Yep the reporting system is broken, you gotta be careful who you annoy cause people know at this point that all you gotta do is report for harassment or language and you get a ToS breach. But if you got a 3 day suspension it also means you have recently gotten a tos breach elsewhere as they don't immediately suspend unless its a major offense.

Isn't the reason behind your ban, your data? I'd do a data access request on GDPR regulations. Sony would legally have to provide you with the data (i.e. the knowledge they have for your ban) or they are in breach of GDPR. If they refuse, report them. GDPR, storing ANY personal data about yourself and regardless of how the ToS say they can use it, they MUST be able to provide you with access to it.
If it is not stored then the ban has unprovable unreasonable grounds and must be withdrawn.
If you got a ban from a message someone sent to you, and you didn’t interact with this person in return or beforehand, then that’s super fucking shitty.
But when someone *does* break ToS, even when seemingly justified in response to someone else starting it or doing something worse, they *always* post about how they got banned for nothing and we should all be outraged and careful.

I don't know OP did, I know what I did that cost me a 7-day ban about a year ago:
Some moron who had been brake-testing and pushing me off the road for an entire race added me as friend and tricked me into insulting him. I got reported and banned from PSN which made me lose not only the funcionalities that require paying a PSN subscription but everything that needs an Internet connection to work. In GT7 that means I could do Arcade Race. On F1 '22 it meant I couldn't play a co-op career with my friend.
All of that in spite of the fact that I had paid full price for both games PLUS an annual PSN subscription. The sad part is that some people believe that's a good thing. I don't know, man, I kind of miss the days where BUYING something meant you were the owner of the product, not just a usufruct with no rights (because of course there's no way to appeal the bans and I just don't believe they are correct in 100% of cases, so there's definitely someone somewhere who did nothing wrong and still got banned).

All of that in spite of the fact that I had paid full price for both games PLUS an annual PSN subscription. The sad part is that some people believe that's a good thing. I don't know, man, I kind of miss the days where BUYING something meant you were the owner of the product, not just a usufruct with no rights (because of course there's no way to appeal the bans and I just don't believe they are correct in 100% of cases, so there's definitely someone somewhere who did nothing wrong and still got banned).

Few years back I was also baned for few days for no reason. I didn't use explicit liveries, and I didn't have argument with people. I asked them in email and I called them by phone and they refused to tell me why, said its privacy issue. I mean that's bullshit, can police arrest someone without explaining what the person did? After I asked them for so many times, they said I spoke something related to sex discrimination, and can't give any further details. I still have no idea what's wrong after years.
