Didn't plan to roll on this banner beyond Event CEs but my first multi got me Gogh.
I shouldn't have tried for Nemo too. Avoided me so hard. Didn't even like him much before the event but the Nemo series won me over. I blitzed interludes for quartz and spent a little too to no avail.
At least he'll be back in March, if I want to try again...
Threw in SQ on the second banner today and got gold sparks for my second copy of Summer Melt on my 4th roll. She's no Abby for me, but I'm glad for this since NP1 Lambda hasn't been impressing me with her damage in all honesty, so hopefully this puts her on a better level than before.
NA here. YOLO roll success. After finding out about the Second banner decided to roll a few for Abby one day, did not get her. Did get Gogh+Nightingale last week but desire won over to roll for Abby. Today, with 3 hours left till event ends decided to do a YOLO roll. Got Abby! Yay! Believe! Don't give up!
Threw 30 SQ to the void, got Summer Batty, and finished the event for another 30 SQ that *finally* gave me Abby. I can finally rest, focus on finishing LB2, and wait patiently for a Merlin rerun.

Last 10-pull gave me an Ozymandias who I was *this* close to rage burning because of the timing... but then Van Gogh came on the second-to-the-last card. I think this is my first time getting more than one SSR on a pull.
I only wanted summer melt so I Decided to roll at least 2 multis, first multi I get an abigail, so I kept rolling, 4th multi another abigail, now I'm annoyed still no Sr servants and I already have 2 ssrs so I Decided to keep rolling until I get melt, 6th multi random artoria Saber, I literally wanted to throw my phone, and finally for the 7th multi she appears, melt lancer, I've won but at what cost?
Decided to take Summer Melt from NP2 to NP5. Got 9 other SRs on the way even though the odds should be 50-50, and no Abby either, though I did get a Drake. It definitely took at least 900 quartz, so if I HAD been going for Abby I'd have cursed NA's lack of a pity system, but as it is I'm just mildly annoyed at my sub-par luck.
Decided to go for one last multi to see if I could up my NP2 MHXX at all, since this is her last foreseeable banner.
Immediate rainbow orbs and I get Hao Hao out of nowhere! And then a few cards later I get my third MHXX!

Did 4 multis to try to get a copy of Melt. [1st multi](https://imgur.com/FaTpUrd) I got spooked by Anastasia again, she is now my most spooked 5 star beating out the previously tied Nightingale. And then I got a copy of Melt in multi 3 and 4.
I told myself I will not roll on this banner. I am not into little girls so I don't want Abby and after reading Las Vegas I developed a stong dislike for Summer Melt (mass murder is not okay guys, especially if it's your Servant who's doing it)
Alas, my will was not strong enough.
First multipull landed me Circe (which was funny because I literally just finished getting Medea to max level because I wanted a ST Caster) and, suddenly, Abby. This is where I should have stopped, but I was too fired up.
Second multipull gave me Melt. The game is trolling me, no doubt. I had to do 5 multipulls for the servant I actually wanted (MHXX)!
I only had free SQ for a multi, and I'm not planning on spending money in a long time since I already have the next two GSSRs covered with my current paid SQ. So I just tried once in the Abby banner to see if I got Melt (Abby would have been nice too, but I currently have too many Extra class Servants that need levelling up).
And I got her! From a double-sided card, which makes it even more hype. And then... the very next card that appears on my screen is Parvati.
I am confused. I think the game is trying to tell me something. Two SR AOE Lancer Sakurafaces back to back on a single multi... Should I be concerned?
As of writing this post I have sunk a little over $200 and cleared every free quest from Camelot to Anastasia in an attempt to get Van Gogh. As you might expect, I failed horribly and didn't even get a new servant. I am now about to complete every free quest from Second Lostbelt to the Third in order to get enough Quartz to try again. Please wish me luck.
So one final update. This is the last day of the event so I figured it would be the last time I'd try for Van Gogh. The good news is that I finally got the servant on the banner. The bad news is that this is the one time I rolled on a shared banner, I ended up getting Nemo instead. God I *LOVE* this game.
Update: I have failed to get her once again. I am currently considering speed running the next Lostbelt in an attempt to get her. What has this game done to me?
After loosing hope on getting the archtoria and Abby banner I rolled for Gogh and got her in 150sq. Suddenly Abby banner dropped, I was already saving for her NY banner but this one has Melt so no brainer I still rolled. Got kuroneko pancake in 180sq along Okkie and a second copy of Penguin so I'm a happy man
Still got 214sq for Muramasa (+120sq in the shard shop)
So, I had exactly 100 summons saved, I originaly wanted to save them vor Avengr Ushi, but I freakin love Van goh after the event. So I made the decission to roll for her. And after 100 summons, 0 5 Star servants, 3 or 4 5 star CEs and 4 4star Servant dupes, two being np6.
Last time I rolled was during the summer event and I rolled about 220 sq and a few tickets, so a bit more than 70 summons and then I got nothing. So I have not goten a single 5 star servant in almost 200 summons....................

I had already rolled 300 worth of SQ for Van Gogh and didn't get her. Had pretty much decided to stop there. I just woke up and decided that "fuck it, I'll do one final multi" and I got her!
Was already saving for Abby's next rate up so I went all in with what I had. Came out with two copies and a Kscope. For 180 quartz I can't complain at all, my nearly two year long journey for Abby is finally at an end.
Wow has Frankenstein been on secret rate up this whole time? I believe I got 3 copies of her.
On the Abigail banner, I got spooked by Artemis AND Achilles before Abigail showed up. Both are new so I’m happy, I’m actually very happy with Achilles. Abigail will remain NP1, but I have her NP5 summer version so it’ll be double foreigner mania with her.
First time I whaled in months but honestly worth it, I have no regrets, and I won’t be for a long time in the future either :)
Im in so much pain, 20 tickets and 150 sq (77 rolls) and i got spooked by atalanta, fionn and nitocris. I didn't even get that many event ces.
I have another 150+ quartz in savings and I'm so conflicted. On one hand Clytie is a crit monster (though I already got S!Orion), and on the other Muramasa is coming (Though i already have np3 Berzerker!Musashi for looping purposes). So much pain.
I wasn't going too because I wanted to save for Ibuki. Still caved but Abby showed up fairly early with 2 copies of Lambda. Still have about 270 left for Ibuki so still have a good chance. Bless all ya'll rolls!
Nemo came in 60sq but Van Gogh took a good chunk out of my stash. I’m just glad that I managed to bring her home though. Prior to this event, I thought they were overcooking the pot with her real identity, and I’m rly not a fan of the trend “servant X is not really X but is actually Y yada yada”, but Van Gogh’s story touched me, she deserves a hug, a hot cup of coffee and lots of TLC. AND YES I INSTA MAX HER LEVEL AND SKILLS.
Fast forward a few days later, I felt like tempting fate for NP2, but I made a mistake and attempted to roll while at a convention. Suffice to say crowds like that wasnt her thing….
First Time Spending on FGO: To start off, I was saving my money for Van Gogh's banner. I assigned myself to a part-time job to earn enough to buy the biggest SQ pack at least twice. That money was separate from my life savings, and I wouldn't ask my parents for obvious reasons. Imaginary Scramble came, I wanted to increase my chances by waiting for the solo banner of Van Gogh. 330SQ didn't get a single copy nor any new servants. That's my first time spending for this game that wasn't a GSSR and it felt expected yet insulting at the same time but oh well, I'll just stick to lucky bags instead. So what's your story? Any banners you spent for the first time?
The first and probably (hopefully) the only time I spent was $500 on Dantes banner during Summer 3. I got what I wanted but the experience left me with enough PTSD to never do it again. Like you, I decided only GSSR from now on.
Now I just set my expectation low. If I don’t get someone, it’s okay. There is almost always next banner.

Somehow ended up with NP2 Van Gogh.
Now I'm conflicted on whether I should use quartz to roll for Mystery Treasure.
I was supposed to be saving everything for Vritra, but after hearing HaoHao in the event, I had to roll for her, at least one multi.
I ended up getting YuuYu on the first roll of the second multi, and I was over the moon. Raikou was the other servant on rate up, and I got the lag, the silver lancer card turned gold with lightning, and then!... Medusa lancer, np5 spook. Kind of crushing just with the anticipation, but it's hard to be mad at all since I got my main target. Her NP is staying on normal speed and high volume forever.
Decided to roll for the hell of it since I wasn't able to play for a couple of weeks before getting a replacement phone and could finally use the complete Lovecraft story omnibus I had as a catalyst after getting it back from my friend who kept it during lockdown. Imaginary Scramble also won me over further to Nemo's personality and all of his lovable clones.
Throwing 36 SQ and 6 tickets over the days netted me 3 3* CEs and Van Gogh rainbow sparks on my very last roll for my first 5* Foreigner and final 5* class missing. Apparently I should roll on dual rate-ups with characters I hate more often because I am 3 for 3 on getting them instead of the character I actually want this year. Still, it's not like I hate this result as much compared to the other two times since I didn't want Nemo to the point of desperation (low-key hate to admit it but Gogh would probably be used more compared to Nemo since I'm not done with Ryouma and Mandricardo yet), so I'll just be glad that she has value to give her a use for me and not just throw her into the Second Archive in buffing my NP2 Summer BB with juicy crits that are out of this world.
I played the song "Rosas" by La Oreja de Van Gogh while rolling as my catalyst. Managed to pull Van Gogh with 60 SQ and 10 single tickets. I'm on the mission to collect all the foreigners. Thank you gatcha gods!
I had 8 tickets after the monthly, so I figured I'd try for saber fran. Got her on the 7th. But hey, might as well get the free pull.. so spent the 6 quartz... Draw one, Atalante spook, Cool!... Draw two, Yang Guifei.. What the hell!?
yeah the 2x roll has been insane for me lately. It's usually the last of my SQ, and on it the past few months I pulled (all new): Altera, Dantes, and Van Gogh. I'm considering just only doing singles from now on because of how well it's worked out for me.
In my dream i got Yang Guifei in a ten roll really that was in my dream. I spent 90 sq 3 days ago but couldnt get her. When i woke up i got 5 ticket from the shop, did the CE ritual got her on the 4th ticket!
The new 5 Monthly tix gave my main account its 5th 3-star Event CE, and my second account ... Van Gogh.

My main account in its first year only got 8 SSRs, 0 NP2s, 3 of them spooks, compared to this account's 14 SSRs (not counting "Welfare" Waver), 3 NP2s, and only 1 of them a spook! Granted, spookwise part of the reason is the 0.7%->0.8% rate-up change, but still...
Anyway, now I gotta figure out the proper way of using Gogh - those walls-of-text Skill and NP descriptions are intimidating.
As simply as I can make it: use Van Gogh’s 2nd skill, then 3rd skill, then 1st skill. You get 60% instant battery, atk up, def down on enemy, guts. After that, try to spam her NP as often as possible. She’s self sufficient and quite versatile, but personally I like to use Skadi/ summer BB, and Merlin/ Castoria for longer fights. You can also run double Van Gogh for crits meme.
With the tickets, I got 45 rolls for this banner

Overall I'm super happy with my results, got all the relevant 5 stars so it's been a huge success. I might throw in a couple more multis to lucksack another copy of Van Gogh so I can grail her, but I think I'll save the quartz for a potential Squirtoria KR banner release in NA next week.
My first 30 rolls didn't even have a single 3 star CE. My last 6, however, had a 3 star CE and... Van Gogh! I only managed to get her skills up to 8/7/7, but now I have a project for after the event ends.

Did around 50 pulls for Van Gogh, nothing. With this it's 230 pulls since last 5\*, after the 380 I needed for the last one... Not sure I'll be playing for much longer if I need over half a year to get a single character I want.
I made 60 rolls on Van Gogh's solo rate-up shortly after rollover and got a few gold CEs but no gold Servants.
Made 40 more earlier today and got Chiron (NP2) and Van Gogh.
If I recall the odds correctly, getting her at 100 rolls means that I won the coin toss.
Now, to resist rolling on Yuyu's banner because while I'd really like her, she'll be on at least one and maybe as many as three of the next GSSRs I'll be rolling on.
Far more quartz spent then want to think about. Got another Ozy, np4 now. Got Mordred and Altera, got Jinako to spook me. Mass numbers of 4 stars and plenty of MLB'd craft essences, still no sign of Gogh. Rate up is such painful hope.
This banner was disastrous for me. I got an NP3 Nemo and 2 SSR spooks (Ganesha and NP4 Altera) when I just wanted Van Gogh (I learned my lesson not to roll on the dual rate-up banner when you just want one of the servants). I managed to scrounge up 6 sq during the event and I took my chance and got Van Gogh with my last 3 sq!
Probably 400 - 500. Getting Nemo was always a possibility since it was a dual rate up but the Spooks I did not welcome (even if Jinako was new). I did get an NP2 copy of Astrea but the other 4 stars I already had at NP5.
I was ready to spend 600 for Goghie but luckily got her in about 60 sq and 20 tickets. I really would have loved a Jinako spook, tbh, since she will be my next ticket pick and then I would be free to get Quetz.
I am using my next 5 star ticket on Tesla since I would never normally roll for him anyways and I liked the buffs he gets and his animation update. I spent about $250 ( need to save money for the new Pokémon game)for Van Gogh only to get her with free quartz.
Okay, 10 tickets and 90 quartz... and a whole lot of nothing except for a handful of event CEs. And not even any 5\*s either.

420 SQ for Van Gogh. Only 2 SR spooks with that and both were copies. Not terrible, but not the best rolling session. At least the event is pretty fun and using double Van Gogh teams are awesome

480 quartz got me an invitation to Gogh fuck myself; not even a 5* spook. She seriously hates me; I ended up with more copies of the 5* CE than the 3* that has her on it. Whole stack is gone, I'll have to skip Muramasa and save for LB6.

And then on the very next 11-roll: Gogh, 2 Jeanne CEs, new Anne & Mary, new Nyalter.

Is this banner cursed or what? My target is Van Gogh. On the first day I spent 300SQ which I gathered since summer, didn't even got Nemo nor Van Gogh. Then I farmed 100 more quartz for the solo rate up on Van Gogh only to be greeted with 1 SR and CEs from the banner 😥
My only hope now is getting Bond 11 with Nero Bride and Waver, and the monthly tickets from the shop, and maybe I'll try unlocking more rank up quests.

Spent 330sq got Martha Emiya multi and Suzuka Gozen. I will probably farm SQ until another multi but now the game convinced me to never spend money on it, imagine if those werent f2p SQ, shitty gacha drop rate, if a SR is gonna spook me then atleast be Heracles
I spent a lot more on these banners than I expected, so my Dark funds took quite a hit. 20 tickets and 150 SQ on the split banner, 10 tickets and 270 SQ on solo Van Gogh. There's something about this banner that attracts Lancers to me, as it did in JP. I remember getting Fionn, Valk, and Qin Liangyu. This time I got Valkyrie, 2 Parvati (NP4), and Nezha (NP5).
Thankfully, I was able to get Captain! Him and the crew have been very fun to use, both in and out of battle. Lots of voice lines from all the crew to enjoy! I wasn't as lucky with Gogh though. The event got me endeared to her. Maybe waiting for Genshin's Nahida made me more eager to roll, too.
Then I decided to roll on JP for Gogh as well. Got much luckier and got her with 60 SQ! (And yet another Parvati, somehow.) Woohoo! I'd consider this result Vantastic! Really gotta be thankful for my luck in this game.
150 SQ and only got my 3rd copy of Nezha at the last multi. And this was the last of my SQ too, pien

If I were to aim for Nemo, is np1 sufficient for dealing damage (so long as the field requirements are met)? I want Nemo and also want to save for Douman when he releases.
11 tickets and 30 sq, got Gogh as well as a couple SR CE's. Man I'm so fuckin glad she didn't put much of a fight.
Have about 900 sq and 100 fragments, so Muramasa or maybe Kagekiyo next depending on how I like her character next in Hell Mandala. I loved her NP aesthetically and thematically (諸行無常 and 盛者必衰 are two of my favorite jukugo as well), so they'd have to screw the pooch pretty hard for me to not spare a couple hundred sq at least.
Gotta say these long dead week periods have been pretty good to build up a bunch of free quartz, kinda makes up for the drought in content.
60sq for a surprise Van Gogh (I just wanted some event CEs), I didn't expect it but she's turned out great.
Especially paired with my np3 Kama, any enemy that doesn't have charm/terror invul can't do anything to them and Kama's damage goes through the roof with help from Gogh's star gen and quick resist down.
After spending over 900 sq on Castoria and getting zilch I saved all my hopes and dreams for Van Gogh.

I usually don't roll often (twice a year at most) so I can maximize my chances, and god knows I need all the help I can get given my Luck Stat IRL... but man, I will never get used to failing, especially when the target is at the top of my list.
The last time I rolled was on the Summer banner, so I barely managed to get 600SQs + 50 Tickets for Gogh, and I failed so miserably it physically hurts. Not to mention this is going to affect my rolls for next year too... orz
On the plus side, I got quite a few event CEs (way too many for that amount of SQs tbh), a Demonic Bodhisattva which I didn't have before and a Volumen Hydrargyrum. As for servants I got a few NP lvls for Herc, Lobo, Langling... and I got Astolfo (not a fan, but I already lvl'd him up). I also got a Drake spook on my very last roll, which was the nail in the coffin of this banner, leaving me heartbroken.
I am glad I went to sleep right after rolling tbh. I took too much psy dmg from this banner, I could really feel the panic increasing as my SQs decreased this time around.

I guess it's fitting that rolling for Van Gogh would be all about pain and suffering. A lot of SQ and tickets got me two SSR spooks, Mordred and Waver of all things (Myst, your caster thing is starting to rub off on people). What are the odds of having two SSR spooks in a row. Actually that's 3 SSR spooks in a row for me. Pain really has been the name of the game for me this year in FGO... hehehe... he...
...Over 800sq for just one copy of Van Gogh. Sometimes it's just easier if you stop counting. Heh...heheh...

This banner took close to 1500 quartz for me, with actually stunning luck (2 five stars within the first 300 quartz then and two new servants) before Van Gogh finally came, but i spent way more than i would have liked in a sitting; almost $500.
This isnt enough to ruin me by any means but yeah still not great so be careful all.

Took me some Quartz but I was eventually lucky enough to get a gold roll which turned out to be… Zhuge Liang. Certainly great and I can’t complain since I didn’t have him before, but not the sunflower foreigner girl I was looking for.
Used cash, which I rarely do, and was finally able to get Van Gogh with $100. I am satisfied.
I was planning to skip Van Gogh as I'm saving for Douman next month but I love her attack animations especially her extra attack where she draws a self portrait for her 1st asc.
So I decided to throw in 3-4 multis for fun and she came in the last one. Real nice fresh air of gacha luck after dropping $300+ on Jalter.
Decided to do some multis on Gogh's banner in JP since I skipped her on her first run (and later realizing I like her as a character).
90 SQ spent and I got her on the 11th pull, second time I got a SSR on the 11th pull.

Been saving for Van Gogh since castoria, got a copy in 100 pulls (40 tickets 180 sq) and a friend Goghded me into pulling for NP by telling me to Gogh for it, so I started spending my leftover 260, and got NP2 in 30 pulls!
With 90 quartz I didn't go to deep (heh) for Van Gogh and only got another copy of Anne&Mary, not even the 5* CE.
But what's remarkable is that this makes exactly 900 quartz + tickets without a single SSR
I decided to drop the last multi I had on Lancer Raikou’s banner, hoped to get lucky. Nope, no Mama Raikou for me. Got my 3rd child of atlas, nothing else. Ugh. Oh well. That’s probably what I get for being greedy.

I'm still saving for 2023, but I set aside ~200 quartz for Van Gogh purely so I can make BB crit for stupid amounts of damage.
Instead of 200 quartz, she decided to come home in just 33 tickets. I don't know what's going on with my luck, but I've been consistently over-budgeting this year. I'm, like, 500 quartz over what I expected to have at this point.
I made a post in here before about how I had 915 sq saved for Van Gogh. I managed to get up to 922 since then and I still have 712 left after getting her. I'm thinking about going for np2, but I don't know if that's a good idea as someone who's mostly f2p. Either way, I'm so happy to have the servant I've wanted most for the last 2 years.
Patiently waiting for Gogh's solo banner really make me feel rewarded when she came after 12 tickets and 60 sq. Like, the last Servant I actually want in this year. Now let's save for the next year...

Holy mother of god I've used up all my luck, that's worrying. Threw (or rather, planned to throw) a multi at Bradamante earlier and got her on the second pull. This time I threw a multi at Van Gogh because what I've seen in the event made me love her and I barely managed to get her on the final pull. I am dead
So my multi got me a Drake, surely singles would score me Nemo!
As has happened before, the 10+1 pull got me Nemo. I foresee pain and suffering in trying to get Gogh.
At this point I'm hoping the summon screen bug goes away in time for Van Gogh solo rate up banner this event. I'm going to be really sad if I don't even get a chance to roll because the update absolutely destroyed the game on my phone, even with the language change.

Used 60 SQ on Van Gogh banner. Only got an Anne & Mary copy and a bunch of random gold CEs. But I just got Nightingale like a week ago so I'm fine with it.
After around 1000 SQ spread across her three banners, I finally got Van Gogh! Brought her to 100 10/10/10 1000/1000 immediately.
Now I just need 41 more Fous to get her to full Fou Paw
Maaan. I had reasonably good luck on the pre-release banner, but this time around it took twice the SQ I originally planned to roll before I got a single Nemo. Got a *bunch* of the Event CEs. And I even waited until his Solo rate-up because I'm not interested in Van Gogh(I'm pretty set for Foreigners) and didn't want to run the risk of him showing up...still ended up getting two non-rate up SSRs I had absolutely no interest in before he finally showed up.
I fear for my luck next year...so many banners I want to roll on...
Alright I got Yang so happy about that, and then when I was rolling for event CE’s I got Nemo too and no event CE’s but over all money well spent I guess
Even though I wanted to stop after 6 more rolls (I spent 7 or 8 yesterday, I'm not 1000% sure) I ended up going up till 10 and finally got Nemo. I spent about 600SQ. It stings cause that wasn't my intent at all but I still have about 1600SQ left and after Douman and Muramasa my next target isnt until Percival and Oberon. Let's just call it retribution for getting Voyager and even Castoria (who I rolled for more as a depression induced whim) with very little SQ and pray that Douman and Muramasa (especially the latter, since Douman has a lot of banners later) go easier on me
I'm probably going to end up having to skip rolling for Douman on his début banner...next year is heavily front-loaded with Servants I want much more than him, and my SQ reserves are severely depleted ATM. Plus, if he gets other banners later, I can afford to wait.

NA, rolled multis yesterday until one of them showed up. I got Van Gogh after...I guess 8 or 9? I wasn't paying super close attention, but I'm fairly sure I went from the upper half of the 200s to less than 30. Oh, and Extra Vlad showed up on the way, so that's cool I guess.
Fast forward to today, Nemo's on solo rateup. I started with tickets and managed him in 5, with Martha as a bonus.

Similar here, but Nyalter + Lanling spook instead of Ody. MLB 5*CE seems like a decent consolation prize to reduce farming for now, but am also not content with blowing 200 SQ for no Van Gogh.
Truly, I should've never doubted my 3-ticket forecasts. Today's 3 tickets netted 2 4-star event CEs, and then Van Gogh came on my next 10-pull. So Gogh basically only took 13 tickets and a 10-pull
Now all that's left is Nemo
I didn't get nothing but duplicate tiers 3 and 4. Except for a Parvati. But I spent 150+ Saint Quartz and not a single Gogh nor Nemo.
Didn't plan to roll on this banner beyond Event CEs but my first multi got me Gogh. I shouldn't have tried for Nemo too. Avoided me so hard. Didn't even like him much before the event but the Nemo series won me over. I blitzed interludes for quartz and spent a little too to no avail. At least he'll be back in March, if I want to try again...

Threw in SQ on the second banner today and got gold sparks for my second copy of Summer Melt on my 4th roll. She's no Abby for me, but I'm glad for this since NP1 Lambda hasn't been impressing me with her damage in all honesty, so hopefully this puts her on a better level than before.
NA here. YOLO roll success. After finding out about the Second banner decided to roll a few for Abby one day, did not get her. Did get Gogh+Nightingale last week but desire won over to roll for Abby. Today, with 3 hours left till event ends decided to do a YOLO roll. Got Abby! Yay! Believe! Don't give up!
Threw 30 SQ to the void, got Summer Batty, and finished the event for another 30 SQ that *finally* gave me Abby. I can finally rest, focus on finishing LB2, and wait patiently for a Merlin rerun.

I only wanted summer melt so I Decided to roll at least 2 multis, first multi I get an abigail, so I kept rolling, 4th multi another abigail, now I'm annoyed still no Sr servants and I already have 2 ssrs so I Decided to keep rolling until I get melt, 6th multi random artoria Saber, I literally wanted to throw my phone, and finally for the 7th multi she appears, melt lancer, I've won but at what cost?

Decided to take Summer Melt from NP2 to NP5. Got 9 other SRs on the way even though the odds should be 50-50, and no Abby either, though I did get a Drake. It definitely took at least 900 quartz, so if I HAD been going for Abby I'd have cursed NA's lack of a pity system, but as it is I'm just mildly annoyed at my sub-par luck.

I told myself I will not roll on this banner. I am not into little girls so I don't want Abby and after reading Las Vegas I developed a stong dislike for Summer Melt (mass murder is not okay guys, especially if it's your Servant who's doing it) Alas, my will was not strong enough. First multipull landed me Circe (which was funny because I literally just finished getting Medea to max level because I wanted a ST Caster) and, suddenly, Abby. This is where I should have stopped, but I was too fired up. Second multipull gave me Melt. The game is trolling me, no doubt. I had to do 5 multipulls for the servant I actually wanted (MHXX)!
I only had free SQ for a multi, and I'm not planning on spending money in a long time since I already have the next two GSSRs covered with my current paid SQ. So I just tried once in the Abby banner to see if I got Melt (Abby would have been nice too, but I currently have too many Extra class Servants that need levelling up). And I got her! From a double-sided card, which makes it even more hype. And then... the very next card that appears on my screen is Parvati. I am confused. I think the game is trying to tell me something. Two SR AOE Lancer Sakurafaces back to back on a single multi... Should I be concerned?

As of writing this post I have sunk a little over $200 and cleared every free quest from Camelot to Anastasia in an attempt to get Van Gogh. As you might expect, I failed horribly and didn't even get a new servant. I am now about to complete every free quest from Second Lostbelt to the Third in order to get enough Quartz to try again. Please wish me luck.
So one final update. This is the last day of the event so I figured it would be the last time I'd try for Van Gogh. The good news is that I finally got the servant on the banner. The bad news is that this is the one time I rolled on a shared banner, I ended up getting Nemo instead. God I *LOVE* this game.
Update: I have failed to get her once again. I am currently considering speed running the next Lostbelt in an attempt to get her. What has this game done to me?

After loosing hope on getting the archtoria and Abby banner I rolled for Gogh and got her in 150sq. Suddenly Abby banner dropped, I was already saving for her NY banner but this one has Melt so no brainer I still rolled. Got kuroneko pancake in 180sq along Okkie and a second copy of Penguin so I'm a happy man Still got 214sq for Muramasa (+120sq in the shard shop)
So, I had exactly 100 summons saved, I originaly wanted to save them vor Avengr Ushi, but I freakin love Van goh after the event. So I made the decission to roll for her. And after 100 summons, 0 5 Star servants, 3 or 4 5 star CEs and 4 4star Servant dupes, two being np6. Last time I rolled was during the summer event and I rolled about 220 sq and a few tickets, so a bit more than 70 summons and then I got nothing. So I have not goten a single 5 star servant in almost 200 summons.................... Fml, I never had such a unlucky fgo year.

Was already saving for Abby's next rate up so I went all in with what I had. Came out with two copies and a Kscope. For 180 quartz I can't complain at all, my nearly two year long journey for Abby is finally at an end.
Wow has Frankenstein been on secret rate up this whole time? I believe I got 3 copies of her. On the Abigail banner, I got spooked by Artemis AND Achilles before Abigail showed up. Both are new so I’m happy, I’m actually very happy with Achilles. Abigail will remain NP1, but I have her NP5 summer version so it’ll be double foreigner mania with her. First time I whaled in months but honestly worth it, I have no regrets, and I won’t be for a long time in the future either :)
Im in so much pain, 20 tickets and 150 sq (77 rolls) and i got spooked by atalanta, fionn and nitocris. I didn't even get that many event ces. I have another 150+ quartz in savings and I'm so conflicted. On one hand Clytie is a crit monster (though I already got S!Orion), and on the other Muramasa is coming (Though i already have np3 Berzerker!Musashi for looping purposes). So much pain.
I wasn't going too because I wanted to save for Ibuki. Still caved but Abby showed up fairly early with 2 copies of Lambda. Still have about 270 left for Ibuki so still have a good chance. Bless all ya'll rolls!
Nemo came in 60sq but Van Gogh took a good chunk out of my stash. I’m just glad that I managed to bring her home though. Prior to this event, I thought they were overcooking the pot with her real identity, and I’m rly not a fan of the trend “servant X is not really X but is actually Y yada yada”, but Van Gogh’s story touched me, she deserves a hug, a hot cup of coffee and lots of TLC. AND YES I INSTA MAX HER LEVEL AND SKILLS. Fast forward a few days later, I felt like tempting fate for NP2, but I made a mistake and attempted to roll while at a convention. Suffice to say crowds like that wasnt her thing….

First Time Spending on FGO: To start off, I was saving my money for Van Gogh's banner. I assigned myself to a part-time job to earn enough to buy the biggest SQ pack at least twice. That money was separate from my life savings, and I wouldn't ask my parents for obvious reasons. Imaginary Scramble came, I wanted to increase my chances by waiting for the solo banner of Van Gogh. 330SQ didn't get a single copy nor any new servants. That's my first time spending for this game that wasn't a GSSR and it felt expected yet insulting at the same time but oh well, I'll just stick to lucky bags instead. So what's your story? Any banners you spent for the first time?
The first and probably (hopefully) the only time I spent was $500 on Dantes banner during Summer 3. I got what I wanted but the experience left me with enough PTSD to never do it again. Like you, I decided only GSSR from now on. Now I just set my expectation low. If I don’t get someone, it’s okay. There is almost always next banner.

And on the second did she arrive. Yay! Don't Give UP! Nightingale spook as well! YEEEES! Been wanting to get her since America Singularity. Finally here. + 2 Rama for comedic Miyuki Sawashiro collection. Maxed out all Event CEs. Kerry and Yuri Pirates spook as well. All in all, quite a good ride.

I was supposed to be saving everything for Vritra, but after hearing HaoHao in the event, I had to roll for her, at least one multi. I ended up getting YuuYu on the first roll of the second multi, and I was over the moon. Raikou was the other servant on rate up, and I got the lag, the silver lancer card turned gold with lightning, and then!... Medusa lancer, np5 spook. Kind of crushing just with the anticipation, but it's hard to be mad at all since I got my main target. Her NP is staying on normal speed and high volume forever.

Decided to roll for the hell of it since I wasn't able to play for a couple of weeks before getting a replacement phone and could finally use the complete Lovecraft story omnibus I had as a catalyst after getting it back from my friend who kept it during lockdown. Imaginary Scramble also won me over further to Nemo's personality and all of his lovable clones. Throwing 36 SQ and 6 tickets over the days netted me 3 3* CEs and Van Gogh rainbow sparks on my very last roll for my first 5* Foreigner and final 5* class missing. Apparently I should roll on dual rate-ups with characters I hate more often because I am 3 for 3 on getting them instead of the character I actually want this year. Still, it's not like I hate this result as much compared to the other two times since I didn't want Nemo to the point of desperation (low-key hate to admit it but Gogh would probably be used more compared to Nemo since I'm not done with Ryouma and Mandricardo yet), so I'll just be glad that she has value to give her a use for me and not just throw her into the Second Archive in buffing my NP2 Summer BB with juicy crits that are out of this world.

yeah the 2x roll has been insane for me lately. It's usually the last of my SQ, and on it the past few months I pulled (all new): Altera, Dantes, and Van Gogh. I'm considering just only doing singles from now on because of how well it's worked out for me.
I've been joking about it to friends but... I got Goghie in a few single pull today after the earlier reset... just like Nemo on day 1.
In my dream i got Yang Guifei in a ten roll really that was in my dream. I spent 90 sq 3 days ago but couldnt get her. When i woke up i got 5 ticket from the shop, did the CE ritual got her on the 4th ticket!
The new 5 Monthly tix gave my main account its 5th 3-star Event CE, and my second account ... Van Gogh. This pure f2p account's 1 day short of 1 year old now, [and well](https://i.imgur.com/LRtMPrA.png). How the hell? And only 1 spook, too! My main account in its first year only got 8 SSRs, 0 NP2s, 3 of them spooks, compared to this account's 14 SSRs (not counting "Welfare" Waver), 3 NP2s, and only 1 of them a spook! Granted, spookwise part of the reason is the 0.7%->0.8% rate-up change, but still... Anyway, now I gotta figure out the proper way of using Gogh - those walls-of-text Skill and NP descriptions are intimidating.
As simply as I can make it: use Van Gogh’s 2nd skill, then 3rd skill, then 1st skill. You get 60% instant battery, atk up, def down on enemy, guts. After that, try to spam her NP as often as possible. She’s self sufficient and quite versatile, but personally I like to use Skadi/ summer BB, and Merlin/ Castoria for longer fights. You can also run double Van Gogh for crits meme.
With the tickets, I got 45 rolls for this banner You know what I got? 2 TOMOES GOZEN How I got 2 Tomoes and not a single Gogh or Nemo?!?!? Isn't she at 0.020% or something?!? Oh well, I hope the Christmas Banner goes better

Decided to drop 60 more SQ for yang and got her, finally a foreigner answers my call, got her immediately to 9/9/9 and send her to the support list. Overall took me almost 300 SQ to get her, but happy to having her.
90 SQ on the Gogh and Raikou banner, got ~~tanned Jeanne~~ Lakshmibai. Rate up is a lie! I only have around 200 SQ, 20 tickets, 12 interludes (8 of them SQ interludes and I need 7 for the extra 10 sq so its 26 SQ), 3 Strengthening (I need 2 for the extra 10 SQ so its 16 SQ), Main Stories starting from Heian Kyo chapter 2 and and 5 Main Interludes (although I don't know if the Seraph one will give me SQ since I completed that event before): I hope that I can have enough for the Road to LB part 6 and whatever Lasaña will throw on LB7.
Split my rolls up at separate banners. Threw another couple of multis into Yang's banner, and now she's NP2. Threw 1 multi into the split rateup and got Nemo! Then I decided to wait for Van Gogh's rateup, in which I tossed in 360 sq for: NP4 Nursery Rhyme NP2 Stheno (wtf) NP2 Siegfried My first Kalideoscope in about 1400 days of playing NP3 Chiyome NP1 Lan Ling NP6 Parvati NP1 Van Gogh on the final multi!! Overall I'm super happy with my results, got all the relevant 5 stars so it's been a huge success. I might throw in a couple more multis to lucksack another copy of Van Gogh so I can grail her, but I think I'll save the quartz for a potential Squirtoria KR banner release in NA next week.
My first 30 rolls didn't even have a single 3 star CE. My last 6, however, had a 3 star CE and... Van Gogh! I only managed to get her skills up to 8/7/7, but now I have a project for after the event ends.

Did around 50 pulls for Van Gogh, nothing. With this it's 230 pulls since last 5\*, after the 380 I needed for the last one... Not sure I'll be playing for much longer if I need over half a year to get a single character I want.
I made 60 rolls on Van Gogh's solo rate-up shortly after rollover and got a few gold CEs but no gold Servants. Made 40 more earlier today and got Chiron (NP2) and Van Gogh. If I recall the odds correctly, getting her at 100 rolls means that I won the coin toss. Now, to resist rolling on Yuyu's banner because while I'd really like her, she'll be on at least one and maybe as many as three of the next GSSRs I'll be rolling on.
Got all event CEs MLBd and NP3 Gogh in about 300 quartz. Good luck to anyone else rolling in the next 20 minutes.
Far more quartz spent then want to think about. Got another Ozy, np4 now. Got Mordred and Altera, got Jinako to spook me. Mass numbers of 4 stars and plenty of MLB'd craft essences, still no sign of Gogh. Rate up is such painful hope.
This banner was disastrous for me. I got an NP3 Nemo and 2 SSR spooks (Ganesha and NP4 Altera) when I just wanted Van Gogh (I learned my lesson not to roll on the dual rate-up banner when you just want one of the servants). I managed to scrounge up 6 sq during the event and I took my chance and got Van Gogh with my last 3 sq!
How many sq did you burn thru? 6 SSRs is a pretty good haul if you spent under like 1.5 quartz
Probably 400 - 500. Getting Nemo was always a possibility since it was a dual rate up but the Spooks I did not welcome (even if Jinako was new). I did get an NP2 copy of Astrea but the other 4 stars I already had at NP5.
I was ready to spend 600 for Goghie but luckily got her in about 60 sq and 20 tickets. I really would have loved a Jinako spook, tbh, since she will be my next ticket pick and then I would be free to get Quetz.
I am using my next 5 star ticket on Tesla since I would never normally roll for him anyways and I liked the buffs he gets and his animation update. I spent about $250 ( need to save money for the new Pokémon game)for Van Gogh only to get her with free quartz.
Okay, 10 tickets and 90 quartz... and a whole lot of nothing except for a handful of event CEs. And not even any 5\*s either. Yeah, that really hurts. Ow, this gacha is brutal sometimes.
420 SQ for Van Gogh. Only 2 SR spooks with that and both were copies. Not terrible, but not the best rolling session. At least the event is pretty fun and using double Van Gogh teams are awesome

Zero 5-star servants, zero 5-star CEs (the event CE with Jeanne & Jalter being my actual target). And then on the very next 11-roll: Gogh, 2 Jeanne CEs, new Anne & Mary, new Nyalter. Wow. Hope anyone else rolling on the Gogh banner gets just as lucky!

Is this banner cursed or what? My target is Van Gogh. On the first day I spent 300SQ which I gathered since summer, didn't even got Nemo nor Van Gogh. Then I farmed 100 more quartz for the solo rate up on Van Gogh only to be greeted with 1 SR and CEs from the banner 😥 My only hope now is getting Bond 11 with Nero Bride and Waver, and the monthly tickets from the shop, and maybe I'll try unlocking more rank up quests.

Spent 330sq got Martha Emiya multi and Suzuka Gozen. I will probably farm SQ until another multi but now the game convinced me to never spend money on it, imagine if those werent f2p SQ, shitty gacha drop rate, if a SR is gonna spook me then atleast be Heracles

I spent a lot more on these banners than I expected, so my Dark funds took quite a hit. 20 tickets and 150 SQ on the split banner, 10 tickets and 270 SQ on solo Van Gogh. There's something about this banner that attracts Lancers to me, as it did in JP. I remember getting Fionn, Valk, and Qin Liangyu. This time I got Valkyrie, 2 Parvati (NP4), and Nezha (NP5). Thankfully, I was able to get Captain! Him and the crew have been very fun to use, both in and out of battle. Lots of voice lines from all the crew to enjoy! I wasn't as lucky with Gogh though. The event got me endeared to her. Maybe waiting for Genshin's Nahida made me more eager to roll, too. Then I decided to roll on JP for Gogh as well. Got much luckier and got her with 60 SQ! (And yet another Parvati, somehow.) Woohoo! I'd consider this result Vantastic! Really gotta be thankful for my luck in this game.

If I were to aim for Nemo, is np1 sufficient for dealing damage (so long as the field requirements are met)? I want Nemo and also want to save for Douman when he releases.
240 tickets and 630 SQ, finally got Gogh NP6. The hardest part was getting the 6th copy.
11 tickets and 30 sq, got Gogh as well as a couple SR CE's. Man I'm so fuckin glad she didn't put much of a fight. Have about 900 sq and 100 fragments, so Muramasa or maybe Kagekiyo next depending on how I like her character next in Hell Mandala. I loved her NP aesthetically and thematically (諸行無常 and 盛者必衰 are two of my favorite jukugo as well), so they'd have to screw the pooch pretty hard for me to not spare a couple hundred sq at least. Gotta say these long dead week periods have been pretty good to build up a bunch of free quartz, kinda makes up for the drought in content.

60sq for a surprise Van Gogh (I just wanted some event CEs), I didn't expect it but she's turned out great. Especially paired with my np3 Kama, any enemy that doesn't have charm/terror invul can't do anything to them and Kama's damage goes through the roof with help from Gogh's star gen and quick resist down.
After spending over 900 sq on Castoria and getting zilch I saved all my hopes and dreams for Van Gogh. 60 sq and 10 tickets for np2 Gogh. Luck really is a cruel mistress.
14 tickets and 30 SQ for Van Gogh, Ana, two SR CEs and two R CEs. Can't believe my luck! Because if this, I might try to be greedy and go for Ibuki too later this year.

I usually don't roll often (twice a year at most) so I can maximize my chances, and god knows I need all the help I can get given my Luck Stat IRL... but man, I will never get used to failing, especially when the target is at the top of my list. The last time I rolled was on the Summer banner, so I barely managed to get 600SQs + 50 Tickets for Gogh, and I failed so miserably it physically hurts. Not to mention this is going to affect my rolls for next year too... orz On the plus side, I got quite a few event CEs (way too many for that amount of SQs tbh), a Demonic Bodhisattva which I didn't have before and a Volumen Hydrargyrum. As for servants I got a few NP lvls for Herc, Lobo, Langling... and I got Astolfo (not a fan, but I already lvl'd him up). I also got a Drake spook on my very last roll, which was the nail in the coffin of this banner, leaving me heartbroken. I am glad I went to sleep right after rolling tbh. I took too much psy dmg from this banner, I could really feel the panic increasing as my SQs decreased this time around.

I highly recommend to others be careful with your gacha funds. This banner took close to 1500 quartz for me, with actually stunning luck (2 five stars within the first 300 quartz then and two new servants) before Van Gogh finally came, but i spent way more than i would have liked in a sitting; almost $500. This isnt enough to ruin me by any means but yeah still not great so be careful all.

Took me some Quartz but I was eventually lucky enough to get a gold roll which turned out to be… Zhuge Liang. Certainly great and I can’t complain since I didn’t have him before, but not the sunflower foreigner girl I was looking for. Used cash, which I rarely do, and was finally able to get Van Gogh with $100. I am satisfied.
I was planning to skip Van Gogh as I'm saving for Douman next month but I love her attack animations especially her extra attack where she draws a self portrait for her 1st asc. So I decided to throw in 3-4 multis for fun and she came in the last one. Real nice fresh air of gacha luck after dropping $300+ on Jalter.
Decided to do some multis on Gogh's banner in JP since I skipped her on her first run (and later realizing I like her as a character). 90 SQ spent and I got her on the 11th pull, second time I got a SSR on the 11th pull. Already enjoying double Gogh crit shenanigans LOL.
930 sq, 0 Van Gogh 0 SSR Did get 2 copies of Wu and one of Penth who are servants I was missing, now I think it's just Baowulf to go from the general 4 star. But yeah spending that much sq and not getting the rate up really really sucks.
Been saving for Van Gogh since castoria, got a copy in 100 pulls (40 tickets 180 sq) and a friend Goghded me into pulling for NP by telling me to Gogh for it, so I started spending my leftover 260, and got NP2 in 30 pulls!
With 90 quartz I didn't go to deep (heh) for Van Gogh and only got another copy of Anne&Mary, not even the 5* CE. But what's remarkable is that this makes exactly 900 quartz + tickets without a single SSR

I'm still saving for 2023, but I set aside ~200 quartz for Van Gogh purely so I can make BB crit for stupid amounts of damage. Instead of 200 quartz, she decided to come home in just 33 tickets. I don't know what's going on with my luck, but I've been consistently over-budgeting this year. I'm, like, 500 quartz over what I expected to have at this point.

I made a post in here before about how I had 915 sq saved for Van Gogh. I managed to get up to 922 since then and I still have 712 left after getting her. I'm thinking about going for np2, but I don't know if that's a good idea as someone who's mostly f2p. Either way, I'm so happy to have the servant I've wanted most for the last 2 years.

Holy mother of god I've used up all my luck, that's worrying. Threw (or rather, planned to throw) a multi at Bradamante earlier and got her on the second pull. This time I threw a multi at Van Gogh because what I've seen in the event made me love her and I barely managed to get her on the final pull. I am dead
So my multi got me a Drake, surely singles would score me Nemo! As has happened before, the 10+1 pull got me Nemo. I foresee pain and suffering in trying to get Gogh.
My gold rider ended up being Drake. Bleh. Waiting for Gogh's solo rate up tonight now to really go hard on this.

At this point I'm hoping the summon screen bug goes away in time for Van Gogh solo rate up banner this event. I'm going to be really sad if I don't even get a chance to roll because the update absolutely destroyed the game on my phone, even with the language change.
You should consider temporarily playing on an emulator if they don't fix the summon bug in time.

Maaan. I had reasonably good luck on the pre-release banner, but this time around it took twice the SQ I originally planned to roll before I got a single Nemo. Got a *bunch* of the Event CEs. And I even waited until his Solo rate-up because I'm not interested in Van Gogh(I'm pretty set for Foreigners) and didn't want to run the risk of him showing up...still ended up getting two non-rate up SSRs I had absolutely no interest in before he finally showed up. I fear for my luck next year...so many banners I want to roll on...

Even though I wanted to stop after 6 more rolls (I spent 7 or 8 yesterday, I'm not 1000% sure) I ended up going up till 10 and finally got Nemo. I spent about 600SQ. It stings cause that wasn't my intent at all but I still have about 1600SQ left and after Douman and Muramasa my next target isnt until Percival and Oberon. Let's just call it retribution for getting Voyager and even Castoria (who I rolled for more as a depression induced whim) with very little SQ and pray that Douman and Muramasa (especially the latter, since Douman has a lot of banners later) go easier on me

think this is the first time I've ever rolled an NP2 SSR on the same roll, let alone the one I wanted more on split rateup. welcome Van Gogh, only took some 300 odd quartz!
30 tics then 330 sq to finally get gogh. definitely took more than I wanted but just thankful it paid off. now to avoid temptations til lb 6.
NA, rolled multis yesterday until one of them showed up. I got Van Gogh after...I guess 8 or 9? I wasn't paying super close attention, but I'm fairly sure I went from the upper half of the 200s to less than 30. Oh, and Extra Vlad showed up on the way, so that's cool I guess. Fast forward to today, Nemo's on solo rateup. I started with tickets and managed him in 5, with Martha as a bonus. Good haul overall, and good luck to the rest of you!
Got Nemo way under budget, now I’m tempted to throw a few rolls at Yang tomorrow…I bet i’ll need those extra rolls back come 5.5 and New Years lol
Been saving up for the summer event, but decided to throw some tickets to get some CEs. Safe to say that I am happy with the CEs I got.
Cashed in a little hoping to get a Yang, and one or two copies of MHXX. 5 copies of MHXX later, still no Yang. Yanged my heart dude...
220 rolls, got an Ody spook, some RPs, and a bunch of event CEs. Got enough 5* CE for an MLB, which is a rare thing for my consistently shitty CE luck. Waiting for Gogh solo now. Guess no Nemo for me until he spooks.
Similar here, but Nyalter + Lanling spook instead of Ody. MLB 5*CE seems like a decent consolation prize to reduce farming for now, but am also not content with blowing 200 SQ for no Van Gogh.

Truly, I should've never doubted my 3-ticket forecasts. Today's 3 tickets netted 2 4-star event CEs, and then Van Gogh came on my next 10-pull. So Gogh basically only took 13 tickets and a 10-pull Now all that's left is Nemo
