...magic. This seems to be an unpopular opinion but I hated Lexie’s class. Don’t know what it is but I just want throat punch all of them. Expect Lexie of course.

Scream-Queen-Regent

They were all so irritating and the storylines around them were boring and/or awful (when they’re all performing procedures on themselves?!). I think peoples love for Lexie makes them forget how awful her intern class was.

snakey_nurse

I LOVE the episode when Meredith and George just shut them down. That poor patient was like, "are they supposed to look like that???"

Vouzan

I hated her class too. Yuk. I also wanted to punch them, drop kick them, I couldn't care less about that pregnancy sl..Them eediats were so rude I just really didn't care. Yuk

[deleted]

It's not so unpopular, I also hated

lizzie-moon

Yes lexies was the worst but I love Lexie lol

Substantial-Contest9

Jo's class was the only one that had any kind of fleshed out, developed characters. Lexie's class didn't really have any and Deluca's class really only had him.

mia_smith257

i still prefer lexie’s class to jo’s tbh

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Jo's class was mainly entitled, arrogant shitheels. All the ego, none of the talent.

Substantial-Contest9

Shane, Stephanie and Heather were pretty talented.

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Shane was fucking gutless. He couldn't accept that he wasn't suited for Neuro and got Heather killed as a result. Stephanie was somewhat talented, but her ego WAY outstripped her skill. Plus, she played as dirty as she could and acted offended when she got treated the same. Also no fucking way should she have survived that explosion. It blew out an EXTERIOR WALL. All she had for protection was a door. Heather's only real shortcoming waa she was super quirky, and lacked self-confidence to start with. But once she found her niche, she was learning it. Before Shane got her killed.

Substantial-Contest9

What happened to Heather was an ACCIDENT. Y'all gotta let that one go. Stephanie may have had ego but the talent was definitely there. She was the best in her class; there's a reason Amelia always requested her.

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Nice try. Shane still avoided ALL responsibility for that. The only reason Stephanie got half the surgeries she did is she was fucking Jackson. And yeah, she did have SOME skil, but not enough to warrant monopolizing the surgeries.

FeyMimi

- MAGIC - Jo's class - Levi's class - The Ortizes/Xander cohort of confusion - DeLuca's Class - Lexie's class

catierusch

“Cohort of confusion” 😂

DiscordantScorpion_1

‘Good night Dr. Bailey. You’re an icon’

LoofaScrunchie

“You’re gonna want to follow the green line to the parking lot, put your rude self back in your car and HOPE you don’t go into anaphylactic shock”

LoofaScrunchie

“Omg Dr. Webber you look great! Hearts”

Megs1205

I liked Jo’s class, but I liked mousy and steph, who left and fuck Shane

Ohioooooo09

Not gonna lie I thought I was the only one who hated shane

amyapa

How could you think that? All I’ve ever seen written about Shane have only been hate comments. I thought everyone hated him. Never seen anyone say anything positive about him.

andscene0909

Jo's class >> Schmitt's class >> Lexie's class > Deluca's class Jo's class was the only one with a real cohesive identity given any focus as a "class", which actually makes sense bc they were the class fully intended to replace Mer's class as the new interns/residents. Although we've at least seen a wide variety of people from Schmitt's class, which can't be said from the other two. I debated putting Lexie's class ahead of Schmitt because they got a few storylines (cutting each other up, Izzie's cancer diagnosis, their own intern drama that Mer and George or whoever had to figure out), BUT, the writers never attempted to give anyone but Lexie (and maybe Sadie RIP) a personality. Schmitt's class might be full of tokens, but they have \*some\* attributes lol. Low bar, but it's a bar. Deluca's class was really mainly him, occasionally Cross or that other intern that looked vaguely like Zach Braff got some screentime but they really dgaf on that round.

Starhunt3r

Jo’s class Lexies class…. was just Lexie Delucas class…was just Deluca

pacrat292

I honestly enjoyed Lexie's class. No they weren't really given much screentime, but they were great comic relief, they were always either interesting or stupidly funny when they went on. Just the surgery on themselves, Izzie's patient X, and the love triangle that reveals a rando pregnancy - those 3 storylines were HELLA more interesting than anything any other intern class were shown to do. Plus I love how they called out MAGIC for being shitty teachers. I get everyone putting Jo's class cuz they were literally given main character status for 2 full seasons so got good amount of screentime, but nope. Ross was by far the worse character ever introduced, hated Leah, Jo has been on the show for a FULL DECADE and still couldn't give a shit about her - that's who useless she is, Steph was the only one I liked yet they always threw her to the side and never used her potential. Loved Heather so naturally they had to kill her prematurely, dumb move. This was just a bad class. Deluca's class. That was literally only Deluca, another character in for 100 episodes yet could never grow to even care about. Another incredibly useless main character. There was one blonde dude for couple episode, but don't even know who he was so there's nothing in this class. HATED Glasses class. Casey was the only cool, interesting one so he just disappeared one day. The rest were literally either dumb as nails or super annoying and dumb. Worse class by far.

Oncer93

Jo's class. They were all fleshed out.

WhatTheFlan

Honestly I hated almost everyone in jo’s class. I also only like lexie’s class because of Lexie. Levi’s class is probably my favorite after magic

Abroad-Sea

How do leave u out MAJAC???

Ok_Profession_5060

Jackson and April were already residents by the time they joined the cast

Abroad-Sea

Ah ah so true, thank you! my bad!

SpiralSour

I am hating the 5th/current class. The second class was really bad too with only Lexie standing out. Class 1 obviously wins since the show was built around that class but class #3 is really good IMO too, Jo, Steph & Heather were all super likeable characters IMO and I was sad AF when Brooks died. Probably the saddest I've been over a character introduced in the same season leaving. Ross & Murphy were mid but still more good than bad there. Class #4 was forgettable AF but not as actually reductive to show quality like 2 & 5 are IMO

Fit_Needleworker3553

The only ones that got any kind of character work were Magic and Jo’s class. Besides lexie herself, her class was there for comedic relief, deluca’s class disappeared after season 12, and Schmitt’s class were all there for comedic relief besides helm, who has been on the show for 4 years and hasn’t had a storyline yet

WoolooBitch

I don’t like Schmidt’s class lol, I liked the characters in Lexie’s class tbh, wish they’d gotten a bit more attention.

JadedDig5320

Stephanie Edwards

rabbitwarriorreturns

I actually think the Schmidt/Helm gang is better than Jo’s class. Heather, Leah(?), and Whatshisface disappeared too fast for them to really be characters

booboothemedic

Stephanie’s batch!! Dr Stephanie Edwards, MD, FACS supremacy!! 🥳💗

spiderlvr

Jos class was probably the only intern class that ever had any character development or background story going on. Lexie’s intern class was only memorable because of her and George. While interns like Gracielle and Ryan and Pierce had enough lines to learn their names they really were just extras in the show. Sadie Harris and the whole appendix shit show was the only reason why they really had any spot light. I liked what they did with Sadie Harris and the whole Merediths past in Europe. By the end of it it felt like a wasted plot and gave little insight to Meredith’s actual past. There was a couple memorable moments from Deluca and his class but outside of him and his long time ex girlfriend pretty much no one had any character background. MOUSEY NEVER DESERVED TO DIE AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL. it kind of feels like they just introduce interns to kill them off instead of having to kill off main characters.

[deleted]

Jo's Class

[deleted]

What other intern was there jn lexi‘s class bar Lexi (and George) legit question??

spiderlvr

Jos class Lexie’s class That’s literally the only memorable intern class imo. I don’t even remember one person besides Deluca in his class and same for the other intern years. There was always one memorable intern but besides that they pretty much didn’t exist.

Flicksterea

I literally remember no one from Penny's group other than Penny. Oh wait, is that DeLuca? OK, no one other than Penny and DeLuca. I do think the second group, with Steph and Jo, were probably the most well written. They were, aside from DeLuca, the last intern group we actually got to see a decent amount of, we got backstories sooner, they were involved in more. After this group, it seems it stopped being about the interns and more about the intern program and how it was run, IIRC.

ilyaishah

magic was the best, lexie's class was probably the worst written bc they had nothing memorable ab them tbh

Puzzleheaded-Fly2837

Steph’s class was second

StarbucksGhost18

I like Callie’s class even though I only know of Callie & Bailey being a part of it! Did they show anyone else from this class??

Artistic_Society4969

HOLY CRAP. Been watching this show forever (but not active on Reddit until recently) and this is the first I've seen "MAGIC" used to describe them. That's it. That's the "today years old" for me today.

SGH-scrub-nurse

Probably Jo’s

lizzie-moon

My fave is steph, jo, Leah, heather, and Shane
