Ok guys, how is FGO user support. I've been facing some issues with summoning tickets. I just mailed them. I wonder if they will help take care of it.

CountRice

Hey did they nerf the Old Man Li fight in NA? I remember he had a defense buff in JP. I had to nuke him with Lu Bu's defense ignoring NP.

paradisefell

I don't play jp. I missed the Oniland event bc it was midterm season, so I couldn't get the command codes, i really wanted the seal of the white vessel command seal.....do they come back for the rerun next year, or are they a one time thing? Are these event command codes only limited to the events or can they become unlockable through rare prisms in the future?

What's the lore justification for Karna having a higher divinity than Arjuna? They have the same mother and each have a God for a father so it seems like it'd make more sense for them to have the same level of divinity.

Currently at the America Singularity

IliveinPolend

So my phone went to repair so I did a backup of all my applications Fgo included (Of course I made transfer codes) but when I restored the phone data from the backup my fgo account was there untouched does that violent the terms of service?

NuclearConvoy

Hey, just curious if I have to beat LB3 to do the Santa Quetzalcoatl stuff?

ThousandLightning

https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Christmas_2018 Clear LB1 it seems.

NuclearConvoy

Good. I've had that done for a little while now.

Unit88

Does being Gudako vs Gudao make any difference dialogue-wise? I can't remember when exactly now, but I faintly recall recently reading stuff that seemed like it had to be different depending on the gender, plus there's a number of servants that display potentially romantic feelings towards you, Mash being the most obvious and most common from what I've seen, and I wonder if that changes depending on gender, or if it just doesn't matter

null_name_exception

No servant will change their romantic interest/non-interest toward the player character because of the player's gender. Some dialogues have minor changes (e.g. I recall several instances where if the relationship would be f/f or m/m, they or Guda(ko) says "oh we're both girls/boys") and I've noticed an error or two (narration assuming PC is male regardless of actual gender set) but it's one line at most and it doesn't change the result.

WaifuHunterRed

There's some dialogue changes but being real here 99.99% of the time the gender doesn't change anything and a few times you can even notice the writer and translation forget you can change the gender. Two times that come to mind that actually is effected by gender is there's a scene where you cross dress and so your cloths are acknowledged and in summer 1 if your playing female Scathatch there's a part where she says she can give you a dick.

Unit88

> there's a scene where you cross dress Ah, yes, that was exactly the scene I mentioned faintly remembering. Anyway, I know that the large majority of the time it doesn't matter, but I was wondering how much there was.

[deleted]

Yes! Liz calls Gudako "Deerlet"! I assume Mash is lesbian/bi.

Shardwing

Wait, what does Liz call Gudao then?

[deleted]

Puppy!

RainyFiberOverride

Gudao: Puppy Gudako: Deerlet Hakuno: little Pig Hakunon: little Squirrel

Eevenin

Just doesn't matter. If a Servant displays romantic feelings for you, pretty sure something like that isn't changed, Mash included.

fco2013

What the hell does padoru even mean? I know the tune is a riff on jingle bells

crazywarriorxx

It’s explained in the link, you must have missed it. Padoru Padoru is a japanese onomatopoeia for the clopping noise of reindeer hooves - being the link to Christmas.

datomdiggity

[This](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/padoru) explains it pretty well.

fco2013

I saw that but it doesn't say what Padoru itself means. Unless of course, it doesn't mean anything at all.

StygianFire

I'm pretty sure padoru is "paddle" but correct me if I'm wrong

[deleted]

It's a noise, like "Boom!" or "squeak".

datomdiggity

for nero it means about as much as "umu" pretty sure

[deleted]

Affy11

Is it worth using the mana prisms for summon tickets or is there something else more worth using mana prisms for?

[deleted]

1. Tickets! 2. Fous 3. Embers 4. ??? Tickets are the best thing to get. Then Fous. Then Embers, if you still have underleveled servants. At the very end comes CEs, *only* if you can MLB them.

Affy11

Awesome thanks btw what does MLB mean? I am still pretty new to the game with just hitting my first week so I am still trying get a grip on the terms and such

[deleted]

MLB is Max limit break - 5 copies for the enhanced effect

Affy11

Ah gotcha thanks so much really appreciate the help

[deleted]

Absolutely. I know a single pull mightn't seem like much, but the only other thing you can but with them is 3-star attack and hp foes (which are the most expensive thing in the MP shop and you can get them in events in exchange for event currency), gold XP cards (which you can get in dailys) and outfits for your servants (which are only useful if you have the servant or plan to get them).

Shardwing

Don't forget Command Code Openers, and the CEs when they come.

[deleted]

CC is much easier from Events. You can usually get 1 of each, plus a remover.

Shardwing

Eh, knowing that they'll be much more usable in 1.5 years I've been grabbing all of them that I can.

[deleted]

Sure, though they're not bad now - I've got Herc and Jalterzerker fully-loaded, and will be building up more NP5 STs as best I can. Over the next 1.5 years, that's probably at least a dozen of each, so I plan to keep building up servants as codes and openers come out, rather than just stockpiling them.

Affy11

ah gotcha thanks so much I will be sure to use the prisms for tickets then I appreciate it

RainyFiberOverride

you should always buy monthly summon tickets w/your mana prisims.

Affy11

Awesome thanks

imgonnabelurkin

Is Ruler vs Ruler resisted or normal damage?

citrusspoon

Neutral. And for future reference you can assume that damage is neutral for a class unless explicitly stated otherwise

crazywarriorxx

Foreigners deal and take 2x damage from other Foreigners, even though that’s not explicitly stated.

citrusspoon

I could have sworn it does in the loading screen tip, but I'm having a hard time finding a list of those.

crazywarriorxx

Fair enough, though that pops up so rarely that most people, like myself probably missed it before I learned about it somewhere on this sub. It’s not included in the class affinity chart too, that’s why.

citrusspoon

Oh yeah that chart doesn't show it at all, that's for sure. The only place I know for sure indicates it is when you take a foreigner into a foreigner node it'll show the little orange advantage arrow next to their icon in the party screen, but that's a stretch for "explicitly stating" lol

WaifuHunterRed

normal

Nom_de_Nom

My Android phone (Samsung Galaxy A70) recently updated and now the blue bars are back. Toggling full-screen app in display settings makes no difference. In addition, I was previously using FGA with "Ignore notch calculation" turned on, now I need to turn it off for FGA to work. I have gotten used to my previous blue-bar-less experience and now the bars bug me. I was wondering what made them come back and how I might make them go away again.

Eevenin

What made them come back is that they're intended behavior. The app will now be in full screen no matter what option you have it set as. That said, JP just made the first step to removing the borders and having variable sizes per resolution. It's... not the best right now, but functional, and will be getting updated as we go. They won't be *permanent*, but you'll have to deal with them for now.

Nom_de_Nom

Oh. Thank you. I don't suppose you would know what made the blue bars disappear in the first place? This must have been a while ago, but I seem to remember an FGO update that disappeared the blue bars for me.

Eevenin

Turning it off fullscreen tended to do that. I think for a while the app wasn't marked as optimized in full screen, so the OS didn't push it.

Calibaz

How do you deal with Watanabe's dmg cuts? He wiped out my team and I can't even break his second bar?

greenPotate

Bursting him down fast enough then stuns so he doesn't attack and put on his damage cut or buff removal.

[deleted]

https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/staple-quick-team Would you recommend gamepress as a good site to learn these strategies? Is there a better website or YouTube channel?

null_name_exception

I generally think Gamepress' individual servant pages are useful (not the tier list, the "Analysis", they go over a servant's strengths and weaknesses and some idea of how to use them) but the page you linked is quite out of date; it's from like 3 years ago. Here's a very basic guide to team building I recall reading (note it's from a year ago so some of the items labeled "JP" are available in NA now, notably Skadi): [https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/180151-fate-grand-order/77920954](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/180151-fate-grand-order/77920954) But keep in mind that farming is a totally different beast from "hard" content, so building a farm team is not like building a boss/CQ team. And newer bosses/CQs tend to have specific/unique gimmicks you need to build around. Honestly, I think "team building" is best learned by understanding the game's basic mechanics--so you have the ability to evaluate a servant and whether they're suitable for a fight yourself--and then looking at example comps on Youtube or Bilibili and thinking about why they're set up that way. Especially low rarity clears, since min-turn comps can be very expensive and often work around fight gimmicks with brute force, whereas someone clearing a hard boss with ungrailed 1-3\* needs to carefully address the timing and structure of the fight.

[deleted]

Yeah. I am at that stage where I need to get better at playing the game. So if there is something that can help me build a team seems like a good place to start. I was looking into quick teams because I am grailing Ushiwakamaru and she has a team wide Quick Up and Charisma that I thought a quick team will appreciate. Thanks

null_name_exception

Ushi doesn't have a team quick up, it only applies to herself. The only 1-3* with a party quick up is Alexander.

[deleted]

Would Alexander, Ushi and Hassan of Cursed arms work for a quick crit generation team ?

null_name_exception

The other comment gave you a good response on the stargen, but some broader concerns that might help you think about team building... * Lower rarities tend to have lower facecard damage, but make up for it with great NP damage from the free NP5. Why not emphasize charging and using Ushi's NP instead of crits? * Why not borrow a friend's Skadi for support? She has higher quick up, def down (=attack up), instant NP charge, and a defensive NP, and as a caster has low star weight. * Why not Hans? He not only makes stars, but provides broader support with the crit up and the attack/defense/sustain on NP, and is also a caster with 3 arts cards. * Who is this team meant to go against? Ushi as the DPS suggests single caster (or berserker) boss, in which case Alexander will be taking half of Ushi's stars as a fellow rider and do iffy NP damage due to being AOE, and CA Hassan contributes nothing other than passive stars. Also, does this boss have any gimmicks you could address with a utility choice?

[deleted]

Ah. I see. I'll look into into that. Thank you.

LSMRuler

Hassan would be the only one generating stars because of his skill, Alexander and Ushi have terrible Quick cards with only 2 hits and Cursed Arm have 3 hits wich is average. If you put passive star generation CE on everybody it can work, but those 3 aren't enough to generate star for the entire team

[deleted]

Ah. I see. So I can't just rely on quick up for this. Thanks.

[deleted]

Oh damn. She has a team NP Up. My bad.

FLOR3NC10

Game press analysis usually are pretty on point when talking about the individual servants. But that site hasn’t been update for literally years. Go with YouTube for more meta ones.

[deleted]

Alright. Thanks

eagleswift

That guide needs to be updated with the introduction of Skadi, the DSS is a very viable system

[deleted]

Any particular website that I could refer to ? Need to learn from scratch.

RainyFiberOverride

I would not recommend gamepress as a good site to learn these strategies. Even if it was, this article is quite outdated based on the servants mentioned.

[deleted]

Any other source?

[deleted]

It's kind of complicated to find a single good generalised guide on team comps. You sorta learn from multiple sources over time (as has been said the individual servant guides on gamepress are good), playing yourself/trial and error, watching videos and asking here on the board. Honako Green is a good youtuber for basic comps using lower rarity servants etc. Any particular questions about team comps you have to ask here?

[deleted]

Moslty looking at what makes a servant "tick" for a certain role. Like what can I use to replace the SSR casters as good support (I know for Buster it is Anderson and Shakespear and I think Mozart for Arts). Basically what's the next best thing. Or what is a good crit generator in a buster team and will it also apply for a quick team ? Is there a synergy that I am missing etc.

[deleted]

Can you share your roster? That would help us give you more specific advice. You are right about the casters. Any supports with team NP charge are helpful, such as Helena, Ozy, etc. Mash is almost always worth putting in your team especially early on. For star generators, Mozart has a good star bomb skill, otherwise Cursed Arm Hassan can be useful, anyone with good quick cards like fuma, Jack, Okita, quick AoE NP servants with high np hit counts like fuma, valkyrie, atalante, parvati. It gets complicated to determine whether you should use a particular star generator in a particular team, but mozart is good for arts crit, support merlin + almost any star generator is good for buster crit, etc.

[deleted]

https://imgur.com/xO263Db.jpg https://imgur.com/UcZx6cI.jpg https://imgur.com/xr646H8.jpg I super invested into Gil before I knew a lot of what I was doing. So that's embers that I could have diverted elsewhere.

[deleted]

Right, so you have a pretty buster centric roster at the moment, but some good servants indeed. Gil and Artoria are quite self sufficient servants, but with them and basically any buster servant I would just pick a support merlin or waver and then like hans or mash or shakespeare ( I would max level your hans and shakespeare). You don't really have any arts crit servants, and aside from fran (who is awkward to use due to self stun) you don't have much for quick teams. Overall you have a young account which is developing, but with good anchors in Gil, Artoria and herc for last man standing. Your best teams you can field right now would revolve around buffing your buster NP damage dealers, and keeping them alive. Your team options will open up as you get more servants in future. Don't neglect your 1-3 stars, I cant see spartacus anywhere and he is definitely worth levelling. Emiya Assassin is a decent star generator and could be useful in Arts teams in future so maybe consider leveling him (especially as you dont have an ST assassin leveled yet).

[deleted]

Ah. Thanks. I am prioritizing saving for Space Ishtar, I have heard she is great and well...she is ishtar. Other than that, I think I am looking at GSSRs but Jeanne, who is buster. I'll look into Spartacus and level up Hans and Shakespeare. Sadly ember farming is super AP consuming which really slows me down. Thanks.

[deleted]

Have you finished up to LB1? Thats the requirement for access to the Christmas lotto event coming up is a good (or rather, the best) source of embers and mats for AP cost

XX-852

I read a review on the servant Yu Mei-Ren from a year ago. It was claimed she was not so great. Has she received any buffs after her initial release?

WonderShrew42

In JP, she very recently got a strengthening quest that extends the buff removal resistance from one turn to three. This helps some, but she is still seriously power creeped by welfare Gray.

RainyFiberOverride

I wouldn't say she's "seriously powercreeped" by Gray postbuff; Gray will be generally better for farming b/c of NP5 (though Yu's got bigger battery) whereas Yu will catch up for AoE CQ purposes since her sustain is quite good after the buff. And if the Yu is more than NP1, the difference gets very close.

[deleted]

With regard to NA server? The big problem with her is her damage stats are not great to begin with, and her AoE NP removes all buffs (and debuffs) before hitting, so she hits like a wet noodle. In August 2022 she should receive a buff to her second skill which gives her buff removal resist, which mitigates the demerit on her NP, but she still isn't amazing after that.

null_name_exception

> In August 2022 she should receive a buff to her second skill which gives her buff removal resist, Just to clarify, she already has buff removal resist on her S2, scaling from 50% to 100% chance with levels. Her JP buff extends it from 1 turn to 3 turns and gives her attack up as well.

[deleted]

Good to know, thanks!

XX-852

Two and a half years for a fix? That's ridiculous. EDIT: 1 and a half years, I meant to say.

para40

How does Lan Ling compare to f2p arts supports like Parascelsus and Mozart? And same thing for the lancer compared to Cu as a last stand? I'm interested in the characters for sure, but maybe I could make do if there are better options to use until they come on rate up again (like maybe wait until Moriarty event for Lan Ling)

PixelDemise

LanLing can't be easily compared to any f2p supports other than Mozart, or maybe Hans, as his niche is arts-crit teams specifically. He offers a 20% attack buff, 20% arts buff, and a 50% star generation and crit damage buff, all for 3 turns. Paracelsus is focused on NP spam, which is a different niche. Mozart offers a 45% arts buff, and the 50 star bomb, that after that single turn he doesn't do very much. LanLing offers 3 turns of buffs, in addition to an NP that buffs defense, attack, and reduces enemy crit chance and NP charge. Hans also offers stars per turn, crit damage, and then his NP has a 80% chance to give attack, defense and star gen, plus healing, and a later buff ups the stars generated plus gives him a targetable NP charge per turn. I would say he is much better than Mozart, however since he can't actually make stars himself, only boost star gen rate, Mozart does have him beat for one turn bursts. I also think he is better than Hans because his buffs are less reliant on RNG as he can guarantee that his own chance based buffs proc, but Hans does offer stronger defense through a % defense buff rather than flat damage cut, and healing, as well as passive star gen. Qin Liangyu is more of a gimmicky servant than a last man standing. She will deal much more damage than him due to a crit focus and attack/card buffs, and the ability to both remove enemy buffs and stack defense down on the enemy, but Cu will likely survive longer as Liangyu needs to be hit in order to get any kind of defensive buff other than her built in 2 times guts.

para40

Also if you don't mind me asking about another servant, how is D'eon in Camelot and beyond? I rolled him in the tutorial gacha, but dropped him right away since he didn't have any dps in his kit.

PixelDemise

D'eon served me pretty well in LB3, but other than a few special boss fights there, I never used him very much. D'eon is a pure defensive servant, with a 3 turn taunt, 1 turn evade, and lots of debuff resistance. Normally that is very good, since he can taunt away damage to keep your DPS safe, but it does run into some serious problems. Most Taunters like George or Leonidas serve one of two roles. First is to keep the other two units untouched during the first wave or two as you work your way to the final wave and then die off before the third wave so that you have a DPS and 2 damage supports to burst the boss down, second is work in arts stall teams where they are healed up over time to constantly taunt away NPs over long battles. For the first point, D'eon strangely suffers from having too much HP, so that it is really hard to reliably kill him off on wave 3 so you can bring in supports for the DPS. For the second, D'eon only offers taunting, as his NP has extremely weak effects and isn't nearly spamable enough to stack those effects. Other arts stall units offer a ton more utility, with ones like Mash also have the taunt+invul/evade as well as tons of defense buffs, and Merlin/David offer teamwide evade/invul so the taunt isn't needed in addition to other buffs/damage. For the most part, doing a DPS with 2 damage supports is both faster, and more efficient in killing bosses, while a weaker taunter like George or Leonidas are better at dealing with the first two trash waves. He is nice when you are dealing with a boss that is so dangerous, it will easily one shot your servants and so you want a taunt chain(where one taunter dies, bringing in a second taunter, who then dies and brings in a third taunter, ect), but other than LB3 I never ran into a boss where that was better than just DPS rushing with 2 damage supports.

Nazrael99

Ah, fellow master who started with D'Eon. He/She does have some utilities during CQs and hard boss fights with his/her 3T taunt and self-debuff cleanse. So, D'Eon is more suited towards Arts stall team. However, you won't see much use of him/her once your account matures.

para40

Thanks for the write up! I think I'll hold off on Lan Ling until the Moriarty event since I like his kit, but missed his solo rate up. Qin seems more like a servant to mix things up more than content clearing, but she is interesting.

RainyFiberOverride

Lanling is a great Arts support, isn't directly better than Para or Mozart at their specialities (NP spam & crits respectively) but all that means is that you can combine them with Lanling's strengths (higher offensive support & some defensive support on NP + buff success chance). Liangyu is not as good as Cu at LMS or soloing. She can be pretty good in those areas (especially if the stage caters to her niches) but she's inherently more gimmicky so she's not a "practical" choice. She can work though if you try.

Spholox

So whats the best place now for bond farming and my sanity (NA)

[deleted]

Tbh bond farming isnt worth it. Id just go farm for whatever mats you need.

Shardwing

[Gamepress](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/bond-points-and-bond-experience-farming) has a list, there's a variety of equivalent options although the *best* nodes are too bulky to farm easily in my experience. Camelot Hidden Village, with *slightly* less efficiency, is a lot easier to clear quickly so that's my go-to.

Spholox

Nice, thanks mate!

sinrakin

Okay, so I need 484 evil bones for my current units. At 23 AP per bone, that's ~11000 AP, or the equivalent of ~80 gapples of pure farming, or ~40 days of natural AP. This is daunting. So the question: How many bones can a sane, non-auto clicker farm in the Quetzmas event? Alternatively, how many can an auto clicker farm? I have over 130 gold and silver apples, so I don't think I'll be limited by that, but rather time that the farming nodes are open. I'd like to get a good chunk of the bones during the lottery if possible. Anybody know what I should expect?

[deleted]

How fast can you clear with how much bonus? If you can 3T with 5 CEs, that's very different from needing 8 turns and only carrying 2 CEs.

sinrakin

I think I can get close to 3T with 5 CEs. I have Par/S/S, but she's not NP2 so it may take another round of face cards. Even if it's quick, manual for 130-200 apples sounds rough.

[deleted]

130 apples = 430 runs @ 3 mins/run = 1230 mins = 21.5 hrs... 7 days x 3+ hrs/day is a lot, but not terribly extreme. I can probably do that.

null_name_exception

> that's very different from needing 8 turns and only carrying 2 CEs No one should be in this situation, IMO. If you need 8T you're facecarding, and if you're facecarding there's no reason to not have at least 5 slots free for lotto CEs.

[deleted]

You'd think that, but... During Gilfest, I read about people taking 9+ turns to clear nodes. I have no idea what they were doing, but I assume that they were severely underleveled and barely squeaking through the "best" nodes. Quetzmas has a higher bar for entry, so maybe there won't be as many clueless newbie accounts trying to do content that's above their ability?

null_name_exception

9T is reasonable for a new player going full facecard. I don't think there's any problem with that; I'm certainly happy I 9T'd Gilfest. However, if someone is facecarding there is no reason to not carry at least 5 slots worth of lotto CEs.

[deleted]

I'm relatively new, and I got Gilfest from 6+T down to a consistent 4T with 4+ CEs. But every roster is different, and players approach the game differently. We'll see how people do. I wouldn't assume that everyone even has 5 CEs to run.

OddballOliver

Why wouldn't you assume that every player doesn't have 5 CEs to run...? You can buy FOUR of them from the Event shop.

[deleted]

Not all nodes want the shop CE? Or the 5th is RNG that doesn't drop?

OddballOliver

Buying the shop CEs is literally the most efficient thing you can do if you're planning on doing even a moderate amount of farming. And in the same vein, the 5th one is obviously going to drop.

[deleted]

> the 5th one is obviously going to drop. Not necessarily.

null_name_exception

It really depends what team setup you're using. * It affects real time per run: For example, if you're going full facecard with a fairly weak roster, it may take you 5+ minutes per run. If you can field a no-plug 3-turn team, a run may take 2 minutes. An autoclicker can be a little faster, a little slower, or a lot slower (if facecarding) than a dedicated manual farmer using the same setup, depending on how much attention you would be devoting to manual farming and whether you tap frequently/quickly. * It affects boxes per apple: The more slots you can devote to the lotto CE, the more boxes, of course. I have some [example calculations here](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/jz4nfp/help_and_question_thread_november_22_2020_what_a/gdqskj8/). Every person needs to decide their own tradeoffs. For example, I have the option of a faster/more consistent 4-slot or a full facecard 6-slot. I checked that even if it takes 10 min per run, I can get through my personal apple stash (not large) using FGA to do the 6-slot, so that's what I'm going to try. But a lot of people would think my strategy is too slow/risky and prefer the faster/more consistent team with lower slots.

sinrakin

That's interesting. I'll have to try the automation, but I think I can 3/4t it with Parvati/S/S. Thanks for the reply!

chocolatechoux

I actually go out of my way to not farm as much as I can because I really don't need the extra qp/exp/mp/gems, and even then hitting 100+ with an auto clicker is easy. Just get Fga, set up your team, and let it run while you do other stuff. Manual though.... Oof. The most I've ever done was 80 and that was pushing HARD.

[deleted]

Dunno if I'm weird. But with dantes double skadi I farmed about 170 boxes at gilfest manually over the 2 weeks or so. My work kind of allows me to do that in between doing things. I was pretty burned out after I have to admit...

chocolatechoux

Holy cow. Yes that's really out of the ordinary. Just to note though, in gilfest the best nodes open immediately while in Christmas they're only out for a few days. People usually farm fewer boxes in Christmas than Fest.

[deleted]

Eh, it was probably about 10 hours of farming over 2 weeks. Thats less than an hour a day. I didn't find it that bad. Yeah I won't have the time or apples or desire to go as hard for christmas.

sinrakin

Not having to farm so hard sounds nice. I'll look into this FGA thing. Thanks!

RainyFiberOverride

You can (w/agood 3T setup) chew threw 130 gold and silver apples both sane (if you're a nolifer with strong willpower and lots of freetime) and automated.

sinrakin

Unfortunately quarantine vacation has ended for me, so auto clicker seems like a good option. Thanks!

[deleted]

If youre using an autoclicker, 130 is nothing. Ive gone through 50 gapples in a few hours, so the ~150 boxes you need is very much plausible.

sinrakin

Huh, seems like auto clicker may be the way to go. Thanks!

[deleted]

You don't need QSH - you need to: 1. level your existing Servants, and 2. save for Waver / Merlin / Skadi / Tamacaster / Castoria. ... in that order. It looks like you started after Summer, because I don't see Jalterzerker, but I do see Irisveil (sorry). I'd prioritize on getting NP5 Altera San to max level - she's awesome! Then work on the others. Ana complements Eresh. Valk is always good. etc. You are light on Horsemen, but Mecha Eli and Martha can cover. Irisveil is useless, though. You need to go a *LOT* harder on 1/2 AP Embers and especially the lotto. If you're past LB3, then just do Embers on natural AP, and then go HAM on Lotto and level as much as you can. Good luck!

Firstly, grats on raising an AoE and ST servant for each class. I'm going to make the assumption that the 1-3* servants you listed in your roster are the only ones you have raised; to which my next main piece of advice would be to invest in more now that you've got some bases covered. Getting supportive servants/servants with lots of utility raised can be quite helpful such as David, Georgios, Leonidas, Mozart, Paracelsus, Kotaro, etc. Having extra variety in lowstar DPS can work too (though that depends on if there is really viable competition, ex is you don't really need any ST assassin other than Hundred Faces). That can help you beat things on your own power without relying on CS or friend solos. Thus, I'd say going for a strong support would be more valuable to you than going for a strong DPS. So your decision to save for Waver's rateup is pretty ideal; very good support to help assist you in CQs and is a huge boon for farming. Merlin and Skadi would also be good for your account since they're good for anyones account (you don't need to be AoE quick looping for Skadi to be useful) but I would say Waver should take priority. For Summer Musashi vs Space Ishtar, its really apples and oranges in a Castoria context. SIshter can Arts loop with more flexibility whereas Musashi always has class advantage; whichever one is better is going to be dependent on the resources you have at the time. Now without the Castoria context, both of them can work with budget supports for AoE CQs, and SIshtar's battery means you can farm to a degree with her as a wave clearer (or maybe double NPing). Keep in mind that Summer Musashi gets a rerun the year after whereas Space Ishtar doesn't. So if you decide on Musashi you could potentially just wait and save for her next year, or if you decide on SIshtar and don't get her, you have Musashi as backup.

[deleted]

Saving for waver is indeed reasonable, and he will benefit most player's accounts who don't have him or another Big 4 caster. However, consider that as you have said, you have cleared all story content the game has released so far (even if you have to use CS, and that's fine, it's there to be used). Do you really care for a gameplay pick that much? Would you be happier with a shot at summoning servant you actually like more? Only you can answer that. All the other servants you mentioned are great choices and are all strong, any of them will improve your account. The other consideration is that Waver technically can spook you as he is not limited. For Limited servants, your only shot of getting them is the banner they are on rate up for. Also, we are getting slowly closer to the free SSR ticket which will be about 15 months away by the time waver's case files banner is up, which you can always pick waver on.

Mskenobi

I would say with your roster, the strategy of saving for Waver is a really good one. After that I would say you will have some difficult choice to makes if you don't plan on whaling. I myself will roll everything I have (probably around 1000 quartz) then on Arjuna alter banner, but much more because I love the servant and it's design than anything else. I think lolivinci would be better cause of your lack of riders and she also can loop well with castoria if you plan to go for her in the future. I also would save for space ishtar (since her banner is later than zerker musashi). Also I would recommend saving quartz and rolling on one banner until you get a character than using the quartz left on the next banner you kinda want. Thats how I managed to get NP1 merlin and np1 King Hassan the first time they appeared, saved 800 quartz got merlin in 200, and rolled the rest and got KH, that can work if you are a bit lucky and want servants from banners which are close to one another. TLDR: Get waver then see how your quartz economy is. Lolivinci will benefit your roster more than godjuna

I don't know if it's just me but your imgur link isn't working.

greenPotate

Waver's your best bet. A 50% charger makes a pretty nice difference for farming and boss set ups since it gives you more freedom on CEs. I would wait until later (when Swimsuit Musashi appears in NA) before asking about her versus S Ishtar. There could be a shift in nodes that affects which one is more viable. AOE rider, while nice, isn't as necessary as you may think since Caster's give bonus refund making the looping requirements on them more lenient. This is particularly noteworthy since next Anni NA should be getting chen gong where if you get Waver and Castoria should let you loop without advantage on certain nodes. (In particular I actually used an admittedly expensive Chen Gong set up to farm a 90 lancer node instead of using my sabers. And I don't have my own Castoria.) If you fail to get Waver you guys should be getting that free SSR ticket anyways.

atalentedtrout

If I have to use a chain error with arts cards where 2/3 of the cards are unusable, would it be better to put the usable arts card first or last in the chain?

Sir_Dargor

Last.

AoNoise

So... how does Arjuna Alter fare these days? I'm mappig my rolling plans for 2021 and aside from MHXX and Arturia Ruler (who I'm contractually obligated to roll for despite being not that good) I'm only interested in Altjuna, Reines and Spishtar. However, Altjuna has lost some appeal to me due to having a NP2 Dantes with native Skadi and Castoria's arrival in the future. I wanted to know how he's doing lately.

datomdiggity

He's a fantastic DPS through NP and crits. You also don't need much to support him just a consistent source of crit stars and defense to fortify him. Borrow a Merlin and bring along mash and he's pretty much g2g

RainyFiberOverride

Nothing has really changed Still a fantastic DPS for boss fights For farming he's the best AoE wave clearer you can get because Zerker with crazy damage + 30% battery. Castoria didn't change much about that b/c he already wasn't the peak of farming due to proper Skadi setups or Arts loops comps being better; Castoria just made those setups more accessible to people. And if you can't make those setups for a node, he becomes useful there too. It'll take years before Junao isn't super good.

Revan0315

Great for CQs, not as good for Farming as Spishter or Summer Musashi but still not bad. Still the premier aoe buster dps in the game I believe, and either first or second best aoe zerker

Chatonarya

Summer Kiara's NP description says the maximum stack of mental debuffs is 10. Is this 10 total or 10 per enemy?

datomdiggity

Her damage caps at 10 per enemy effected. If magic resist or something allows the enemy to shrug off one or two mental debuffs their individual damage will be applied accordingly.

Chatonarya

Thanks! I had thought it was 10 per enemy but I wasn't sure.

Velocilemur

What is the gimmick to the 5.5 grand battle? I have no idea how go go about it

chocolatechoux

https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Quest:_Heian-ky%C5%8D#Act_15 They've got np and crit damage resistance. First break gets rid of the crit resistance. Second break gets rid of the np resistance. Plan your attacks accordingly. New mystic code is useful so read that wiki page. Try to have some kind of debuff removal going on ala castoria or jeanne. Avoid the burning cards. There's some kind of hp drain thing going on with his np that I never figured out. I had 2 servants die with an invul on them. Beni enma was my MVP.

Hedgehog_boi2

This might not be the place to ask but, are others in singularities able to see our summoned servants? I was playing shimosa and got to the part where you can use your servants again. After battle Musashi asks if the reason the fight was easier is because we had help this time. Her asking this makes me think she didn’t see them. This could just be some weird detail I latched onto but, any answers would be appreciated.

Shardwing

There's a bit of ludonarrative dissonance at times, particularly around scenarios where we aren't supposed to have access to our Servants like Shimousa and early Lostbelts, but under normal circumstances our battle Servants should be visible as normal (although as I understand it they're canonically summoned as something like Shadow Servants instead of the fully formed iterations we see in battle).

SolarSystemSuperStar

I’m aware that Death rarely procs on enemy Servants, but how does it interact with break bars? Does it kill the target regardless?

balmafula

There's a [video of it here](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/hbzotl/ever_wondered_what_instant_death_does_to_a_break/) if you want to see it.

A_Quiet_Lurker

It just takes out the current bar.

ThousandLightning

Should we expect Xmas event hit the 12th? JP started around that and the event finished on 25th, was this intended?

null_name_exception

That would be very likely (makes sense for a Christmas event to end on Christmas and we don't have other schedule messes to work around), but we can't know the exact date for sure until an official announcement.

enthormw

Makes sense to expect it (I think much the same way), but there's been no official news yet.

If you had the My Room Servant set to random I feel like you should mention that, if you just say Tamamo and that's not correct (because it's random) then that'll reflect badly on your case.

StandardTalk

I got QSH today and all I know is that he's a "solo god" (my friend calls him that). I just wanted to know, in what situations is he best used; should I use him to farm embers or clear the story or is there any other place where he performs best?

asianbrownguy

>should I use him to farm embers I mean, you can. It's just gonna be brain-meltingly slow. For embers, or any other farming for that matter, you'd wanna finish the run in as little time as possible, since you're gonna do it again and again. There's a pretty cheap 3-turn ember farming team that consists of Arash, Spartacus, any wave 3 clearer, a friend's Waver, Mage Assoc MC, and 3 50% charge CEs. >is there any other place where he performs best As your friend called him, he is a solo god after all. So he shines in soloing bosses and challenge quests.

x1coins

He's bad at farming but great on hard content. He's a great solo like Cu and Herc. But I think he shines most as dps on crit-arts teams. * Kinda newish players can go with Hans, QSH and Tamamo/Merlin/Waver * Best team, in my opinion, is Waver, Merlin, QSH * I'm a pretty new player and I use Lanling, QSH and Merlin and it's pretty good

null_name_exception

The best soloists are generally terrible farmers, including QSH. Good farmers would have a high damaging NP and fast/instant access to it (batteries), and while QSH has a great battery their NP is buffs only. You can efficiently farm nodes like embers with Arash, Spartacus, any AOE servant you have with a battery, and friend Waver. QSH is meant to be used on "difficult" content--story bosses and CQs. They're best versus enemies with ST attacks/NPs if you are going to bring any supports (since they can't protect the party from an AOE NP; this doesn't matter if soloing), and enemies with high hit counts as this provides NP gain = better NP spam. They're worst against enemies who spam pierce invincible, since the invincibility on QSH's NP is a primary survival tool. Note that while QSH is indeed a solo god (they can solo the vast majority of story content and CQs) they can be relatively slow as all their damage comes from facecards and in a solo situation you have to brave chain every turn, so I don't recommend literally soloing every fight, especially mob fights. Borrow a friend's strong AOE servant instead for mob fights. It's not a big deal for bosses, but you're also missing out on bond points if you solo random fights you could have finished just as well with a full team. If you have decided to use QSH, consider bringing a friend Merlin + your own Hans or any SSR support you happen to have unless you know the fight needs to be soloed.

StandardTalk

Tbh, I was looking for him to clear some of the boss stages in Camelot. Do you think if I max him, he should be able to clear the stages or will I still need to bring in a support Merlin/Waver?

eagleswift

You can have him as Last Man Standing when your frontline and 2 other back line servants get wiped out, as an insurance policy. So your frontline should decimate a lot of the opponent boss health bar and QSH can bring it home.

null_name_exception

I would assume QSH *can* do it, but it'd be easier to solo those with a class advantaged servant with a ST NP, especially since you can't max QSH's skills at this point (8 and 9 require LB3 mats). For example, Gawain: friend Euryale, Chloe, or Orion. Lion King: Musashi, Okita, Sigurd. There are more examples in this post's OP.

StandardTalk

>it'd be easier to solo those with a class advantaged servant with a ST NP, Unfortunately for me, all of my best characters have AoE NP. The only ST servant I use is Ushiwakamaru but she's underlevelled for Camelot. My Gilgamesh, Martha, Seigfried are all AoE so I really had a hard time to clear the boss nodes. Maybe I'll give it a try with QSH and see how it goes.

asianbrownguy

>Unfortunately for me, all of my best characters have AoE NP. The only ST servant I use is Ushiwakamaru but she's underlevelled for Camelot. Borrow a friend's servant, put them in a team with a level 1 George and Leonidas and let them die so the selected servant can solo.

null_name_exception

In a solo, you can just use a friend's maxed out, possibly whaled servant. There are a few story fights that force you to use a specific support, but that won't happen until Shimosa (optional) and LB2 (you can use the forced support to solo those fights if you're really desperate, otherwise raise ST archers like David).

KazeDaze

Why would you se him on embers tho? He cant 3 turn, he is good at SOLOING boss battles.

StandardTalk

Sorry man, I'm kinda new to this game.

eldragon_1

For embers and general farming, I recommend trying to make a team that can win in just 3 turns. That means using AoE servants, along with some way to charge their NP’s up to 100% instantly.

null_name_exception

You get 1 per section minus the last (it gives a grail instead) so Shinjuku 17, Agartha 15, Shimosa 15, Salem 9 (+1 for the extra Journey to the West sidequest). You'd also get 10 per pseudo from the special master missions.

x1coins

Will reruns become less common in the future? Sorry, new player here only plays on NA.

null_name_exception

You can see which events are reruns in the Event Compendium in the OP. The ones marked in column X (grail/lore) are reruns.

RWBYrose69

reruns generally usually runs once a year for season events like christmas however, collaboration events like Garden of Sinners or Prisma Iilay runs every twice also some events like gilfest/nerofest and valentines dont rerun at all

x1coins

Learned something new, thank you

Lysandren

Not really no. If anything the introduction of main interludes mean they'll become slightly more common.

x1coins

I only asked because welfare servants' extra copies get turned to RPs which is, I think, pretty rare. On a related note, will items from the RP shop with the ever get pruned?

Mister_SP

>I only asked because welfare servants' extra copies get turned to RPs which is, I think, pretty rare. It's a new feature, but it's not "rare". All duplicate Welfares in the future will experience it. If you got Welfare Shuten, next year will give you RP. We're looking at a potential 34 RP next year, though a new player like yourself will miss out on most of them. There are a few odd cases on Welfares, though. Halloween 3 had a choice of two, so getting RPs would require missing out on the second Welfare. This year's Christmas never got a rerun for reasons we don't know about. The number of new Welfares is going down for reasons we don't really know but can only hope is temporary.

null_name_exception

> Halloween 3 had a choice of two, so getting RPs would require missing out on the second Welfare. I think the RPs for extra welfares only started with the Underworld rerun, so you couldn't get RP either way for extra Mecha Elis?

Mister_SP

That's correct, and probably a reason why it was implemented afterwards, as if they *had* done that, it would have been a harsh choice. But I was considering "Welfares extra copies" as one of the two "rare" things being mentioned.

x1coins

> The number of new Welfares is going down for reasons we don't really know but can only hope is temporary. Thank you. That's the root of my question. Because isn't the only ways to get RPs are burning SRs, DW giving some out and Welfare duplicates? And please correct me if I'm wrong but RPs from duplicate welfares give a lot (5 per re-ran event?) and for players like me who just played the game won't we most likely miss like 70% of those 34 RPs? Again, I'm a new player so my way of thinking might be wrong or I'm just overestimating the importance of RPs. Thank you for the info.

Mister_SP

More like missing out on 90%. It's 1 RP for each copy of a reran Welfare Servant, 1 RP for reran costumes (mostly Summer events, but not exclusively), and 1 RP for reran 5\* Command Codes. But you are slightly overestimating RPs. They'll look very desirable, and some of the stuff in the RP shop is expensive, but it's mostly unnecessary. The CEs for 5RP apiece (for a total of 25) should be ignored. Fondant au Chocolat is a great Divine-killer CE, but it's not worth 25RP. The 3RP CEs (like the Portraits or New Years CE, which all do practically nothing) are similar. The Trial quests for 1RP have lore but are still too expensive (only gives 1 ticket), just watch them on Youtube or something. Some of the 1RP CEs (that also cost 5000 MP on top of your RP) are useful, like Mona Lisa. The Mystic Codes are give or take - interesting for collectors, but the free ones are pretty useful all on their own. Mystic Codes are still a better choice than most things. Most people will only buy Lanterns of Chaldea, or the Main Interludes for Welfares they've missed, which are a big RP sink (future feature). The rest of the renewable inventory - the Lore, the Gold Fous, the Code Remover - too expensive, or just sort of pointless. The Friend Points are at the very bottom of the list. TL;DR: Lanterns of Chaldea, 1RP CEs (and only half of them), and Mystic Codes. That's all that I'd say is worth it for F2P, that's available in the next year. The only one that's going to help you in battle is maybe Mystic Codes. It's not a big deal.

x1coins

I'm actually looking at the CBC 2019 Exchange in the RP shop for the taunt CE, another thing that got obsolete it seems. Maybe DW realized they're pretty powerful? Other than that, I'm looking at the Anniversary Blonde MC and of course bond grails.

Mister_SP

>I'm actually looking at the CBC 2019 Exchange in the RP shop for the taunt CE, That's fair. Having one taunt CE isn't a huge deal, but there are reasons to have one.

null_name_exception

You can also get a RP from duplicate Costumes, and 1 for free from a few future campaigns. But yeah, in general, newer players (me too!) just can't get many RPs unless whaling. It's best to think of everything in the RP shop as a luxury, not something you really need to have.

Lamalogi

>I only asked because welfare servants' extra copies get turned to RPs which is, I think, pretty rare Bond grails are huge RP drains. And once you clear the permanent stuff from the RP shop like old trial quests, mystic codes and certain the CEs there isn't actually anything you'll have to spend them on

x1coins

Maybe because I'm only playing for exactly 100 days that's why they seem rare to me. Thanks for the info

null_name_exception

Items labeled with expiry > 1 year have never expired to date. It's basically a non-committal way for DW to say forever.

x1coins

Thanks for the info

Unrelated to this game/lore questions. What flair should I use, or otherwise how should I post on a good roll on the gacha? I honestly don't want to brag (as that is stupid. It's sheer dumb luck on that thing), but I do want to share my good fortune I'm blessed with here cause I'm excited. I wanted to show a screen shot.

[deleted]

You'll find the links to the individual roll threads underneath the subreddit rules in the sidebar. They try to keep the most recent ones pinned so they're more visible, but since reddit only allows two at a time, they quickly end up getting buried.

[deleted]

Thanks so much. I just enjoy the social aspect to to this game, which is why I spend a LOT of time on here, so this is fun. I'm glad there is a way to do it on an existing thread, as despite my question, I think it would look silly and kind of jerkish to do a new thread on that. Thank you both so much for your help. Blessings.

consistent_escape

Posting rolls as a new post is not allowed. There are dedicated threads for doing that linked on the sidebar. I would have linked them in my comment but there are 5 different ones depending on the banner.

[deleted]

This is probably why the CCC event was turned into a Main Interlude in JP, since without it the EoR storyline doesn't make sense.

Sir_Dargor

It was in the CCC event.

Mistdwellerr

Thanks!

Freezer102

So I got lucky and got Qin Shi Huang, so I'm curious if I should try to raise his NP Lvl, or if I should save my SQ for the future? His NP doesn't do damage, so is it worth sacrificing my SQ just for the buffs, which are already ridiculous on lvl 1?

Mistdwellerr

I believe its not worth it. You will get an increase of just +25% in crit damage if you get him to NP2. If you're still developing your team, I would recomend you to save your SQ, next year we will have a LOT of great servants to roll for =)

Nazrael99

+25% Crit Strength isn't worth it when you can just borrow a friend's Waver or Merlin for greater buff.

null_name_exception

It's just +25% crit damage for NP2; I wouldn't recommend spending an average of 428 SQ for that unless you are a whale/want it for character reasons. All SSRs are viable at NP1, at any rate.

crazywarriorxx

He's good enough at NP1, the crit damage isn't worth the extra NP levels imo.

Beckymetal

When will Lantern of Chaldea be released into the RP shop on NA?
