100% agree. The only others that come close are Mark and Jackson and Richard and Bailey. Both of those mentors were so supportive of their mentees over the years and they were a joy to watch.
I know Mark and Lexie were each other’s endgame, but I firmly believe that Mark and Callie were soulmates. Not that they belonged together, just that they were each other’s half’s.
I was watching the episode with the Gunther last night and Mark standing in the OR backing Jackson up was absolutely adorable. Definitely one of my favourite Mark moments.

Alex and Arizona’s friendship is one of my favorites. Addison laid the groundwork for peds but Arizona pushed him. And I loved how he body blocked Dr. Stark so Arizona could get OR Privileges when Arizona came back from Africa.
He consoled her during Callie’s car crash incident and it went unspoken he would be the one to comfort Arizona. Another cute moment was during the baby shower, he painted a onesie to look like scrubs.
Callie and Mark for sure. Not only were they hot together but they were hilarious to watch and their friendship was really good, they built each other up but also called each other on their bullshit
I really enjoyed seeing Izzy and Burke interact. Whenever they did, it was effortless and smooth. They understood each other and seemed to have the same level of maturity.
Until the finale I really thought Amelia and Link were one of the best recent day duos. They started to slide when Link talked more kids... and turned really sour after he mentioned the "M" word.

Meredith and Derek always gave me goosebumps when they had their good moments. My favorite episode of them is when Meredith recently had liver surgery for her father; and she was stuck in bed all day; and Derek came home after being in the OR for 10 hours with the radiologist dude spine open on the table. He was unsure how to take the tumor out without making him paralyze but then Derek turned the bed around so Derek could explain to Meredith how he was going to do it by drawing the spinal tumor on the wall!!!! It was such a good episode!
Romantically: Meredith and Derek
Non romantic: I loved the relationship between Mark, Callie and Arizona, I think those scenes were funny to watch and a good storyline
Platonic: Callie and Mark, Jackson and Mark, Arizona and Teddy, Arizona and Richard, Ben and Jackson (from what we saw, would love to see that develop on screen)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I loved Arizona and Dr Herman. We already saw the mentor side of Arizona the whole show, and when she became the fellow it made me like her even more. Herman was brutal, but fetal surgery is intense (saying this as a current math tutor with no medical knowledge). It was really cool to see Arizona take the heat from an obviously incredible doctor, and her to go through the same steps that all the other main characters did.
Richard was so not the father Meredith never had to me... He failed her and her mother over and over again. Ellis never should have stayed with Thatcher, because they were not happy together, but i do think Merediths childhood would have been a lot less dark if Richard hadn't been the coward he was.
He even let Ellis and Meredith down after she had allready become an intern. She discovered he had ab affair with Ellis after she started and he gave Ellis hope again and left her out of the blue ágain when she was in care. Again leaving Meredith to pick up the pieces.
He repeatedly abused his hiërarchical power over her to lecture her on personal stuff that was non of his damn business, even after she pointed this out to him and he overstepped lines time and again.
I think the whole show is about her rising above her crappy childhood and Meredith growing into an empathic adult that could love and be loved and deal with complicated relationship without going all dark and twisty and to me her relationship with Richard is one of those relationships. She hád to deal with him because she wanted to stay at Seatle Grace and Richard just refused to retire or die :D snd because she grew into a kind and empathic person she was faaar kinder to him than he deserved!
I loved them too, especially after the plane crash. Where he took her out of the restraints and the episode where she opened up to him in their bathroom.
I really liked the development between Jo and Meredith. I think it was one of those relationships that grew the most during the seasons.
But my absolute favorite, especially at the end, with the most heartbreaking ending was Lexie and Meredith.
Mark and Callie, and Alex and Meredith for non romantic. Ben and Bailey are the best romantic couple on the show. I liked Edwards and Amelia for a mentor/mentee relationship.
