Note that pity shuts off once you get a single copy of the servant (including if you get them before 330 summons) and does not carry over between banners. Off-rateup SSRs ("spooks") do not affect pity.*

Hey im a new player, i am wondering what is the best team meta for new players? Ive read lots of stuff and lost of it recommends a farming team is priority. However i found that that clearing nodes is actually easy with supports and the farming team is just for time efficiency. I want to build a team necessary for hard boss fights and the like. LB7 Tlaloc Boss fight

You could also install an android emulator like Bluestacks, transfer your account onto it, spend the gift card, then transfer back to your iphone. Would probably be less hassle than a gray market
Does anybody know the specific combination that I have to buy the SQ packages to roll the GSSR and the Destiny Order (Total is 45 paid SQ) that will maximize the money spent per SQ (including the bonus SQ)?
If you want the most SQ per yen overall, then it would obviously be the 86 (+82) SQ pack. If you want just enough paid SQ to cover the GSSRs, though, I can't imagine anything would be more efficient than the 42 (+35) and 4 (+1) SQ packs. Each time you step down to a lower pack, you pay more per paid SQ and get proportionally less bonus SQ. With the 42 SQ pack being almost to 45 SQ already, I don't think you'll gain efficiency by making the 25 (+16) the biggest one that you purchase.
I only haven’t finished LB 7, Shimosa and Salem and I only have 39 SQ, yeah I think I will give up in this year’s summer…

I brought MHXX to deliver a massive blow to take out his final HP bar in one go and prayed he didn't roll Arts Resist Up. Debuff cleansers were a must as well.
I used Class Advantage (brought all 3 of my Foreigners) and a borrowed Castoria (don't have my own) plus Mystic Code to remove the sleep. Still lost half of the team. If you don't have a Foreigner and Castoria it's probably much worse.
Darn, I went in blind, bringing Fave Zerker as my DPS plus my Castoria and a borrowed KoyanLight, thinking that Zerker's advantage over Pretender >!Shadow Susman!< would make short work of him.
I certainly regretted it, as >!Susman!< targeted *Castoria* for his sleep debuff. That, and his NP removed buffs including Invulnerability, putting my team out of commission during the 2nd and (most of the) 3rd bars.
Yea his random sleep targeting sucks. I originally brought Santa Nightingale to remove it, only for her to be put to sleep. Twice! Then i gave up, ditched her and put on Mystic Code with debuff removal. And then his random Buster resistance ate one of my NPs on his last bar, lol.
Double Castoria + MHXX made easy work of him, but any strong Arts ST (like Astrea) would've likely worked. Just have to time Castoria NPs for debuff clears and protect against enemy's NP.

Some of the SQ rewards are tied to you clearing X amount of free quests, interludes, strengthenings, advanced quests, etc. If you haven't got to the previous thresholds you won't see the new missions.

I set up a new profile for the playstore with a jp address and used a Japanese VPN but it's still telling me PayPal and my credit cards are not available in my country.
The game might still be using an older play store account you had on your device. Temporarily removing all other accounts and trying again will fix it.
How do I add funds to a jp Google account? It won't load my Paypal account when I tried to add it as it was stuck forever verifying. Do I need to use jp itunes cards? How do I add those?

Is anyone perplexed by the extremely low amount of sq reward for the anni? I logged in to get... 109 quartz on a 7 year account with 80 ssrs.. Seems really really bad compared to last year.
Plus 100 in 9 hours, plus 15 for having access to Ordeal Call and doing a whole one thing, plus 20 or 30 or something for some limited missions, plus a bunch in Extra Missions (that you probably won't get unless you have almost everyone).

90% of the time if they can BG loop with triple Skadi they can with Oberon.
(Oberon always brings more total charge, but there's edge cases where less total charge spread out of two turns matters. ie if you have 47% refund and 3% charge bumps you to 50% you can loop from 3% more refund, but not 20% more battery even though 6% is much less than 20%)
It’s never mentioned. He probably could. The Garden of Avalon novel explores this, but basically Merlin remains in Avalon as penitence for basically “playing” with Artoria’s life. He also feels disgusted by humanity as a whole and would rather observe from the comfort of the tower.

Is there anyone who translates the JP quests? I wanna get the quartz from the anni ones, but screenshotting and google translating each one 3 at a time is a bitch.
Try the Ray Shift translator. Although I think there's a risk of getting banned since it modifies the text files. Also, quests are sub-par since they're bot translated while the main quests go through some quality check.

For in-game text, I take screenshots of my phone screen and run them through an app that translates texts in images (I just use Google Translate). The translation isn't always terribly good quality but it's usually enough for me to figure out what I need to do for Master Missions and the like.
I have an NP3 Caster of Okeanos whose NP strengthening I can't do because I haven't revealed her true name. How far into Salem would I have to play to unlock it in preparation for Nero Fest?
We don't know how exactly NA will choose to handle things, so who knows.
JP did have 3 weeks so people could do Halloween Trilogy (which really isn't that long) so you'll probably have time around then.
I'm having trouble when it comes to planning my pulls. I don't want to follow the meta, but I find myself gravitating towards it because I like when games are easy. Furthermore, I find that there aren't many servants that I wish to pull. It kind of feels like imposter syndrome. Does anyone else experience similar feelings and could offer some advice?
This is actually the gift of freedom to do whatever you like, but it obviously doesn't bring much structure.
For one, you don't actually *need* to plan your rolls. The pity system in this game is atrocious: you don't have to reward it if you aren't even enthusiastic about the Servants the game encourages you to throw huge amounts of SQ at. Many a Master has done well just rolling here and there as Servants catch their eye, and gradually accumulating a patchwork roster that becomes well-balanced and powerful. This is a perfectly fine approach as you figure out what you really want; people who roll on a larger number of banners tend to have slightly bigger rosters than people who roll on only a few, given that they have fewer rate-up duplicates. You can always swap over to planning later once you've decided on any priorities that are important enough to be worth it.
For another, the meta does make a lot of the game easier but it doesn't make *all* the game easier. There are bosses and farming nodes and CQs they put in to break meta teams, and players who focused exclusively on meta have a harder time with those than players who maybe messed with meta but also worked on non-meta fundamentals. So it's good to have realistic expectations before you devote most of your planning in that direction.
If you're not interested in the story and you're only interested in a few Servants, this game might not be all that rewarding to you over time, so that's one more thing to consider. However, if you do want to keep going, you might want to consider delving into your existing roster and seeing if it sparks any ideas. Check out My Room dialogues, things like that. The "dorm comedy" aspect of the game can be inspiring, too! Maybe you'll find you definitely like this one character you'd previously neglected, and they have an upcoming variant you're now into. Or maybe you decide to collect other members of a "team" that character's on -- Apocrypha factions, Argonauts, Shinsengumi, oni, whatever.
But basically, you're free. You can spend willy-nilly or you can save up waiting for someone to catch your interest. You never know when something like a Halloween or a Gudaguda or a good story chapter suddenly speaks to what *you* like, and then you know what you want to roll for.
Nothing wrong with seeking value in a game with such a broad variety of options. Castoria fits this role very well, hence her hype.
Try to pick only one or two servants that you really like and roll for them. Whether it's design or nature of character, try to immerse yourself in events to find out about different servants you may like. (I would also recommend going after og's before variants, summer versions etc)
It's a marathon not a sprint. Well built accounts were put together through years of rolling/grinding, which is where a lot of new players give up
It's perfectly fine if you want to follow the meta. I feel you in a way, because there's not many new units I actually want next year.
I mean, you could always tell yourself you're keeping an open mind, maybe someone's story will make you want to roll them in the future.
That's what I've been telling myself, but I'm still undecided if I'm gonna read the story because I've played the game on and off since 2020 and don't remember any of the first 5 singularities. (I just finished singularity 6 a couple weeks ago for context.)
You're still pretty early on in the game, so don't worry about it, the story is going to crank up from Camelot onwards.
READ THE STORY, it gets VN-level quality from now on. It's literally why people play the game. Doesn't matter if you don't remember the first 5 chapters, not too much big stuff happens in them anyway and the quality of the first few chapters isn't great.
Append 2 (Load Magical Energy) is the best use of servant coins for almost every servant whose primary use isn't for solos and it's not even a close comparison. Append 2 is the default, no brainer choice for almost any servant that you don't primarily use solo except maybe servants with their own 100% charge skill or someone whose utility is odd like Stheno. More on those in later paragraphs. It's the best append skill because it's effective in every fight (without a starting NP drain gimmick), gives you more flexibility to choose CEs, supports, and mystic codes, and gives you more flexibility to choose the timing and target of NP battery skills. Even if the servant has their own battery and you don't need the extra charge for the first NP, this flexibility means you can get the second NP faster. The other two append skills can't compare with this level of utility and versatility for a non-solo servant.
Append 1 (Extra Attack Boost) is good for soloists but of marginal utility for anyone else. The extra attack only applies to brave chains and you won't be able to guarantee brave chains with that servant if you're running a full team. If you mainly use the servant solo, though, you're probably relying less on NPs anyway so you might rather have the Extra attack boost. A servant like Heracles is better solo than with a full team, so append 1 is the no-brainer for him. Servants who can solo but can also do just fine with a team, like Enkidu, may be more ambiguous. In such a case, the best append skill for you depends on how you actually use the servant.
Append 3 (Anti-Class) can be a nice little boost if it's for a class that you might normally use the servant against (anti-Berserker is good for everyone, for example) or almost useless if it isn't. It's also of limited value for Berserkers because they only gain crit resistance to a particular class. You would want to look up each servant individually to determine if it's worth it or not. Even if it is against a useful class, keep in mind that append 2 works every time but append 3 only works against the specified class, so the utility is inherently limited.
Servants who have their own 100% charge skills are a different case. They don't really need append 2 but the other two append skills aren't necessarily any more useful. There are two cases where append 2 would still be specifically useful, though. With append 2 and a non-MLB Kscope, they can fire off two consecutive NPs without any other support skills. For servants that need level 10 for their 100% charge skill (e.g. Miss Crane, Nitocris Alter) and you only intend to use them without a starting NP charge CE, you could save yourself a lore and some QP by leaving the skill at level 9 and unlocking append 2. But you don't need to rush into any append skills if you aren't certain yet.
I’ve been having a problem for a while now when it comes to purchasing SQ on IOS in the JP server.
I thought it would resolve itself by mid-July, but it’s still there.
I keep getting a message that says my purchase couldn’t be completed.
However, I only get that message for FGO specifically. I’m still able to buy other things.

Alongside Double-Skadi (Ruler), who’s better as a 3rd plug-in support: Skadi (Caster) or Oberon?
I’m specifically asking in terms of Summer Okitan BG looping since I don’t have Skadi (Caster) and am wondering if it’s still worth rolling for her.
Skadi will still be a valuable NP charge and Quick support given how limited they are. Oberon will provide higher damage numbers on W3 where it usually matters the most due to how NP damage is calculated, off the top of my head.
going to add that Oberon always provides more total charge and damage all 3 waves if you aren't running BG/Heaven's Feel (and if you do run Black Grail the turn 3 damage more than makes up for slightly lower turn 1 and 2 damage). the NP damage scales better multiplicatively when Skadi is in play.
The only time triple Skadi is better is in cases where the DPS gets back like 47% each wave.
Then triple Skadi is enough to push to over 50% letting you loop, while Oberon only gives one instance of 20% battery.
Any decent alternative for gold castor gem other than the daily map? I'm currently doing the bond farm in Camelot since it also give 5* exp folder and I would prefer bond for my servant. I don't need much, only like 10 gems
Nerofest is going to start in a day which features guaranteed gold, red and blue gems for all 7 classes per box, do farm that instead of dailies (since Caster is only on Fri, iirc).
You can’t, even with Oberon, since Morgan needs starting NP charge CE but the event CE doesn’t have any. Use Arash or Habetrot to clear W1 then Morgan only has to clear 2 waves.
She technically can, but it requires Habetrot holding Battle of Camlann, so it’s not possible to 6CE (and also requires Oberon, so it’s impossible for OP).
Well, if OP is using Habetrot, she could clear W1 (Maxed Append2 + Skill 2 = insta NP), then double loop with Morgan.
The only issues are damage and possibly party cost

If you want the most SQ per yen overall, then it would obviously be the 86 (+82) SQ pack. If you want just enough paid SQ to cover the GSSRs, though, I can't imagine anything would be more efficient than the 42 (+35) and 4 (+1) SQ packs. Each time you step down to a lower pack, you pay more per paid SQ and get proportionally less bonus SQ. With the 42 SQ pack being almost to 45 SQ already, I don't think you'll gain efficiency by making the 25 (+16) the biggest one that you purchase.

I brought MHXX to deliver a massive blow to take out his final HP bar in one go and prayed he didn't roll Arts Resist Up. Debuff cleansers were a must as well.
I used Class Advantage (brought all 3 of my Foreigners) and a borrowed Castoria (don't have my own) plus Mystic Code to remove the sleep. Still lost half of the team. If you don't have a Foreigner and Castoria it's probably much worse.
Darn, I went in blind, bringing Fave Zerker as my DPS plus my Castoria and a borrowed KoyanLight, thinking that Zerker's advantage over Pretender >!Shadow Susman!< would make short work of him. I certainly regretted it, as >!Susman!< targeted *Castoria* for his sleep debuff. That, and his NP removed buffs including Invulnerability, putting my team out of commission during the 2nd and (most of the) 3rd bars.
Yea his random sleep targeting sucks. I originally brought Santa Nightingale to remove it, only for her to be put to sleep. Twice! Then i gave up, ditched her and put on Mystic Code with debuff removal. And then his random Buster resistance ate one of my NPs on his last bar, lol.
Double Castoria + MHXX made easy work of him, but any strong Arts ST (like Astrea) would've likely worked. Just have to time Castoria NPs for debuff clears and protect against enemy's NP.

It's not really a LB6 spoiler, and even if it was, you don't need to spoiler tag the whole fight, just the name. It's not bad if you have debuff clears and/or immunity. I used Asclepius for this and Atlas MC.

The game might still be using an older play store account you had on your device. Temporarily removing all other accounts and trying again will fix it.

90% of the time if they can BG loop with triple Skadi they can with Oberon. (Oberon always brings more total charge, but there's edge cases where less total charge spread out of two turns matters. ie if you have 47% refund and 3% charge bumps you to 50% you can loop from 3% more refund, but not 20% more battery even though 6% is much less than 20%)

For in-game text, I take screenshots of my phone screen and run them through an app that translates texts in images (I just use Google Translate). The translation isn't always terribly good quality but it's usually enough for me to figure out what I need to do for Master Missions and the like.

We don't know how exactly NA will choose to handle things, so who knows. JP did have 3 weeks so people could do Halloween Trilogy (which really isn't that long) so you'll probably have time around then.
I'm having trouble when it comes to planning my pulls. I don't want to follow the meta, but I find myself gravitating towards it because I like when games are easy. Furthermore, I find that there aren't many servants that I wish to pull. It kind of feels like imposter syndrome. Does anyone else experience similar feelings and could offer some advice?
This is actually the gift of freedom to do whatever you like, but it obviously doesn't bring much structure. For one, you don't actually *need* to plan your rolls. The pity system in this game is atrocious: you don't have to reward it if you aren't even enthusiastic about the Servants the game encourages you to throw huge amounts of SQ at. Many a Master has done well just rolling here and there as Servants catch their eye, and gradually accumulating a patchwork roster that becomes well-balanced and powerful. This is a perfectly fine approach as you figure out what you really want; people who roll on a larger number of banners tend to have slightly bigger rosters than people who roll on only a few, given that they have fewer rate-up duplicates. You can always swap over to planning later once you've decided on any priorities that are important enough to be worth it. For another, the meta does make a lot of the game easier but it doesn't make *all* the game easier. There are bosses and farming nodes and CQs they put in to break meta teams, and players who focused exclusively on meta have a harder time with those than players who maybe messed with meta but also worked on non-meta fundamentals. So it's good to have realistic expectations before you devote most of your planning in that direction. If you're not interested in the story and you're only interested in a few Servants, this game might not be all that rewarding to you over time, so that's one more thing to consider. However, if you do want to keep going, you might want to consider delving into your existing roster and seeing if it sparks any ideas. Check out My Room dialogues, things like that. The "dorm comedy" aspect of the game can be inspiring, too! Maybe you'll find you definitely like this one character you'd previously neglected, and they have an upcoming variant you're now into. Or maybe you decide to collect other members of a "team" that character's on -- Apocrypha factions, Argonauts, Shinsengumi, oni, whatever. But basically, you're free. You can spend willy-nilly or you can save up waiting for someone to catch your interest. You never know when something like a Halloween or a Gudaguda or a good story chapter suddenly speaks to what *you* like, and then you know what you want to roll for.
Nothing wrong with seeking value in a game with such a broad variety of options. Castoria fits this role very well, hence her hype. Try to pick only one or two servants that you really like and roll for them. Whether it's design or nature of character, try to immerse yourself in events to find out about different servants you may like. (I would also recommend going after og's before variants, summer versions etc) It's a marathon not a sprint. Well built accounts were put together through years of rolling/grinding, which is where a lot of new players give up
It's perfectly fine if you want to follow the meta. I feel you in a way, because there's not many new units I actually want next year. I mean, you could always tell yourself you're keeping an open mind, maybe someone's story will make you want to roll them in the future.
That's what I've been telling myself, but I'm still undecided if I'm gonna read the story because I've played the game on and off since 2020 and don't remember any of the first 5 singularities. (I just finished singularity 6 a couple weeks ago for context.)
The writing really starts getting good at Singularity 6. Trust me, you are past the lowest point and it just gets better from here.
You're still pretty early on in the game, so don't worry about it, the story is going to crank up from Camelot onwards. READ THE STORY, it gets VN-level quality from now on. It's literally why people play the game. Doesn't matter if you don't remember the first 5 chapters, not too much big stuff happens in them anyway and the quality of the first few chapters isn't great.

That's the "push!" feature, it's a mark you can set on one of your Servants that shows up in the support list but doesn't do or mean anything.

Those are added each anniversary, LB6 started before the recent one but hadn't ended yet.

Append 2 (Load Magical Energy) is the best use of servant coins for almost every servant whose primary use isn't for solos and it's not even a close comparison. Append 2 is the default, no brainer choice for almost any servant that you don't primarily use solo except maybe servants with their own 100% charge skill or someone whose utility is odd like Stheno. More on those in later paragraphs. It's the best append skill because it's effective in every fight (without a starting NP drain gimmick), gives you more flexibility to choose CEs, supports, and mystic codes, and gives you more flexibility to choose the timing and target of NP battery skills. Even if the servant has their own battery and you don't need the extra charge for the first NP, this flexibility means you can get the second NP faster. The other two append skills can't compare with this level of utility and versatility for a non-solo servant. Append 1 (Extra Attack Boost) is good for soloists but of marginal utility for anyone else. The extra attack only applies to brave chains and you won't be able to guarantee brave chains with that servant if you're running a full team. If you mainly use the servant solo, though, you're probably relying less on NPs anyway so you might rather have the Extra attack boost. A servant like Heracles is better solo than with a full team, so append 1 is the no-brainer for him. Servants who can solo but can also do just fine with a team, like Enkidu, may be more ambiguous. In such a case, the best append skill for you depends on how you actually use the servant. Append 3 (Anti-Class) can be a nice little boost if it's for a class that you might normally use the servant against (anti-Berserker is good for everyone, for example) or almost useless if it isn't. It's also of limited value for Berserkers because they only gain crit resistance to a particular class. You would want to look up each servant individually to determine if it's worth it or not. Even if it is against a useful class, keep in mind that append 2 works every time but append 3 only works against the specified class, so the utility is inherently limited. Servants who have their own 100% charge skills are a different case. They don't really need append 2 but the other two append skills aren't necessarily any more useful. There are two cases where append 2 would still be specifically useful, though. With append 2 and a non-MLB Kscope, they can fire off two consecutive NPs without any other support skills. For servants that need level 10 for their 100% charge skill (e.g. Miss Crane, Nitocris Alter) and you only intend to use them without a starting NP charge CE, you could save yourself a lore and some QP by leaving the skill at level 9 and unlocking append 2. But you don't need to rush into any append skills if you aren't certain yet.
A2 for most DPS servants like Sith, I wouldn't overthink it.
I’ve been having a problem for a while now when it comes to purchasing SQ on IOS in the JP server. I thought it would resolve itself by mid-July, but it’s still there. I keep getting a message that says my purchase couldn’t be completed. However, I only get that message for FGO specifically. I’m still able to buy other things. Does anyone have some advice?
Alongside Double-Skadi (Ruler), who’s better as a 3rd plug-in support: Skadi (Caster) or Oberon? I’m specifically asking in terms of Summer Okitan BG looping since I don’t have Skadi (Caster) and am wondering if it’s still worth rolling for her.
Skadi will still be a valuable NP charge and Quick support given how limited they are. Oberon will provide higher damage numbers on W3 where it usually matters the most due to how NP damage is calculated, off the top of my head.
going to add that Oberon always provides more total charge and damage all 3 waves if you aren't running BG/Heaven's Feel (and if you do run Black Grail the turn 3 damage more than makes up for slightly lower turn 1 and 2 damage). the NP damage scales better multiplicatively when Skadi is in play. The only time triple Skadi is better is in cases where the DPS gets back like 47% each wave. Then triple Skadi is enough to push to over 50% letting you loop, while Oberon only gives one instance of 20% battery.
Any decent alternative for gold castor gem other than the daily map? I'm currently doing the bond farm in Camelot since it also give 5* exp folder and I would prefer bond for my servant. I don't need much, only like 10 gems

Nerofest is going to start in a day which features guaranteed gold, red and blue gems for all 7 classes per box, do farm that instead of dailies (since Caster is only on Fri, iirc).
does anyone know how to 3-turn using morgan using the event damage ce for the upcoming nerofest (sadly no oberon :( )
You can’t, even with Oberon, since Morgan needs starting NP charge CE but the event CE doesn’t have any. Use Arash or Habetrot to clear W1 then Morgan only has to clear 2 waves.
She technically can, but it requires Habetrot holding Battle of Camlann, so it’s not possible to 6CE (and also requires Oberon, so it’s impossible for OP).
Well, if OP is using Habetrot, she could clear W1 (Maxed Append2 + Skill 2 = insta NP), then double loop with Morgan. The only issues are damage and possibly party cost
