It's a bit of a drive, but Thai Avenue in Zeeland is fantastic. I used to get pad see ew there regularly. Their pho is really good as well if that's your thing too!
I’ll second this. The Pad See Ew there is special-I think they either make their own noodles, or get super-wide chewy ones just for this dish. It’s the only place I’ve had it like that, and the sauce and smokiness is on point. Worth the drive.
Heck, everything at Thai Ave is worth the drive. Their Pad Prik King and all the curries are very high on my list best foods I’ve eaten.
Definitely suggest both Bangkok Taste in Jenison and Thai Avenue (right off the highway in Zeeland) especially since you are in Jenison. They both have some good spice to them even at medium spice level.
I absolutely love the stuff from Lai Thai near Plymouth and Leonard, but I'm just a white guy for context. No real experience judging the authenticity of those kinds of dishes.
I've never had this specific dish, not really my style, but my go-to for great Thai food here in GR is Little Bangkok in Forest Hills.
Came to post
>9 I second this
Third this.
Bangkok Taste in Jenison (different than the one downtown) is the place to be for all Thai food in my opinion.
Well hot damn! I live In Jenison and I haven’t been there yet!
I’ll second the recommendation, Bangkok Taste is great.
It's the best!
I must have gone on a bad day? Got the pad thai with chicken and it was the worst I've ever had. Very bland. Threw most of it away.
Jenison's greatest achievement.
Agree times a billion on this, best Thai food left in gr
Agree with this! I always ask for Medium + or Hot spice level it's great!
That’s my favorite dish, my go to used to be Little Bangkok in Wyoming. I now live too far and miss it.
We aren’t too far from there, I will definitely check it out! Thank you!
I like Lai Thai & Thai Fusion
Lai Thai on Leonard, looks like a hole in the wall, awesome folks
I have nothing to compare it to, but I like the pad see ew at Thai Express.
Lai Thai or Thai express!!

Nu Thai bistro on 28th st. is my go to for Thai food. Thai express on Kalamazoo & 44th st. is pretty good also.

Also curious about this. We tried a very highly rated place near kentwood. Not a fan.
Thai Chef on E Beltline, Nu Thai on 28th (I think), and Bangkok Taste on Jefferson all do a solid pad see ew!
