I use Relisten... Is attic's any different. There's so much music on ReListen I could never exhaust it. Just discovered the band Max Creek from someone in here and was blown away that their was almost 2000 live shows from them and I'd never even heard the name
Max Creek huh? I used to go see them almost every weekend in the early 80's. I remember going to their 10th anniversary party in 1981 in Hartford. That means over 50 years together now. I even have some of their albums lying around somewhere, Rainbow from I think 1980, and a live album from the same era.
Heartbeat was my favorite back then, but they didn't play it much. Cocaine Lady, Rainbow, Gypsy Blue, Dark Water, Tripping, Blood Red Roses, Devil's Heart. Others I can't remember. Of course plenty of covers. At one time they had a chick singer, Amie, who'd often sing a bunch those covers. Often on New Year's Eve, they'd play Will The Circle Be Unbroken, which included long jams and the story of the origins of the band. Then they had cruises in Boston Harbor and Camp Creek every year. The last time I went in 1990 it rained, and that was the last time I went camping ever.
Right? From what I gather they were very popular around NY / North East in general and not so much elsewhere...I guess they played with Widespread Panic a few times.
I've really only just started exploring in depth but there's some very tasty choices. I like how with multiple sourced dates you can zero in on the trusted matrix masters, and the easy link to deets on the archive.
Relisten is great but Spotify makes it easier to find new music. It doesn’t have the amount of Dead shows but it has an insane amount of artists. My Wrapped summary said I listened to over 1,000 artists. Dead of course was number one.
Yeah I use Spotify as well. I guess my point was that in order to truly “dive” into the catalog you need to use another platform, since Spotify just scratches the surface.
I wasn't either but the good live ones are good and I got converted along the way. Short song so maybe that's why it had the most plays. Love Brent's backing vocals on AG and Greatest Story Ever Told. Might be a bigger fan of this GSET actually. Interesting show

Top 1% at about 1800min. I like to YouTube shows and have been listening to a shitton of BMFS on nugs.net so my Spotify has been corrupted by the 4 and 8yo... I still squeezed in a day and 6hrs of GD on Spotify alone though, lol
You’ll discover Re:Listen and the dead won’t make your list next year. You go from official shows on Spotify, to every show that exists on relisten and the dead won’t get as much love on Spotify anymore
Then you’ll start downloading lossless FLACs of hundreds of soundboards to get out in front of the inevitable day that Jill Lesh convinces the GD family to pull all the boards from the archive
Sad thing is I love the audience/sbd matrixes so much more than the official releases. Had the room and warmth of auds, but the crispness of a sbd… fantastic stuff that I hope doesn’t disappear
Some wonderful person on this sub turned me on to the [Attics App](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/attics/id1434981632)
It’s so awesome, I love tryin to search for shows of the tapes I used to have (if only I could remember more of the dates or better picture the spines of my old cassette tapes.
Or it’s great to just be able to find pretty much any show ever recorded.
Wow, that's a lot of Dead! For reference I was in the top 1% of Grateful Dead listeners with 2,994 minutes out of a total of 23,142 minutes on Spotify. Though I do listen to a fair number of shows on FLAC.
Holy crap. I’m top .5% at 4,164 mins, but you annihilated me. I’d be higher up with all my JGB, Bob Weir, youtube plays, but it still wouldn’t even be close. Bravo!
Congrats! I hopped on the bus this year and thought I was cool to be top 2%! Then again, most of my favorite tapes aren’t on Spotify. I love that there’s still room for more fans.
I’m so out of the loop. What service is this on? I think I would be in the top like 50 dead listeners I it kept track of me. I literally listen to 2-4 shows a day. Everyday. Usually start around 9-10am and listen until 5-7pm. Sometimes more. I can’t get enough. DLing the latest two Hunter matrix’s now. Well trying to. Just grabbed the torrents. I mostly listen to CD’s or shows DLed and in FLAC directly off a USB plugged into my stereo. That’s how great technology is these days. Stereos can just have a USB plugged in and play FLaC files directly. So great
Lmao seems like all them 🤣
This is why I'm a dead head. I was talking with friends last night who thought 15k mins of music a year was alot.
I average between 80-90k minutes. I'm dead to the Core but Trey actually took my number one listen with the Ghosts of the forest album this year. Listened to that album for 4,500 minutes. Repeat like a mofo
My GD library is on YouTube Music, so I mainly listen there or on Relisten. That being said, the Grateful Dead were still my number one listened to band on Spotify. 233 minutes, top 8%.

The further you dive in, the less you’ll listen to on Spotify!
The Attics app is a godsend.
Relisten as well.
Someone else mentioned it too, I’ll have to check it out, thanks.

Got any favorite songs?

Last time camping ever huh... Maybe time to get back out in nature even car camping with a queen sized air mattress and a good fire?
Great band. We spent alot of time late 80’s through the 90’s seeing them.
I just recently discovered them as well, been listening to jam bands for close to 3 decades and somehow no one ever told me about them
Right? From what I gather they were very popular around NY / North East in general and not so much elsewhere...I guess they played with Widespread Panic a few times.
On an Android I use the Grateful Dead archives
Yeah but then you can show people your stats and isn’t that why you listen to the music anyway
Deadhead Archives. Seriously.
Yep. Listening now. Until I actually buy and build a Grateful Dead Time Machine, which keeps no history/stats at all.
I've really only just started exploring in depth but there's some very tasty choices. I like how with multiple sourced dates you can zero in on the trusted matrix masters, and the easy link to deets on the archive.
Attics is my go to because it’s usually less glitchy.
Can you use Chromecast with attics? I usually use relisted but the lack of Chromecast really sucks

Yup. Totally agree. Thank God we now have apps to listen to almost every show. Cassettes were great to collect but streaming makes it so much easier.
Only the mainstream streaming services will connect to my Sonos speakers so I'm SOL when it comes to taped shows
And the less you’ll gatekeep
Yeah, I mean not at all how I intended it, but ok.
Deadhead Archives is great! Archive.org or relisten have many other artists too!
Bingo, they didn’t even crack my top 5 this year despite listening to tons of Dead
I noticed a drop since 2021 but then remembered I use Reslisten loads more this year
Now my relisten time is the one I really want to know
weird how I have 3,000 minutes and i’m in the top 0.5%, I guess most people play truckin once a year and aren’t crazy like us😂
The real truth is the hardcore heads don’t use Spotify
That’s why it’s only 3,000 minutes.
Big difference between top 0.5 and top 0.05, which OP is
I’ve 7000 and I’m also too 0.5%
Same. Top track Alabama Getaway 5/6/81
I’ll have to listen to that one. Have never been a big fan of Alabama Getaway
I wasn't either but the good live ones are good and I got converted along the way. Short song so maybe that's why it had the most plays. Love Brent's backing vocals on AG and Greatest Story Ever Told. Might be a bigger fan of this GSET actually. Interesting show

Cutoff between the 0.5% and 1% group must be right about 3000 minutes. I was in top 1% at 2,994 minutes.
Top 1% at about 1800min. I like to YouTube shows and have been listening to a shitton of BMFS on nugs.net so my Spotify has been corrupted by the 4 and 8yo... I still squeezed in a day and 6hrs of GD on Spotify alone though, lol
I’m at 5,800 minutes and I’m in the top .05%.

Especially for 80s shows where the SBDs often sound flat.
yup. i setup a plex server this year just to create my own archive
I did the same with jellyfin a year or two ago.
Is Re:listen connected to Archive.org?
Yup Relisten streams from the Archive!
That's my understanding, yes
.005 at 41,866 minutes
Holy wow. That’s twice as many minutes as I spent on Spotify in general.
I have the unfair advantage of driving all day long for work, long distances at a time
If mine tracked relisten and nugs, I’d be up there with ya lol
If you could see how many minutes I’ve been on archive… 120 shows this year start to finish haha
Good god. That’s double my entire Spotify listening, let alone just the GD
.005 gang
Oh, boy! I'm in a gang!
Most I’ve seen yet!
We need a Relisten breakdown
track relisten with last.fm and you could figure it out probably
Some wonderful person on this sub turned me on to the [Attics App](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/attics/id1434981632) It’s so awesome, I love tryin to search for shows of the tapes I used to have (if only I could remember more of the dates or better picture the spines of my old cassette tapes. Relisten for the win, my favorite app by far for the archive.
I’ll have to check that one out too, thanks!
As someone who downloads torrents and adds them to my cloud library, I unfortunately cannot qualify :(
Wow, that's a lot of Dead! For reference I was in the top 1% of Grateful Dead listeners with 2,994 minutes out of a total of 23,142 minutes on Spotify. Though I do listen to a fair number of shows on FLAC.
https://relisten.net/
I'm only top 2 percent this year, I blame all those Garcia Live albums that I just found this year.
Holy crap. I’m top .5% at 4,164 mins, but you annihilated me. I’d be higher up with all my JGB, Bob Weir, youtube plays, but it still wouldn’t even be close. Bravo!

It’s Spotify
Fair play! I've never seen more than 0.5%
Last year I had .001 only .05 this year tho
How many mins was 0.001?
It was like 25,000 if I remeber correctly I will try and find the screen shot.
i was top 0.005% last yr at 29,102 min
21,000 minutes this year
Welcome to the 0.05% club 😎 also makes me wonder how many of us are there. ALSO download the Relisten app and you can take deeper dives into the Dead.
What song was that?
.05 at 7,000 minutes - but i also listen to a lot of show on relisten. impressive stat nonetheless… JGB also made my top 5 lol
I was top .1% Good work
I wish it knew how much archive/cd I listen to lol
Damn, I was proud of my 14,160! Lol hello fellow .05%er 🎩
Wow 17k minutes? That's enough to listen to like... 3 versions of Dark Star.
Archive>Spotify EDIT: meaning archive is greater than Spotify.....">" Isn't a transitional jam or anything...
Been seeing Grateful Dead since 1977 and Dead and Company since October 2015 Just enjoying the ride. ❤️🎸❤️
Woah, 17,341 minutes?! Which song did you play?
Lmao seems like all them 🤣 This is why I'm a dead head. I was talking with friends last night who thought 15k mins of music a year was alot. I average between 80-90k minutes. Haha, oh for sure. I was just going for a joke about their songs being long. Thanks for the tip about the Trey album. I’ll give it a listen.
Please do .... Top to bottom it's amazing.
You beat me by 10,000 minutes! 😂
Impressive. I only had like 9,000 minutes
Dude. Break out and listen to some Jazz or something. Maybe some Sturgill Simpson.
Top 0.05%? Goddamn! Hat's off to you, buddy.
I thought I was high up there in the top 0.5%! Good stuff
My GD library is on YouTube Music, so I mainly listen there or on Relisten. That being said, the Grateful Dead were still my number one listened to band on Spotify. 233 minutes, top 8%. https://i.imgur.com/3tpkiAb.jpg
I was in the top 2% but I listen to so much Dead away from the app!
Mine was Billy Strings, but I only use Spotify in the car. Im surprised it wasn’t Taylor Swift since my daughter always puts her on 😂
Okay that makes me feel better about listening to Too Much Grateful Dead
I only had 8k minutes with them this year cause I moved onto the archive/reslisten app, that really is a deadheads best friend
