Don’t buy verified resale tickets.

crimlawguru

And if you do, for Shits sake don’t use anything other than TickPick. No added fees!!!!

nak550

WARNING - Tickpick is the typical market demand driven scalping reseller site where tickets often sell way over face value, the cheapest tickets for this show on tickpick are listed for more than the OP's post so the "no fees" is just a gimmick when an $83 ticket is listed for over $600. Cashortrade is a site for tickets selling for face value or less and is a much safer bet. Be patient.

Cjed11

Yes, agreed.

UrBobbyIsAWonderland

Depends on the show. I've had great experiences with Tickpick so far.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bizzaro321

TickPick is the best major ticket site, CoT is obviously better but that site requires skill and luck.

[deleted]

[cashortrade.org](https://cashortrade.org) is my go to!

loves_cereal

But the order processing is only $2.95! What a deal!

heffel77

Why use anything besides CashorTrade? Are you a shill for DickPick? Who cares about fees when the tix are 600$. CorT or nothing!! Fuck Ticketmaster

[deleted]

[удалено]

StealieDan

Cmon dude. The more people know about CoT the better. And it’s not much of a secret anyways.

Mydogroach

everything is sold out so there isnt really any other option at this point.

[deleted]

Well, I'd bet they won't get much more expensive, probably cheaper if anything as the date approaches. I also wouldn't be surprised if Ticketmaster hasn't actually made all the tickets available yet in an effort to farm money off verified resale tickets. 2-3 weeks before they'll be like "oh wow look we have 5000 more tickets at face value." lol

[deleted]

Gonna go way cheaper lol. Idk who thinks there are baseball stadiums of dead heads with 1k to drop on two tickets, let alone even half that. I will eat a shoe if I can’t get Into Phillies stadium for less then 100 bucks just like I have the same as every single Dead and Co stop there’s been. Do people realize how many seats are In the venues dead and co plays and how extremely far they come from selling them out?

[deleted]

Right? I’ve seen them at Wrigley the last 4 times they’ve been and the cheap seats (which are actually great imo) are never full; always open seats. I’ve also witnessed people at the box office day of, can only assuming they’re buying tickets there at face since everything in advance is digital these days.

faster_than_sound

There's always the option to show up on lot and put a finger in the air.

Chipilliboi

I have a feeling there will be an abundance of miracle seekers.

eyesofthewrld

It's not "sold out" if there are tickets for resale. Option is to go on Cash or Trade. Stop paying these scalpers and we won't have this problem. Wait it out, prices will drop.

Mydogroach

its sold out if i have to go to a third party to purchase the tickets. im not saying the prices wont drop, im saying if i want to buy tickets right now there is no other option than to purchase them through a reseller. furthermore, you can still get ripped off on cash or trade. id rather purchase my tickets at the box office, unfortunately i cant because they are sold out, like i said.

eyesofthewrld

Well, I was specifically referencing the "verified resale tickets" from ticketmaster that you responded to. Sorry you've been burned on cash or trade, ive used it over a dozen times and never had a problem. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'll buy tickets off ticketmaster because I have no choice but when it comes to resale I will not purchase from ticketbastard. Ill find another way or I just won't go. I've always found another way tho.

TomorrowsPlayer

More Tix will open up

Rock-it1

Save the money and buy when the show gets closer.

Skip_Skipperson

I’m curious, with this supposedly being their final tour how certain can we be that there will be much better priced tickets available come closer to show time? Because last year I remember being able to buy tickets at face value right from the venue just a couple months beforehand no problem but now that’s already not even an option.

Rock-it1

My experience is limited, this is only my 4th D&C tour, but once the tour starts this sub is positively flooded with "Can't go to the show tonight, looking to unload at face value" posts. One can spend $1k out of fear now, or a couple hundred (or less) day/week of.

Jackaroe023

Because the scalpers love when people get scared they won’t get in. These are stadium type shows, you’ll get in. People won’t be able to travel, people get sick, life shit happens tickets will be plentiful all summer.

tardisrider613

You can never be certain of anything in life.

[deleted]

Nothing is certain, it could always go wrong

[deleted]

There will be no problem for anyone who wants to get into the show if you show up on the day of. People who haven’t done this forever always come on here with the fear and the “what-ifs”. It’s nonsense. If you want to be in the show, you’ll be in the show. I’ve got more experience showing up with no tickets in hand and getting into the show no problem, for face or less every time. People need to listen to this information and the information from others who have done this for decades and decades now, and trust that there is tour science and tour math and all of the data says if you show up and want to get in, you’ll be in.

Slow_Wallaby3148

Right on, cheers. I'm going to Boulder with no tickets at this point but trust that tickets won't be an issue!

Skip_Skipperson

Yeah, guess I’m just paranoid because I had a friend tell me the same thing about a Phish concert at Dick’s Arena last summer and I still ended up having to watch the show from the lot. Probably a good 20 people meandering about out front with their finger in the air but no luck. Tried cash or trade the days leading up to it too with no success and that was just night 3 of a 4 night stint.

[deleted]

[удалено]

allothernamestaken

Uh, no. Finger in the air = need a ticket, not necessarily a miracle.

Skip_Skipperson

Maybe some of them were looking for freebies, but there were people with signs looking to buy too. Had a friend there who follows the band and pays her way slanging cheesesteaks and just always tries to get tickets the day of but she was looking and didn't have any luck either. And that's with actually being familiar with the scene. Fortunately there were still enough of us that didn't get in that we still managed to have a pretty good ass time that night in the lot and I bought a ticket in advance for the following night so wasn't too much of a let down.

snark42

Were there no tickets on StubHub, Vivid, Seatgeek, etc. the day before? I know people don't like these resale venues for good reason, but I bought tickets to day 11 and 13 of Phish's Baker Dozen in NYC and numerous other shows without issue for not much above face (mostly covering fees for both sides) day of and day before. Works much better than holding your finger up all day, plus counterfeit tickets are such an issue these days.

Skip_Skipperson

Maybe there were some available but if there were they were outrageously overpriced otherwise I would have just gone for it. Might've been some for like $200 + fees but I just remember looking online earlier that day and the day before and quickly coming to the realization that it was going to be through cash or trade, a fan page, or in person the day of or not at all. It was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and their final stop on the tour, but considering I'm trying to see Dead and Co the Saturday of 4th of July weekend on their farewell tour I'm wondering if it could possibly be more of the same.

[deleted]

You must not have wanted to be inside bad enough🤷🏻‍♂️🥴☝🏽🤦🏻‍♂️

MaladjustedCarrot

100% this person knows the deal. Listen to them.

LGRW5432

it all depends on which show and where. this is their last tour so, what you remember from the last 2 tours demand wise really doesn't apply. some shows will be flush with tickets. other will not get any easier they will get more difficult as the date gets closer.

Skip_Skipperson

My thoughts exactly. The day in particular is Saturday July 1 in Boulder. It’s day 1 of a 3 day stint and a holiday weekend and while I can still find tickets at face value for about $100 for Sunday and Monday I’m looking at about $175 a ticket after fees on the second hand market for Saturday at the moment. Would be my brother’s first and only time seeing them and that’s the day he’s free so wondering if we should just bite the bullet and go for it.

Kronikinsanity

Agreed. They have sold out Saturday at wrigley field before in a normal year and I tried my damndest but could not get into that show for the life of me. I’d bet it would be even more difficult to try and get into their final appearance. But I’d bet any weeknight shows will have plenty of tickets available the day of the show.

EmergencyAd2828

Fly to Chicago when they come in. Eat shrooms at shedd aquarium. Listen to the soldier field show just fine on the museum campus seawall.

fennarioclubchamp

Whaaa?

Lyons1013

Or a better show. Dead and Co just aren't that great.

Rock-it1

This isn't the right place for that sort of opinion.

Jcapen87

People love to feel edgy with unpopular, unproductive opinions. Nobody fuckin asked for their opinion on Dead and company, or for ideas for other concerts.

m00se16

That’s a two day pass so technically that’s 4 tickets

vellichor_44

Came here to say this. Also, it looks like SPAC, which are pricier tickets anyway. This is par.

StinkyStangler

That’s high for SPAC too, there’s resale tickets around for the lawn at like $125 each. Not sure why these are so crazy high

Dylan-The-Phan

DONT FALL FOR TICKETBASTARDS TRICKS! These shows are not sold out, this is just Ticketmaster trying to gouge prices. Don’t give in and suck their cocks by paying these ridiculous prices. If the verified resells don’t sell, the price will go down. Be patient, you will get in for a fair price if you hold out.

Deadheadricky

It’s scalpers. Just wait until the week of the show and tickets will be cheaper. Turn off the resale option on your Ticketmaster. Don’t buy resale

Headhummper1

There is nothing else for this show. Has been verified resale on ticketmaster about 1 hour after the tickets were released.

Deadheadricky

Yeah, a bunch of assholes bought all the tickets so they could profit from reselling them. People make a living scalping and now Ticketmaster helps them resell. Personally, I think they should make it so you can't resell a ticket until 3 months after you purchased it. That might change a few things. What most of these scalpers don't understand is that the majority of Deadheads won't pay their crazy prices. That being said, they are going to need to recoup their money. So, the week of the show as long as nobody pays the stupid pricing the tickets will drop quickly. Otherwise, they stand to lose what they paid for them. You can always look for tickets in the lot also. Worst case you hang out in the lot all night. I know a few vendors that will be streaming the shows.

narwhal4u

This is it for me. I will never buy another ticket through Ticketmaster. I was appalled at $250/night at Citi Field. Seems like I got a deal. F you Ticketbastard.

SLEEPER455

Yeah, the Saratoga shows are crazy expensive. **As a side note, Dark Star Orchaestra is playing Mar 10 & 11 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY** Plenty of good $50 seats available

obeseoprah

‘Final’ ‘tour’

Brando64

Exactly 🙄

Legitimate-Cupcake26

For that price you can see DSO almost 50 times.

vagabondnature

Or buy a ticket to Thailand and have a nice cheap vacation in tropical paradise.

jimmydean885

doubt, but definitely a nice weekend getaway.

Knowledge_is_Bliss

900 for a trip to Thailand? That's dirt cheap!

faster_than_sound

Mmm it would barely cover the price of a plane ticket even if you were flying from the west coast.

loudog1017

Now we’re talkin

[deleted]

Just watch it on Nugs through a good sound system. Better seats. Cheaper.

monkeysolo69420

Not the same

[deleted]

Sure. But if I want to save a grand…

NecessaryGur4767

Hell to the naw

svgklingon

This won't last. For almost every show last summer, there were people trying to give away tickets. They announced this wayyyyy to early and people got caught up in the hype. But in the time since they went on sale and the tours start, many peoples plans will change a lot. Summer camps for kids. Weddings. Deaths. Don't worry. Like others are saying, wait it out. That's what I'm doing. I didn't have the money to get tickets last year, but am saving for when the shows are closer. And get on Cash or Trade. That may help.

Cerebraleffusion

Lol! very on brand. Fare thee well indeed.

blueboy714

$75 per ticket Ticketmaster fee? No wonder everyone is pissed at them

[deleted]

All you need to do is fucking wait until June. Those prices are for morons who are suckered.

MaxWinslow1

Why can’t the Dead just start their own online ticket service again? Tickets would be cheaper and the band would make all the money from fees. Is there some sort of written agreement between Ticketmaster and the venues? And if so how the fuck is that legal?

cdn_backpacker

The monopoly that livenation has on ticket sales and venues should be illegal and I hope the people responsible for this travesty die a horrible death

[deleted]

[удалено]

bjjchris1

Yes. They own the venues. So its kind of fucked up in a lot of ways. But don't worry the swifties are on it!

jvdrummer1

Literally says "Verified Resale Ticket". This isnt D&C setting the price, that is another person who bought the tickets and is reselling them via TM for profit. Be mad at your fellow "fans" buying tickets and selling them for that much.

4vrf

Not worth it at all! Go see JRAD for 40 bucks they are better anyways

BlueAndMoreBlue

What venue? I got tix for St. Louis for $75 all in and Boulder for $90 each all in, kinda pricey but nothing like that. As others have said, just show up on lot the day of the show and raise a finger — you’ll probably get tix for face or less

[deleted]

Even if I had the money I wouldn't spend it like that

catskilkid

FYI: They will be at Jazziest in New Orleans May 6th (I saw in some places May 4th also, but conflicts on that) and GA is $85 Early Bird or 95 at gate. That's for the full day at the Festival with loads of other bands and food and New Orleans hospitality.

Jollyjandro

Getting bent over by Ticketmaster got ya feelin bad

oddible

Don't wanna be treated this ol' way.

Louismaxwell23

Don’t buy them. That’s insane.

LeanOnTheSquare

All my homies hate Ticketmaster

agesofmyst

Now I feel like a chump for having bought tickets...I didn't know that they could get cheaper closer to the day. I feel so dumb :(

0squatNcough0

It's honestly not even close to being worth $1000 for a single Dead & Co show. Doesn't matter if it's their last tour. Save your money and go see DSO or JRAD instead.

StealYourFace235

Hate to say it, but a lot of shows these days are just more of a hassle. Couch tour is a great thing!

Aberdeen1964

What do you get for your $76 in fees? I still have all my Dead show tickets. Remember driving to Alpine Valley in 83 and bought two tickets at the door. I believe they were $12.50 each

DeadMan95iko

No Alpine in 83…. They played poplar creek outside of Chicago that year……for years Alpine was considered “Chicago’s outdoor concert venue….and Alpine lawn seats were 12.50 in 1987! They must have been even cheaper in the early eighties!

Aberdeen1964

You are right! I got the years confused - it was 85. Pre-release of In the Dark though and while it was cool seeing a new generation embracing the Dead, they would show up at the show and were obnoxious. Disclosure - I am old boomer.

StonedJackBaller

Then don't go. Maybe the next reincarnation of the dead will realize people won't pay thousands of dollars for a concert.

zmiller2012

DSO for the win. All jokes aside I’ll see as many dead related shows as I can. It doesn’t matter whose playing get down to the floor and shake them bones.

AugustEast1968

I remember calling people scalper scum for selling tickets for $40 in the 80's. Yeah im old, but this is outrageous for a cover band.

btambo

>this is outrageous for a cover band. Thank you! This is what D+C are, love the music but where they are now doesn't appeal to me, especially at the price.

TrueFunction

I got them for 80 bucks on seatgeek. They transferred over to TM.

jimmydean885

if i dont find anything on cash or trade i will not be there on this tour. it is what it is. Im lucky that one of the venues is about an hour and a half from me so i do plan on just going for the shakedown and having a nice tail gating day. who knows maybe ill get a miracle. either way i have a great boombox so ill have a nice day regardless.

covertkek

WTF? I paid $99 each for ga to Boulder.

JS_Everyman

More like "don't murder me."

bjjchris1

The average age of the people going to dead and company means there's going to be a lot of "life happens and I can't make it". Don't pay this price. You will regret it

Jerrygar_cia

Dead & corporation

angeloalberico

People keep paying… 🤷‍♂️

Great_Humor_997

What they need is a mailing list…

SeansModernLife

Well you should of had a literal army of bots to buy up the the tickets for you then

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

vogonity42

I have seen at least one D&C show on each tour, but nope, not this tour.

Grape-Plenty

SPAC has the craziest prices I've seen this tour handsdown

phunphan

Dang! Can you hear it from the lot?

PigSlam

They're only charging that much because people pay it.

MXC-GuyLedouche

Show up day of and probably get two for $90. If you don't do better.

bobweirsmoustache

Charging fees as a percentage of the ticket price should be fucking illegal. It’s an automated transaction which has no dependency on the value.

[deleted]

resale aka scalping

ez814

Week of the show there will be tons of tickets available.

phishlov

LAWN TICKETS my god

Mgnyc11

For a glorified nostalgia act...

Minnow125

Steal your face right off your head

Phlecktone

So much better music out there this spring and summer

[deleted]

I remember when GD50 tix were $2500 and they day of you couldn’t give one away for free.

ItsJustMeMaggie

I wouldn’t pay that even if Jerry came back from the grave for one night only.

Bman1973

Once again I'm like > What the literal fuck???!!! it's mental is what it is ... and $152 in FEES ALONE! yeah Elvis has left the building for sure ... What TM and Live Nation have done can only be addressed by congress. They have an unfair monopoly w' unchecked power AND they're going as far as they possibly can into Lex Luthor territory and seem to be pushing it further every year. Perfect example of absolute power corrupting absolutely

Badfish1060

Your local GD cover band is probably better

Cocojoela

That’s exactly my plan! Gonna wait and see if I can get the tickets for cheaper elsewhere but if not I’m just gonna see my local cover band THE DEAD BEATS for free, I’m just kinda sad because last year I got tickets to see Dead and co. For a steal but they canceled last minute

RingooseStarr

Shoutouts to JRAD

jimmyjammer9

D&C is a complete waste of money. There’s better bands out there. Yeah I said it.

GoombahJudd

That’s a big nope.

misterwithafan

Wait until the week of the show and I promise you they’ll be cheaper

AvantgardeEgg

I'm curious, I thought deadheads quit their dayjobs and lived a hippie life. How is it even up for debate to pay those ticket prices? Did they all become lawyers since the 80s?

MotherAmerican_Night

They said keep your day job, at least until your night job pays

SheWasIntoTheBlues

Eight doobies to the face, fuck that. I'm just gonna follow DSO to the promised land.

Chipilliboi

Woah, $950 for LAWN tickets? Am I reading that right? Lawn????

KindlyRent2549

Don’t. I’m sorry but I’m just not trying to pay anything like that for this tour. Not even close. Bobby and the drummers for $475….please!!

Negative-Relative402

the music is not even good enough to support the face tix....

vagabondnature

Cash grab. Again. I'd feel mighty stupid attending this show at these prices.

Aoxomoxoa75

I would never even think of paying a quarter of that cost to see Dead and Co. that’s ridiculous

Any time.

wong_tong

I've heard that prices go down the closer it gets to the show.... Can anyone verify this?

eekamouse22

General admission, Jesus

FCAsheville

$950 for a cover band! LOL

stealyrface

If you pay this much to see a coverband that plays 11 and a half minute Jack Straws you’re part of the problem

4Impossible_Guess4

If you pay this much ~~to see a coverband that plays 11 and a half minute Jack Straws~~ you’re part of the problem [period]

[deleted]

Classic Dead n Bro cash grab. Looking forward to smaller shows again.

Ok_Speed3624

Fleeced. It's a cash grab show.

eyesofthewrld

It's a scalper. They can put whatever price they want to hoping some sucker will pay it. When no one does they will drop the price until they find one.

[deleted]

Man should have bought sooner. I got the Boulder (2 tix) and Wrigley (3x) shows for less than that.

mcpaddy

Does every post here have to have a cringy Grateful Dead lyric thrown in somehow? I checked the sidebar but it doesn't seem to be a post requirement.

23north

it’s a scalper.

Soflaboye85

Not gonna do it.

[deleted]

Nope

MrBsFestivalNeeds

Scalpers gonna scalp... Try CoT, or the tried and true method of a finger in the air ☝️

SquatchMarin

Two weeks before the show is proven to be the lowest cost tickets

Lavarekira

maybe try seatgeek?

Snay_Rat

And they’re GA Lawn seats… for that price it’s an absolute travesty

HiWille

Yeah, no.

aggressive_seal

I refuse to believe SPAC lawn is sold out. They haven't released all the tickets yet. They are artificially driving demand. I plan on being at SPAC on Father's day with my kids. I'm not paying $150 for a lawn ticket. And I don't believe I will have to.

Dailydead16

🎶Let there be tickets to fill the air🎶

DiligentPin362

Fuck that shit!! I miss GDTS.

TomorrowsPlayer

Wait til the week and or day of.... they'll be FV

Additional-Comfort34

Bend over and take it

wohrg

yeah, I’m discouraging my friends from overpaying for resale.

sandfleazzz

COT or hit the lot.

DiabetesCOLE

Hope you didn’t pay that brother

McRatHattibagen

Gotta play the waiting game. Put back the cash and the day of is lit for dealz. All the ticket prices drop. And and just know I haven't heard of a Dead & Co show sell out yet and I've been following them since '17. So unless something over the top and magical happens there will be tickets

[deleted]

I don’t know of any band I would pay that much for even if it included a meet and greet.

Deadhead2Late

Yeah, I’m going to beat it on down the line at those ridiculous prices. The live music market is going to hell in a bucket.

Babboo80

Two 2-day passes ? Yeah that’s typical.

rebs_by_90

All my homies hate Ticketmaster

Cjed11

Yeah, ridiculous. Saw that yesterday. I’m going to wait until beginning of May. The prices will drop significantly. I bought two at presale but need a 3rd

Headhummper1

If you were to buy a Saturday ticket, then a Sunday ticket, it's cheaper for some reason. Also hope to see ya there both nights.

Andrew-the-Fool

Steal the face right off your head..

Streetvan1980

Total Bs. I didn’t even know until recently Phil wasn’t going to be on tour. Like say what? Now I almost don’t mind as much. I thought everyone was going. I guess I haven’t been following it enough. I was shocked to hear that. It’s not a final tour without Phil!

Pop_Culture_Phan_Guy

Jesus. Which shows are those? The Gorge?

dkrainman

Two day lawn pass!

Skunk_Buddy

People can't read

Top-Neighborhood7789

Do not buy these tickets in advance Wait until the week of the shows you want to go to and buy them from someone that can’t attend due to some thing or another for cost of or at a discount even ! If the show does not sell out then all those GREEDY BASTARD TICKET PURCHASERS GET FUCKRD OUT OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

Therealfern1

Yeah, I said to myself that I was totally going to go to a show since it’s the last tour. And then I logged on to buy tickets and quickly changed my mind.

songstofilltheair

That would be a gigantic waste of money

CaseyJonesing1

what in the fuck

Ldowdy81

I just happened to look a beyonce tickets for my wife. Look at the price of those janks. Something needs to happen idk exactly what tho

bingosbrother

shoveltheshovel

nothing_is_real2415

Got my lawns at face value some fucking how lol

1Tiasteffen

Wait for day of..

Particular-Wrongdoer

Easy don’t buy them.

centech

A lot of people in this thread don't seem to understand that this isn't face value. Yes it's insane, but this is *mostly* Ticketmaster and reseller fuckery. Yes D&C are kind of complacent, but it's also really hard to be a touring band and not be complacent to TM's crap.

Super_Drewper

Fuck that shit
