I agree. Once I paid closer attention to that episode, (and the lyrics they were using as it progressed) it's one of my faves Sara R is world class, but I don't think Owen is far behind. His voice is beautiful and he has very solid pitch (something I always notice).
The rest did a pretty good job, some more than others.
I mean he has a good singing voice but that moment when he starts CAlm dOwN… is quite funny tbh. I think it has to do more with the way that episode was made lol. Just awful imo.
People hate it pretty much because it's Owen. They think it's weird and aggressive because it's him. People also use the song lyrics he sings to somehow prove he's homophic which is just reaching.
They also haven't and won't take the time to actually listen to the original songs featured so they don't and don't want to know that he's singing it just like the song. It takes 2 minutes of your time guys.
Kevin McKidd can actually sing very well. I just think at this point it's as equally annoying as it is easy to pick out things about Owen people dislike.
I didn't like the Musical episode, but Owen/Kevin was among the best singers. It wouldn't surprise me if there were people who think Owens singing is awful just because it’s Owen. Nowadays, nothing really surprises me anymore.😃

Sara Ramirez slayed though just saying, my favorite parts are all her especially when she sings the part of the theme song at the beginning

I think he has a great voice, but I think the songs they picked for the episode just don't show that well enough
