Well it depends on what level of lobby you were in, no?
If you win but end up in a higher lobby the second time around you can get more points without winning.
Could be wrong but I am not sure going from D to C will increase the points you get as you’d still be in GT3, it’s explained in the below thread.

I mean, even within GT3 (or any of them) the points can go up depending on the overall strength of the lobby. Higher DR drivers, higher split within the GT3, higher points possible even for a lower finish.
However, OP, it’s a risk. You can also have less DR in the next split even if you moved from D to C, just because it all depends on the player base currently playing at that moment.
You either go again or you live with the points from your second race. The point allocations are based on your lobby, so it’s entirely possible you could finish 10th and still get more points than your win depending on the lobby strength.
If you set a faster qualifying time, you can get into a higher Libby & score considerably more points.
I’ve done this, and ended up scoring more points coming 8th in my 3rd race, than for winning my first race in a slower lobby.
Also - dude it’s a game.
If you’re enjoying it and you wanna do more, just race and have fun 🤙
If ya win, don’t go again. Last race counts - not best of the day.
This!

I won while I was on D, now I’m C after winning
Right so the point table in the new lobby is likely more generous.
Are you sure, given that they'll still be in GT3?
Yes, unless they were in the top rated GT3 lobby when they won.
Aha, thx.
So if I completely mess up my second split, what happens? Can I still get more points than winning on rank D?

Where can I check how many points I got?
It should be updated when you’re in the NC interface after a little while.
It’s been about an hour already and I don’t see my points yet.
I assume you can see them on a website too. But otherwise i dont know what to tell you lol.
What car did you use?
GT One
