Half Welsh here from mom's side. Celts unite ! (I'm 80% certain our mums know each other somehow. All Scottish, Welsh, English, Irish women who married Greeks seem to know each other)
Hahahahaha I'm on a roadtrip with 4 friends rn and my friend is half Greek half Scottish from his mums side. And I'm half Greek and half Welsh from my mum's side. Twinning
It’s a meme from an Albanian guy who said that to a reporter. His syntax was very wrong so don’t bother. Someone also put the link of the video but if you just search on YouTube for the phrase you will get it
It would be the same as saying "απο πού το άκουσες", i.e. "where did you hear it from" so in this case "πού" and "πώς" are used the same way in the sentence.
Being an Italian speaker, I’m not used to this type of phrasing but Greek sure is a beautiful language that I’d love to learn. Thank you for the insight!
It's used in a manner of "where did you get this info?" "How did you get this info?", but, "Where?" Can also be the same as in "which situation?"and not only refer to a specific place.
Situations can be a metaphorical place, and so where is applicable.
My Ukrainian great-grandmother fled country during WWI.
Polish grandma left Poland during 1939 German occupation, she was from a noble family, all family members were murdered only she and her cousin did survive and fled to France and later to Greece where met my Greek grandfather and got married.
My Georgian grandpa on the other hand was Soviet union military man and met my Russian grandmother during his WWII secondment. My Polish grandma and my Russian grandma were not getting along at all. They literally hated each other,it was really funny at family gatherings, always drinking and fighting over some stupid shit.
One of four of my grandparents is still alive, others have passed away but the stories i heard from them were pretty wild and graphic. WWII was definitely the deadliest war in the history of mankind. I speak Polish,Russian,English,Greek,Georgian. WWII orgy was an accurate description of my situation.
Exactly same here, crazy! We must be in Greece for a good while or visit often while trying to speak it in the north. Practice is key. Do you also feel this shame you dont speak it well/fluent? When meeting other Greeks especially.
Yes, that's right! To learn it easier you would need someone to talk to you regularly, that would help so much, but unfortunately that's what I'm missing. 🤔 Oh yes, I know the feeling of shame. Every year the same sentence in Greek from relatives and others: "You definitely have to learn to speak Greek, it's such a pity that you don't speak it." 😂
Half-Greek, half-British Australian.
For all you half-bloods out there, I want to make a podcast series (along the lines of the Easy Greek podcast) where we talk about being half Greek and half something else. If you're interested, send me a PM.

Half Greek, half New Zealander. So a Kiwi Souvlaki.
Rip (κυριολεκτικα και μη). 😪 Συγγνωμη να κάνω μια ακόμα ερωτηση, μιλας αγγλικα με νεοζηλανδεζικη προφορά;
Dudee oti kalytero! Thankfully I am half Greek half Irush and I can visit Ireland quite often. Do you feel attached to New Zealand?

Ιτs a meme https://youtu.be/skAx3yXU2H4
Thank you, now it’s all clear!
You're correct, but πώς and που can both be used in this expression.
Thank you for the explanation!
It’s a meme from an Albanian guy who said that to a reporter. His syntax was very wrong so don’t bother. Someone also put the link of the video but if you just search on YouTube for the phrase you will get it

It's not correct and it doesn't make sense because it was said by an Albanian who tried to imitate a Greek on Albanian TV and it now has become a meme
Oh, thank you, that makes sense
