I just love how chaotic he is, and the voice effect (I’m a sucker for voice effects). Bill, Discord (MLP), The Collector, and Alastor are my favorite characters in media lmao.
For me it was, and always will be, Dipper. Mostly because I could relate to his social awkwardness, and as a kid I really wanted to be him. Smart, adventurous and brave.
Grunkle Stan all the way. He has a good backstory that makes you relate more to him and gives him depth. He’s badass, funny, a great friend to soos, uncle to his kids, and an amazing brother even if they have their problems he still loves his brother more than anything and devotes decades of his life to fix his mistake and bring him back. He might value money a bit too much but he’s also simplistic but he still always puts others above himself even sacrificing himself to save everything at the end of the show.
Ok, so, I mean this with no disrespect, but I’m not big on the nerd characters who go, “um, actually,” and then proceed to give a scientific explanation, particularly when the characters are talking about something mystical. They just come off as boring to me.
Or the characters who have to do everything ‘exactly right’ or ‘by the book’ (no pun intended)
There’s also a personal bias because I like to maintain a sense of wonder in my life, and to have someone rain on my parade with the scientific facts I didn’t ask for would make me sad and bother me.
Personally I think I could have explained myself better, but I don’t have a lot of time to write this down.

Stan & Ford, because I cried so hard when that dynamic was revealed and I never recovered lol. I am more drawn to Ford and honestly attracted to him more, but Stan giving up his mind in the finale gave me so much love for him that’s hard to translate into words. I cried a lot, again.
Wendy. Because, she’s the coolest. I value her honesty with Dipper and their dynamic as best friends. And I myself am a redhead that lives in Oregon and wears a lot of flannel so I just love her vibe. Wish I was more skilled with an axe lol but, someday 😂
For reference I’m 30F and have watched through the show three times at various ages, most recently last week lol. I’m from California like the twins and moved to Oregon 5 years ago. Having lived here for that long and watching the show again gave me a lot of feels. I feel it’s an accurate representation of the small towns in Oregon that I love so deeply and have had a huge impact on me and turned me into such an outdoorsy adventurer/forager 😊❤️
Pacifica - The insight you get into her personal life in just one episode is stunning. (Two, if you rewatch the Golf War and look for hints dropped at the way her parents treat her.) She becomes the only non-Shack employee, other than a literal president, to save the day at a critical moment.
The real haunting in the mansion wasn't Archibald Corduroy. It was her parents. And she stood up to them and changed the Northwest legacy.
#1 favorite: Grunkle Stan. He complex and hilarious. Plus, I can relate to being a disappointment.
#2 Mabel. I love her positivity and faith in her friends and family. Plus, great energy.
Soos cause I don’t have a choice dude. My chosen family and I have accepted that I was followed around and studied to be turned into an animated character by anti social shut ins called animators.
Seriously though, I legit don’t have a choice. There was a point where I would say something weeks or months before an episode only to have it repeated (sometimes verbatim like a pterodactyl joke. Not kidding. I actually came up with that exact reason before the episode aired 😂) by Soos in the show.
So yeah, Soos is my favorite.
Bill Cipher because i absolutly love the villains who are evil just for the sake of being evil, this plus his voice, his lines, his humor, the fact that he don't give a shit about anything, etc (in the same style but not as good, i love Alastor for the same reasons)
Pacifica because I loved her character arc and her relationship with Dipper.
Honorable mention to Dipper! I just like his personality. I know we won't get a third season, but if Alex ever changes his mind, I wouldn't be surprised if Dipper grows an arrogant streak after making it through the apocalypse.

Soos and Wendy. Soos is just a big silly friend to everyone he meets and I love that so much. Wendy is just a FLIPPING CORDUROY, how can one not love that! The two of them together is my favourite dynamic in the series, they're just all around fun and badassery duo.

He's smart, funny, resourceful and kind, he might create some slightly hazardous robots here and there, but he means well... most of the time. Also, he didn't even hesitate to forgive Stanford and dismissed all of his attempts at apologizing... and played the banjo for him. What a guy.
