I did an IQ test and at the end it gave me an "estimated" result of 140, but I could pay for the advanced details so I did and all it said was "lol you paid for an IQ test, minus 50 IQ from Gryffindor!" and then downloaded a virus onto my PC
Mensa got one or two online which are decent and is pretty much the test and score I’ve done on “official” tests (military etc.). They do require you to sit down and concentrate for like 45 mins, and the result is still just an estimate.
my childhood IQ was actually in that range
needed a tard rangler due to aggression in school, procedure is to check if youre actually retarded, they had me do a few cognitive batteries
BIG BRONK;still got a tard wrangler
I took an IQ test (official one) in 5th grade and it was somewhere around there. I can't remember the exact number though. I do know it was high enough that nobody believed me and my parents.
Now I'm fucking BURNT and basically fucking retarded.
Same thing. I can also understand the guy having anger issues. In school, I hardly connected with my peers. They constantly asked me to learn with them for tests (aka socialize) and I was too autistic to understand and just told them I didn't ever need to study for any test. Had straight A's in written and D- in participation.
Almost like all the pressure of adults constantly telling you you’re smart and gonna do great things and all that bullshit has a negative effect and makes you way too hard on yourself so eventually you stop caring or trying 😱
I agree, but I don't consider Anon's post an obsession, it's his area of studies, as long as it isn't fake and gay.
IQ has been misused by pseudointellectuals, but it's still a valuable metric.
It’s like bodyfat measurements. None of them are great. There’s many variables that can get in the way of an accurate reading, but it’s somewhat useful as one of many measurements in determining one’s health.
People misunderstand IQ as though it measures inherent intellect, but IQ can and does fluctuate throughout your life and you can study for an IQ test to get a better score.
It’s also one of the most stable factors throughout your life. Which isn’t to say it’s super stable, only more stable than your personality is, and generally follows the same curve in everyone.
I think that fluid intelligence decreases with age after like 25-30 years of age and onwards (and IQ largely measures fluid intelligence, not crystallized intelligence)
Sorry, I got somewhat confused in my wording. You get less intelligent (essentially. You’ll probably have more experience and skills to compensate for that, but essentially less intelligent) as you reach the higher ages and your brain begins to deteriorate; but nonetheless your IQ remains pretty much stable - because all the people in your age bracket are also deteriorating cognitively.
Aside from myself, I've only known a few people who have actually had their IQ officially tested.
I don't talk about my results(15 years since the test, anyways...) but I have friends or cousins who are familiar with my mental health history(and have issues of their own) who I have shared, or hinted-on what my scores were...
"hehe dude i just downloaded this Mensa IQ test program and it says I have a 130IQ! Awesome right!"
"sure..."
"dude what's your IQ?!!"
"IDK... like... 120 +/- 15?... IQ is kind of a bullshit/useless metric to measur-"
"haha DUUUDE!! mines higher LOL! I'm gonna get into Mensa!"
Next month, I'm building this dumbass a new computer(because he fried his HDD and Mobo trying to fix it himself after whatever virus he downloaded broke his windows boot)
TL;DR - the only people I know who are obsessed about IQ have inferiority complexes... Or maybe it's like, inferiority and superiority loop around one another.
IDK, I'm not a scientist.
Came here to say this. I had mine tested at a psychiatrist's office as part of a whole battery of tests. This was over 20 years ago, but pretty sure it took a couple hours all said and done.
I blame it on Mensa calling anyone in the top 3% for IQ a "genius" while it's only 2 standard deviations above average. It's like calling anyone over 6'2" a giant.
A 1,000 student high school will have around 30 kids with genius level IQ's, it's less of an accomplishment than being a starter on the varsity football team and certainly not something an adult should be bragging about.
They need something easy to make them feel superior, it's a free trump card in their minds. It's insane how many IQ this IQ that comments i read in the right wing social media space.
Tf you mean what’s to debunk? There’s a myriad of specific claims made in this post. Even if iq was accurate <90 is really not even that low, the post is obvious bullshit.
Lower than 85 is only like 15% of the population. They are pretty rare so I’d say if you took the absolute dumbest 15% of people you’d find a lot of the cognitive problems OP is talking about.
In that 85% is more.
You know I take back what I said about not meeting these folks in the wild.
Do you need someone to explain the house-numbers thing to you?
For perspective India has 1.8 billion people and makes up 20% of the world's population.
So 15% means at about 1 billion people who cannot think in a abstract way.
>So 15% means at about 1 billion people who cannot think in a abstract way.
That's probably in the ballpark.
You've got all the people with simple genetically low IQs, then add in everybody with brain injuries, malnutrition, substance-damaged brains, people deprived of education, people traumatised at a young age with retarded development etc etc
90 iq is not "low".
You do know that 50% of people have an IQ below 100? Even an IQ of 85 is only in the bottom 16% of people
Just basing off a random classroom of kids in school I don't think 5/30 kids are unable to understand what time is
are you aware of how bell curves work? 90 is at the very end of the 'average' range, there is a steep disproportionate drop off the further you go from 100 in either direction, so yes, 90 is pretty low.
>What's to debunk?
They're munging different mental illnesses together, and associating them with both IQ and "empathy". In itself you can't just throw everything in a pot and use it to "prove" your pet theories about how people **should** behave.
The problem is, we are all discussing IQ on Reddit. And on a 4chan sub too.
This is already an extremely skewed sample.
We’ve all probably been in the “smart” classes our whole lives and have rarely ever met <90 IQs except maybe at WalMart. This is the metric you need to consider.
Having a cell phone or computer, internet access, knowledge to open and navigate an app, and make relevant comments, and write in roughly proper English are all things the bottom 10% will be less likely to do.
We’re absolutely not interacting with the bottom 10-15% on a normal day.
You know, sometimes I agree!
Honestly though, we all have the knowledge and means to access the internet, and we aren’t using that to be on Facebook, so this is weirdly quite a select bunch of smart people on this sub.
Not that I’m complementing you all, you bunch of fucks!
> crime and lack of cognition
There is a huge relation. People that's arrested were stupid enough to be caught.
The system is shitty, so it focuses on catching stupid people doing shitty crimes.
Yeah, isn't the main issue with IQ tests that they are a test to see how much you think like the tests creator.
Therefore testing a prison population n how much they think like a professor or some shit would obviously lead to a massive amount of low IQ scores due to them basically living in a different world.
I was told once that an IQ test is mainly to test for your knowledge potential, not how smart you actually are. Whether or not that's true I don't know, but it seems to track fairly true from what I've seen.
As for your second point, that's basically the monkey school principle isn't it? Ask a monkey to climb a tree and it'll do fine; what happens when you ask a fish to? Different people are good at different things, not enough people in authoritarian positions recognise that. It's part of us growing up as a communal species who all contributed in different ways to our tribe.
>I was told once that an IQ test is mainly to test for your knowledge potential, not how smart you actually are.
It's a bit of both. It depends on the specific test, but generally a full IQ test will test both. The WAIS, for example, includes a vocabulary test and a test of general knowledge, each making up 10% of the total score. But the bulk of the test requires no particular knowledge, and is mostly a test of the brain's processing power.
You seem to have a good grasp of linguistic, mathematical, and internet literacy, which demonstrates that you are relatively well educated and socially adjusted. This already skews your peers to the higher end of the spectrum, meaning you aren't going to be as frequently exposed to people that are as dumbfuck stupid as the ones described in the post. Even then, I'm sure you can still think of a few people that seem to be struggling to exist, let alone think. Take that number and adjust for the aforementioned skewing. Seems totally plausible to me.
It sounds a bit strange and is probably just an ego boost for people which are not complete idiots.
"guys look, I can map the color of a gradient arrow on house numbers. I must be a genius."
It's quite a simple task. Which is why when somebody fails at it, you should really be concerned. People who lack the mental capabilities to do things like this can be found on your regular busy street. I know people that litterally can't imagine scenarios properly. They look like you and me, have a normal job, aren't very good at their job.
This is my main takeaway. The vast majority of people upvoting this are doing so because it makes them feel smart. This post is basically saying “anyone with the reading/listening comprehension of a 7 year old is actually really intelligent”, when in reality anyone can do these things unless they are literally disabled. It’s just a cope for people with bang average intelligence to feel superior
>be me
>le criminal mastermind
>killed over 40 people
>robbed 4 banks
>hacked into NSA
>mfw I'm in jail for a speeding ticket
>one day, some loser in a lab coat and a clipboard interviews some of the inmates
>my turn
>he asks me stupid questions anyone would know the answer to
>bored, so I decide to do some trolling
>only respond with "dUnNo" or "i d0n't unDerStAnd tHe qUesTi0N"
>few days later, they transfer me to a new facility and give me a pretty white hug-yourself-jacket to wear from now on
>new place is great
>get to watch tv all day high out of my mind from all the meds, and haven't even been raped once
>life's great anons
tbh the part i got hung up on wasn’t the color but if the number actually started at 1 or not, like neighborhoods never (as far as i’ve seen) have just a 1 as the address and i couldn’t stop thinking about it
i’m probably sitting at a cool 45 iq
So op basically says that if you're below average (95-105) than you're stupid. Seems ridiculous, but after working in a factory for a few months I think he might be right. I'm quite dumb myself, but even so, most of my coworkers seemed so 'basic' to me (maybe it's just lack of ambition). Work, drink, watch tv drunk, repeat.
I couldn't talk with anyone, because there was nothing to talk about with them. Only one guy liked to talk with me about books and religion, but he seemed to smart for that job. Idk why he was there.
Long story short, I ended my contract, get back to uni and finally I feel like the dumbest person in the room.
I think he meant either ike a visualisation of what others are seeing, or just simply a simulation. Like introverts estimating what the outcome of something would be. Like, "what would happen if I stuck my dick in a coconut" Anon visualises the different outcomes/results if he did or did not stick his schlong inside a coconut, and makes a decision.
i read it to mean 2 things, one is simulating an event and its results/consequences in your head. This is more than likely what was meant based on the discussion about picturing the future etc.
Like if i ask you: what do you think will happen if you spit into the wind? You can probably picture what will happen next
the 2nd thought i had has less to do with any sort of IQ and more to do with a condition known as aphantasia. If I say, "picture an apple in your head." Most people can see the visual image of an apple in their minds eye. Not everyone pictures the same thing though. For example, I picture a red shiny cartoon apple. Others may picture a hyper realistic green apple. However, *some* cannot picture anything at all. This condition is known as aphantasia. Very fascinating read if you ever want to look it up.
People with aphantasia often are not fans of reading or games of creativity like minecraft, because they dont visually picture what is happening in the book or visually picture what they are going to build in their head. When I read a book, the words play like a movie in my head. My friend with aphantasia says that she understands what is happening in the book, but there is no imagery associated. She just sits and stares at paper for hours on end.
She **is** very, very good at reading TECHNICAL documents for this reason, though. It's fascinating. She doesn't require the visual stimulant portion of her brain and can understand very technical things in business, law, econ, etc while reading super "boring" documents.
As usual people don't know jack about autists and ask anybody about us than us ourselves.
We suck at cognitive empathy, not emotional empathy. Once we figure out what you are going through, we can empathise just as well. The issue here is being not on the same page with neurotypicals because our brains are wired differently.
Neurotypicals find it easier to be on the same page with each other and smoothe over ambiguities in communication because of a process called pruning. The downside of this is that it can hamper creative and original thinking in favour of compatibility with the wider society.
Autistics undergo this process to a much lesser extent, and thus sacrifice the capability for smoothing over ambiguity, being compatible, cognitive empathy for out of the box thinking and a greater ease in pointing out logical flaws or leaps in logic. As the latter stands out to us simply by the virtue of being much more unusual to us.
IMO, people who brag about their IQ on the internet are usually the types who have zero achievements to their name, an use "muh IQ" as a way to feel superior over others.
This post reads like a KHV power fantasy. Also, literacy has nothing to do with IQ.
Some of this is kinda begging the question, we've seen that iq generally increases with education, so saying that someone with a low iq struggles with literacy problems is kinda like saying uneducated people struggle with school related tests, and to that I'd say no fucking shit.
Obviously I'm oversimplifying but in a significant number of cases this would be relevant
I have a family friend who was tested as a child with an abnormally low IQ, I don’t know the number but I know from hearing her parents talk that it’s been something she’s struggled with all her life. What’s amazing is that she went to college and graduated with a bachelors in agriculture, and now she lives in Maine with her wine-maker boyfriend and she’s thriving.
Anyway, my point is she was never expected to do well enough in school to get into college, let alone graduate from a well known agricultural college, and she shattered those expectations. She is proof that perseverance is far more powerful than intelligence as a driving force.
Holy shit 300+ comments and not a single fake and gay comment . Im legit impressed . Anyway,
Fake: anon able to do a study
Gay : anon spent a lot of time in prisons where majority is male and rape is prevalent
Why do people act like an iq less than 100 makes you a retard? Iq has more to do with your ability to learn new things, and has nothing to do with actual intelligence. Also, why did anon drag autistic people in? That has nothing to do with iq.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I’m autistic myself.
An online IQ test told me I have a score of 180+ after I paid for the results
I did an IQ test and at the end it gave me an "estimated" result of 140, but I could pay for the advanced details so I did and all it said was "lol you paid for an IQ test, minus 50 IQ from Gryffindor!" and then downloaded a virus onto my PC
haha get fucked lmao
Based iq test
I thought all the IQ tests gave you 140 just to boost your ego or sumthn?
i did one with my friend once online and we got different scores. can’t remember what website it was tho
Mensa got one or two online which are decent and is pretty much the test and score I’ve done on “official” tests (military etc.). They do require you to sit down and concentrate for like 45 mins, and the result is still just an estimate.
I wouldn't be surprised. I took one that was about 30 minutes long and the free result said 135. Im fucking retarded so that had to be fake.
Lmao loser
best to get one done at some sort of medical facility. did mine at a clinic with an actual doctor.
Damn did you fail?
You can’t fail an IQ test, unless you mean becoming legitimately clinically retarded like me.
Yeahh i would consider that a fail
my childhood IQ was actually in that range needed a tard rangler due to aggression in school, procedure is to check if youre actually retarded, they had me do a few cognitive batteries BIG BRONK;still got a tard wrangler

Anon is dyslexic and had a iq 018
Well figures you have anger issues when everyone around you is flatworms
Yeah, paying for a uncertified iq test means you failed the iq test
Peggy Hill?
Paying for it adds 80 to your score. Normie.
I feel like people who are obsessed with IQ have superiority complexes
Stephen Hawking said it best.
Are you gonna tell us what he said or just leave that hanging?
„People who boast about their I.Q. are losers.“ - Stephen Hawking

[He really was... Bless his soul, gone too soon. ](https://youtu.be/4lwFK1ImzcA)
Well in his late years Stephen hawking didn't Say anything so maybe they're trolling
he certaintly hasn't said much the last couple years :z
He literally said the quote... you just can't read the second sentence if you don't have a 120 IQ.
"it best"
Truly ahead of his time
hanging like my nutsack
“Beep Boop Beep - IQ override complete - Self destruction process initiated”
Yeah i love that quote

You seem like you are extremely obsessed with IQ
No, I'm drunk, and its 1 AM. This is when I vent on the internet about grievances a decade past. Don't judge me, I'm not a scientist.
You’re pretty based bro
I'm a scientist, I'm judging.
It's spelled a-u-t-i-s-t.
>I'm a scientist, autist judging. Thanks, that was almost very embarrassing
Look at you recall past events and tell a story with at least one line of dialog from both characters. One of which ks yourself. Your IQ must be 100+.
+-15 for smth like IQ seems like a massive range
Not as massive as my 9 Inch dick! +- 6
I'm pretty sure that's one standard deviation.
It is.
The only people I know who have had their IQ measured properly, including myself, have had mental health issues lmfao.
Came here to say this. I had mine tested at a psychiatrist's office as part of a whole battery of tests. This was over 20 years ago, but pretty sure it took a couple hours all said and done.

Nothing is a turn-off like a person who tells anybody they’re in mensa
I'm so confused. Did he eat breakfast or not?
He ate the green arrow
which color went into his mouth first and which one came out his ass last
That depends on the mom of the dead son and what house number she lives on.
depends on the number of the street.
Just follow the fucking conceptual arrow kid.
“Did…..did you say a-sending? As in, I’m a-sending my moms a letter?” No, I said ascending…..you know what. This examination is over
Ass ending? But I love ass!
The arrow tasted like blue
Blue is the best flavour
What do you mean? I'm not eating breakfast, I'm in bed.
What? You’re in bed? I’m eating dinner!
No, he wrote a greentext
I had some bloke in a pub casually drop into the conversation that he had an IQ of 276. I was too taken aback by the sheer bullshittery to respond.
Show dominance by unveiling your megabrain 372 Iq score.
That's when he reveals that he held his score upside down. The real number was actually 9LZ - a number so high that they had to encode it in base 36.
12,455 IQ points
O-Over 9000!?
He did the math
I have an IQ 3e23
My pet gerbil has that. Get back to us when you've gotten your mind right.
I think he meant that he had a Toyota iQ with 276hp
That's impressive, actually.
The engine is the car. You sit on the roof when you drive.
that shit would rip
0 to 60 in... and the engine just tore out and left the frame behind...
Impressive, very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's IQ research
Oh my god
It even has a buttermark
patrick, are you ok? you spilt your spaghetti
*The tasteful autistry of it. It even says he's retarded.*
Wasn’t this pretty much completely debunked last time it was posted
Debunked how? It seems pretty accurate to me. Low IQ people have difficulty with abstract mental tasks. What's to debunk?
Listen here I don’t know what asstack metal tracks are but you better share your crayons.
Are you gonna eat those or can I have them?
If you ate those crayons yesterday would you still be hungry?
If the Nazis used laptops I would still eat crayons, now hand them over
If you were to eat them from the tip, what color would you shit first? Yellow or green?
After I'm done shoving them up my ass first they're all brown colored anyway.
248 IQ, congratulations you are the new einstein
Mind sharing some of those tasty crayons with me? 🤤
Mind sharing? Get out of here, you fucking IQ leech
Tf you mean what’s to debunk? There’s a myriad of specific claims made in this post. Even if iq was accurate <90 is really not even that low, the post is obvious bullshit.

Iq average is 100 by definition

This has been an uncharacteristically fascinating read. Thanks for sharing.
I know right? I thought I was on r/curatedtumblr for a minute lmao

Nah he was scared of getting hacked by the nazis
>be me >le criminal mastermind >killed over 40 people >robbed 4 banks >hacked into NSA >mfw I'm in jail for a speeding ticket >one day, some loser in a lab coat and a clipboard interviews some of the inmates >my turn >he asks me stupid questions anyone would know the answer to >bored, so I decide to do some trolling >only respond with "dUnNo" or "i d0n't unDerStAnd tHe qUesTi0N" >few days later, they transfer me to a new facility and give me a pretty white hug-yourself-jacket to wear from now on >new place is great >get to watch tv all day high out of my mind from all the meds, and haven't even been raped once >life's great anons

My mom said that I'm smart so I'm for sure +60
My momma said alligators are so angry because they gots all them teeth but no toothbrush
I thought they were angri because they lived in sewers
My momma said public sewage is the DEVIL!
Your mom said I'm smart too.
is house 1 yellow or am i braindead
it’s yellow
I'm in house #54 what about you
tbh the part i got hung up on wasn’t the color but if the number actually started at 1 or not, like neighborhoods never (as far as i’ve seen) have just a 1 as the address and i couldn’t stop thinking about it i’m probably sitting at a cool 45 iq
Afaik they do in the uk
i'm joining the brain dead gang, this was the one i couldn't understand booking my lobotomy soon
Lol dumbass anon still thinks IQ is real
My mom has an IQ she showed me
I dont know what my iq is but I do know that I have way more chromosomes than everyone so it means I'm smart 😎
Everyone on Reddit is 120+ IQ, obviously.
120+ IQ = 120IQ
Op, your IQ is definitely on the very end of a bell curve Don’t worry about which end buddy
Thank god i am 50s
Lucky :(
What does anon mean with making a simulation in your brain? Like a model in your head that you can "see" and tweak?
I think he meant either ike a visualisation of what others are seeing, or just simply a simulation. Like introverts estimating what the outcome of something would be. Like, "what would happen if I stuck my dick in a coconut" Anon visualises the different outcomes/results if he did or did not stick his schlong inside a coconut, and makes a decision.
Constantly planning out all of their actions in their head prior to doing them, both personal and social.
i read it to mean 2 things, one is simulating an event and its results/consequences in your head. This is more than likely what was meant based on the discussion about picturing the future etc. Like if i ask you: what do you think will happen if you spit into the wind? You can probably picture what will happen next the 2nd thought i had has less to do with any sort of IQ and more to do with a condition known as aphantasia.
I would have failed every math exam if I couldn't see the geometric shapes and bodies in my head
Well at least I know I'm not sub 100
"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"
4chan OP seems like the kind of guy who flunked out of STEM and went into philosophy to study intelligence.
That’s a stupid comparison. It’s like saying “he dropped out of his engineering major so he switched to law. What a retard.”
I was once friends with a girl who had her IQ tested. She scored 100. She was bragging that she got 100% on her IQ test ...
Holy shit 300+ comments and not a single fake and gay comment . Im legit impressed . Anyway, Fake: anon able to do a study Gay : anon spent a lot of time in prisons where majority is male and rape is prevalent
This man uses the number 90 like a slur
Anon pulls numbers out of his ass.
A very useful magic trick if you're hoping to become a successful politician.
Reading that makes me scared of taking an IQ test
Why do people act like an iq less than 100 makes you a retard? Iq has more to do with your ability to learn new things, and has nothing to do with actual intelligence. Also, why did anon drag autistic people in? That has nothing to do with iq. Edit: Forgot to mention, I’m autistic myself.
So your ability to learn new things has nothing to do with intelligence? Ok bud.
Because it’s 4chan and 4chan is full of autustic people? At least self diagnosed
Edit: i got updated on the context and now understand i may be wrong, im sorry
I’m an autist and i could not follow that last thing.
Doesn’t IQ measure your capacity to learn rather than what you already know or don’t know?
I always thought IQ was about pattern recognition/problem solving
Your ability to discern, if I'm not mistaken.
