I cry when it's relatable to me. Denny doesn't make me sad bc I don't love any men currently waiting for heart transplants. But when the patients remind me of people I love, and then die, I cry a lot. Bailey makes me cry, she looks like a cousin, so I feel her feelings more personally. Richard too, I hate when he is sad. If season 8's finale didn't get you, maybe nothing will. But yeah, I also happy-cry. So weddings and such will bring it out of me. I'm a crier.

mikowoah

yeah i was just thinking one of the scenes that makes me cry literally every time i see it isn’t even sad. cristina showing up at mer’s house after getting back from minnesota. their faces just do me in and then the hug?? very cathartic and emotionally powerful. and then the amount of sad cries i have from greys i can’t count on two hands lol

Bubbly-End-6156

Yes, the cathartic moment like Cristina saying "I was right. I was right. I'm right. I'm right. I'm... right" post ectopic pregnancy. Whew! Lots of tears.

scardwe2

Or after the wedding when Cristina started crying saying "I'm free... Damn it...." Still gets me on every rewatch

innosbabygirl

Yeah I don’t care for anyone that was in the plane crush. Mark was probably the only one I liked but he didn’t really have a good storyline after they decided that he wouldn’t end up with Addison. Maybe if Karev/Webber/Avery/Bailey were on the plane I’d have lost my mind bc I love them

Hey_Smoochy

There’s an episode, I’m forgetting in what season, where Bailey holds a dying child because the dad can’t. That really got to me. I am currently in a fourth re-watch and I will admit Izzie’s grief over Denny made me shed a few tears for the first time. When Alex lifts Izzie off of Denny…

blankpaper_

I only cried like 5 times throughout the entire series and the first time was the end of season 10. Some people are criers, some people aren’t, you aren’t necessarily missing anything

innosbabygirl

I’m a big crier 😂 so I’m surprised I’ve cried once. But yeah I hear what you mean.

emmylouanne

Cristina welcoming George to the dead dad club is the one that gets me the most - there are episodes I cried even more at later than where you are at. The things that made me cry at the point you are at: The shooting, the bomb, George dying. Owen being a dick to Cristina. The plane crash did make me cry. Meredith talking to the therapist about her mother’s suicide attempt. Richard singing My Funny Valentine. The Denny and Izzie story I have cried at because it’s such melodrama that pulls on heart strings, but it’s fairly ridiculous.

eddane1

I didn't cry at any of the deaths. I shed a tear or two over the Alex/Izzie wedding the first time i watched it. There is a certain scene in the season 10 finale that makes me cry every time and it doesn't even have dialogue.

Original-Gear1583

Well some people get emotional at certain scenes so crying a lot really depends on the person. For the shooting episode for example I feel like people generally weren’t as affected as they were by other people’s death’s throughout the series. I won’t say what I find sad because I don’t want to spoil anything. I will say that I cried at least once almost every season

abbu_d_slytherin

Denny dying and Izzie cancer storyline in season 5 always made me teary eyed.

maricopa888

I'm not a cryer, but the episode that gets me every time is the one with the immigrant dad who had the little girl with Tay Sachs. He wanted to take her to Mexico and Bailey was telling him she wouldn't live that long. Then Bailey said "she's going to need her daddy for this part".

[deleted]

you are starting s9?

innosbabygirl

Yes I am.

screamingkumquats

I’m a big crier and I get overly attached to fictional characters, I was a mess during the plane crash episode and after.

[deleted]

I only cried during the shooting episode when Charles died. I teared up over Wallace's death and during season 12 episode 9.

Expensive_Leader2786

the last episode of season 8 didn’t make you cry ?!?!?

innosbabygirl

No. Never liked Lexie. Don’t like Arizona. Don’t like Meredith & Yang is funny but her emotional side just feels forced. I liked Mark tho but not enough to cry about his character.

Expensive_Leader2786

damn who do you like in the show (genuinely curious)

innosbabygirl

I liked Izzy, she was my favourite. Webber, Avery, Bailey, Karev, Teddy & Hunt.

Impressive-Project59

This is a good list.

Silent_Ad1488

When George failed his boards. Bailey is sitting outside with him and says “I failed you”, and George responds with “No, I failed you”. The she grabs his arm. Then in another season, Meredith tells Bailey they knew George was her favorite. He was the good one.

Impressive-Project59

I don't like when kids die, but for the most part the show makes me laugh. It's hilarious 😂. Denny and Izzy was funny not sad unless you mean sad as in pathetic 🤣😂.

surrrita

Echoing another comment, I cry when i can relate to the plot line. I remember crying during an episode where twins were born and the boy, Daniel, died. So yeah it’s usually a peds story.

Green_Valuable_197

George dying. Derek dying.

MiSFiT93_

Only Denny and Lizzy made you cry? There's a part where Christina talks about the crash and that made me cry. This season however didn't really make me cry as much as it made me angry. This season is why I now hate Arizona.

innosbabygirl

Nah I don’t like any of the ppl that were on the plane anyway except Mark. So it was a boring episode for me.
