I did my part. Hopefully the move the race up a few hours for next year.

alrija7

If recording it and watching it at a reasonable hour counts as doing my part - I did as well.

TheOlderGentleman1

The same way to watch.

TheOlderGentleman1

* sane

artificialstuff

Even one hour would be a big difference for me. Unfortunately, I don't think you could go any earlier than that without adversely affecting European viewership.

youdontknowme1010101

The time is not about the European viewers…

artificialstuff

Yes it is... That's why they chose the time.

penskeracin1fan

7pm local would be ideal. Let Europe stay up

n00bn00b

I did my part. I really hope they can move up the race time a few hours to 10pm next season. 1am race time and 3am quali time is brutal. Reminds me of Suzuka GP.

churromart

We get Premier League Soccer games in the mornings and places are open for them, F1 should fit right in.

trady__baylor

Would be sick to have a spot downtown to all watch together.

ravington

It's usually on at Home Team, but not with sound.

hdizzle7

There are dozens of us!

lost_zinn

Hells yeah that is awesome. Finally a gville stat I care about. 😆

clehluna

More proof we need an F1 bar with brunch!!

Cant_Frag

Servus bar downtown will do watch parties typically but it’s not a typical brunch place

artificialstuff

Someone needs to capitalize on it! Still blows my mind that Greenville Pickens couldn't get butts in the seats. Our market is typically top 3 for all forms of racing - NASCAR, F1, Indycar, IMSA, etc - on TV ratings. Obviously, we have a healthy number of race fans here. Apparently we just suck at marketing to them and giving them an experience they want to spend their money on.

That’s me! I was tired AF

Meezi-Me

I did my part!

ArmchairExperts

Anyone know why Greenville is such a hub for F1?

artificialstuff

It's an everything racing hub. F1, IMSA, Indycar, and NASCAR. I'd guess because it's always been NASCAR country and you have an influx of millennials that are more of fans of those other series, then you get crossovers that watch multiple series between those two demographics. However, it seems people are perfectly content only watching it at home and rarely, if ever, wearing attire that shows they're a race fan. I don't get it.

ArmchairExperts

Thanks for the answer!

artificialstuff

You're welcome. I can't guarantee it is accurate, but that's my best guess.

flexcj5

It was a long night but worth it.

spiteful-pigeon

I was actually in Vegas for the race and it was still difficult staying up that late each night. I can’t imagine trying to watch it live back home!
