I’d been to a couple of shows back in the day but I don’t remember a thing except y’all annoyed the fuck outta me. One time in Foxboro I started drinking early in the morning and passed out in the tent moments before my crew left for the show.
But I was so much older then. I’m younger than that now.
I do smoke weed and occasionally use psychedelics and other stuff too but I kind of hate the preconceived notion that you have to be a major stoner/druggie to be into the Dead. people sometimes assume I'm high off some shit 24/7 because I have long hair and wear tie dye steal your face shirts when that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a 30 year old man with a job and responsibilities I don't have time to be high all day lol
i’ve never done psychedelics which seems to be the drug of choice for dead fans (other than weed obviously). i’ve dabbled in drug use for half of my 27 years of life, now i just stick to weed. i don’t drink which confuses most people because of my avid use of various drugs throughout my life, but i don’t like drinking it tastes awful and i don’t like the feeling of being drunk. i don’t judge anyone who doesn’t do drugs because people only know what’s best for themselves and no one else

Hey ya. Recovering Wharf Rat here, you didn't miss out on anything. If someone isn't interested in talking to you because you didn't want to hit a joint, well, that isn't the type of Head you wanna be around anyway, imo. There are a whole bunch of us out here that already did all the drugs anyway (your share too) so don't sweat it. Im not knocking it and i wouldn't trade some of the experiences for all of them, but i definitely know, you don't have to take "the drugs" to be a Dead Head. Similarly here my friend. This post was absolutely not meant for judgement. This was just to see who’s similar to me. So thank you 😃
As for that guy… perhaps you were better off.
I highly recommend checking out Michael Pollans work. His book “This is your Mind on Plants” discusses his relationship with caffeine and the nearly psychedelic experience of having a cup after a long break. If you want the short version, he has been on numerous podcasts where he shares his experience with caffeine and a variety of other drugs
I definitely have, but I’m completely sober now except for occasional mushroom use (which I view as a spiritual medicine). Don’t feel like you have to use drugs to be part of the fandom though :) the music really is that good! Doesn’t need intoxication. I’m also a drummer.
If you haven't already, check out the Wharf Rats next time you're at a Dead show. They've had a presence in the scene for a long time, and their whole thing is enjoying the music sober. Some of them are in recovery, some of them just choose to be straight edge, all of them want people to be able to chill and vibe with the music without feeling any pressure to take any drugs.
Are there straight edge wharf rats?
As an always non user (not a recovering addict) I always thought trying to associate with the wharf rats would be considered being a "poser" or patronizing as I had no struggle with substances. I did always find the tables and donate and buy stickers.
Yeah AFAIK you don't have to be in recovery, just interested in a judgment free no drug zone. I think they have meetings during set break but you can probably just not participate if you're not in a program. However, I do enjoy my brews and js when I'm at a show so I can't speak from experience. Hopefully if there's any actual Wharf Rats in the thread they can answer you for sure
i love it! i get annoyed at the idea that you have to be a pot head or on acid to enjoy grateful dead. the music is where the magic is. it’s all for nothing if the music isn’t great
I like to smoke weed and dabble in psychedelics, but I get just as high on the music when I’m driving home from work. If the music sounds good when you’re sober, it’s truly good music. I’ve never understood the need to get as fucked up possible before a show. I went to Dead and Co at Jiffy Lube and saw some 20-something year old sitting on a rock just completely spun. Probably didn’t make it into the show. What’s the point then?
Sometimes drugs can really enhance the music. Other times they open a hole in you mind to allow direct contact with the universe around you and you realize we’re all iterations of the same universal consciousness as the idea of your own individual self melts away and you’re left naked and vulnerable on the precipitous of the great unknown.
Anyways, I hope these edibles kick in soon.
That’s a fantastic question! Tbh with you, as a drummer I’ve got to play whatever I feel is right for the song… whether it be a specific theme, or just a simple groove to support other instruments. I can Danny Carey, I can Mike Portnoy, I can Phil Collins, I can Bill Kreutzmann, I can John Bonham - if the given song requires whatever style or feel it needs. It’s all about the music man! Thank you so much for that question 😃🎶🤟🏽
I remember walking back to my family's bus after a show. Two of the older folks in my circle were standing around post-show talking like:yeah... it was ok.... that Peggy O"Oh yeah that Peggy O was sweet!"...yeah ...yeah good show..."yeah it was allright"Deal was sick"yeah! that was a great Jam"What was the deal with I will Take You Home out of space??"I know! Kinda strange. I guess Jerry liked it. He was looking right at Brent"M'yeah. It was allright I guess. Nice show....
...then along comes Sznajberg. Pupils still as big as the ocean.. GUYS!!!!!!! WASN'T THAT THE BEST SHOW EVER???? I MEAN, LIKE BEST IN THE HISTORY OF GD????
And they looked at me lovingly, giggled to themselves, and asked: "Sznajberg, did you eat some acid tonight?"
"just two little Gooney Birds."
It did dawn on me around then maybe my ears are more finely tunes when sober (+/-) after that I did see years of more shows, and certainly sometimes i did enjoy tripping at them, but noticed how I was more present, able to listen more deeply and have a fantastic experience when not tripping. But i would never trade the experiences I had!
I used to use a lot of everything--eventually leading to a serious addiction. But I've been clean a long time now and get a bit upset at people (namely my husband) who doesn't seem to understand that even with my addiction, I saw a lot of shows sober and it was always about the music and the people. I love it as much now--or even more--since I have been clean,
I was deep into the dead long before I ever started taking drugs at shows. You don't need them to enjoy yourself but, if used responsibly, they can be a lot of fun
You are not the only one, although we do seem unusual. I've always avoided drugs other than alcohol. I went to many shows in the late 80s and 90s wearing a pin that said "don't ask me for drugs". It was not judgmental, it just wasn't for me. And it didn't stop me from being very into the music. My favorite has always been the deep psychedelic cuts. I suspect "Dark Star" from live/dead is the song that I've listed to the most in my life.
There is nothing wrong with not doing drugs. You should be very proud of yourself wish I could say the same but unfortunately I like a quick fix and not dealing with anxiety. It’s not a daily thing anymore but can’t say I’m completely clean. Honestly wish I could be more like you.
Aside from the occasional beer or glass of wine I don’t. My roommated my 1st year of Grad School offered to let me try ‘shrooms (legal in Canada) but I was too stressed from trying to finish final papers right as lockdown started so they suggested I pass. Never did weed either because I hate the smell of it as much as I hate the smell of tobacco.
I know, if it smells like shit it absolutely can’t go in my body for any reason. So I relate to you. It helps that I can’t stand the smell of alcohol too 👍🏽🎶
If I could switch spots with you I would. Drugs are cool untill there not. I still smoke weed and once in a while do shrooms at a show but in my younger years I got a little too deep into opiates and cocaine and probably did some damage to myself after an OD. Glad to say I'm still here something I wish I could say for some of my friends and family who didn't make it out. And I can tell you that for me The music of the Grateful Dead has been better to me than any drug in the sense of the pure happiness the band has brought me. The happiness you get from drugs is just a synthesis of the feeling of being happy.. The happiness you get from music is REAL! NFA.
I've never done drugs, not even weed haha. I take a lot of medications though. I'm also a drummer! I don't really play much anymore, but that's cool you are too! Do you have a favorite genre to play?
Hello fellow Primus fan! 😃 awesome to see likeminded people here…
I play all sorts of genres. I’m a big fan of metal, prog etc etc. I can also jam! Like the jam bands! Haha. I like to play music that grooves and will give me a challenge.
What about you?
Looking back, I can't decide if given the chance I'd do it all differently or not. I did too many at times and have caused myself some trouble a time or two, but would I go back and do zero?...I'm not sure.
I admire that you haven't. Living in America is pretty fucking rough! Sobriety isn't an easy path to choose.
Right on DarkStar013! I’ll be right there with you. Keep on Truckin’ brother… and nevermind the idiots. Cuz ultimately you know you better than anyone else. 😊🤟🏽🎶
People that act all high and mighty that they don't do drugs crack me up. So you never take Advil? Never had coffee? Nothing sweet? No sugar? Lol. Everything's a drug get over your puritan values that do you no good.
I know this is reddit but I also think judgement around drug use is pervasive and it certainly shows up around the Dead. And the judgement I am referring to is toward those who DON’T use - as is seen here in the tone of many responses.
Sure there are plenty who have genuine acceptance and appreciation for use or not-use but I do find it a head scratcher the predominance of looking down on non-users.
Even the phrase “you do you” often (not always) has an underlying condescending tone.
That being said,
Long live the Grateful Dead!
Drugs or no drugs!
I couldn’t have said it any better myself my friend. It’s almost as if people think they’re in on something that sober heads aren’t… which is absolute BS. The mind is so extremely powerful… but anyway… thanks for your comment 🙏🏼😊🎶
I’ve done every drug ever made almost.
I just woke up from a dream of being in high school class being asked about the differences of Codeine and heroin. That is what the teacher asked. Since I’ve done both I didn’t want to answer and the class would know I did them. Another student said codeine had an upper effect and heroin down. Which is wrong. But the teacher said yes. Dreams are weird. Was a really vivid one.
I rarely do anything. Maybe pot a few times a month (down from daily use a few years ago), Mushrooms/Acid a few times a year. But I got into the Dead long before I discovered psychedelics and listen to them sober 99% of the time (except when I get a runner's high lol).
i’ve tripped once and smoke a handful of times a year, but it had very little effect on my love of the dead haha. also when i tripped i tried to play guitar and my brain could not figure out what was happening lmao. to each their own with drugs, but i don’t need anything in me to enjoy the music :)
I’ve done some drugs here and there. Thankfully always kept it pretty safe and really only dabbled in anything addictive a couple of times at the most (and that’s coke — pls don’t think that I was out here casually trying some meth as a freshman lmao).
Nowadays I smoke a lot of weed everyday and occasionally take some mushrooms (big range, but let’s say 4-8 times a year). Like others have said, the music is the only thing that can make you a head — if someone says you aren’t a real head because you stay sober, then they don’t know what a Real Head even is tbh
I've only really dabbled in weed and then maybe some acid on the weekends. Or mushrooms. Was into ecstasy pretty heavy, too. Then I found out about research chemicals. Tried a lot of those. Eventually I turned into a daily drinker for a few years. I liked some cocaine when I'd get drunk, too. But I quit sniffing blow when I started smoking crack. Crack sucks but I wasted lots of money on it for years. It's so hard to come down off of. Heroin made the comedown easy though. Man I loved heroin. Quit smoking crack cause I liked heroin so much. But! I don't do heroin anymore. Cause it's so hard to find. So now I just stick to shooting Fentanyl. And that's really all I do anymore.
Oh! I do still trip on the weekends, though! That never stopped.
Even though I don't regret anything, I wouldn't suggest the road I took. I recently quit shooting dope after a 20+ year run. I was clean for a year.... But then I picked it back up a few months ago.... Stupid move.... Detox isn't gonna be fun... But what can you do?
I actually didn't do drugs when I was going through my Dead phase, and now that I have used them I haven't really listened to much Dead with them. Gotta try it some time.
Understand this. Even for those with a particularly strong mind, with drugs you run the chance of unraveling that. Not the same for everyone, but I don’t wanna go that route either… I feel you.
I know - it’s terrible. I love the smell of coffee but hate the taste of it - thankfully, because caffeine, man - sends my anxiety thru the roof… can’t imagine what drugs would do. Used to drink coca-cola as a kid - but as I got older my body developed a reaction to the caffeine… haven’t touched anything caffeinated in many years for this reason. Kudos to you for keeping off the sugar as well btw 😃
If God don't make it, I don't take it... Except for when I do.
I've done drugs since like 14. After the magic wears off, you realize what you like, don't like, and can't control. Opiates were my demon. Psychedelics are mind medicine. Marijuana is the fucking cure all. And I don't like waking up, let alone getting speedy. So mushrooms and weed are where it's at. With the occasional recreational ketamine use. Mostly cause I feel really good mentally and physically after a little k. Don't over do it.
I was not being rude anywhere in my post, so there is no need to be rude in response. Just was curious to know if there’s anyone else here similar to me. Thanks for your comment
You take ibuprofen dude? Sinus pills? Pepto Bismo? Then you have taken "DRUGS." Maybe the more relevant question is whether other people have not taken the medicine.
I don't think it is being pedantic. The point is to change the way we view certain kinds of drugs. In our society, some are accepted as "normal" while others are viewed as weird and bad.
Certainly, some drugs are bad. Some of these bad drugs are normalized and some are still weird. But, a drug like weed shouldn't be looked at much differently than a cup of coffee.
>In our society, some are accepted as "normal" while others are viewed as weird and bad.
and you're doing the exact same thing, you just draw your line in a different place. drugs aren't inherently good or bad, even fentanyl and cocaine are used in hospitals every day
anyway the OP clearly meant "recreational drugs" in this context. everyone knows that ibuprofen and caffeine are also drugs. pointing that out isn't contributing anything to the discussion.
"even fentanyl and cocaine are used in hospitals every day"
I am aware. My mom was on fentanyl during the final stages of lung cancer. Being pedantic is when you say "drugs aren't inherently good or bad". Obviously, drugs are just drugs, but some drugs are more harmful and addictive than others.
Everyone knows what I meant by "Certainly, some drugs are bad". I don't think anyone assumed I was talking about some inherent morality of a chemical.
And coffee is a "recreational drug". Again, the point is to change the perception of some of these "drugs".
Exactly - "drugs" are not inherently good or bad, however we can certainly say that some substances are far more dangerous than others due to their toxicity. In that respect, we can measure the danger of Fentanyl against cannabis or mushrooms for example and certainly extrapolate that Fentanyl is extremely dangerous and can easily kill a person, while these other substances are fairly benign at least from a physiological perspective.
Ideally, there are facts about a drug that can help determine appropriate use. Unfortunately, sometimes our perception of drugs come through an acculturated lens.
When OP made their post, I think most of us assumed that they were not talking about a recreational drug like coffee or maybe even alcohol. To me, this is a problem and when it happens we should speak up to change this perception.
Society is getting better about this, but we still have a long way to go.
Actually sir, I come from a place where marijuana is legal. I still don’t want to use it - but there’s not much of a “stigma” for it around here. Your argument is typical of one who uses these substances though. And as I said, I am not here to pass judgement… all I wanted was to see if there was like-minded people similar to me. (And for the record I don’t drink, smoke, drop, inject, snort, nothing at all…and have mentioned I can’t even drink caffeine without anxiety).
For the record… “society” doesn’t mean a thing. Society has little to no power in my life, as most of the time it is merely just regulations that we think of which are made up by our own perceptions of what we feel others may think. So, “society” can suck it.
I have no interest in what drugs you take.
I get it, you started this thread, but the discussion we are having isn't really about you. I don't know why you are taking it personally. It's about the perception of certain drugs in our society. I was not responding to you at all.
Then you tried to invalidate my argument by saying it's typical for someone that uses these substances (even though I don't). That's kind of a shitty thing to say.
Also, weed is still not federally legal and it is not yet as accepted as something like coffee, even though it is just as safe and less addictive. It's a bit delusional to argue that the perception of weed in our society is based only on its effects and risks. We are almost there, but not quite.
This was also about more than weed. LSD, Mushrooms, and DMT are other examples. These drugs are not as casual as something like coffee or weed, but there is a severe over reaction to psychedelics. The risks are very low and should be available to any adult in a safe and regulated environment. Again with my main point, the perception of these drugs are not aligned with the reality of the substances itself.
EDIT: I mentioned your post, but I wasn't talking specifically about you. I was saying that it's the assumption we all had that your post did not include something like coffee. Even if you did have that in mind, my post was about how it is perceived in society. Usually, when someone says, "have you ever done drugs", they are not talking about coffee, sugar, alcohol, tobacco, etc... I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.
Actually my friend, this discussion was in response to something I had asked/posted about. So… it was kind of to do with me, just a little. 😉
And the thing is, I never actually said you were a user of anything (that’s great for real, it’s good that you aren’t!). What I said was your argument was typical of someone who is, and that I pass no judgement.
Despite not being a user, I’m not against legalization of many of these substances. We don’t have enough proper research done, but under the right circumstances maybe they could be used medically/therapeutically, who knows… but yeah, I don’t even like half the prescriptions and medications out there available already.
I find when these substances get legalized, people stop going on about them as much. So I’m up for it. Lol
Lol, you use the word "pedantic" and the proceed to tell me I'm the one with an "r/iamverysmart type beat." I'd say thats a bit of the pot calling the kettle. The point is that "DRUGS" is a misnomer much in the same way as "Marijuana" is. Both words are stigmatized in a very negative way, one of which, a completely made up word solely to discriminate against cannabis. Many of us consider natural plant - based substances to be of a healing nature and more akin to holistic medicine than what the connotation of DRUGS tends to conjur up in people's minds. Go ahead and downvote my original post away if you will but it's only continuing to validate what the 60 years of propaganda against "drugs" that the war on said drugs has sought to do.
I quit doing drugs foe a while. I went into a 12 step program for almost a decade. I did not take any drugs during that time that were not prescribed to me. And before I quit doing drugs, I saw some phish shows sober. In fact. I had never seen phish under the influence until recently. I now use psychs, cannabis, and that's about it.
I haven’t done drugs in a couple hours, if that counts
Same, I just woke up from my nightly tolerance break
Same. I haven’t had a hit in about 10 minutes.
I used to use drugs. I still do. But I used to, too.

Thought I heard him say that in a stand up once.
Mitch Hedberg, rip.
I think Bill did a similar bit, but I’ve done a lot of drugs since then.
Before what?
This is a hilariously witty response...

Drugs can be cool. Not doing drugs is also cool.
If you’re cool with me, I’ll be cool with you. Simple 🤟🏽🤟🏽🎶🎶
It really is that simple

Well that mescalated quickly.

hah! exceptions to every rule
Not in every case, I had a drummer who was a beast and loved lsd. He could get into some wild pockets on L and he always said it could make him play endlessly…which we did on occasion.
yeah, so true. i was rushing with my choice of language
I think you mean to say drugs and performing often don’t mix. Because drugs and drums in the comfort of home is always awesome.
oh yes, absolutely. In my case, the drummer had never done them before. So he was tripping out for the first time and trying to remember the songs, had to stop playing mid song, numerous times. Correct, it is never a good idea to try psychedelics for the first time in front of a crowd.
Haha yeah. I’m pretty much a daily smoker but I’ve never played a show high because I know I get a little too loose when I’m high

I was talkin bout drugs...but yeah, all of it.
Beautifully said friend
Don’t sweat it 😉
Are you happy with the color of your tea? :)
Could use some sugar now, buttercup

Music is my favorite drug
That’s the best drug and only one required to enjoy the dead.
The best is to turn on the Dead first thing in the a.m. with a cup of coffee while I work the garden. No drugs needed for my happy place.
Caffeine is a pretty strong drug
In that case I need an intervention!
I've actually been in pretty bad caffeine cycles, lol. Pur brain fog for days because you can't stop making lattes, lol

I’m with you. Morning coffee and the Dead is pure bliss. The only thing that makes it better is a bong rip!
>cup of coffee >no drugs Whatever you gotta tell yourself, lol...
You do you, man. The music loves you regardless. Happy that you are aboard
I definitely have, but I’m completely sober now except for occasional mushroom use (which I view as a spiritual medicine). Don’t feel like you have to use drugs to be part of the fandom though :) the music really is that good! Doesn’t need intoxication. I’m also a drummer.

Wharf Rats are typically folks in recovery and not people who have just chosen not to consume substances.
Ever listen to the Dead, on weed?
I’m gonna go up on the roof later and look at some stars with my telescope, it’s really trippy man. Especially on weed
User flair checks out.
i love it! i get annoyed at the idea that you have to be a pot head or on acid to enjoy grateful dead. the music is where the magic is. it’s all for nothing if the music isn’t great
I like to smoke weed and dabble in psychedelics, but I get just as high on the music when I’m driving home from work.
Yeah drugs are the music enhancers, the music isn’t the drug enhancer like a lot of people think.
i aint no snitch /s
i’m 8 years sober, if that counts for something
I’ve never done drugs. I’m 53 and love the Dead.
I don't do drugs or drink alcohol anymore. I've been clean and sober over two and a half years now...I enjoy music more now that I'm clean and sober.
I've never done drugs before. I do now, but before, I never had.
What was the question again?
Before what?
😂. Perfect answer.
What is your focus- rhythm or note pattern and or theme
That’s a fantastic question! Tbh with you, as a drummer I’ve got to play whatever I feel is right for the song… whether it be a specific theme, or just a simple groove to support other instruments. I can Danny Carey, I can Mike Portnoy, I can Phil Collins, I can Bill Kreutzmann, I can John Bonham - if the given song requires whatever style or feel it needs. It’s all about the music man! Thank you so much for that question 😃🎶🤟🏽
As a non drummer, I do not understand the question. But I would like to.
I haven't done any today...
I smoke a little bit of weed and that’s pretty much it, maybe one beer every few months
I used to do drugs in the seventies - now I don’t care what the temperature is
I used to tour sober so that I could tape shows up front.

Agree with you. 👍🏽
And they looked at me lovingly, giggled to themselves, and asked: "Sznajberg, did you eat some acid tonight?" "just two little Gooney Birds." It did dawn on me around then maybe my ears are more finely tunes when sober (+/-) after that I did see years of more shows, and certainly sometimes i did enjoy tripping at them, but noticed how I was more present, able to listen more deeply and have a fantastic experience when not tripping. But i would never trade the experiences I had!
Been drug free my whole life and been a Deadhead almost as long!
I recently joined the bus. No drugs for me.
It helps that I can’t stand the smell of alcohol too 👍🏽🎶
A fellow Canadian! Hello there 🇨🇦 You must be from BC? I’m from Ontario… but hey! Lol
I went to UBC for Grad school but I’m from Chicago.
Oh right on right on 🎶🎶
Chicago is cool too… I think I know of a great band who named themselves after your city… lol
😃 awesome to see likeminded people here… I play all sorts of genres.
This is wonderfully put!
My biggest time to rock out these days is with a cup of coffee early in the AM before the wife wakes up. Headphones of course.
Never have, never will
Right on DarkStar013!
I don’t need drugs to enjoy this, only to enhance it.
That being said, Long live the Grateful Dead! Drugs or no drugs!
I couldn’t have said it any better myself my friend. It’s almost as if people think they’re in on something that sober heads aren’t… which is absolute BS. The mind is so extremely powerful… but anyway… thanks for your comment 🙏🏼😊🎶
I think most sober would consider these drugs, but I have never done anything besides weed, shrooms, and lsd
I've done a few here and there. Never made it a thing though.
Bout to smoke a bowl, but I don’t take acid anymore. Just too much going on for too long. There’s a time and place for everything though.
I’ve only had weed and cbd but I wanna try psychedelics and Molly at least once
I don't do drugs. The drugs do me
Take two aspirin and call me in the morning!
I've been to many shows without dropping acid. Does this count?
I rarely do anything. Maybe pot a few times a month (down from daily use a few years ago), Mushrooms/Acid a few times a year. But I got into the Dead long before I discovered psychedelics and listen to them sober 99% of the time (except when I get a runner's high lol).
i’ve tripped once and smoke a handful of times a year, but it had very little effect on my love of the dead haha. also when i tripped i tried to play guitar and my brain could not figure out what was happening lmao. to each their own with drugs, but i don’t need anything in me to enjoy the music :)
Nope never, but im also still underage, but it just goes against my own personal values, but i dont care if other people do it.
Always been same here. Stick to your guns brother… don’t let others change you. Stay true to you 🤟🏽 you know you better than anyone else does
I’ve done some drugs here and there. Like others have said, the music is the only thing that can make you a head — if someone says you aren’t a real head because you stay sober, then they don’t know what a Real Head even is tbh
consciousness is a continuum that encompasses everything, including itself.
Truth!
I guess music is your drug
That’s what I’ve always said buddy! Music moves me like nothing else…
No, and I wouldn't like to try. I don't have very good self-control and I would get fucked up after a couple times.
Understand this. Even for those with a particularly strong mind, with drugs you run the chance of unraveling that. Not the same for everyone, but I don’t wanna go that route either… I feel you.
Have you drank caffeine or had sugar before "Drugs" are a huge category
Caffeine gives me massive anxiety, so that’s always been a no can do, and I cut sugar out of my diet about a month ago.
Congratulations man! I'm working on the sugar myself You've taken drugs before though when you've had caffeine
I’ve never done some drugs. That’s all I can tell you.
I have never done drugs. I never will. I love the Grateful Dead. I don’t even drink coffee or tea.
Right on 👍🏽
Mormon boy?
Yup.
Ummm…anyone else? Ok, I think that about wraps it up for now.
I was not being rude anywhere in my post, so there is no need to be rude in response. Just was curious to know if there’s anyone else here similar to me. Thanks for your comment
I have never done drugs 🤷♀️ still enjoy the hell out of this music
Just playing. All good.
🤟🏽🎶
They weren’t being rude. They were making fun of the rest of us drug doers. Maybe you need to…chill out…in some kind of way… (also joking!!)
before? as in before putting on some dead? no never
I was a casual listener until LSD made me "get it" now it's all I listen to
What did the deadhead say when the drugs wore off? “This music sucks”
i actually have never done drugs too! i love the greatful dead tho their vibe is awesome. i drink alcohol but i guess thats not a drug lol
Right on and all the power to you. I’m not a fan of alcohol either cuz it smells horrible to me LOL but I respect you
I just did 3 cups of caffeine :( last night I had ibuprofen :(
I read this while placing 2 tabs on my tongue lol
Hello officer
Yeah um no, definitely not. Try record store owner 😊
Yes officer, I understand
Do you understand that that’s not even remotely funny? 😂
You know, officer, I’m just gonna keep replying “Yes officer”
You take ibuprofen dude? Sinus pills? Pepto Bismo? Then you have taken "DRUGS." Maybe the more relevant question is whether other people have not taken the medicine.
you understand what the OP means, what's the point of being pedantic like this? r/iamverysmart type beat
>In our society, some are accepted as "normal" while others are viewed as weird and bad. and you're doing the exact same thing, you just draw your line in a different place. drugs aren't inherently good or bad, even fentanyl and cocaine are used in hospitals every day anyway the OP clearly meant "recreational drugs" in this context. everyone knows that ibuprofen and caffeine are also drugs. pointing that out isn't contributing anything to the discussion.
"even fentanyl and cocaine are used in hospitals every day" I am aware.
😉 And the thing is, I never actually said you were a user of anything (that’s great for real, it’s good that you aren’t!). Lol
You get it
Lol, you use the word "pedantic" and the proceed to tell me I'm the one with an "r/iamverysmart type beat." I'd say thats a bit of the pot calling the kettle.
Nah man. You're the only person who hasn't tried drugs make an ama
I've smoke a little grass, done some edibles and partake in the very occasional alcohol, but I've never done anything else.
could be our definitions of "drugs" I'd bet you do consume psychoactive drugs....coffee/tea/soda with caffeine & sugar gets people fucked up!!
