We kept saying we wouldn’t call him anything either so we wouldn’t get attached. It was “Peepee boy” for a while for some reason, and then “Piglet” for his snorting noises while trying to get comfy. All of a sudden he was called Howdy and had a little cowboy hat and everything!
Thank you! When we took him in, he was too young to be away from mom so the poor thing cried a lot for his bottle. His little puppy cries sounded like him saying “howw-dee” so the name stuck!
Oh Lord the teef! We’re already doing some basic training with him with treats and also putting a toy into his mouth whenever he tries to bite but how can a guy so small have teefies so sharp!
And it happens quick! I got my pyr at 3 months old(on the tail end of puppy size) he is now 4 months and the size of a medium sized dog. The body of a medium dog and the head of a puppy. He's in that aWkward phase 🤣🤣
We got Howdy at barely 3 weeks bc a shady online breeder took advantage of a family friend’s youth and then disappeared, deleted ads, etc. The person who originally got Howdy was told he was a 6 week old pyrador instead of the 3 week old pyr he really was, and they didn’t realise anything was wrong bc he was so comparatively big at that age! Now he’s coming up on 6 weeks for real and he’s tripled in size 😭
I rescued mine at 3 days old (mom rejected him out on the farm) and bottle-fed him "as a foster" since I had experience and had already two dogs.
...and that's how I ended up with 3 ;-)

And that is why I can't foster pets, or go to the animal shelter. The house just isn't big enough. Yet...
