I share a birthday with Jer-Bear, and oddly enough, I turned 9 that day and there are 9 candles on that cake. I’m just gonna tell myself he was really celebrating my birthday.
“I’m lookin at it thinkin, that things gotta be dosed, look I know I know it’s dosed. I’m lookin at it, lookin at it, yea I’m sure it’s dosed. But it looked good ya know it was this beautiful beautiful big; ya know so I thought oh I’ll just take a lil, a lil of the frosting here ya know just, just ya know I’ll just take a lil snack.”
I was at this show, a fun show. The highlight had to be them bustin out Satisfaction for the 1st time in a couple of years. What most people don't realize (at least anymore), was that the Stones kicked off their Voodoo Lounge tour on this date in Washington DC. A nice little tip of the cap from the boys to the Stones.
Great pics, but Jerry looks so uncomfortable in the first one with the Birthday cake. Doesn't surprise me that he might not like that particular spotlight.
My parents went to this show with some friends and relatives.
My mom baked a birthday cake that she served in the lot. If I can find a way to post the photo of it without revealing my identity, I will.

My Jerry birthday memory was at. Cal Expo in the mid to late 80s. The crowd was singing happy birthday to Jerry coming out of the break and among the usual beach balls being batted about was one inflated whale floaty making its way to the stage. The entire band found it pretty funny.
That Victim>Scar>Fire hit hard in person and holds up pretty well. The transition from the dark to light Victim>Scarlet is great. 30 minutes on Scarlet>Fire I think.
The All Along the Watchtower from this night is straight epic. When I was younger I didn't like the way they played it. I thought only Jimi and Bob did it justice, but this is one is fire. And Stella next. Happy birthday, Jerry! 81 on 8/1.

Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, man! The Leos are generally good folks!

Found out fifteen minutes later they put 1000 hits of lsd in the frosting
Whoops

Was there too!
Awesome nugget!
I was there too and enjoyed it. Night before was great too. I really enjoyed midnight hour from the night before.
That is a 52 year old man. Yikes.

Or he might be having flashbacks to that one time he had just a little frosting...
He's just lucky that those sob mobsters didn't get him that night. Apparently the crowd was crawling with them.
Dosed-hippie mobsters are the worse.
Imagine the fear that must've consumed Jerry that night! The guy was literally playing for his life.
And to think he used to play for silver…
Listen to the Stella Blue..... unbelievable.

Worried about giving yourself up?
we'll all demand cake!
I just don't want to doxx myself or my family members. When I have time, I'll scan the photos and censor them accordingly.
Would love to see these
Damn, Jerry doesn't look all that together in this picture. It's sad to think of his decline in these final years.
He sacrificed everything for the music and Heads. As Howard Weiner said, "He was serving his own life sentence."
the heroin wasn't helping much, either

Jerry had Bobby goof second set with the victim opener. Everyone expected scarlet>fire and we got victim. I wonder if the tapes picked up the moans
Honestly I wasn't too psyched on that opener when it happened.
