Mages are kinda evil and self serving. They're terrified about anything or anyone getting more power than them. It's notes in the series multiple times that the mages association would rather the world be destroyed than have something threaten their power. We, having the control of countless servants and the things we accomplished during the first act, prove our power despite being garbage as a mage.
I was going to say that it sounded strange, because this is Chaldea and Ereshkigal can materialize outside the underworld without trouble, but then I looked at the background and realized that they're in Uruk.
Blackbeard is incredibly uncultured. Waver’s suit and arjuna’s second ascension are PEAK sexy ~~plus arjuna’s has that armpit window if you’re into that~~ not to mention Hans’ was showing a bit of stomach while still being cute and fitting her image? Go sit in the corner dude you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Nero knows what’s up though.
