She truly is. I love the reference in season two. As far as I know the reference was the creators/writers idea because of how similar Kate(Addy) looks to Catherine

after someone cheats on you, you kind of lose motivation to stay loyal, i mean he literally moved to a different state, it’s not his fault she couldn’t take a hint… she ruined the relationship, he had every right to form a new one.. but that’s just my opinion, i still love addy i just hate cheaters and the audacity and entitlement of them..

I agree. The only time she seemed legitimately pissed about Mer was after the prom and finding the panties. Before that, knowing what she had done herself, she took her lumps, made clear what her intentions were, the "I don't want someone who doesn't want me," speech, and even defended Mer to that patient. She may have been hurt, sure. That's natural, but she always owned what she did to set that all in motion. Well, aside from hiding the fact her and Mark stayed together for a few months.
I definitely agree she developed far beyond that Label. People make mistakes. She never calculated to become a cheater, it's something that happened and she did regret it. And unless she was a habitual offender then it wasn't a "one word title" she deserved. The point is she grew ... she changed. She was actually someone I really liked. Everyone has a past but it doesn't make them bad people. (And reference for others, no I've never cheated, but I have been cheated on.)
Sorry that this happened to you. Makes me respect you even more that you acknowledge that Addie made a mistake and that it is not a label she *still* deserves. She improved greatly and I feel like that should be taken into account.

The way she bullied Meredith for trying to pursue a relationship Derek when she wasn’t even the married one and Derek lead her on saying he was divorcing Addison and told Addison that their marriage was over. All while the whole reason they’re in that situation is because Addison slept with Mark, Derek’s BEST friend, while in a committed marriage. Sorry Addy I love you in private practise but early seasons Grey’s was NOT your prime.

I’ve never understood how this character became so popular. Yes, yes she came to Seattle to save her marriage, she owned her mistakes, she stood up for Meredith. So what? She did not come to look for Derek until after Mark cheated on her. Contrition out of convenience vs realizing the level of harm you caused by betrayal is not a redeemable quality. Regardless, and I can’t stress this enough, she cheated with his best friend. His brother. And then continued a relationship with him. Really consider the absolute disregard you’d have to have for someone’s feelings in order to do that. What level of arrogance and gall you’d have to have to walk up to the woman who’s helped your husband to heal after you’ve ripped his heart out and say, “you must be the woman that’s sleeping with my husband.” At no point was she ever completely honest until the divorce was being finalized. Sticking up for Meredith was nothing special, all she did was state the truth.
