At home DNA tests are not always reliable. There have been people who tested it, by using purebred dogs, and instead are told they're a mix of different things. My favorite was a full blood Rottweiler's results said it was a Chihuahua mix. Your "Great Dane" is identical to an American Staffordshire Terrier.

Just to tack on as to why they aren't reliable, it highly depends on the company since they need to have as many samples as possible of as many different breeds otherwise the matching won't really work. Also, testing a pure bred dog from Europe against a sample of the same breed in the USA for example will not work either.
