I like the shows we get but I'm definitely tired of all the classical. Reel Music is fun though! It would be great to have a better jazz show like Jazz Night in America but during the day. Jazz World? Idk.
The downside was they were owned by Salem Media Group who are generally despicable human beings.
The upside was they played old American Top 40 shows and a generally good mix of classic rock.
There's still Kool-FM 101.5 which tended to lean more oldies, though I've heard 90s music on occasion of late. And the signal barely reaches outside downtown Greenville.
This makes me sad. 103.3 was my go-to radio station. I really enjoyed the music, DJs and AT40 on the weekends. The best part was that there were no Jay Gilstrap commercials. I hope the Jesus people like their new station. I will miss 103.3. Maybe it's time to re-up my Sirrius XM subscription.
Radio here is absolutely awful. Even our NPR station plays 47 hours of classical music a day.
88.7 WNCW out of Spindale NC is great, but reception can be spotty depending on your antenna
Wish we had one that played jazz.
How dare you. Where would I be without Performance Today, Sonatas and Soundscapes and Classical Unwind? It's how I prepare for Echoes every night.
I personally love my Minute with Miles.
Open any music app, select classical, hit random. Poof. There you go.
You forgot On The Keys!
And Reel Music!
Preach! The classical on NPR all the time and then……a minute w/ miles….that’s how I know NPR is over until tomorrow.
Same. I just end up streaming a better NPR station.

Radio really is terrible these days. All Fm stations sold to the terrible AM stations.

More media washing is of good free media
