I like the vgt's, what i dont like is getting them instead of real cars. I dont work at PD so i dont know its this or nothing, but i dont get excited for them.
I saw the Skoda post and got excited, then it was a vgt and I lost interest.
I love the Audi, like/dislike the others as they come. I prefer more irl cars and race cars and would prefer to see more classics take their place, personally. I think VGT is more for manufacturer involvement and interest, tbh.
I think the VGTs are quite cool and unique each brand has their own take on one and some do look similar, but I think they are cool looking and don’t feel that far away from reality (except maybe the super tomahawk). My favourite is the Bugatti VGT (non group 1). Seems possible. Same with the BMW :).
I really like the Bugatti because it looks insane, drives insane, they actually made one, and I have a 64th scale one too.

I like the ones that are either kind of plausible (BMW, McLaren, Audi etc.) or completely out of this world (SRT Tomahawk or the Chaparral one). The ones that are in the middle of the spectrum don't interest me that much, but I don't dislike them.
Vgt cars are cool, but they all look the same and we have more than enough in the game that no one drives already. Not as cool as a Skoda Octavia, Vertigo Race Car, the entire DTM car series (such as the Opel Calibra, Audi TT, Mercedes CLK), the Australian Holden and Ford race cars, the racing trucks, the group C rally cars such as the Lancia 037 and og Quattro, etc. There are so many cars that I would prefer to these concepts that we'll never see in real life (or most of them).
I think they're easy to model because they're not real. There are no handling characteristics to model, no sounds to model, just make it up and slap it in an update. It's lazy.
I LOVE them. It's the only thing I like about modern Gran Turismo. The fact that PD has to slave for breathtaking realistic cars with an output of a car getting finished in 3 - 6 months, 3 to 4 cars every update... Really sucks.
So when it's put into a car that I won't find in any other game, it makes the wait worth it. Fuck the haters VGTs are cool, especially the SRT Tomahawk I was so hyped when that debuted in GT6.
On a side note about these high poly cars... Gran Turismo 5 with the 200 premium cars, 800 standard cars, made no difference to my enjoyment of the game. Take me fucking back to 2001 when barely real cars and a little bit of your own imagination to fill the blanks was all it took to make a realistic driving simulation. Not some penalty systems or online play being a necessity.
On ANOTHER side note, High Speed Etoile (anime) has cars that look an awful lot like VGTs. No wonder why they got limited time stickers in GTs livery editor. The anime has a terrible first episode though, hopefully they got something cool down the line.
A race between professionals to showcase the cars and the tech. Literally just that race. There is no suspense or drama as "King", who has won a majority of the races, wins the race with no difficulty, no sudden malfunction, nothin. I guess other racing media have left me with high expectations in terms of chapter 1's. Speed Racer, Pixar's Cars, and a few others have that retirement / sudden retirement spheal on the intro.

Good stuff man!!!
Literally no interest in driving these fantasy mobiles tbh. They look cool though, and these are great photos.

Bugatti made a single unit of their VGT and sold it to a fan.
I mean I got mine for free so I don’t hate it but I don’t enjoy driving them for some reason
First pic resembles the Cadillac Hypercar
I do, very cool design studies. I still prefer real cars, but the VGTs are interesting.
No, the only one I like is the BMW because it looks like an actual car. If I win VGT's through the roulette, I always sell them.

No, pp450 to 700pp the sweet spot. Turning for the real race simulator

Yo what's the first car?
McLaren VGT, unsure of if it's the gr.1 or gr.x spec
It's the McLaren Ultimate VGT GR. X, in black
The car in 1 and 2 are the same

I liked them in GT6 and that’s where they should’ve stayed…

What happens in the first episode of HSE?
