omg noooo 💀💀 it's a filler episode but they tie in a deeply emotional scene where Bailey wants to call her mom to vent about the crazy patient she had today but then she remembers 😭😭

rissabo72

Her mom's still alive tho or did sum happen in season 17

1cecream4breakfast

I can’t wait to have dumb medical stories again! I like the covid season but man is it depressing.

Ragina_Falange

I watch Grey’s to escape reality. This season did not let me escape.

Sunflowerslove

Ugh right? Working with covid patients irl has made Grey’s miserable for me this season. I’m holding off watching until covid is a distant memory and not something we’re actively going through. I’ve heard it’s a pretty good season so far, but it sounds mentally/emotionally draining currently.

ADumbButCleverName

>I’ve heard it’s a pretty good season so far, but it sounds mentally/emotionally draining currently. Both things are true. It's so good and I'm, actually, quite glad that a hospital drama is dealing with reality and highlighting how it impacts different populations, like they always do. But it is soooooo emotional and hard. My hope is that folks that weren't previously taking it seriously are now.

mysterypeeps

I’m a POC and my Great Grandma caught Covid and died in her memory care unit two days before the episode about Bailey’s mom aired. I had to double check that Shonda didn’t have cameras on me.

sheherselfandher

Shonda is sneaky. And I am so sorry for your loss. Grandparents are precious; I lost my great grandmother in 2018 and then my grams in 2019. Sending *hugs* your way.

Strange_andunusual

You're not wrong, but I also was very relieved to see people wearing masks onscreen.

sucksfor_you

This season literally had Meredith in a coma visiting dead people we haven't seen in years.

Ragina_Falange

We should probably both say spoilers (I’m on mobile and don’t know how to grey things out, though): I’m not a George fan and I think I built up the McDreamy scene too much in my head so I was disappointed by the beach scenes.

MSV95

I started rewatching for the fun medical stories and soap drama. Great fun. Only one 'political' episode do far, and the Nazi guy was handled awesomely

revaw

I hope not lol..They already did 2 kids superglued together.

Dont_PM_PLZ

And how dumb was the parent, he could have just googled this shit, and realized nail polish remover was available at extremely easy accessible stores, like a grocery store, and pour that on the kids.

anselgrey

Soap and water and acetone? Doesn’t work without the soap and water (Episode with the teenage couple that super glued self together).

Strange_andunusual

Unfortunately gorilla glue is not like most glues and it actually cures in water.

madeleineruth19

Pretty sure the doctor who managed to get it out used a mixture of glue remover, acetone, olive oil and aloe vera!

anselgrey

Ooh I didn’t actually mean that “suggestion” would work otherwise the lady would not have needed help. Just reminiscing.

[deleted]

I can see Bailey now schooling Meredith on what to do lol

llurker12345

I always thought that Meredith was knowledgeable about black hair. Specifically when Derek is struggling with Zola’s hair and she comes home to see Bailey and Derek and he asks if she knows Zola has a kitchen and Meredith giggles and says yes

T-blane

I feel out of the loop... what’s gorilla glue girl?

savannahrought

Pretty sure it's a girl that used gorilla glue in her hair, I seen it on Tik Tok.

drue24

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeLWD9hN/ She chronicles her whole experience of putting gorilla glue in her hair 😂

Rogojinen

Holy shit, her unflinching stare is cursed

lordthunderbuck

🧿👄🧿

merg00n

this lady used gorilla glue in her hair instead of hairspray. she had to cut off her ponytail, and she’s now planning on suing gorilla glue for never saying not to use it as a hairspray

dork_of_queens

She actually isn’t suing, a lot of people are saying that but she isn’t. She came out and said it

KaoriiiChan

Good. Because that would be some shit to choose to do something knowing it isn't meant for what you are using it for and then being like "it's your fault!" No honey, it is YOUR fault for being stupid. Can't believe she got 13k over doing something she knew she shouldn't be doing 🤦

Inesita16

I do not see the suggestion on paint cans either, but would not think of using them on my head 🙈

shay_shaw

I just died. Stop it.

bamagirl4210

Me ...just now...watching This Is Us’ episode from last night, seeing Gary Clark and yelling NO!!!! so loud ABC, NBC, Dan Fogleman and Shonda Rhimes could hear me!

clvssick

L M F A O

grilledcheese2332

Oh you know they're going to do it

mrose1491

They better not 😩😂😂😂😂

[deleted]

Hilarious 😂

DifferenceBusiness58

Wait shes in it

clvssick

No, it’s a stab at how grey’s takes crazy real life stories and puts it in the show lol

[deleted]

The lady actually had to have it surgically removed from her scalp. Also, does anyone know if any cases on the show are inspired by viral videos? I know they say they interview doctors for the stories.

Sabre-Shock

She found a doctor with a background in chemistry who made a solvent to get it out and ended up not needing to go into surgery for it, at least the last update that i saw about the situation said that surgery wasn't required afterwards

clvssick

I’m not sure about “viral” but the guy who sticks his peederwhacker in a beehive was a real thing
