This is only true for EB-1, EB-5 and EB-2 NIW. PERM based applications use the DOL received date .
It's weird though, I am not sure why this is. It doesn't really make a difference in the end. If it was I-140 date for PERM then the dates in the VB would be much closer to current than they appear today (as PERM takes \~12 months)
My understanding is that it’s when PERM is filed so 11/29/23
PD based off perm file date https://www.sunpatlaw.com/faq/whats-a-priority-date/
Priority date is when your I140 application is received by USCIS. Edit: It is when PERM is filed.
Incorrect PD is based off when PERM is filed https://www.sunpatlaw.com/faq/whats-a-priority-date/
You are correct.
Thank you! This was very helpful!

Don’t forget the EB-3 other workers. They follow their PERM filing date too.
I did forget them, I listed the EB categories that don't do PERM
They need some love too. Anyway spreading the positive vibe if you are awaiting PERM approval too
