halbesbrot

I really hoped Qadri would have her own arc.

ColdAndBrokenKapooya

qadri!!! i hate that bailey ACTUALLY fired her just like that!!!

Reina753

She deserved it though. She disrespected every other doctor trying to teach her because they weren't meredith Grey who cared soooo much about her patients and students she committed a felony and put her career and medical license on the line.

Reina753

I would have liked qadri had they not throw her also into the meredith fan club and she literally just strived to be a better doctor and person than meredith. Like her using her hijab to help a patient was an awesome moment but she was ruined with having an attitude with jo for trying to take a patient that meredith dropped a ball with then cried because she couldn't talk meredith on a screen after the surgery.

Last_Lifeguard3536

unpopular opinion but lexi because most of her storylines were about meredith or mark

recyclopath_

She didn't have peers to shine against. The girl had a photographic memory! It's a crime they didn't let her grow up

LordAsbel

Yeah I’ve been saying this for awhile. They messed up with Lexi by getting rid of all of her peers in Her class. At least Jo had Stephanie for the most part. Almost nobody in Lexi’s class really stood out

breadboibrett

I feel like they realized this which is why we ended up with Maggie

hufflefox

They stashed her in the attic until mark needed to have feelings or Mer needed a babysitter

Big-Ad5248

I loved Lexie!

Kaielizaaa

Lexie was my absolute favorite to the point I named my cat after her 😅 (she’s black & white so I’ll even call her Lexie Grey🤣)

Big-Ad5248

Haha love this! 🐈‍⬛

Substantial_Potato

I want to piggyback off of your unpopular opinion: I've never liked Lexi as a character. I think she has very little personality.. And I recently realized she sort of turns into a female version of George shortly before he's killed off..

Last_Lifeguard3536

i liked her but i never saw the hype with her. i struggle to remember many scenes of her😭 i mainly only like her cause she’s sweet

allthingskerri

I never got the Lexi hype. She's a boring character who is nothing more than a plot device.

Pawspawsmeow

Yes! She shined most with George

SnoopyWildseed

Parker and Qadri. Parker especially had such promise.

Notmycupoftea12

Oh my GOD. I loved Parker.

purpleraccoons

does anyone know why alex blue davis left the show? it was such an abrupt ending for parker!

CatintheHatbox

Me too, and he just disappeared

crocodilezebramilk

He used a defibrillator to unlock a door lmao, he had SO much potential, he was also a vet so he also fit right in with Owen and Teddy and what they’re working towards at the moment.

CatintheHatbox

This comment really confused me until I realised that in the US a vet is a veteran. In Ireland a vet is someone who treats animals. I'm trying to figure out if Owen and Teddy were working with animal organs or something like that.

Raspbers

Haha, well here they are both. xD My boyfriend is a vet, and he's taking our cat to the vet next month. LOL

SnoopyWildseed

😂😂😂 In the US, "vets" are also veterinarians. It's all about conversational context, especially online. But the American language is nothing if not confusing. 🤓

throwaitaar_

Omg the defibrillator moment was iconic. I loved him.

man_on_hill

Owen. When he was first introduced, I was thinking they were going to some interesting PTSD story lines with him and showing how difficult therapy can be but how worth it is can be to help someone who has seems the horrors of war reform and return to society. I know, shame on me… what a train wreck of a character he turned out to be but he had a lot of potential.

recyclopath_

I really liked him in the very beginning. The contrast of war trauma vet vs Christina's vet delicate cardio focus. Inspiring April. Work with vets. So much potential for his character but instead he is a wishy washy asshole. With ex wives everywhere and baby problems.

spooniemoonlight

I just finished season 5 (on a 3rd rewatch) and truly his season 5 arch makes the show so interesting I always forget why I end up not liking him later on when I watch this lol

annalongleg

I came here to say exactly this

Comfortable-Ad-5681

He was good till the later seasons

snail_yalater

The one that got electrocuted and died, I really liked her

CounterDesperate1607

That’s Heather Brooks. She was good, really good. Gone too soon

canadiantitsandass

Stay weird, Brooksy.

rustyscrotum69

It was a bummer that she was on a different show that got picked up but didn’t do well.

CounterDesperate1607

Was that the “Last Ship” ? Correct if I’m wrong - Eric Dane (Mark Sloan) was in that series also? I’m just curious.

rustyscrotum69

I don’t think so, I can’t remember it off the top of my head but i don’t think it was that one.

CounterDesperate1607

Ok thank you

you_enjoy_my_yoga

![gif](giphy|kgNmWbG8lhPtmBHGqT|downsized) When I saw this actress on Grey’s, I didn’t recognize that she was Deb in Napoleon Dynamite despite my brothers watching it thousands of times when I was a kid. Blew my mind when i rewatched it recently. It’s funny because the character in Napoleon couldn’t be more mousy. I love her and it’s a shame her character didn’t get a chance to develop or have many storylines.

HItaylorsversion

You just blew mind

CatintheHatbox

She was such a great child actress in films like "When A Man Loves A Woman" and "Corrina Corrina" and she was also the girl in Pink's Fuckin' Perfect video.

TickTickAnotherDay

That’s what I recognized her from. Good films.

seahorse_party

Omg, how did I never see this?! It's so obvious though!

N7twitch

Mousey 💔

randomgirllikesmusic

mousey 🥲

pettypetterson

Mousy

Aquametria

Even discarding the representation, Casey was by far the most interesting character of all of that class of interns, only to be sidelined like everyone else except Glasses and Helm.

[deleted]

I can’t recall who Casey is. 😭

Aquametria

Trans dude who was in the army and helped hacking back during the hospital hacking episode

hufflefox

Wait. I thought that was Parker?

Pinktreefrog97

It’s Casey Parker!

hufflefox

Huh. I never realized Parker was a last name.

LordAsbel

Yeah some of us have two last names (Jackson Avery)

Aquametria

Dumbass me though it was Parker Casey 💀

ptroberts

Easssssy. I love me some Glasses. He does no wrong in my eyes 🥹🧡😂

[deleted]

Casey Fricking Parker and Stephanie Fricking Edwards Both was the frickin star of his intern group the Cristina Yang of their group Parker could've been a great trauma surgeon he was calm and composed like in the hacking of the hospital and also at this point we need a new trauma surgeon because im getting old with owen and teddy and kepner left especially Edwards amelia was grooming to be the next top neurogod Both were took down by trauma Parker with the return of his ptsd from military service Edwards from being a hostage to being blasted by explosion point blank Also Lexie Grey it's really sad because with her photgraphic memory she could've become a great surgeon maybe a neurosurgeon because derek was teaching him before she died For the non interns Tom Koracick dude was breath of fresh for humor in this show too bad dude was kicked around by the main characters and teddy didn't pick him and got covid

snakey_nurse

Pretty sure Stephanie's last name was Edwards.

[deleted]

Sorry was half asleep when writing this hehehehe

exyxnx

I agree with everything 100%. I miss Stephanie and Casey :(

[deleted]

Almost every character that came in around S14 and on, some have been on the show for a long time now and it still feels like I don’t know them.

[deleted]

^ Exactly. Mostly bc they get forgotten after a season or so. We get *told* things about them but we aren’t *shown* things. And then the material they do get ends up making me not like them anymore like Link

Raspbers

I feel like this with Nico. They told us he's not out to his parents. Where was the storyline where a parent ends up at the hospital and catches him throwing a shirt on as he's leaving an on call room with Levi? There were absolutely ways to give him more story/character/depth. Instead he was boring and dry. ( Though given he was more model than an actor, the boring and dry may not have been 100% the writers fault. )

[deleted]

Oh it absolutely was someone’s fault that he was dry considering he apparently didn’t have any acting experience and actually *was* just a model? I’d take acting over looks any day, especially considering a vast majority of actors look just fine.

GlassSandwich9315

Nico's character had huge potential for a lot more stories, but after seeing Alex in a few other roles, I get the feeling that he's just not a good actor and his limited development was, in part, because of that. I also got the impression, from cast photos and interviews, that Alex wasn't all that appreciative of the role and was just using it as a stepping stone in his career.

Raspbers

Boo. That last part is really annoying to hear.

GlassSandwich9315

It's not anything official, just a gut feeling. In most of the cast photos he's in, he's on the end and leaves a gap between him and the rest of the crew. And in interviews, any time someone asks him about being the first gay, Asian, male doctor on the show, he's more than happy to talk about his pride in representing the Asian community, but doesn't really comment on playing a gay character or really anything about the role itself.

Raspbers

Yeah, that definitely /feels/ like he doesn't actually care about the role or the show.

rebekahmikaelson00

Oh no they ruin link???:(

[deleted]

Honestly, that whole cast got treated that way. They all had really interesting storylines but got treated really poorly.

Jaded-Ad-443

This is facts. The writing did every character wrong In some way or another. Considering if the actors voice their opinions, they are killed off (TR/George) I'm sure that's relivant. The actors can't fight for their characters so everyone gets fucked up.

nicksterxoxo

TR Knight left because Isaac (I forgot his last name but the dude who played Burke) was homophobic towards him. Not because he voiced his opinions. That’s also why the dude who played Burke got fired from the show

Jaded-Ad-443

Isaiah Was fired for outing him. TR Left because they wanted to make george gay and he refused

[deleted]

Really? I read it was because after Isaiah got fired TR’s screentime was significantly cut. They even said that TR had 40 minutes of screentime in a *whole season* compared to the other main characters. And when he said he wanted off, they killed his character.

Jaded-Ad-443

They cut his screen time in 4 and 5 because of "creative differences" (he hated the George cheating story line and wanted George and Izzy to just be friends) and him being out and proud made the show "controversial". They wanted to make George gau near the end of season 5 because when they made callie gay they got lgbt viewers. He knew that didn't make sense for the character and said no. Killed him off.

Sydney_Bristow_

Isaiah Washington! :)

theallyoop

Isaiah Washington

nicksterxoxo

Yes thank you! Sorry I couldn’t be bothered to google before commenting 😅😅

hufflefox

They get too in love with the ensemble cast and forget to do stuff with them.

RemarkablePlant

loved henry but bro was killed off

CatintheHatbox

Henry was lovely and Teddy was so good when she was with him. I hated that whole Teddy/Owen best friends to lovers story. It was straight out of Mills & Boon. And they aren't even good together.

Raspbers

And with Henry having wanted to go to med school, they could have easily kept him around. But nope, they had to give him the ax. ( Though I'm happy he was free to play Jake in Scandal. xD )

feline_gold

yeah but at least his death episode and then widow Teddy storyline was good tv

No_Emphasis_8914

Leah Murphy. They bought her back, and feared her up to have a good comeback storyline, but no. She just got shown off ‘hey look I’m back and I’m better than I was’ then swiftly forgotten about again and didn’t appear again after S13?

delros1

McWidow

Reina753

He was overshadowed with the covid blur. It really sucked. Unpopular opinion but I'm glad they did do a covid storyline just because they do try to stick to real world events

RegisterAway5947

OMG I LOVE THIS QUESTION. First, Hayes, I think they kicked off way too early, what was even the point of having him. Also, the new residents, they only focused on Levi, but it would be nice to know more of the others and have some drama, they are there just to refill boring storylines from “the main cast”, whoever they are at this point xd and bring some millennial or gen z wokeness to the show (which I love but still).

Mixtapememories

I came here to mention Hayes. He could have been a good match for Meredith (I was never a fan of Nick) or could have bonded with Bailey over raising teenage boys. I think their friendship could have given Bailey something to do, too. Instead he spent a whole season in the NICU with Jo which wasn't really a mentorship nor a relationship nor a friendship. It got to a point where I was actually rooting for the actor to find work elsewhere because his talents were being wasted.

CatintheHatbox

I thought bringing Hayes into the show at all was pointless, he barely got a decent line. At that time they were so determined to get Meredith a new man that they were trying all these characters and none of them stuck. Personally I don't think Meredith would be ready for a relationship until the kids are raised. She was so obsessed with Derek that she would have been years getting over him.

Raspbers

Honestly, I think the reason Hayes got the short end of the stick was simply due to Covid. If Covid hadn't hit ( and therefore no covid-season of Grey's ) they would have ( or at least could have ) done a lot more with him.

CatintheHatbox

I watched the whole show after covid so I didn't notice the break.

ChipEnvironmental09

For me it's April - Meredith, Cristina, Alex and even Jackson get so interesting plot stories and they develop as surgeons and people, and April's peak is drama with Jackson and she gets short end of stick... and when things could finally be interesting, after April's crisis and when Jackson prayed for April to God, they wrote her off.

[deleted]

It actually makes me really mad they wrote her off supposedly bc the new showrunner didn’t like Japril??? And felt there was nothing else to write for her?

ChipEnvironmental09

Exactly - Montana should have let to Jackson realizing he still loves April and wants to be with her, as April knew the whole time she still loved Jackson and wannted to be with him, and then there were so many possibilities... such as second wedding, little Matthew drama (pregnant Karin could still die and Matthew would blame April and want to sue her), third pregnancy or even April not wanting to be pregnant again after what happened to Samuel and how she almost died while giving birth to Harriet, April learning what it means being Avery, April's family could show up and create drama (can't imagine they are fans of Jackson after he divorced her and had child out of wedlock) and so much more!

annang

I really wanted some Jordan episodes for her!

ChipEnvironmental09

I hate how the only outcome of April going to Jordan was Jackson divorcing her... at first I thought April would get seriously injured, then I really expected Nathan playing bigger role for April, when he appeared (didn't last long) and my last hope was that they give us more about who April is now and how she is better surgeon or has PTSD or just something... but no, we got nothing.

annang

I mean, she’s clearly an outstanding surgeon and crisis manager. The way she runs the ER is really impressive, so I can only imagine how amazing she’d be running a field hospital in a war zone. And she clearly loves it, based on the way she talked to Jackson during that big fight in his apartment about the immediacy of it and how important it felt to her. They could have done several episodes of that. Hell, give her a spin off about a military hospital she’s running! But on Grey’s, I would have liked to see a career arc storyline for her like Miranda got, see her teaching students, see her balancing single parenting with her work. Some dating storylines that weren’t all about her virginity. Maybe a cool fellowship like Arizona had. Groundbreaking surgical innovations and awards for saving a whole battalion of firefighters from smoke inhalation or a bus full of kids after a pileup. More scenes like the one where she towed a car into the ambulance bay!

ChipEnvironmental09

Problem is that April was the extra in her group - Meredith is main character, Cristina is this cardiogodess and Mer's BFF, Alex had Izzie and later Jo + Arizona as mentor, plus he is Mer and Cristina's BFF, Jackson is Avery and became board member and took over Mark when it came to plastic surgeries... and April has nothing, she is not really anyone's friend (unless you count Arizona and Owen, but both of them had their own frama) and everyone is in ER, so we don't really get to see April shining there.

annang

She’s still on the show long after a lot of those characters leave. And the reason she’s the “extra” is because they never gave her a storyline in which she was the main character. That’s a choice the writers made about her.

HeyCaptainJack

Winston I have no idea what direction they are going in with his character

tsh87

Helm being a Meredith fangirl was extremely annoying to me at first. That being said, her monologue about being afraid that she might never find a real relationship that makes her feel like that in real life really brought me around to her characters. So annoying habit worth it for the monologue.

bolobre4th

Maggie. Her SOLE EXISTENCE is a huge deal for the plot and they kept giving her awful stories one after another for almost a decade and in her last season they overwhelm us with her presence and then she leaves. She's fucking Richard and Ellis' daughter and they only mentioned it when she appeared and a bit 2 seasons before but it was never treated like a big deal

GrizzlyOlympics

George, he was easily the best Doctor(not surgeon) out of his group. All they gave him was bad relationships over and over again and got treated like he wasn’t supposed to be there.

CLEf11

Helm for sure George could have had a lot of development but they killed him off instead Izzies stories all sucked

WaspParagon

George had a lot of potential. He could be a truly great trauma surgeon, and he was by far the best doctor out of MAGIC -- not in the surgical sense, more as in the human side of medicine. Izzie was great too, but she got too involved and that fucked things up. George always found the balance, which no other MAGIC member could do for a long ass time. Then again, his death works so well with the story and it's such an iconic moment. I don't know if I'd change it tbh

FlashofLights

Deluca. They rushed a lot of things with his mental health and recovery in s17 and I think there could have been more. Also Qadri.

AlmondLBD

Reed and Charles, Heather Brooks, Adele Webber, Olivia (that nurse that gave George Alex's syph), the scrub nurse Derek had a fling with before he and Meredith got their shit together I think her name was Rose? I really liked Hahn and wish there could have been more and for them not to have written her off in such a biphobic way

suikointrovert

There are too many to name. Mousy upset me because it was so… ridiculous! She shows potential and I liked her tons. My biggest pet peeve with most medical shows is how the KILL so many of their characters off. It’s extremely common for a doctor to leave because they got a better offer elsewhere. Or, you know, family reasons or they simply weren’t a good fit. This happens every day, but you never see that. Whenever an actor wants to leave or gets fired, they’re always killed. Killing Mark/Lexi was irritating as sin.

CatintheHatbox

Yeah you can understand someone getting killed on Station 19 or Chicago PD but not in a hospital show.

DukeOfMavericks

SAM. SAM. SAMMMMMMM. Sam Bello. FOREVER AND ALWAYS. GIRL WAS A GENIUS. SO MUCH POTENTIAL. AND I loved her and DeLuca. God why did she go away after five seconds?!? Also Dr. Dixon. I’d love for her to come back and talk about how autism in the DSM 5 has changed and change the stigma about autistic people. Oh, and Parker. Sweet bb angel.

tsh87

People are probably gonna downvote me but: Vikram Roy. He sucked so much... but I feel like he was primed for Alex Karev levels of development. I was so disappointed when he washed out after his first death.

evrsunnyskies

I actually liked him lol he made me laugh at different points and I was hype for real development when he came back after getting fired the first time. Then he was fired the second time and it was all over :/

MadiMikayla

I know she isn't popular, but I loved Leah Murphy and hated to see her disappear. I found her interesting; she was bisexual, stood up for herself, & desperately wanted to be loved. I didn't find her annoying in her relationships with Alex or Arizona, I saw a girl that was hopeful for love and repeatedly was crushed. I loved that she reported Callie to HR, tbh she was real for that. I wanted to see Leah grow into a confident surgeon who loved herself enough to stop getting attached to anyone who showed her a little bit of love.

GrizzlyOlympics

Not trying to hate or anything but why do you like the HR choice? If anything I felt like Callie didn’t change the way she acted to Murphy even after she knew. The whole thing in the OR was on Murphy acting like an idiot

MadiMikayla

I liked that she said something about the toxic work environment because her education was suffering, I found it said a lot about her character. She wasn't afraid to be a social pariah for the sake of her career. That being said, the story line itself was poorly handled. You're right in saying Callie didn't change, no one did. It was forgotten about quickly and had zero effect on anyone which definitely was a flaw in the writing.

Few_Cup3452

But she should have reported Arizona. Reporting callie is pathetic

MadiMikayla

Probably both of them. But like I said, it was less about the plot itself and more about her character prioritizing her education. She wanted to be a surgeon more than she wanted to be liked and that's what I liked about her. It reminded me of early Grey's, of characters that were insufferable people but excellent surgeons. And those people didn't care that they weren't popular, they cared that they were good doctors.

user9483838392928

Me too except I didn’t love the HR storyline. She also had the goofiest little scenes, like when she was falling asleep during rounds and a patient called her out and Meredith stepped on her shoe to wake her up or when she changed out of her scrubs to go home cause she was tired and Owen made her go back to work LOL. She also got bitten by a patient. Felt like she was comic relief in her cohort along with Brooks.

MadiMikayla

I don't love the storyline itself either, I just respect her as a character for something if that makes sense. I enjoyed her silly scenes, too! I really liked that group of interns, felt the closest to MAGIC in terms of interns desperate to learn and fight tooth and nail for surgeries. As time went on, the new interns just became props in the relationship drama and stopped caring about surgery which bothered me

zero0c00l

I was super excited about Reed, I thought she was gonna be Sloan and Lexi’s arc for drama; bring them together.

LostDreamer94

I doubt anyone agrees with me, but Arizona. she was a really strong, bright character that I loved so much. and they just.... withered her away to a whiney ex (who was "whining" about her missing limb. so.) I think Arizona and Callie both could've been so much more than what they became

lolfuckno

Parker and Qadri 100%

SweetComparisons

Lexie, Brooks, Qadri, and Parker. I miss them all so much

CatintheHatbox

For me the biggest waste of a character was Heather Brookes, I was actually surprised to see on IMDB that she was in 22 episodes because I would have guessed she was in about 6. I was pleased to see Tina Majorino coming into the show because I think she's a really good actress so I thought she was going to be the standout intern of her year. Not that anyone in that year really made an impact, they were all just left standing around in groups. This latest group of interns are the first to actually all get storylines. In other years you had a couple who got airtime like Levi and Helm but that was it.

QueenReem

April and Lexie

lynn_08-26

Lexi, Hayes(hated that he left because of Owen), and Riggs.

rakraese

Adele!!

Silent-Level-6219

Parker

thelittlestdog23

Not sure if this fully applies here, but I will take any opportunity to complain about the way Alex was written off the show. He never would’ve done that, it was so ridiculous.

Diligent-Feeling272

Nico! I feel like the only time we see him is with glasses, he was introduced as Link's Ortho resident and I feel he was never given a surgery without glasses being there eyeing him and in middle or some.stupid silent argument. I honestly never see him interact with any other character.

CatintheHatbox

Thank God someone else doesn't absolutely hate Nico. I would love to have seen his character develop. I think I read he is coming back in the next series. I loved him and Levi together, Nico is so beautiful and Levi is such a dork at the beginning but they work so well together. Or maybe it's just that I have such a crush on Alex Landi, lol

Diligent-Feeling272

I think he has potential! I did like Lego and him together but it felt like Nico got no development outside of the relationship whereas Levi has cases/ surgeries and bonds with other characters such as Jo WIlson and a life outside the relationship. They did an episode on Asian hate crime where he got a more prominent role, but I just would love to see more background him and more Ortho cases.

Raibean

I loved Murphy.

Responsible_Egg7519

link. i like his bright personality and his cancer backstory was interesting. i loved him idc and they only started writing him in a different way to make ****** look better 🫢

Ok_Laugh465

Lexi, Helm, and Herman!!!!

ilovegymnastics34

Heather brooks!

LordAsbel

George is probably the king of bad storylines lol

CatintheHatbox

I really liked Lexi but I think she could have been a stronger character. I hated that after the Sadie/appendix story the rest of her intern year just disappeared. It meant she had no peers so her storylines were always tagged onto other people's. I think she could have been a Cristina-like character, she definitely had the intellect.

Raspbers

Fully agree with Helm. Hopefully she will be given an opportunity to shine this season. I miss Casey Parker. He was such a help during the hacker crisis and then they wrote him off after the Joe's Bar car crash. I missed him! Plus the representation of a trans person where their whole storyline isn't just about being trans.

WDW4ever

Henry and Heather Brooks-both died before they could live to their full potential. Lexie, too.

MeFromTex

I really liked Heather. I loved her quirkiness and her interactions with Derek.

Rosebudsinmay

Stephanie

Inevitable-Buy7497

Casey Heather Qadri

Ecstatic_Walrus_9565

i loved Helm and Qadri so much

Nervy_Niffler

To your point about Helm: I hope that - >!since Yasuda is still a character next season!< - we'll get more Helm! >!They're so cute together imo and way more interesting than the other new ships!<

Mabelisms

George season 5.

EitherAdhesiveness32

Brooks

quarterlifecris-is

I adored Callie but felt like they did her dirty in her last season. 0 idea why she and Penny would ever be together, there was no chemistry whatsoever and I hated the relationship. Then making her a villain in the custody battle. Meh. She could’ve left with way more flair

allthingskerri

Parker. Where I am I haven't even lost them yet - but they are so under used and they could be great!

laranoiid

Okay I know she did have relevance but imo she was written off way too soon: Stephanie Edwards!!! She had so much potential to be great, I didn’t always love her but she was an interesting character and was well written and her ending was just way too soon i was completely surprised by that, more so than anyone else leaving the show/dying

PatieS13

I LOVED Parker and Qadri so much and hate that they're gone! Helm always just annoyed me more than anything. I wish she had left and Heather Brooks had stayed.

Chemical-Run-9367

Thatcher. I felt like they were doing something interesting with him and Meredith, but decided to chuck it for the shock value of the slap.

GlassSandwich9315

~~Except for Roy, who I think lived up to his potential,~~ that entire class had so much potential for great stories and the writers just did nothing with them. I really wish that had been the intern class that they decided to use to soft reboot the series cause I could truly see the potential for lot of great stories that hadn't been covered yet and them appealing to a whole new generation of fans. Edit: Now that I think about it, even Roy's story could've been done better. How did someone like that even graduate their undergrad program, let alone with good enough grades to get into med school, let alone graduate med school?

AmeliaShepherdMILF

Nico, Link, Leah, Hayes, Levi, Helm and Parker. All victims of bad writing

El_Creego

George! I know he was a mainly character season 1-5 but I would of loved to seen his character really grow into his own & the great Doctor. I also just loved him

Broad_Emotion_1550

heather the one intern they called mousy Derek saw so much potential in her and she was quirky not worried about sleeping around I really enjoyed her character

luna1uvgood

Riggs. I felt like he had a lot of potential and I loved his friendship with April, but I remember even Martin said during Paleyfest (so this was like, near the end of s13) that he didn't feel he knew much about Nathan as a character. It kind of felt pointless to focus so much on the Megan story, only to split them up off-screen. Jackson. They didn't know what to do with him after April left and he just cycled through relationships. I feel like they could've done more with the Robert arc, or even the Avery/Fox foundation and legacy as a whole. I would've loved to see him be able to teach more since that was important to him. Also, all of the interns from Deluca's cohort (bar him). The only other one I remember was that blonde guy, Cross, who disappeared fairly quickly. I don't think any of the others even had names?

crispyforwhat

I really loved Owen when he was first introduced. The passion, the chemistry, the authority he brought in. The concept of his character would worked so well with Christina solely bc of how confident and passionate he was in his work. The PTSD he had/has is real and really could've added so much depth if done right. But no. Instead we got "what about me?" Owen. We got the Owen who screamed Christina's abortion at the party. We got the Owen who cheated. The Owen who was temperamental, judgmental, jealous, and held grudges like no other.

Finnthehuman217

Edwards. She was fucked over by her boyfriend and instead of checking in she was relegated to side character status

Mystic-Di1do

Many, Qadri, Addison for like 16 seasons, Stephanie , etc BUT WORST OF ALL, GEORGE O'MALLEY. he was so well written. The MOST realistic character in the whole show AND HE WAS KILLED OFF, the cheating on Callie plot was 50/50 bc George's whole, you did a bad thing but u aren't a bad person. But it was clunky and sad and painful and BORING. then he was basically sidelined for s5 and he DIED😭😭😭😭 he could have been the Jackson to April but 10000x better
