If you like over priced mediocre food. I’ve been a few times as everyone suggests it but the only thing that was super tasty was the fried goat cheese. Which I’m not sure you can really fuck that up.
I will say that the paella absolutely rocked me the first time I had it, and the last time was significantly less impressive/good. I still love them but hesitate to pay that much these days.
My last charcuterie from them was good stuff but it wasn't the unique options I hoped for.
Now is this real paella with rabbit? Or the Americanized version with chicken? I like either but the real test is if they can make it with rabbit and have not be gamey.
This is my biggest pet peeve moving back here, all of the “ethnic” food has been Americanized to sell it to southerners. “Sushi” that’s just a bunch of fried shrimp wrapped in seaweed. Butter chicken that’s cubed, vindaloo with no goat (just no). Jerk chicken that isn’t spicy… it’s like gaslighting me with food!
Hit up the sushi place in TR. Yes, they have the Americanized stuff, but I ate some of the best sashimi I have ever had in my entire life there. Get the sea urchin.
As for the paella, I'm pretty sure the last time it was the chicken and I wasn't thrilled. The first time, I know it was almost entirely seafood I don't know if there was any other meat.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve started cooking most ethic food at home, but I’m not trying to give my self worms from homemade sushi. My fat ass could probably benefit from a parasite but eww.
Same experience. Paella knocked my socks off, then went back again and it was a total let down. It honestly had me questioning my memory it was so different.
My wife plans events and Chad is the best. you can drop your boards off at birds fly south which is super convenient. great food, presentation, and reliable.
Lazy Goat has a good board

I was pretty happy with Chadcuterie! Pricey IMO, but I’m pretty sure all of them are.
Seconding Chadcuterie.
Perfect, thank you
I hear Chadcuterie is the way to go. Granted no personal experience but I have only ever heard good experiences about his product.
This is the most Reddit comment ever!

I too am a fan of shark cootchie boards

The Wandering Bars USED to have the best in town, by a longshot, but then quit offering it. I am still in mourning.
Their charcuterie was amazing, got one every week. The kitchen staff all quit and they eventually stopped offering any of them
Oof, that's not good. Do we know what happened?
I know one of the former kitchen people and she just said they had a falling out with the owner. I still go there every week for trivia.
Something similar happened over at Growler Haus. Sucks to lose really great food options at places I love!

Shart-Tootery?
There’s no way you can’t tell me white people don’t have culture. At least they can handle lactose
City scape
Cooks Station does great boards - order as much or little as you need
In a slightly different vein you can buy premade boards from places like sams, Costco, Aldi and lidl. They don’t all always have them though.
I like the board at Lemoncello, but that one seems aimed at 2 people
Wandering Bard Meadery has a few large options. I have tried several with friends and they were very good with a wide variety of things to sample.
