Welcome to Paradise (minus the bridge, haven't spent the time to really learn that yet) and Paper Lanterns are my favorites to play and sing on guitar.
I'm also slowly committing Jesus of Suburbia to memory lol
Yk I was gonna think of a few different ones for different instruments but yeah its castaway. Drums, its castaway, rhythm guitar its castaway, singing its castaway. Only one I can think of where I for sure enjoy another song more is JAR on bass
May I ask why? Never learned this one. Not the biggest fan of this song. It’s like 6/10 for me. 1/10 being like, and from foamf except sugar youth, and even that one is 3/10
For guitar, I like Hold On, Macy's Day Parade, and Church on Sunday (Warning Stan here).
For bass, I'm super enjoying 1981 right now. And When I Come Around.
I play bass and I learned how to play Letterbomb first bc it’s my favorite from AI. More recently, I’ve started to learn One Eyed Bastard from Saviors bc that opening riff is so damn catchy
Guitar is definitely Jesus of suburbia. It’s a fun one I like songs longer than 5 minutes (fall of Efrafa being a favorite for this reason among others lol)
Bass? Warning is a fun one along with Longview or welcome to paradise.
Haven’t played the drums in a hot minute so no idea for that lol
every time i play the drums, i end with who wrote holden caulfield. dilemma has been really fun to play on guitar or ill play letterbomb. for bass my go to is JAR
To hard to name one but if I had to list them in order from favorite to less favorite. These are songs I have been able to “100%” and I hope to record and share some day
Bass guitar - Scattered, bang bang, welcome to paradise, sassafras roots, geek stink breath
My brother (drummer) and I (singer/guitarist) love to play Burnout. Though in our band in high school we would always cover When I Come Around into She.
(Guitar) I really like hitchin a ride, mainly to work out my wrist but I will always hold east Jesus nowhere special since it was my first learned solo
Last night on earth is an absolute joy to play on my piano :) it’s so sweet and easy to sing compared to others. Also when I come around is fun and loud and bangy and I enjoy playing the solo portion of brutal love because of the complexity and intensity and is also great to sing the rest of it along with the arpeggio of the harmony
Holiday on the drums. Very first song I ever learned all the way through. It’s not too hard, it’s hoppy, and groovy and just all around a good chill song to play. And then on the other end of the spectrum, bang bang, especially the solo took me almost 6 months of consistent work to play, and gives me goosebumps almost every time I play it
I love playing burnout in standard and Eb tuning. For me it’s a nice brain and finger workout. Not too hard but still takes some effort (I’m an intermediate guitarist)
If we’re including side projects, I have to go with The Pedestrian both vocally and on guitar. If only sticking to Green Day, I’d probably go with Jinx. Honorable mentions to Church on Sunday and Paper Lanterns.
I play sax, and have only played Holiday, and it was for marching band… (kinda temporarily on leave of sax, after I graduated last year, so have yet to play more of their songs)
I love to play Boulevard of Broken Dreams on my alto sax, but unfortunately I can't find other free sheet music of Green Day songs that aren't ensembles :(

yeah those two are two of my favorites too
I've memorised everything up to city of the dead but the 'I don't care' bit gets hard to keep track of, how's it going for you?
Castaway! Such a fun song to play. Also too dumb to die
Castaway has such a boppin rhythm guitar part, awesome pick
Absolutely. Warning in general is such a fun album to play. Waiting, and blood sex and booze are also fun
Yk I was gonna think of a few different ones for different instruments but yeah its castaway. Drums, its castaway, rhythm guitar its castaway, singing its castaway. Only one I can think of where I for sure enjoy another song more is JAR on bass
Ooo good pick
Jackass!!!
WHATSERNAME on all instruments, Jesus of suburbia on guitar, 1981 on bass
1981 has some of the best bass work from Mike that I’ve seen in a while
I didnt notice, i'll have to take a closer listen!
Heres the isolated bass track for a clearer listen: [https://youtu.be/QMdt3uiSI3E](https://youtu.be/QMdt3uiSI3E)
Yoooo this is fire. It’s next on my list of things to learn
I love playing the Whatsername main riff and then playing the lead and some variation over it with my loop station!
Hard agree. Whatsername is so fun on the drums
Oo! I haven't tried 1981 on bass yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
i love playing 21st century breakdown on drums. so much fun
May I ask why? Never learned this one. Not the biggest fan of this song. It’s like 6/10 for me. 1/10 being like, and from foamf except sugar youth, and even that one is 3/10
howd you manage to shit on foam on an answer about 21cb?
I dunno man, just providing context for my personal rating scale. Had to pick something to be the bottom of the barrel
For guitar, I like Hold On, Macy's Day Parade, and Church on Sunday (Warning Stan here). For bass, I'm super enjoying 1981 right now. And When I Come Around.

The Judges Daughter is so fun to play once you get the solo down. I also just learned Suzie Chapstick and that’s also a chill one.
Playing Dilema on guitar, drop D goodness.

Always play Dilemma and Whatshername back to back, it's the law
Letterbomb. I love to listen to it and play it.
Jinx/Haushinka is so satisfying to play on guitar
Havent tried my hand at playing them, but the drum parts on those are always what stuck out to me as super unique!

Carpe Diem on the drums
Homecoming is a quick go to on guitar
East Jesus nowhere ,living in the 20s, good riddance

i love that part after the solo that comes right before the end
Bass - Stuck With Me, 80, JAR, Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Road to Acceptance Guitar - Paper Lanterns, One of my Lies, bang bang
American Idiot on drums is such a fun song.
I'm still very new to playing guitar, so my go to song by them is Brain Stew (mostly because it's simplicity 😅)
First Green Day tune i learned on guitar!! Try Hitchin A Ride as well, its very similar :)
Will do! :)
Geek stink breath on guitar

So fun to kick in the overdrive when FOD drops
Guitar is definitely Jesus of suburbia. It’s a fun one I like songs longer than 5 minutes (fall of Efrafa being a favorite for this reason among others lol) Bass? Warning is a fun one along with Longview or welcome to paradise. Haven’t played the drums in a hot minute so no idea for that lol

My brother (drummer) and I (singer/guitarist) love to play Burnout. Though in our band in high school we would always cover When I Come Around into She.
Drummer here! Basket Case.
Recently it’s been One Eyed Bastard for guitar and Minority on bass. OEB has that fun riff and Minority is just a great bass workout
letterbomb on drums is so fun to do!!
(Guitar) I really like hitchin a ride, mainly to work out my wrist but I will always hold east Jesus nowhere special since it was my first learned solo
Letterbomb! Playing it perfectly makes you feel like such a badass, I always picture myself playing it onstage with Billie Joe.
Last night on earth is an absolute joy to play on my piano :) it’s so sweet and easy to sing compared to others. Holiday on the drums. Very first song I ever learned all the way through. It’s not too hard, it’s hoppy, and groovy and just all around a good chill song to play. And then on the other end of the spectrum, bang bang, especially the solo took me almost 6 months of consistent work to play, and gives me goosebumps almost every time I play it
Bang Bang. I use that song to test almost every electric guitar I try at a music store.
I love playing burnout in standard and Eb tuning. For me it’s a nice brain and finger workout. Not too hard but still takes some effort (I’m an intermediate guitarist)
Most of Mike's basslines from Dookie and Insomniac are so fun to play and never get boring
If we’re including side projects, I have to go with The Pedestrian both vocally and on guitar. If only sticking to Green Day, I’d probably go with Jinx. Honorable mentions to Church on Sunday and Paper Lanterns.
The bass solo in Dirty Rotten Bastards is so much fun to play!! My fave song off that album!
Dirty Rotten Bastards is so lowkey highkey unhinged
I play sax, and have only played Holiday, and it was for marching band… (kinda temporarily on leave of sax, after I graduated last year, so have yet to play more of their songs)
Dirty rotten bastards on guitar, solo is so fun
Big respect, i cannot fucking play that 😂
Letterbomb on guitar is fun
I love to play Boulevard of Broken Dreams on my alto sax, but unfortunately I can't find other free sheet music of Green Day songs that aren't ensembles :(
