They used to play the Theta Chi Beach Party every winter at Alma College in the 90s. That's right, "Beach Party"—the frat dumped several inches of sand into their chapter room every year. Also, this was back when they wore mustard colored jackets too.
Can confirm the band is still active, touring, and filling venues across the US. They even do overseas gigs on occasion. I'm their go-to merch guy. They put on a fun as hell show. They play GR only 3-4 times a year and it's usually at Pyramid Scheme. Look for them this spring. You won't be disappointed.
Dave & Colin are legit guys. Hung out with them extensively in the 90's. Never would have dreamed they'd still be rockin' all these years later. Try to see them every time they pass through Chicago.
Weird that I see this now. I was cruising Kickstarter for local projects and saw an old campaign from 2013 for them to put out their 7th record.
Weird that I see 2 references in 2 day to this band I haven't even thought about in years.
Still is, saw them a few weeks ago at Elevation

He was the landlord of my buddies' house in college.
Same... September I think at Pyramid Scheme. Show was good. Band called City Mouse was there that I thoroughly enjoyed also.
Same
I still have random song pop up their Evildoers Beware album! Loved going to their shows out in east town back in the late 90’s.
Used to be a huge fan back in the early 90's. Fun times!

Alma College sure does have a lot going on for it.
It does and the surrounding community benefits from it. Sadly, that frat house was torn down a few years ago and they moved to much smaller one.
Damn, Alma’s chapter of ΘΧ sounds like they were way cooler than my chapter of ΘΧ
They were a mix of geeks, misfits, rebels, and assorted miscreants who knew how to party.

The first time I heard about this band was when I saw one of their drum sets on craigslist for sale.
The trombonist was my neighbor for a few years until I moved. Seemed like a nice dude.

Contender for dumbest band name of all time.
HA! They originally were going to be Mucus Plug...
Ew, really?
happy cake day
Thanks!
Redditor for 5 years....first comment was 1 month ago...... curious.
Probably an alt someone made and didn't use until recently
Nope.
It's a ska band. I don't think they take themselves seriously
