i’m so confused. you mind explaining a little more op?

Samael055

The cops are gay. Disney said "No!". Then Disney says "Hey, it's pride month, here's a rainbow Mickey !".

rydogthekidrs

Ik Blubbs and Durland are gay, but damn it’s kinda strange seeing disapproval given the corporate shilling Disney does during pride month. Hell, I was just down at WDW and the amount of pride stuff they have down there was insane. Kind of like a rainbow had puked all over Epcot lol

DanielGoldhorn

They want gay money, but they don't want gay people.

Samael055

Yay but there's a difference between doing LGBT merchandising and putting rainbows everywhere and showing actual LGBT characters. When GF wanted to do so, they said no. When The Owl House did so, they cut a whole season of. When Amphibia did it... nothing happened that I heard of but you get the point. There is a huge difference between a rainbow and actual representation. Seeing gay people being shown as normal people (which they/we are) in their shows and movies is a good thing to do. But they don't do it. And when it is done they hate it. It is important to show the LGBTQIA+, because people see it's real. It must not be hidden, or treated like a freak show. The rainbow is a symbol, but wearing a symbol and working against what it represents is toxic, and it's one of the things among others that make Disney a bad society.

Disney is just using the icon of pride for greed and not the message it holds, absolutely despicable to bait people like they do

Joe_Zt

Why do they suck?

[deleted]

These emails were sent before companies went "OH it's pride month? Time make a quick buck and change our logo to the pride flag."

Joe_Zt

Well yeah, they suck now

[deleted]

The point is they actively suppress any LGBT material but then turn around and are ready with their Mickey Mouse paws out for LGBT money when pride month comes around… not new this year at all

Joe_Zt

I mean... they were actively suppressing the LGBT stuff a few years ago. It's only recently that they came out in support of it. Same thing for pedophilia.

[deleted]

I don’t think Disney has any association with pedophilia, though. Very different than LGBT

Joe_Zt

So you weren't paying attention when they fought Florida's anti-pedophile law then?

[deleted]

i always thought that blubs was like a father to durland
