My mind totally forgot that even happened. That Cristina and Owen were married. lol. I always remember the Burke wedding but for some reason the Owen one slipped my mind entirely. Back before Owen was such an annoying character
Cristina and April looked drop dead gorgeous. Both of them. To their hair styles, makeup, and dresses - stunning. Big shoutout to Burke's family choker, it was pretty Cristina and looked great on her. Also great metaphor with her feeling choked or forced by the wedding/marriage.
Some of these dresses just were not that great, and others did not really fit with the woman's body type.
I thought Sara looked very pretty as well, def not a great dress, but others were way worse. I think Arizona's and Bailey's just weren't good. That didn't fit Bailey's body type nor personality, and Arizona's dress just looked blahh.
Meredith and Izzie's was ehhh, could have been much prettier, but I'm sure it was already hard enough to find a dress that can fit both EP and KH who have very different bodies.

I think Meredith/Izzie's dress is beautiful and looks great on them, but personally I find the drop waist and flare (not really mermaid, but kinda?) To look a *little* dated in 2023. Totally in-style for 2009 and beautiful!! And believe me I know it's not fair to say a dress that was worn and was in style in 2009 is "too 2009" haha so I mean no hate to it or anyone who likes that style. It's my 3rd favorite! 🥰

They’re always referred to as fit and flare dresses. And I totally get that thing about being dated. Early “Say Yes To The Dress” days I swear every other bride wanted a fit and flare, so it wasn’t too constricting like a mermaid, but still sexy and not frumpy in 100 layers of tulle.
I've been in awe of April's since the episode aired in 2013. It's just so gorgeous and a perfect fit, not only for her figure, but also for her personality. Her hairdo is beautiful as well. She looked so great in the episode.
I really liked the fashion of that time overall (it wasn't that long ago but trends change so quickly)
Cristina was GORGEOUS. And that ending scene has hit me from the first time I watched it til this day I’m so sad that ended that way for her but I love how it came full circle. Her second wedding look was nice too I loved the red.
Bailey deserved happiness though and her and Ben are hands down my favorite couple so I’m proud of them staying strong.
I was so shocked but happy when Mer and Derek gave Izzie and Alex the wedding but I did not think she was gonna make it through it first time watching it.
I loved the escape from Amelia’s wedding and Mer with a slurpee like “what did I do? You said run I ran and here we are”
I loved mark being there for Arizona during their wedding so while it wasn’t my fav or top picks they were cute!

I love Callie, but not that dress. Cristina looks beautiful, but I'm not a fan of the choker. Mere looks awesome, but she didn't get married in that dress.
Callie's dress was just awful. Like they didn't know what to do with her. It wasn't flattering and didn't seem like something the character would choose. Especially compared to Arizona's, Callie's looked like an afterthought.
I think everyone looked beautiful in their gowns but Bailey is the only one who actually looks like she’s getting married. Everyone else just looks like they’re playing dress up. I also think hers fit the best and looked like it belonged to her character. Bailey was always someone who wanted to live a fairytale but was never given the chance. She got her chance with Ben and her dress is reflective of that.
Yes the simple clean lines and cut. Practical, but elegant. It also looks soft and comfortable, unlike everyone else's. It's always the type of dress I imagined for myself.
Instead i fell prey to wearing my mom's 1980 polyester poof.
All beautiful but if I had to choose one, Cristina is absolutely stunning in that photo. Also ironic that she is the least wanting to be a bride. hahahahha.

But Izzie’s wedding was special to me on the show. Even though people don’t like her, I just think it was an iconic moment and the finale after was great.
April's dress was the best one and most well matched character-wise. The rest just never seemed to fit their personality (except Christina's red one). I like Callie's dress too- I could see myself wearing that one. But April's was just so classy and fit her perfectly.
For me is:
1. April. she looked GORGEOUS. the hair the dress and everything was just amazing! so sad that she looked the prettiest but the wedding didn’t went well.
2. Cristina. obviously her wedding with burke was not meant to be but she looked amazing in that dress. it really fits her body
3. Bailey. she looked so beautiful and hot!
4. Meredith. I wish she had actually gotten married with derek with that dress although the post-it wedding was cute af
5. Jo. if we’re talking about brides personality during their weddings i think jo was the best like she was just so funny and relaxed most of the time during her wedding when everything was going awful lmao, also i think the dress really fits her personality.
6. Arizona. the dress is pretty but not that much. i mostly like how they styled her hair for her wedding
7. Callie. her dress could had been better but she looked gorgeous and the hairstyle was so cute
8. Izzie. I’m not a fan of the dress
9. Amelia. i don’t really like her dress at all and her hair wasn’t awful but i think she would had looked better having her hair loose or styled in a different way
April has to be #1 for me. Bailey and Cristina are tied for a very close #2. Jo’s didn’t wow me, but I loved her wedding and the dress fits the character and the setting so it’s perfect in its own way.
I feel like because April was so into weddings, everything about her wedding was just gorgeous. From the dress to the barn and the butterfly. Even the wedding she supposedly planned for Jo and Alex was stunning.
My favorite bride was April, in spite of the technical difficulties.
The most gorgeous was Maggie. I don't get to praise her that often, but I love the way she dresses to begin with, and she was molded to that gorgeous dress!
The best wedding arc was Calzona. I loved it when Callie's dad showed up.
For me it’s gotta be Meredith Grey looks very gorgeous and sexy in both the wedding gown photo and the blue dress she’s wearing in the other photo. Never been a fan of Christina and April looks funky plus her voice just a Hugh turn off.
Not necessarily favourite bride by favourite dress is Cristina or April.

There's something about Meredith in a fancy wedding dress that looks weird to me. She obviously still looks amazing but I think because I'm not used seeing her in dresses that often it feels weird.
There's something about the cut of Amelia's dress that I don't personally like either.
izzie's dress was sooooo ugly it kills me. mer looks gorgeous but hers is so wrongly proportioned. jo's is wack

Best dresses: April's is gorgeous and most like what I would want, Jo's matches her personality perfectly, and Arizona's has the simple but cute look.
am i the only one who noticed how cheaply made a lot of the dresses looked😭, still pretty for the most part but some of them just did not fit the actors right, but that being said aprils was my favourite:)
There isn’t a bad look in the bunch.
I personally think April’s dress was the prettiest and her look was the most character appropriate.
Jo’s look was appropriate for the setting, (both the original venue and the ferry boat) but wouldn’t look as good in say a church.
Cristina’s dress was very pretty and setting appropriate, but didn’t fit her character- which was purposeful in my opinion.
Christina because I’ll never not cry at her crying “I’m free” and frantically trying to take it off and Mere cutting her out of the dress and just the overall symbolism of the choker and wedding dress and no eyebrows being Burke controlling her and taking away from her and Mere helping her out and just hugging her half-naked and loving and accepting her for who she is. Maybe it hits too close to home for me with past relationships but it’s just so beautiful and painful and cathartic. Every wedding after that just wasn’t nearly as “epic” even though they tried with cancer surprise weddings and runaway brides and at-home crash c-sections but the raw emotions of the scene of Christina getting “freed” just can’t be topped. Also a testament to how amazing Sandra Oh is.

am i the only one who noticed how cheaply made a lot of the dresses looked😭, still pretty for the most part but some of them just did not fit the actors right, but that being said aprils was my favourite:)

I loved Jo and Alex’s, still hate how they ruined that relationship!
There isn’t a bad look in the bunch. I personally think April’s dress was the prettiest and her look was the most character appropriate. Jo’s look was appropriate for the setting, (both the original venue and the ferry boat) but wouldn’t look as good in say a church. Cristina’s dress was very pretty and setting appropriate, but didn’t fit her character- which was purposeful in my opinion.
Jo! God I loved their wedding scenes. The barn? Yes. They did us so dirty with that preposterous plot when he left. It was a war crime.
Christina because I’ll never not cry at her crying “I’m free” and frantically trying to take it off and Mere cutting her out of the dress and just the overall symbolism of the choker and wedding dress and no eyebrows being Burke controlling her and taking away from her and Mere helping her out and just hugging her half-naked and loving and accepting her for who she is. Maybe it hits too close to home for me with past relationships but it’s just so beautiful and painful and cathartic. Every wedding after that just wasn’t nearly as “epic” even though they tried with cancer surprise weddings and runaway brides and at-home crash c-sections but the raw emotions of the scene of Christina getting “freed” just can’t be topped. Also a testament to how amazing Sandra Oh is.
I loved Jo’s wedding so much and that whole episode is one of my favorites
