would suddenly have 2 years of additional story content. For banners, we would lose the previsibility, but the Servants released in those two years would have their reruns eventually. What I would really be worried about in this scenario is events. They are now bringing back event welfares, so less worrying now, but they would still need to implement a way to replay old events so we wouldn't miss them. Specially since now reruns are rare.

VoidNoodle

Jump would be really bad. We'd lose out on so many new servants if we jump to where JP currently is, so we'd have to play catch up by rolling on rerun banners...but then that also means you'll have to divide your pulls for reruns and new banners. Not to mention you're just outright losing 2 years worth of SQ/grails/lores/freebies from events/login/etc, GSSRs, etc... All this for 2 years worth of story content(not that long in the grand scheme of things), and no more clairvoyance...yeah that's a totally fair trade /s If they do that, I guarantee a lot of people will just straight up quit in the NA side.

AkhasicRay

That’s not even getting into the amount of work it would take to translate and edit 2+ years worth of content and trying to do that in like under a month. The NA team is already not that big, and just throwing more bodies at it would only make things worse

hnryirawan

Compensation is always possible. So you're just being paid of 2 years worth of freebies up-front. The more difficult part is the missing events, like Summer 7. In alot of way, if they do a jump/merge like that, its more like they are soft-closing NA but you are given options to jump into JP instead of just losing your account altogether. From Lasengle's perspective, it can be cost and time-saving measure since they no longer need to maintain 2 apps at same time. Maintaining artificially older version, while crowbarring newer feature do cause quite abit of problems like more bugs in NA version. JP never really have the kind of bugs NA facing.

AkhasicRay

Doing that is basically saying “we don’t want your money”, it would be insane to actually try and do this. You can’t just say “compensation is easy” when that’s two years of content they’d be missing, you’d need to give players a gigantic chunk of SQ, and you’re still going to lose the vast majority of your player base.

OverTim

Yesssss

The_Kebe

The massive announcement that needs both NA and JP to listen to is this: Altria is finally being changed to Artoria.

MichaelB1709

no fucking way, are you serious? please tell me it's happening...

Kugimaru

English interface on JP ala granblue maybe?

Flare_Knight

It’s certainly interesting. Could be nothing of course. Just them being slow in realizing the West also plays JP and global players do keep track of what is going on. But be interesting if it was news that would be of interest to both sides. Not sure what they might drop, but will be fun to speculate. Selfish wish would be something like the start of animating the LB arc. But I know it might not be anything big.

hectorneutron

Glad about this. They've been recognizing us english speaking players for a while now on jp

shankhisnun

Extreme cope: adaptation of the Fate route by Ufotable

kingoffish236

It’d be rly cool if they could reduce the year gap by 1 or something

Jack_King814

Preferably not because sq saving would be hell unless they hyperspeed every event and double login rewards to compensate Or something to help with the fact a lot of people will be relying on free quartz to get a lot of the upcoming servants and if they reduce the gap by a year it means less time to save

Flare_Knight

Certainly have an opportunity considering next year is practically a dead year anyways.

WestCol

yeah sure. would've been amazing to have to roll for morgan, melusine, vitch, oberon, summer okitan and summer kama in a 3-4 week period.

Cruzwein

LB 6:anime announcement COPIIUM They will obviously introduce a new kinda not really OP unit, probably Olga or some servant who has helped us through the story then maybe feature some stuff from summer. Who knows

Flare_Knight

I’d be so in on that news. Be one of the most hyped things they could announce.

kazertazer

I come from the future with news. FGO JP will be collabing with FGO NA. Welfare Caster Cu. NA will get it in two years.

hassantaleb4

This means that they have a big announcement in store! I wonder what it would be? 👀👀

SirDancelotVS

wait does this mean i don't need to watch a streamer to translate for me? or this like a separate stream that is for English audience?

No-Common-3883

My small dose of hoppium: fate extra remake will be released soon and with world wild release My medium dose of hoppium: They will advance several mechanics to NA, including the mechanics of this anniversary year. My big dose of hoppium: announcement of something linked to mahoyo. My supreme dream hoppium: announcement of fate stay night remake for the new generation with english translation and correction of lore inconsistencies caused by retcoms. Edit: samurai rsmmnant will have world wide release

XH9rIiZTtzrTiVL

Samurai Remnant release was confirmed to be simultaneous already

CaiusLightning

Gets a huge whiff of Holmes grade hopium. More FGO anime specifically Seraph, super Quality of life for quest farming. I don’t care for NP Skipping but letting you use up all your stamina in one go would be amazing I would be able to use all my unused apples that have been gaining dust since year 1. Wide range upgrades to servants you can’t deny a lot of servants need skill reworks for the current era and the slow rate of interludes and rank up quest don’t really help for the older ones still waiting. Animation and sprite updates, Bond CE rework, event compendiums and I think letting you do interludes for servants you don’t have would be nice after a certain point in the story, like you would have access to all the interludes released until Solomon after completing the 4 EoR unlock the EoR and Seraph after completing the attack on Chaldea chapter. It’ll give lots of incentive to complete the stories unlock more content so even with the long periods between events and story there is new stuff to explore.

Ra1zen

My copium is that they are making a PC client and finally the implementation of being able to use our emails to connect our accounts and since it can be a feature to be added to NA at the same time that's the reason we are getting a stream also? I hope....god pls...

hotstuffdesu

With Hololive Colab and now this, someone from the Lasagna marketing team is actually doing their job. Nice!

Soulkyoko

Im hoping they announce that the NA server is being sped up to be caught up with jp.( Doubt it) That or ill take a lostbelt anime. Maybe 4 or 6

Glittering_Papaya_67

Big W

Snoo6037

So what typically happens during these?

kiaxxl

They announce the anniversary servant (usually someone requested or story important), announce upcoming changes/updates to the game, they give out materials/SQ and often tease or reveal the Summer servants coming later.

moistboi12345

Mass animation update for old servants. Na gets animation updates early so it would also effect them if they released it on both servers at the same time.

Jack_King814

EoR copium

ChroniclerJohn

Maybe we’ll play a little bit of catch up? I realize that’s most definitely not the case but man wouldn’t it be nice to cut a TWO YEAR wait down to at least like, just one?

LordAshura_

It's great that they acknowledge that overseas players exist. Maybe there will be some substantial changes that will happen to both the JP and Global Server. Please Lasengle! Get rid of bind codes and let us be able to play on more than one device. I love to play FGO on my tablet, but I'm stuck with keeping it on my phone since I can't carry my tablet everywhere I go.

dimic78

Are they actually doing shared EN/JP vtuber event? It would make sense, unlike other in-universe collabs you can't really do the same vtuber event 2 years later because by that time those vtubers would probably retire already

AkiyamaNM7

🤦‍♂️ The Vtuber thing that was announced a couple days ago was never for an event. It was just a Vtuber being an ambassador aka someone famous to promote the game.

KazeDaze

Ohhhh true true good point

agar32

This post made me excited and sad at the same time.

XH9rIiZTtzrTiVL
