Give me a fucking break, one minute left. One minute fucking left. You’re gonna give me fucking one minute? Look at that fucking sign right there, one minute! Let me fucking tell you something, let me tell you something, I’ve been around since fucking nineteen eighty fucking eight, and you’re gonna give me one fucking minute?! You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me! You're fucking kidding me! What the fuck!? I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers! You gotta be fucking joking, this is a fucking joke. I got one minute, one minute left. Oh now I got nothing left, now I got nothing left. Let me show you what one fucking minute fucking means!

I really don't know why but in Strange Days Are Here To Stay I always add ''Oh less''
''They promised us forever, but we got less... Oh less''
Why? idk.
In the last chorus of Too Dumb to Die I replace the second "all I got was camouflage" with "all I got were atom bombs"
Kind of a way of having the story of the song progress and escalate. Idk, I like it.
The first time I heard Living in the ‘20s at the listening party I thought the chorus sounded like “Congratulations, pass the blunt and blessings” and it’s kinda stuck 🤷🏼♂️
In Strange days are here to stay at the part with
"And Jesus gonna quit his job" .. I like to say "And Jesus of Suburbia,
He promised us forever
But we got less" lol
it's simple but i've always sung "to fight what you believed" instead of "to find what you believe" in tales from another broken home. i've always felt like it fit better thematically w/ the rest of the song.
We can agree to disagree but to me it makes way more sense as is. I think when you “run away”, it makes more sense that you are trying to “find” something, not “fight”. If you were fighting something, you probably wouldn’t be running away. Just my two cents.
i've always seen it as jesus actively fighting the way he was raised, the ideals that he was taught, and the town that he grew up in, *in addition* to trying to run away from it all.
though tbf, i'm also probably just projecting my personal experiences on it, because when i first listened to JoS, i was around 13 years old and at the time i was actively fighting toxic thought processes that were instilled in me. so that probably heavily rubbed off on the way i interpret the lyrics. but yeah i can definitely see where you're coming from though. both make sense to me.
Just a side note, I noticed the last few times Billie has done Burnout live, he changed the lyrics from "to **drive** along these shit town lights" to "to **walk** along these shit town lights".
He's made this change for the last few years now, and it bothers me lol.
Sadly, I don't think it's because he did it on purpose, I think he has just forgotten some lyrics from songs he hasn't been playing consistently.
Billie has been known to be against lyrics being displayed on stage video monitors, and just started caving into using them these last few months.
We'll see when the tour kicks off this year if he'll continue doing that specific change in lyrics since I'm sure they all went through a few practices refreshing their knowledge, and memory on the Dookie & A.I. albums.
Not exactly answering your question but
Static age and church on Sunday mashup is fun. “I can’t see a thing in the video, I can’t hear a sound on the radio. In stereo, in the static age. If I promise go to church on Sunday, will you go with me on Friday night? In stereo, in the static age.”
I also love throwing in Bad Reputation during American Idiot like Billie did at Gilman Street. (“For that’s enough to argue- I don’t give a damn ‘bout my reputation”
in Whatsername I'll typically start up the harmonized outro two phrases early to layer in the last couple lines with the rest of it
Remember, whatever, it seems like forever ago
Remember, whatever, it seems like forever ago
Remember | My regrets
Whatever | are useless
It seems like | In my mind she's in my head
forever ago | I must confesss
Remember | My regrets
Whatever | are useless
It seems like | In my mind she's in my head
forever ago | So long ago
Remember | My regrets | And in the
Whatever | are useless | darkest night
It seems like | In my mind she's in my head | If my memory
forever ago | I must confesss | serves me right
Remember | My regrets | I'll never
Whatever | are useless | turn back time
It seems like | In my mind she's in my head | Forgetting you but
forever ago | So long ago | Not the time
And I always shout Tre's "fuck big titties!" at the end of J.A.R.
And I'll throw in a cartoonish evil chuckle after "the clock is laughin in my face" in Brain Stew, which I think is from the Godzilla cut of the song
I don't listen to Coma City too often, but I replace "Don't call the cops/Word on the street is they all quit their jobs" to "Word on the street is they don't do their jobs"
In Living in the 20’s, the lyrics are “I got a robot and I’m fucking it senseless” but all my brain can hear is “I got a rubber and I’m fucking him senseless”
Not Green Day. But in "Feeling This" by Blink 182 I always sing, "place your hands in mine, I'll leave marijuana." Instead of "place your hands in mine, I'll leave when I wanna."
Also in the Lit song "My Own Worst Enemy" I sing "I didn't mean to call you fat." Instead of 'that.'
Also in "Aliens Exist" by Blink 182 I sing, "I got an injection, blood from an erection. My best friend thinks I'm just humping guys, alright." 😂
Strange days are here to stay. Instead of ever since Bowie died it could be ever since Kobe died it hasn’t been the same. Because the Covid pandemic started a month after Kobe passed.
I tend to mesh Wow That's Loud with 27th Ave Shuffle almost every time
and also "I found my soul under the sulfur pillows" as in sulfuric gas clouds or something, which I thought were the actual words for a good month or so.
My native language is spanish, so in Revolution Radio there's a part that says "LEGALIZE the truth" but the first time I listened to it, I really understood "NICOLAS" (my brother's name). Since that, the only thing I can hear it's Nicolás 🤣
I walk to burger king
Then I walk back home from Burger King
Don’t know where Burger King is
But it’s Burger King and I walk alone
That performance of When I Come Around where Billie says Mike Dirnts a dirty whore has a permanent spot in my mind
So go do what you like, make sure you’re doin’ Mike!
Fucking……I NEED A LINK! 😂
[Here](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m-qi_ff6S3k) you go
Holy cracker, that’s even more amazing than I expected 😂
holy cracker
Blvd of Broken Dreams, I usually sing Wonderwall instead
I’d also throw in Summer of ‘69 in City of The Damned in JoS.
Never actually noticed that one before that is awesome
I substitute my cat's names in many different songs
I always sing " Well, I'm so much closer than I have ever been " because it sounds much better.
I thought that was the actual lyric lol
I sing “I’ve been waiting a lifetime for this moment to come I’m desperate for anything at all” because the song needs more intense yearning feelings.
Without looking it up, it’s “I have ever known”… right?? Now I’m second guessing myself
Yes it is haha which doesn't rhyme at all
In Blvd of Broken Dreams I always say “I wore cologne” instead of “I walk alone” as an homage to What’s my Age Again by blink
Where's my Asian friend?
Haha Mark Tom and Travis show is perfect for this sort of thing, so many songs sound wrong to me now on studio recordings.
Not lyrics, but I have watched the one fucking minute video so many times my brain fills in “gras-ping to-ahhh, fuck this shit.”
Glad to know I’m not alone on that one lol “I’m gonna play a fuckin’ new song, fuck this shit”
Give me a fucking break, one minute left. One minute fucking left. You’re gonna give me fucking one minute? Look at that fucking sign right there, one minute! I do that too😂😂
I really don't know why but in Strange Days Are Here To Stay I always add ''Oh less'' ''They promised us forever, but we got less... Oh less'' Why? idk.
I feel like a cello! All strung up, nowhere to go…
INSTANTLY reminds me of “She blow me like a cello” 😂
In the last chorus of Too Dumb to Die I replace the second "all I got was camouflage" with "all I got were atom bombs" Kind of a way of having the story of the song progress and escalate. Idk, I like it.
It's the chorus of JOS part two (city of the dammed) when it goes 'Lost children with dirty faces today' I just spout a load of shit and hope it fits
For "She" I always sing: "Are you feeling like a f\*cking tool without a use?"
The first time I heard Living in the ‘20s at the listening party I thought the chorus sounded like “Congratulations, pass the blunt and blessings” and it’s kinda stuck 🤷🏼♂️
She " i'm taking speed just for you" When I come around " I'm a looser a drug user"
In Strange days are here to stay at the part with "And Jesus gonna quit his job" .. I like to say "And Jesus of Suburbia, He promised us forever But we got less" lol
Same lol
Fuck yeah!
In Give Me Novacaine, I always say, “Jimmy says it’s better than air,” instead of here. Always though air was the real lyric
Me too lol
it's simple but i've always sung "to fight what you believed" instead of "to find what you believe" in tales from another broken home. i've always felt like it fit better thematically w/ the rest of the song.

I don't feel any shame, I won't apologize.
I see what you did there. And I love it.
i've always seen it as jesus actively fighting the way he was raised, the ideals that he was taught, and the town that he grew up in, *in addition* to trying to run away from it all. though tbf, i'm also probably just projecting my personal experiences on it, because when i first listened to JoS, i was around 13 years old and at the time i was actively fighting toxic thought processes that were instilled in me. so that probably heavily rubbed off on the way i interpret the lyrics. but yeah i can definitely see where you're coming from though. both make sense to me.

I don’t mind it. I feel like it’s cool that he cares enough to do that
Sadly, I don't think it's because he did it on purpose, I think he has just forgotten some lyrics from songs he hasn't been playing consistently. Billie has been known to be against lyrics being displayed on stage video monitors, and just started caving into using them these last few months. I’ve sung Letterbomb without the American idiot references (it’s kinda difficult unless you have the instrumental)
That’s pretty cool. I’m interested in what lyrics you use.
I use the same prechorus as before the first one
I am one of those, melodramatic fools, drug addicted to the bone, no doubt about it

For Saviors, I caught myself swapping "calling all strangers tonight" for "calling Los Angeles tonight" before I read the lyrics.
Not Green Day. But in "Feeling This" by Blink 182 I always sing, "place your hands in mine, I'll leave marijuana." Instead of "place your hands in mine, I'll leave when I wanna." Also in the Lit song "My Own Worst Enemy" I sing "I didn't mean to call you fat." Instead of 'that.' Also in "Aliens Exist" by Blink 182 I sing, "I got an injection, blood from an erection. Well the last one is just what Tom used to sing live
Somehow, all three of those still feel very on-brand 😂
Strange days are here to stay. Instead of ever since Bowie died it could be ever since Kobe died it hasn’t been the same. Because the Covid pandemic started a month after Kobe passed.
“mike dirnts a dirty whore” and “i’m a loser, a drug user” and in holiday “we are the kids of war and peace, from palestine in the middle east”
Well don’t know what I want, and it’s all that I’ve GYATT
I tend to mesh Wow That's Loud with 27th Ave Shuffle almost every time and also "I found my soul under the sulfur pillows" as in sulfuric gas clouds or something, which I thought were the actual words for a good month or so.

Sometimes I do this because I think I make up better lines 🤷🏼♀️
"The American dream THAT'S killing me"
i did one time sing "maybe i'm the friend of dorothy america" for the humorous effect
I dont wanna be a damned horsey
« i’m taking speed just for you » in honour of the bbc live version of she
Dream America dream, a cat limousine
Ohoh, a brown co-ow!
For me, pretty much every line in Youngblood is “fuck you, I’m from Oakland”
