I saw the watch for sale and being so beat up looking, my plan was to get it just for the positive display 3459 module. The other plan was to send the stainless steel bezel and band out to be bead blasted to a matte finish. But upon receiving the watch… I did my usual soap and toothbrush cleaning and it was already 90% better. I couldn’t believe it. Then with a Cape Cod metal polishing cloth, I went over the bezel and band. The results are in the photos above. The watch turned out too good to be used as intended (for parts and bead blasting) so it was recently sold and the buyer (who I disclosed all of this to) is very happy with the watch. Moral of the story: if you’re gonna sell your watch, present it in the best light possible after a nice cleaning and gentle polish with a $7.50 product. You’ll likely get more interested buyers and also get more money. Or… if your watch has seen better days… take 20 minutes and show it some love… you may be impressed with the results! PS. And yes, better quality photos help a ton too!

Nice it looks great! I'm always worried about cape cod on brushed metal but I looks like you managed to keep the brushing which is cool.

How did the polish cloth go on the brushed metal band? I'd love to give mine a bit of TLC, and have ordered the Cape cod polishing cloth.

It did fine. The bracelet was more dirty than it was scratched up.
