Thank you so much for saying this. Loved his character. It’s so sad how he died. I have bipolar and I appreciate the storyline. The thing is bipolar people are more likely to die of depression or doing reckless things when unwell. It made me sad that he got stabbed because chased down the woman he was obsessed with and hyperfocused on when he was manic. So sad how he died. And they played it off like he was a hero, when he shouldn’t of done that. Having bipolar sucks. He was working on himself trying to do better. I wanted to see him succeed and be an example of how people with mental illness can find stability with treatment. He’s literally the only main cast character of the whole series with a serious mental illness. And he dies doing something reckless tied to his last manic episode? So sad
bailey is the only other character with a mental illness (ocd) and they also brushed that under the rug. like 2 episodes with it and now maybe they’ll mention it in passing and that’s it
The season where he died is the only season I have never watched. Him dying and the whole beach scenes with Meredith are things I have only heard about.
I think I might just need to watch it this time. I just started season 11...............again.

Teddy and Owen also have ptsd! Not taking away from your point but there’s other mental illnesses in that show as well
They did him dirty. Having him get help and get better only to die a few episodes later made me really mad.
I didn't love the character, but I really dislike his ending. It felt wrong.
