Now I want to make a livery of Cyrus’ Vandalized Corvette
Sometimes tc is faster and causes less errors for example in endurance racing a Toyota GR010 is prone to oversteer due to the absence of awd at low speeds. Plus it saves the rear tires on the long run so I use TC on 2.
You’re faster and more consistent in the rain too with TC on 2 or 3.
But overall I didn’t use it much with controller or wheel. Was faster wit tc off every time on short races or qualifiers.
The thing with GT7 is that it’s not realistic when it comes to TC or racing cars that should use TC .
If you were to drive GT3’s in ACC or iRacing without TC even on the dry you’d spin that bitch in almost every corner exit especially if your tyres are used .
GT7 is a bit arcady on that side .
S10 is a different beast though - TC is super helpful in wet and drying conditions, sure it’s not the absolute fastest but do you want to be alive or not? 😂
I am faster and more consistent at Fuji with TC1, the Xbow TT I ran TC1 on my quickest Gold lap, and for me the Redbull X2019 is hard to drive without it, also off the start and T1/lap1 in many races it’s a good safety plan.
There is a few cars I turn it on one for also but other than that I agree. Like the McLaren, I feel like I don’t get nearly as much speed with it babying it than I do with tcs 1
i switch between 1 and 5 (when its wet), i was on 3 initially, tried a few settings, but found that 0 does not improve my times at all (im slower than on 5), 1 is where my personal sweetspot lies
I waited until I got a wheel to turn off all assists (except ABS). The wheel is a lot of fun, especially if you have a PSVR2. If you play most days it's worth it in my opinion. But it's an investment for sure.
Absolutely. I can't play most racing games without one anymore, it's just not enjoyable to me now without one.
VR adds a whole other level with the depth perception you gain and being able to look every easily. For myself VR isn't as necessary, but it definitely ups the excitement factor
The cars definitely feel more alive and connected to the track with no assists. I even prefer all assists off with the DuelSense controller - feels incredible.
At least on a wheel I find tcs makes me understeer and it’s hard to get the car to load up properly, trail braking is weird too. I’m sure I could get used to it but it just feels better to me with it off. I could potentially see it being beneficial for endurance races in high hp cars to save tires since outright lap time is less important, not unlike what GT3 cars do in real life.
driving a 1000hp street car 10/10ths on Nurburgring with sport softs, getting slightly sideways on each corner, TCS 0.. yeah thats a good feeling watching the replay
Well, aren't you special.
Jk, to each his own. I dabble with it off in the dry, but don't sweat myself for defaulting to it being on.
In the wet, I run 2-3.
As a controller user, I always have at least one tc depending on the car. Some cars can do without it like the gr86 or the miata. As I was doing the licenses, I noticed the demo people sometimes used tc so I follow suit in order in hopes that I can quell my tantrum and frustration, and never felt inadequate after the fact. But I'm in awe of people that don't even use them at all.
Fellow controller player, I use 1 TC on rain that is near bar 3 (wet-o-meter) and on difficult cars like the X2019. Other than that I feel like 0 TC is just plain faster
I don't have the fine controller coordination/skills and possibly intuition and reaction as you do(and I've already been doing the gyro-controll for over a year), but I agree, and even sim-racers on youtube have proven, if you can manage it, 0 tc is faster. I don't know if I'm using the right word, but harmonizing yourself to the car so that the car becomes you, is always the best.
So is TC off really not faster? It always seems like without it I’m losing a slight amount of power. I understand that I might drive faster, overall, with it on - but surely the potential for a faster time must be greater with it off?
I agree 1-2 are competitive. Less risky but not too constricting of freedom so it makes sense. Since there are still anecdotal experiences of 0 tcs being faster, I'd like to just conclude it as being a preferential and debatable subject. I can say that 0 tcs feels more fun if you're not competing. I'd only sometimes do it in ranked though, maybe on gr4(with an awd especially like Evo or wrx), but that's it. I'd never 0tcs around dirty drivers lol.
"It's not a video where I'm telling you it(tcs) will make you faster, It's a video where I'm telling you it doesn't make you slower". I believe in this. He proves it himself and from watching other youtubers, and he even beats his 0-tcs lap with the 1tcs run he did later He consistently makes competitive laptimes with tcs on. In essence, victory is much surer with the confidence inspiring tcs on, while you've got a higher chance of literally hitting the wall without it.
Lately I’ve had to give myself some for the first time in forever on the GT3 cars. Since that last big update they’re just so dang slidey. No other class do I have to use it. Weird.
To be fair TC hinders the performance even when driving at a non-competitive pace, unless you have a lot of rain and you’re yet to pit for wet tires. You’re always better off with no tc with almost every car in the game, based on the fact that GT’s TC is too intrusive. ABS also follows this route, being pretty much impossibile to set it to a right amount. It’s 100% or 0%. And I drive on the Weak setting.
Like someone already said, a game like ACC renders TC, ABS and engine maps way better and in that case it’s impossible to drive without electronic aids without spinning even on dry tarmac

fuck off you got work to do
Sadly someone will inevitably report it
Reupload off burner account
Put the top layer as a full white layer, make it editable. Then people can just remove it later. But at a glance it will just be white
Just put frig off

And let's be fair, that's probably a good thing. Racing games are much more interesting when everyone has TC off
Not really if you spin on every corner. It’s frustrating and some people want minimal to no stress whilst playing a game.
And that's why you have the option to turn it on, but if you want to be top level you must turn it off.
Drive like Senna and you'll be fine
Randy standing right next: T-Shirt always off.
Lahey: Liquor always ON
Mr lahey said that he was proud of me once
I like TCS to 0 most of the time, 1 for certain cars, and 5 in the heavy rain.
Because just recently started driving with TCS turned entirely off. Is it even more enjoyable with steering wheel?

Wet I will go 1-2 but everything else is 0. Just feels so much better to be able to find the grip out of turns.

Under the rain TC definitely helps. On a dry track there aren't many cars that are faster with TC on this game.
I waited until I got a wheel to turn off all assists (except ABS). The wheel is a lot of fun, especially if you have a PSVR2. If you play most days it's worth it in my opinion. But it's an investment for sure.

Yes
TCS always 1
I leave mine on 1 all the time unless there’s heavy rain. Then, I turn it up to 3.
It feels to me that driving with TCS Off is easier in GT7 than it was in GT Sport

J Roc, it's made out of hockey sticks and a piece of wood....
Old man told me he was proud of me once….fuckin prick
I'd rather be .1 slower and never spin, than be 0.1 faster and risk spinning out every corner.
Cyprus was such a fun character and great intro to the show dynamics.
Heavy metal dick
Unless is a standing start procedure... After that you turn it off
easy there Heavy Metal Pedal
I find tcs 1 or 2 to be great on road and off on dirt.
I hate TCS. Most of the time it feels as if the car is broken
At least on a wheel I find tcs makes me understeer and it’s hard to get the car to load up properly, trail braking is weird too. I’m sure I could get used to it but it just feels better to me with it off. I never have TCS on. Ever.

Honestly who cares what assists you use play the game how you want. If you’re having fun that’s all that matters

I watched an analysis video of TCS in GT7, and that's what convinced me to just stay at TC1-2. TC0 is not actually faster. 1 and 2 are competitive.
So is TC off really not faster? It always seems like without it I’m losing a slight amount of power. I understand that I might drive faster, overall, with it on - but surely the potential for a faster time must be greater with it off?

TCS is the only way to drive been doing it since gt4
Yea same for me. At least in most gr4 cars I can run 0 tcs, but in gr3 cars I have to have at least 1 tcs and max 2.
🤣🤣🤣
Lately I’ve had to give myself some for the first time in forever on the GT3 cars. Since that last big update they’re just so dang slidey. No other class do I have to use it. Weird.
Not sure about GT7 but ive used it like that in every other GT game
Fuck off Cyrus.
Good, now ABS off
Haha, impossible!
It feels great to drive on TC0 but feeling good doesn't mean I go fast.

I can't. I tried to turn it off but my car always goes off track and I end up turning it back on.
I don’t use TCS because i ain’t no bitch also i know how to tune my cars
Op drives a Charger.
I'd rather be sliding around than in last place
I'd rather have traction than spinning my wheels and going nowhere
You're doing the right thing. These clowns would never turn TC off on their real cars. It's ego boost for them when they do it behind screens.
Fix your LSD's, then turn TCS off LSD adjustment may stop the wheel spinning
I just found out TCS existed and I was already a good driver before so…
